Nothing particularly wrong with the hotel but my stay was tempered by the homeless person walking up to my table in the pub to start begging for change.
Lovely, clean, centrally located hotel. Would highly recommend.
very very unkind front staff! And dirty making a room service. I do n t want to visit this hotel anymore!
The front desk staff unkindly explains it from the time of check-in and eventually charges you for breakfast that you did not use during your stay. It is said that it is non-refundable for your miscommunication. I have paid 180 pounds for a breakfast that I have never eaten. It's a hotel that tells you how to clean the room.
Fantastic, great customer service, were given the wrong room they promptly arrange adviser and offered us a free breakfast. Lovely decor and clean tidy open rooms.
top hotel. grand comfort room. beautiful swimming pool. giant breakfast !!!
Excellent large rooms and the use of the Regency club with many extra benefits
big improvemwnt over the last few years. close to pefect welcome and recognition to globalist
Expensive chocolate bars, drinks and crisps in room. Rooms nice size and clean. Reception lovely
This is a very well located hotel. Standard is what you would expect it from Hyatt
Good 4 star hotel. Some excellent wait staff at breakfast, gluten free menu available. Watch if signing bar bills on the room, had a couple credited to me while i was elsewhere for dinner. But sorted out without too much fuss.
Hotel is in a excellent location and provides good service.
Still waiting 3 days later from contact from the Office Manager as per the response relating to my initial complaint. Banging noises, drilling from 9am onwards on a day that I chose to have a lie-in and the front desk staff telling me that there is no complaints procedure. Scheduled drilling but not informing guests or moving them.. left with a headache!
Close to city centre, Friendly staff , Rooms very spacious and clean, Great place to stay.
Friendly staff, good nibbles. Attended for a conference
me and my wife go every year for our anaversrie
as far as we are conserned it is the best hotel we have stayed in and the service is fantastic.
i would recomend to any one
Nice standard of the room, bathrooms dont match 4* rating at all. Good service for the price, breakfast ok, very friendly and ptofessional staff. In general I recommend this hotel bathrooms really dont match nowadays standards, especially in comparison with continental hotels.
Good service, but bedrooms very dated.stayed in the club rooms which were average and not even a complimentary biscuit
Very accomodating Hotel. The Door Staff - front of house are the best I've encountered anywhere in the world. Those fellas are the first people you encounter approaching the Hotel and are a credit to the place. First impressions count and I'm happy to say it's consistent all the way through your stay with all the staff.
Very nice clean modern hotel with polite staff and high standards of cleanliness. Just needs to keep an eye on the queues in the bar - at one point 20 people queueing at 11pm with one member of staff on - so got bored and went to bed and drank the beer from the minibar instead. Unfirtunately no wine available. And at checkout at 10.30 10 people in the queue and one staff member on. Where is the management watching things like this?
Quite busy! Nonetheless, I had a great nights sleep! ;)
Nice rooms, great view, friendly staff, great location, pool, spa, gym.
Great business hotel as it always has been. Literally physically connected to the ICC & Symphony Hall by a bridge. A covered indoor walkway. Regency Club well worth the extra.
What you get for the price.!Not great. One expects better. / more
Few channels on the tv for free not the usual free view. Film4 etc.
Not even radio channels !.
On the bright side. Room is well appointed.
But hey that's a minimum!
If you make out YOU are a cut above the rest.
You have to prove it!
The hotel was very nice. Lovely presentation and immaculate too. The staff I encountered on reception were professional but not very warm or friendly so felt the service was a little lacking in that aspect.
Nice place, very fancy. Lots of Christmas parties this time of year.
Friendly accomodating staff good rooms nice pool and great sky bar
Best hotel in Birmingham. Stay here every year and always look forward to it. The service is great, bedrooms are good. Bar is the best part. Location also perfect.
Quite a nice hotel. Very central. Clean. Tidy. Good breakfast. Nice lounge area. Helpful staff.
Too expensive for what it's worth. Staff very friendly but facilities including room looked like it have seen better days.
The Hyatt is at the end of broad st it a nice position and nice clean I was at an show there but it seem well organised
Our family of 2 adults and 3 very lively boys under six years old have had a great overnight stay in adjoining rooms with plenty of space and very comfortable beds. The staff are efficient and courteous and we enjoyed a late lunch in the the bar and the kids ran free and no one complained! So an excellent hotel for families as our kids certainly had a great time! The view from our bedrooms over the enormous building site was something completely different!! But beware it was a nightmare to find the hotel (we'd never been to Birmingham) because of all the construction works and road closures, but totally worth it! We'll be back......
Only used the lobby which was pleasant but not outstanding.
Great hotel, neat and comfortable room. The adjoining corridor to the ICC is very handy.
Visited the bar. Nice place to sit but the most expensive bar I have been to in Birmingham.
This is how a hotel should be.
The whole place was clean and modern and well kept, I agree with some reviews that a few bits are dated but it does not spoil your stay.
We had a regency club room and this is well worth the extra, the club lounge was amazing and we commented that we could easily spend all day in there gazing out over the canal and city.
Sandra who worked in the lounge saw us at breakfast each time in there and was a shining star on our stay and a true credit to the hotel- could not do enough for us , we got engaged and she surprised us with a bottle of bubbly in our room and chocolates- she chatted to us and even showed us the suites on the level above which we hope to book next year. Johnathon Mellor also worth a shout for sorting a check in issue out quickly and professionally- our new favourite hotel in Birmingham- well done Hyatt
Attended a work related conference. Nice food available. The conference seating area was a bit cramped & we were eating in the same place for convenience so not the most comfortable. No tables & trying to eat with plates on our laps.
Better than expected.. staff Very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Afternoon tea .
I chose this hotel as the reviews were great and I was told other than the Marriott that it was the only other 4 star hotel. The concierge were great, as were the catering/bar staff. I woke up this morning wanting a live-in, only to be awoken by drilling and banging noises next door in the hotel. I was offered a free breakfast... as I was now up anyway!! I asked reception for complaints procedure, only to be told 'well it would just be letting the front reception staff know really'.. really shocking. The amount I paid per night (of which I stayed for 3), I would have expected some prior communication for this scheduled work. Shocking!!
Was nice and friendly had little snack with our drinks staff was very nice and helpful
Conveniently located right next to ICC. Right next to the 'going out district' @ Broad Str.
Spent a night here with the husband because we were getting ready to go to a friends wedding the next day that was at the Old Library. It is the Hyatt, what can I say? Lovely plush bath robes, slippers included, fluffy towels and firm mattress with blackout curtains. Throughly enjoyed my rest here. Though there was no parking except for valet, we lucked up and parked on the street. Hotel location was close to the mailbox which is a mall area and just 10-15 min walk to the main mall.
Me and my husband booked this hotel for our wedding night considering is it one of the best hotel in Birmingham. We booked it for 2 nights and I went stright from the wedding hall to the hotel, my husband had went to the hotel few days before the wedding to confirm booking and also add few extra touches to our room to make it speical which he had paid extra for. We checked in around midnight and we were held at the reception for a long time while they got us the keys and I was there standing in my white dress after a long stressful day waiting for the keys. Okay that's not all it it gets worse! we got the keys, go to the room to find that we are in a room with 2 single beds not the room we booked and nothing from the extras my husband had paid for was there! Everything was a mess! husband had to leave me and go down and complain we spend the first hour just waiting and moving from one room to another. Yes we were evently moved into a double bed room( yet with none of the extras we paid for ) but we were very disappointed speically beacuse we went the extra mile to make our wedding night speical and it was more or less ruined by Hyatt hotel & staffs. We were and still extremely disappointed, never will we visit again or recommend this hotel to family or friends.
Comfortable room and excellent breakfast - great choice of cooked and continental. Very helpful and friendly staff. Ideally situated for the Arena, Symphony Hall and Convention Centre.
I rented a room for 9 days and shot a film here. The professionalism of the staff was impeccable and everyone, no matter how lowly or significant their role within the hotel seemed to bend over backwards to accomodate. It has to lose a star for its pricing, which frankly, is often extortionate, but if you have the money, you're looking to treat your girlfriend or your partner, there is no better place in Birmingham in my experience. Highly recommended. Big, clean rooms and full floor to ceiling windows ooze class. It's a pity the wifi costs are so over priced. Views from the upper rooms are superb.
We stayed here for my hen do and the staff were fantastic. Very helpful. The room was spotless. The spa was great and clean. There was a gent playing the piano in the foyer. It's beautiful and I'd love to go and stay again. The beds were really comfy as well!
Very nice hotel, the view from the higher floors is very impressive. The hotel is usually pretty busy but it copes very well and has a bustling efficient vibe.
Very nice hotel. Well decorated, clean, friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and have everything you neeed; the higher floors have great views. Conveniently situated; just round the corner from Broad Street, and walking distance to central Birmingham and the Mailbox. There are limited parking spaces outside but many other car parks nearby. Facilities include an excellent swimming pool.
All about the breakfast !!
Stayed a few times at the hotel, but I m reviewing the breakfast here if you fancy a treat head over and get spoilt !
The service is 5 star and the menu is amazing best kept secret in Brum!
Very noisy room due to disco till 3am, not impressed
Second time we came to stay. Had a good time and made good use of the pool and sauna. Room was high quality as expected and service very forthcoming
Only tried afternoon tea, best afternoon tea I've had.
