Really it was worth to stay over there. A good experience for comfortable stay.
Really it was worth to stay over there. A good experience for comfortable stay.
Nice hotel in the centre of the city with good amenities and staff.
A very comfortable stay. Lovely hotel and the service is always excellent.
Wine bar and beautiful parlour room with open fire is a wonderful place to meet friends. A little expensive but it is your little treat to you surrounded by history and art.
Great service, comfy beds, cosy environment! Couldn t have asked for more. It was a great stay
Went to the restaurant for breakfast on Saturday morning. Was a great selection and variety of food. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Went with a 1 year old and was plenty of options for kids too as well as high chair and kid friendly utensils. Will go again! Thanks
Fantastic service!!! The culinary director was very helpful ... Prompt and went out of the way to help us with our stay... The chef went out of the way to get some veg options for our family... Very rare when the head chef comes over and helps you with veg options !!:-) really appreciate the service!! Highly recommend it
Always warm, clean and classy.. best service and food is delicious..
My regular coffee place for meeting old colleagues.
Wow, what a venue. The courtyard is absolutely the place for a light lunch.
One of the best hotels in Australia. An amazing low rise and spacious hotel which exudes luxury. From the very first greeting by concierge through to the spacious rooms, this hotel is first class and I highly recommend.
Very confusing hallways but pleasant staff and nice long bathtub.
Promenade cafe! Awesome food and service. Food is fantastic
Very comfortable rooms lovely big bathroom! Lots of dining options. Will stay again.
Accommodation was fine but the holding charge takes 5 days to come off the card. Ridiculous
We had the club ambassador lounge deal.
We have stayed here many times and been very happy prior to this visit.
This time we got up to the club ambassador lounge, best seats were booked (and the whole 2 hours remained unused), therefore limited seating. By the time we got to dessert there was hardly anything left.
Crying baby in ambassador lounge.
The worst experience we have ever had here.
Very disappointing. Service was awful.
We visited the Hyatt Hotel for the seafood buffet during the evening. The staff were very polite and it was a very high class place. I must say the staff were trained very well and everything was maintained at a very high level. The food was great and really fresh especially the seafood! The deserts were also really good however I must say that with their considerable charge, we were disappointed that there were only a limited amount of food. However this trade off was justified since the range of foods offered were very well maintained and tasted great.
Visiting the Hyatt Hotel Canberra need not consist of accommodation or a meal. They also do coffee and cake which is a good treat once in a while or for a special occasion.
Very spacious hotel and rooms. Very clean, all maintained and professional staff. However, no food alternatives around other than the hotel restaurants / cafes.
Very poor options for vegetarians at their Christmas buffet
Average as far as highetts go. I will definately stay elsewhere next time I visit canberra
I was there to photograph a wedding bridal party getting ready, so I wasn't a paying guest.
I was waiting in the lobby for a few hours because the bride didn't want pre dress photos and the concierge made sure I was ok and gave me a bottle of water, even though my client was the guest and I was just a visiting worker.
The staff there was excellent and I appreciate the care, understanding and help the Hotel afforded someone like me.
A fabulous venue for High Tea. Great value, staff friendly. Service a little slow but they were busy.
Went to a wonderful wedding ceremony and reception at the Hyatt. The hotel was fantastic, providing us with everything we needed for the evening. The staff were professional and always nearby if we needed anything. Overall it was an excellent evening and we will look forward to our next visit to the Hyatt.
This hotel boasts lovely decor, but it is aging in areas which needs a face lift like bathrooms. During colder months, it can be hard pressed to have to walk outside to the club house where the gym, pool and sauna reside. Some cleaning in the club house shower facilities couldn't go amiss either. Overall great stay though.
My review will mostly target Hyatt's facilities like lounge tea room and restaurant as I've never needed a hotel in Canberra and can't comment on rooms and service.
I've been to the tea room and restaurant many time and always live it. It's a preferred place to go to with my girlfriends. When we think we would like to try some new place and can choose one which satisfies all we all agree to again go to Hyatt.
There's lovely atmosphere where you can relax, have a nice glass of wine and not prohibited for having a good laugh with girls.
We tried high tea, seafood buffet, and tried a la cart menu at tea lounge; we also went to have Xmas breakfast with work colleagues. Hyatt never disappoint! The food and wine are pricey but you also pay for atmosphere and service and variety so it's worth the price.
I received a $250 Hyatt gift voucher as a wedding gift and wanted to use it to have a special Newy Years Eve dinner with my husband and son. Despite being asked the voucher number, they made me come in and present the coucher to book. I did this and the total of the booking came to $220 so I asked if we could add some coctilas on teh evening to use the full amount. The woman organising NYE said no, you can only use the coucher once and I will put it through now. I was astonished to say the least. I argued that the Hyatt was pocketing $30 and unbelievably she wouldn't agree. FInally she agreed to the cocktails but then sent me confirmation of the evening without it. Again - I had to call the manager and explain the whole thing again in order to get a voucher for $30, only to be used on NYE for a cocktail. I would rate the service at the Hyatt at about 2 star.
Lovely Hotel! Friendly and efficient staff. Great food and beautiful grounds and gardens.
Attended a one day conference at the Hyatt and received 5 star service and catering. Friendly and polite staff.
The dinner was delicious and the service was fantastic
Very nice hotel, good service, room and bathroom are quite big.
Majestic old building. Very large rooms. Great hygiene kit in the bathroom. Super comfy beds - extremely high end. Great staff, friendly 24h service.
The location was nice, the staff very polite and helpful, the beds surprisingly comfortable.
Staff were good, food was good. Signage could be better, easy to get lost
Nice hotel with bargain price because of pandemic. If you go Canberra, I would definitely recommend Park Hyatt at this price. Free evening parking available at the back of the hotel. Service is excellent and room is perfect.
Fantastic premium hotel. Old style building and service. On site parking. Really nice atmosphere.
Today (Sat 14th Dec 2019) I went to the Hyatt hotel buffet at around 6pm. Today was a very important day however I was deeply dissapointed. I found lots of moulding on the dessert tarts and the hygiene was not great at all. I went here through a positive recommendation however I did not share the same experience. After eating the food, I did not feel well at all. This buffet is also quite pricey however the hygiene and quality levels are not acceptable at all. I was very dissapointed today and has left us with such a disappointing day.
We came from Sydney and hands down a fantastic venue with professional staff and surrounding areas to capture beautiful Wedding Photography and Video!
We really love the breathtaking view that the Hyatt Hotel has to offer!
Great service, very clean, well appointed rooms. Very accomodating
Great place to spend relaxing Xmas eve with family.
I didnt stay had lunch sharing platter it was one of the worst meal that I have had we are four ladies and to have to shell prawns and crab and the next platter was turkey and beef the turkey was cut very thick and one plate of veg for four people one piece of carrot we had to fight over it and Brussels sprouts must have been cheap we have been going to the Hyatt for Christmas lunch four years and allway loved the food but today was very disappointing and to charge $78 for that food we will not be back and we will be telling our friends lift your game or get a new chef
The Promenade offers an a la carte menu and a buffet. The a la carte food is superbly prepared & presented, the only limitation is thst the meals have only small amounts of veg or salad on the side, which if you're that way inclined (like me), you need spend more on plates of sides (which are all 1 person serves). For that reason I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option.
Brilliant stay. Excellent staff, beautiful rooms and in a convenient location. Can't wait to stay again.
Sophisticated and elegant. Perfect for a celebratory get together.
The bar was a bit expensive, but a very good atmosphere.
With all my experienced staying at hotels. I find this Hyatt hotel in Canberra Australia is the worst and dirties hotel the world.(garbage)
Nice, up market feeling. polite and eager to help staff, though the event catering was a little plain. Parking was easy.
Wonderful food service decor & ambience, fantastic venue to celebrate our anniversary!!
The atmosphere was great. It was easy to hear the people talking at my table. The drinks did take a to little long, with hot drinks served before the cold drinks.
One of the better hotels in Canberra and it is very close to the Parliament House. Step out of the hotel you can see the Parliament House immediately. It is also next to the lake which has good view. The hotel has reasonable rates and service is very good. Breakfast has many food selection. The room is clear and nice too. The onsite parking is also a bonus.
The hotel allowed a function in a room under a large number of guest rooms - heavy rock music until 11.00 pm. It was a nightmare - like staying in a sleazy nightclub. Despite many requests of management to stop
the unacceptable noise reverberating through the room I was told they had a contract and I would have to put up with it until 11.00 pm. Worst experience ever in what was supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Don t stay here unless they can assure you they won t book out the place as a nightclub. Sleep impossible.
Very good service, staff were fantastic. If you have the money well worth the stay
Aesthetically, the hotel is of the highest standard and the reception staff were helpful and courteous, however, I found it impossible to sleep due to certain members of the night shift staff who were speaking at the top of their lungs and moving equipment around without any consideration for the sleeping guests. There was also a loud engine sound that would constantly start up, rumble for a few minutes and then shut off again. This too went on for hours, had I been able to sleep, I may have enjoyed my experience.
Beautiful afternoon spent at the Hyatt Canberra. High tea was well catered and a great option for something special and a little out of the ordinary. Staff were friendly and attentive and the setting is hard to beat on a warm afternoon.
We have wanted to stay here for years and now we have. We loved everything about it room fantastic, staff friendly and efficient, breakfast amazing and building beautiful.
Received a two tier upgrade to a themed suite despite being an ordinary base level Hyatt member. Thank you.
The club lounge serves good food at happy hour but can be overcrowded. You make your own coffee rather than being served as in some upscale hotel.
Overall the only hotel I will stay at in Canberra.
Had drinks and then buffet breakfast. Was excellent!
Attended for conference over two days. Good function facilities
My wife and I love this place its such a lovely place to spend a long weekend. Staff are lovely food is fantastic, we always have the high tea yum. Then we can walk it off around the lake highly recommend this place we can't get enough of it.
Lovely old building, great service and terrific food and beverages
As someone who travels for work a lot, you soon build a mental list of preferences in accommodation. This is my preferred hotel in Canberra, top 3 in the country. Staff are excellent, rooms are spacious and modern, facilities great so i never need to leave in the evening and never had an average meal in the restaurant or room service.
