Walter Najarro, Sales Manager, at Carter Honda Van...

Walter Najarro, Sales Manager, at Carter Honda Vancouver sold me a used car from his lot. It was a great experience and he was very professional. I really appreciated the transparency of this dealership.

Response time was great and I felt a genuine interest to help me find the right car. Similar to any product or service, you pay a little more for better service. The car is running fine and there's the Honda Vehicle Guarantee that gives you peace of mind for at least 3 years.

I don't recommend dealerships in general, but I will recommend to specifically ask for Walter Najarro.

Purchased a HRV through Carter Honda.

We had a few other make/models in mind when we were shopping, but really appreciated the approach of our sales agent , Nick Ng.

He answered all of our concerns timely manner, without the high sales pitch at a typical car dealership. He was great during the test drive and took the time to explain key features of the vehicle

Towards the end of the deal, we also spoke with Bob Louie to go over the final numbers. Overall a smooth purchasing experience.

Alan li was a good sales rep. He took the time to lead me on a very thorough test drive complete with hills curves and a long stretch so I could feel how the car drives.
He was attentive to answering our questions and providing us with info we needed.
I am very happy with my purchase! When we came to pick up the car Alan took his time to walk me through all the features my 2015 Odyssey has! After the fact Alan has been very good at returning my calls or texts full of questions on how to work all the great features my car has!

Chelsey, the finance person, was not as thorough or clear in her communication and I left feeling more confused about the different warranties and protection plans and what I agreed to pay for. Afterwards I emailed and called her with some telephone rage and even her agreeing to call me at a certain time and not calling at the time I set aside for her. This was very frustrating and I m still left with no answers more than a month after the purchase.

Would definitely recommend Carter Honda for any of your future purchases. The staff was amazing and sociable, especially Kevin who provided excellent customer service. If you ever go visit Carter Honda, you should definitely ask for his help! I purchased a 2019 HR-V which I am throughly enjoying.

I was helped by Bill Lalli and his manager Salar, I have to tell you this was one of the most amazing experience I have had out of the 4 cars I bought since 2010. Bill is on top of things from day 1, when I went to meet Bill, I went down to trade my Mercedes C43 to Accord and I also met Salar and he was amazing as well, we had a great chat, Bill understood what I was looking for and there was NO PUSH for sales (which is an amazing talent to possess when you are in sales- convincing the customer to buy the car without making them feel pushed into), Loved every bit of follow up calls and messages to update me about my car. I will definitely be back again to get another car for my wife.

To honest I live in South Surrey, I had gone to Surrey Honda first, Murray Hyundai and Jim Pattison Toyota (not so good customer service).

I went all the way to Downtown because of the way Bill treated me from day 1. Keep it up Bill and I am sure you will shine like a rock star and good luck on your future endeavours.

Took my Honda S2000 in for a simple wheel balance....

Took my Honda S2000 in for a simple wheel balance. It was finished when promised, and the agent was nice, but the rest of this story makes me seriously question the aptitude of the technicians at this store.

All four rims were damaged when I got it back. Apparently this is from their balancing machine. What threw me is that after damaging the first wheel, this company decided it was a good idea to continue on ruining the other three. Best part is that THEY DIDN"T EVEN TELL ME. I HAD TO FIND IT ONCE I GOT HOME AND RETURN TO ASK ABOUT IT.

I really wish the story ended there, but unfortunately it doesn't. After seeing the damage, and realizing that nobody was using logic or due process in making decisions, I decided I should probably check to make sure they actually torqued my wheels on properly. They didn't. Honda specifications are about 100 pounds per square foot. I had one wheel at over 200 which will damage brakes and bearings, one wheel at the proper 100, one at 80, and the last was barely at 60 WHICH IS LOOSE ENOUGH TO COME OFF WHILE DRIVING.

I certainly DO NOT reccomend these guys. They don't seem to care, and compared to my experiences with Vancouver Honda on Marine Drive this place shouldn't even be in business.

We purchased a 2018 Honda CRV ExL in the summer because we were looking for a more spacious and fuel efficient family vehicle, that would fit our outdoor lifestyle.

I had done a lot of research on compact suv's and on paper the CRV was one of the vehicles I wanted to actually test drive before making a purchase.

After seeing and driving the CRV, it almost sold itself. I was very impressed with the car and it was a coin toss between the CRV and Subaru Forrester, as to which car we were going to get.

The buying experience from the staff (Erica) at Carter was one of the factors that swayed our decision to purchase the CRV over the Forrester.

There are a lot of Honda dealerships in the lower mainland which gives the buyer a bit of leverage as you have lots of options if you don't like a particular dealership, however I liked the staff at Carter Burrard and was happy with my choice.

If I had any critical feedback, it would have been the extended warranty buying experience after we already agreed on buying the CRV. I felt I had to explain multiple times why we chose to decline any extended warranty coverage and if ever I felt pressured it was during that time.

That all being said, overall, it was an enjoyable buying experience. I'd have no issues recommending Carter Burrard to friends and would most likely go back for any future Honda purchases.

Terrible customer service. The sales person all they want is money. They will be nice to you at the beginning, but once they know you are not interested they will treat you like garbage. Go to lexus, the best sales and customer service you can get.

i recently had a tire service done through carter motorsports
i bought 2 brand new dunlop tires from them as well had them install my tires and my new front and rear sprocket and chain kit.
customer service was absolutely amazing
Chris in service/ parts as well as Lea in service were great help and timely updates!! i highly highly recommend carter motorsports for anyone looking to buy a motorcycle from or if its just a simple service on your bike!!

Do not buy ANYTHING from the business office!! And also, the interest rate that they offer you is inflated by the business manager. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

They are very sketchy about disclosing vehicle pricing and will pull every trick in the book to fool you into a bad deal!

Traded my 7 year old toyoto for a shining Pilot in this place. 100% satisfactory in every aspect in the whole process. Great SUV with a lot of techs, great place which is convenient and bright, and great staff who is professional and friendly. The pleasant experience is a stark contrast to that I experienced in Jim Pattison Toyota, which I gave a bad review. I definitely recommend Carter Honda and Stephen Li!

I never felt pressured to purchase anything upon walking in, and Bob was very patient answering all the questions we had! Bob and his incredible team went above and beyond to make our experience as smooth and stress-free as possible even despite some glitches. Just traded-in our Fords for a couple of Hondas from this dealer. I cold-called into the dealership through their number on the website and I was surprised to get stellar, personal service from the sales guys. Ariel, the sales manager, is one of the best I've dealt with. He made sure to address all my needs and concerns and he got me the vehicle I wanted at fair price. I came into the dealership with a defensive outlook (as I do with any other dealer), expecting to be scammed, but these guys really do everything to make sure all your concerns and needs are addressed to your satisfaction. I felt comfortable in no time. My sales guy, Andy, was also great. He knew almost every operational and technical question i had about the car and continues to provide after sales assistance to us. If you are in the market for a Honda, pay them a visit, you won't regret it.

Two repair sessions had to be completed on an old...

Two repair sessions had to be completed on an older Honda CRV .The work involved two separate difficult diagnoses of the check engine light . All remedial work to date has been completed satisfactorily and additional charges have not made for work that was redundant . The service advisor, Bill was efficient , explained work required clearly and made the effort to have the correct repairs done in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible . I do not think these repairs could have been done easily in an independent shop
Update June 6th 2017....Unfortunately the check engine light came on again during a run on the Hope Princeton highway, while driving the car to Alberta . This time, soon after the check engine light came on , the car quit running while we were stopped at a construction stop zone: the radiator immediately overheated.
The car had to be towed back to Vancouver.

UPDATED REVIEW: 25C and no AC. I have now had my Civic from Carter Honda for just over 2 years 4 trips to the service department over warranty problems totalling to just over 20 hours of my time and I STILL have to go back. The reason I am now updating my review is because my AC was not working (blowing hot air) I had it checked when I was getting a recall sorted (trip one and two) and they said the fluid was low and for me to bring it back another time to get fixed so my 3rd time back to Carter Honda I get my AC fixed it was working well for a couple of weeks when it was once again blowing hot air. I called and brought my car back in for the 4th time to get it checked again; 4+ hours later I get a call saying the issue is covered under warranty but the part needed will take several weeks to come in. I asked if they could 'top up' my fluids in the mean time so I could have AC until the part came in and was told no Honda would not cover the $150 cost because it wouldn't solve the problem. So it is now 25C I have a virtually brand new Honda and I do not have AC in my car and apparently will have NO AC for a while longer. This is insane to me how there was NO empathy NO other options NOTHING has been done to make me feel like a valued customer. Its easy to get great customer service before you buy even a week or two after but I can't express how disappointed I am with how my situation has been dealt with at Carter Honda. I can't see my self purchasing with them again.

After visiting several Honda dealerships I was beginning to feel getting a new Honda Civic wasn't meant to be. I was, insulted, lied to and had my time wasted at two Open Road Honda dealerships and had been told by another dealership it would take 2-3 weeks for the desired model and color civic I wanted to come in; while other dealerships were selling them. On a whim I decided to look around at other dealerships and came across Carter Honda. They had the model and color I was looking for according to their site and it was in stock. Before I made the trip down to buy a car I called in advance to ensure that it was still in stock and for sale. I spoke with Lyle on the phone he was great. After heading down to Carter Honda and taking a civic cope for a test drive I was ready to buy. Discussing price was as to be expected for purchasing a car but no cheap sales tactics were involved. Lyle wanted to get me the best price I was comfortable with. we came to an agreed price and I then sat down with Sabrina (business manager) who was fantastic! In my opinion she has the right personality for her job. I put my deposit down and would go back the next day to finalize everything and get my new car. Next morning Sabrina followed up with me to let me know everything was on schedule. Went back to Carter, Lyle showed me around my new car while I waited for Sabrina to finish up with other customers. Sabrina did not pressure or push me to purchase any extras which was a nice feeling considering how many bad stories i had heard about the topic (I did purchase extended warranty later). Paperwork signed and insurance sorted I was a owner of a new 2016 Carter Honda Civic! Only thing that was missing was my car mats which had to be ordered which was understandable. Lyle had fantastic followup regarding the mats and kept me in the loop. Overall experience at Carter Honda was 5 star and will be recommending anyone i know looking for a Honda to head their way! Since we got the car we only have problem with the tired and no one can't help us ... i had to call honda road service and they came after 1 day and a half so i wasn't able to go to work.

They took my car and left me at home i don't have any car now no one can help us at any dealer or at honda canada we called so many time and no one can help Nevers ever had a bad services like that before , i wont go back with honda anymore its a messss

I lost 2 days of work my time my patience and lots of money and after all no one can help

I was very satisfied with the services provided at Carter Honda during the purchase of my Honda Pilot (2011). Their price for the used car was best in lower mainland and that prompted me to drive to their location which was very far from my place. I dealt with Alan Li, the Sales Consultant who provided very honest assessment of the used car and explained all the features in detail. All team members were very courteous and made me feel as a valued customer. Ariel helped me give the best possible price for my trade-in which was much more than any other location. Truong was also very kind in explaining the features and noting the minor details I requested.
The experience with the finance department with Sabrina and during the ICBC insurance went flawless and a one-stop shop really added to the joy of getting a new car.
Alan personally drove the car next day for delivery and I would highly recommend the services of Carter Honda.

We've been going here for years for both our Hondas. Service has been deteriorating gradually. Just recently, we had snow tires and a Type B service done which was to take 3 hours, Instead it took 5 hours, which wreaked havoc with my schedule and caused a lot of stress. 2 days later I get a dashboard light saying tire pressure was low. I called to complain as now I have to go back in for them to fix the tire pressure and reset the warning light so even more time wasted. I was told a manager would call me that day. 2 days later, I'm still waiting....terrible service

Winston was so understanding and helpful in guiding me towards making a decision of what repairs were a priority for my car right now. I didn t feel pressured to make an (expensive) impulsive decision but I also appreciated his input!!

I called almost every dealer in the lower mainland and in the end no one could compete with Carter Honda. Joel from sales went above and beyond what needed to be done. I had something that needed to be done a couple days later and the entire team at Carter made sure i got what i needed. I rarely do reviews, but i had to for these guys. If you want a good experience with no added fees (most dealerships added fees once i arrived) go to Carter the owner is a very honest down to earth guy. No sleazy people in sales which is so important for a business. Thank you Carter Honda for giving me an easy experience. 10/10

I struck a deal and when I picked up the vehicle, there was no breakdown on the contract. Disconcertingly, they made me do the legwork to figure out the price breakdown only to find out that they were attempting to charge more than the negotiated price. They ultimately never honoured the agreed upon price nor did they apologize for any wrongdoing. I walked away from this horrible experience and purchased this vehicle in an alternative Vancouver Honda dealer for the exact same price, except this time, with exceptional service. This is my worst buying experience ever in my 40 years of buying vehicles.

We just bought our first family car at Carter- a Touring. If there were more than 5 stars to give to Mark R., I would gladly do it! My husband and I felt so comfortable and confident in Mark's capable and knowledgable hands. We are thrilled with our purchase and the service received. We look forward to working with Mark in the future and know if we need anything that we can reach out and he is happy to help. (I don't think I could say that about any other car salesperson I have worked with before). He is not pushy but rather well informed, kind and very funny. He absolutely made a big and important purchase a fun and easy one! I would recommend him to any of my friends. Carter on Burrard was a great choice for us!

Ending your lease earlier is never very welcomed by a dealer. But Sami Omar was very helpful, professional and helped me to make the process as easy as possible. I would recommend him with no hesitation. Far cry from the service I received on the North Shore.

Professional and great service that's all I can say! We checked out other dealerships and we felt the sales were aggressive and pushy; but when you walk into Carter Honda, everyone is nice and greet you with a smile, they give you space to browse around without harassing you the minute you walk in! Anyhow, our sales guy was Lyle, he's professional, efficient, and patient, he is very clear in explaining all the details, especially to my elderly parents while entertaining my 2.5 year old son! Most importantly, he responds to texts/emails within seconds! I strongly recommend Lyle in Carter Honda, thank you and my parents love their HRV!
