Three years ago, I purchased a high-end HP envy laptop for $1600. One year post-purchase I had a hardware issue with the motherboard. The laptop was still under warranty, so I sent it to get repaired. 6 months later, I had another issue with the motherboard. It was still under warranty, so I asked my escalation manager at HP to ensure that the root cause of this issue was being addressed while the laptop was still under warranty. There should not have been the same issue with the hardware, under such a short amount of time if it had already been fixed. They assured me that they d address the root cause of the problem, and I sent it back for repairs. A year later, for a third time, I ve had another hardware issue, with my motherboard. My computer is no longer under warranty, though I believe the root cause of what has been ailing my computer has never been addressed, even while I was a paying customer of HP s customer care plan. Today, I spent over 4 hours on the phone with HP, trying to explain the situation I m having, and trying to find some sort of agreeable solution to move forward and have my computer fixed. After speaking with several people in multiple departments, I finally was connected with Joyti, the supervisor in Repairs. I was told there was nothing they could do for my laptop as it was out of warranty. They said they could offer zero discount on trying to find some kind of solution and said the base cost of assessing and fixing my computer would be ~$500.

In total, I ve spent over 24 hours on the phone with HP, to resolve all of these issues to try to find a way to stop this reoccurring issue. I have paid over $2000 on a laptop, including extended warranty, and this high-end product has lasted less than 3 full years. I put in tons of time and money and am now left with no laptop, an awful customer experience, and I feel completely disrespected in the way that they have treated me.

To anyone interested in purchasing an HP product, please don t just look at the technical reviews of the product. Look into customer service reviews and ensure you are going with a company that has positive feedback. I have never been so disappointed as a customer and I strongly suggest not ever purchasing a product from this disorganized, rude, and incompetent company.

I am so disappointed with HP with the amount of money spent you would think HP would have better procedures handling everything from making the product to shipping... I bought the HP Spectre with custom configurations and spent almost 3000 dollars. I made the purchase back in May and here we are after July fourth with no laptop and an email stating I will not receive it until December 2020. Had I known I was gonna go through this experience I would have never of purchased from these guys and the amount of money spent is just ridiculous to have to go through this. I even purchased 2 day shipping like is that a joke or something. This is by far the worst purchase of 2020 and my outlook towards HP had drastically diminished

This company has put out inferior products. I've stopped using your printers, and I'm typing on a laptop that was sold with an attachable fan to keep it from overheating. It still overheats horribly, and who can carry a cooling attachment to the coffee shop that doesn't work? To send a laptop to the public that overheats within 15min from regular use is irresponsible. Put out some quality!

HP printer customer service, in India, asked to take control of our pc to fix our new defective all-in-one printer.
My 95 yr old Mom agreed and the monitor screen lite up like the 4th with all the lowered firewall viruses and computer crud out there !!
Took a tech 40hrs to clean the pc and HP continues to deny any responsibility for their India employee.

Bad bad bad HP !!

Do not buy HP s touchscreen printers! I purchased a brand new printer 5 years ago and the touchscreen no longer works. I called Tech Support and they told me I have to purchase another one since the 1 year warranty is expired and that my printer s hardware was out of date!!! What?! After 5 years of light use??!

I should ve never got rid of my old HP printer from college it was very simple, no touchscreen etc., nothing fancy and it lasted for years and I gave it to a friend since I thought I wanted to upgrade !!!!!! I m disappointed that I valued my past experience with HP s product quality so much that purchased 2 of the newer models only to be told it s out of date now !

I m more than sure that HP knows this printer is faulty and needs a recall so I m going to file a formal complaint.
Printer: HP OfficeJet 4650

HP Instant ink is a JOKE. Received our first black, blue and yellow cartridges but not red. Put off printing for over 3 months since we were out of red. Finally went and bought red at the store. Called to cancel due to their incompetency and they offered to wave one month fee (2.99) which is no where near our cost to purchase the cartridge. Then they had the audacity to tell me once it was cancelled they were going to "turn my ink off" and I would have to go buy all new cartridges. What a scam.

Really bad service from your Bangkok office. Brand new lap tops and endless problems within the first month and HP staff in Bangkok, Thailand. Staff is so rude and not helpful at all. Will never buy any more stuff from HP and will post on different social media about the worst service levels of HP. 20 years of loyalty business to HP and finished in this way. Will never recommend any one to goto HP any more.

Zero stars if it were possible! Screen broke so I did online chat--DONT DO IT! THEY WILL LOG YOUR INFO AND NOT ALLOW YOU TO PURCHASE THE ACCIDENTAL PROTECTION WHICH CLEARLY SAYS IT CAN BE BACKDATED--THEIR SERVICE PROVIDERS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING AND WILL NOT BE OF HELP. THEY WANTED $600 TO REPAIR A CRACKED SCREEN...IT WASN'T MUCH MORE BRAND NEW! I'LL GET A DIFFERENT BRAND, MAYBE APPLE OR LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE. I SHOULD'VE KNOWN AFTER SPYGATE THAT HP COULD NOT BE TRUSTED. I WILL BE HAPPY TO THROW YOUR JUNK AWAY!

I had my printer off for a few months, then turned it back on and was out of ink immediately. I waited 3 weeks before calling customer service to get some ink delivered, because I thought it was supposed to be automatic. Customer service assured me that they would fix the problem and rush me some ink - 2 business days. It has now been 2&1/2 weeks and I still do not have ink. I'm done with "Instant" Ink. Do not charge me again for cancelling, because you already did between my call to customer service and now, without sending me ink, so that is fraud. If you charge me again, I will give you bad reviews on every forum that I can. You got a lot of money out of me already, while my computer was off and caused me a whole lot of hassle with important documents.

Awful experience with customer/tech service. The reported static noise problem on laptop Envy x 360 was not repaired properly - the static noise reappeared a couple of months after expiration of warranty. Per internet posts, HP new about it and continued selling the faulty laptops.

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STAR IF I COULD.

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STAR IF I COULD.

They refuse the let me print a black and white document after I spend $50 to replace black ink!!!!!! They ask me to spend $150 more for color ink before I can print black and white documents.

Printer worked fine until I changed the ink to GENUINE CARTRIDGES and then not only did the paper get into "constantly jammed/never print again" mode, but the SCANNER gets stuck in a mode where it scans 68 pages in a 10-page feed, and then takes HOURS to cancel the scan.

COMPLETELY. USELESS.

I might set this printer on fire, but I'm afraid it might not even burn correctly.

You win. Hearing FIFTY times all of our agents are busy at the moment, please stay on the line in a matter of 10 minutes got me off the customer support phone. I regret giving you any money. I ll consider a refund because I m terrified that I may have to endure that again after the 14 day grace period is finished. This level of service after spending +$1,200 is disgraceful, you can t even have a tracking link in the order confirmation email without the need to register for an account?

Making your support line annoyingly repeat the same phrase five times a minute to get people off the line? Pathetic.

They Should ve Stuck With Printers.

They Should ve Stuck With Printers.

For about twenty years, HP was my brand for printers, scanners, and then the all-in-one machines where I could fax as well. It was a perfect relationship of quality and service, worthy of a brand loyalty I rarely give. However, blind loyalty got me burned. Again! I bought an HP laptop to replace my old Toshiba M45 (an excellent laptop). This time I wanted to buy it online since I found out custom configuration was available. I got the best NVIDIA, memory, HDD s, Processor, etc. This was the first laptop I bought with two separate drives as well. This way I can continue my practice of moving and storing my work, (C: to D:). Within in a week, the C: stopped working. I got an operating system (OS) not found error. I went to their contracted service vendor, Best Buy (BB) and they failed to fix the problem. After dealing with BB, I became aware, on my own, that my laptop problem was hardware related. So, I sent it to HP directly. HP emailed me an RMA label and were helpful with getting it shipped back. They even advised me to back up my D: files. This turned out to be excellent advice. It s another practice I continue often using external HDD s, SDD s, thumb drives, etc. HP sent it back after some time. They said the C: HDD was replaced. When I got it back I thought maybe something was broken because I could feel the contents shifting within the shipping box. I opened it to find HP used too large a box. However, at least they used foam cushioning at the ends of the laptop even though the middle was vulnerable. It started up great. However, the D: wasn t found. Considering the service from HP and their BB buddies, I went to a computer repair outside their sphere of influence. Turns out that HP simply swapped the C: with the D: instead of replacing the C: with a new part. I m all for recycling and getting the most use out of items. However, the judgment HP used here resulted in a total service failure. Considering this, the attitudes from HP and their contractors, and other component problems, I simply can t do business this way. I simply don t have the time to invest in PC problems. It s enough and more rewarding learning the various softwares I use. When I buy a new PC, I need the confidence to turn the key and drive. I m an end user, not an Electrical Engineer.

Bad Warranty/Customer Service Issues! Unfortunate...

Bad Warranty/Customer Service Issues! Unfortunately I have had the mis-pleasure of dealing w/ HP on and off for 3yrs. Three different Hard Drive issues with HP all in one Pavilion 23 desk top and 2 Hard Drive/ Software issues 14 inch Laptop. Now that my HP Pavilion Desk Top is coming up on 3yrs old, they will not allow me to purchase a extended warranty as promised back in January 2018 when extended warranty was added/valid through 9-1-2018 for work done when hard drive replaced again for 3rd time. HP is aware I was given gift cards to apply to new warranty purchase in Sept 2018 as advised by manager, now they won't honor that commitment stating based on age of computer they can't service after 3yrs do to may not have the parts available? I find this completely unacceptable and feel HP has left me out in the cold with no service options in the event my Desk Top goes out AGAIN. One Customer service agent in sales did really try to help me to add warranty, but my Desk Top isn't listed as a option to purchase a extended warranty.
I understand that in this day and age computers become out dated, but in this case HP needs to honor previous commitments and stand behind their product. I DO NOT trust my Pavilion to last do to previous issues, and I was informed if I have a issue may just need to buy a new computer?? Well thanks HP I bet that is exactly what you want all customers to do. When my computers are just used for simple home internet use/searches such as amazon,Google, yahoo, Pandora and simple banking needs I expected the computer to work for years.
I will never purchase another HP product again and completely disappointed in all the wasted time and energy that has gone into dealing with this company the last 3 years.

HP does not stand behind their products. I sent in a laptop that would not power on. The will not fix it because it has physical damage. Supervisor told me any dings, scratches, dents, etc will void the warranty even if they have nothing to do with the issue. She said I should take it to Best Buy or a local shop....Well check their parts site and they do not offer motherboards for this model so no one else can fix it.
Years ago I opened a new HP version of a palm pilot. Opened it up and the lower corner of the screen was dark and did not display. I sent it in and they not only said this wasn't covered, they also said I had to either pay to get if fixed (over $200 for a $300 device) or pay a bench fee for refusing service. So they would not cover a device that was bad right out of the box.

The support team for HP is very unsupported. All my products are HP and I called yesterday for some help printing Avery Labels. The printer was working fine yesterday and now it is not so I called to revive my computer as it was before the phone call yesterday and they would NOT assist. Refused to let me speak to a manager. I had a case number and was not asked to shell out money yesterday so why would I today? I have an HP Laptop, two printers, buy HP ink and paper yet can't get help unless I am paying into a program or pay for assistance that someone at HP screwed up yesterday. All I wanted was to get my printer back the way it was yesterday before the call. You'd think having all these products they would be supportive. Why should I have to buy ink from them when I can get all my office supplies locally with special offers...BAD BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. They even refused to allow me to speak with someone in the USA. BIG BIG MISTAKE!

Waited all year to finally decide and purchase a computer on Cyber Monday. Yesterday, almost a week after completing the online order my computer was supposed to be delivered, it did not arrive. I contacted the company to find out that my order was canceled due to the item being out of stock. However, I now go online and can order that same computer at 150.00 increase in price. I called HP in hopes of a price match for what I have paid previously. I was directed to a supervisor, Tori, who for all general purposes was of zero help in helping with this issue. From this point on I will not buy HP products and will advise everyone else to do the same. Awful customer service, zero interest in customer satisfaction. Look elsewhere!!!

I purchased a 27 inch curved HP monitor that only worked for 11 months. I have called their customer service number twice as well as utilized their online chat support and all they can tell me is there is nothing they can do. So please know, if you purchase an HP product and it stops working, there is no recourse. Spend your money with a company that stands behind their products.

I purchased a photosmart printer from HP several years ago, have had nothing but problems, purchase brand new HP cartridges from HP and they stop working within weeks. I use all the instructions to try and get them going, no luck. Have tried to reach out to HP multiple times, a huge process to get a case number, set up user information, then try chat, which tells me the printer has no warranty, I only wanted to speak to someone, what a waste for a large company, no personal service, only if you order products can you speak to a person.!

Stay away from the ink program. They charge you every month and are supposed to be keeping track of ink in your printer. What a joke. Im out of black ink and have been for over a week. Allegedly My shipment is due next week. A little late HP. I will never recommend their products or this service again. They have become no different than any other scamming company, getting your cash up front an MAYBE providing the service. I doubt anyone from HP will see this but hopefully some future HP product purchasers will take heed.

Terrible support. I tried twice to order a laptop online. They cancelled both orders and told me to call. I did so, and after wasting 15 minutes of my time, I asked them not to hang up until I confirmed the order was correct on their end. They hang up, and I get an incorrect price which is $300 more than it's supposed to be. Get your act together, HP!

HP has always been an innovative inspiration for me. I like their products and they are always well designed and fairly priced. However I think thier being overly ambitious with their insta ink project. The printers are always buggy and loosing connectivity. My printer has been double printing pages continuosly. This has never happened to me before. Find me on youTube for more LFS

FOR THE LAST TWO DAYS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ABOUT THE UNSATISFACTORY REPLACEMENT PRINTER THEY SENT ME.
I HAVE BEEN TREATED AS THOUGH I, JUST ONE CUSTOMER, WAS OF NO VALUE.
WHEN I TRIED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MY SERVICE AND THE WAY THE TECHNICIANS, OR WHAT EVER THEY ARE CALLED, AND THE SUPERVISERS TREATED ME THEY JUST KEPT BLOWING ME OFF.
FOR TWO DAYS I HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH INSENITIVE AND RUDE HP EMPLOYEES. I BELIEVE HP OUGHT TO OFFER SOME SORT OF COMPENSATION WHEN THEIR EMPLOYEES BEHAVE BADLY OR WHEN THIER PRODUCTS ARE LESS THEN ADEQUATE.
FREE INK, BLACK AND IF NECCESARY, IF IT IS WARRANTED, COLOR INK ALSO OR FREE MONTHS ON THEIR INK PLAN.
THEY SHOULD ALSO CONSIDER GIFT CERTIFICATES.
I REALLY WANTED TO GIVE THEM 1/4 OF A STAR

Disappointed in customer service. I mostly buy there printers and they have worked well for me. Lately when I have warranty issues it seems they will do anything to make the customer pay by avoiding to have to use the warranty.
If they made changes in the warranty process, they would be a good option. Now I am skeptical considering that they are quite poor on customer service.

Avoid HP printers at all costs! There are plenty of youtube videos of customers smashing their HP printers into the cement. After billions of wasted print alignments the rage sets in. HP printers are engineered to fail on purpose. Pollute the environment by wasting lots of Ink, printer parts and paper.

I was always happy with hp products and customer s...

I was always happy with hp products and customer service. I was always recommending a hp computer for years with my family, friends, and anyone else looking for a pc until today.

I sent my hp omen into hp for warranty repair, pc not even a year old.

I dropped my desktop tower at fed ex on November 7 2018 and a week later I call cause I was getting emails that they had not received my pc.

HP informs me they received a shoe box with shoes and asked if I was returning shoes and accidentally placed their postage on the wrong box. No and I only dropped off a large box with my tower at FedEx. A woman calls by the name Linda who tells me my pc may have been stolen at FedEx am which made me worry due to the cost of my less than a year old gaming pc.

I recieved another email that my pc was being shipped back to me so I make a call cause no one has called to update me on the status of my possibly stolen pc so I'm assuming they either found it,repaired it, or they are shipping me a pair of shoes.

Needless to say the worry I was put through was due to assumptions and HP found my tower.

Linda calls back and leaves me a message that my pc was found and was not repaired. My computer was being shipped back unrepaired which left me confused cause no one called me.

I speak to linda and she tells me that it was not repaired and she voided my warranty due to what she says is a violation of my warranty cause they found bugs. I'm thinking to myself "omg, where did bugs come from" I was thinking "infestation". Linsa sent me pictures via email of two dead bugs. really two dead bugs, voided waranty,no assistance and they hadn't seen worse before?

is this really a reason for bad customer service or is this a person not picking?

I'm so unhappy and this person caused nothing but serious stress and anxiety. I will most likely never recommend an hp product due to the worst customer service ever received in my life.
