Inattentive waitstaff, food prepared wrong, bill incorrect. What can I say, 3 strikes and your out. I have dined here 4 times in the past 18 months and observed a slow decline in food quality and staff attitude. Don't get me wrong, some of the staff is wonderful, however the ones that aren't cast a large shadow. 2 stars, as I reserve 1 star for the worst, as you cannot post zero stars. There are many better places.

Both food and drinks were fabulous! Unique menu selection... if you are looking for the classic brunch spot I would not recommend, but if you're looking for a new brunch experience, try this place out!

A great place and a great selection of international food. Really delicious Highly recommend to everyone Especially for those looking for a special breakfast! The idea is that the site is located in a former fire station Which adds to the uniqueness of the place

Fantastic brunch! Really unique menu (plantains + rice & beans + eggs, PB&J French toast) and great drinks (Spotted Cow beer-mimosa, lattes with fun syrups, etc) and a cool historical space. Highly recommended.

The food and drinks were fantastic but our server Emily took the cake! Excellent customer service on every level - she even ran outside to catch me with my box of leftovers after I forgot it on the table.

The wait is rough, unless you have a reservation. Even just for a party of 3 we had to almost an hour when it was supposed to be 30-35 min. The drinks and food however are pretty good. But because of the wait it killed the experience for me just heads up make a reservation even for a small party.

Have been here twice and really loved it both times. Delicious, local, and unique brunch selections and really knowledgeable servers that help with menu selections. Looking forward to going back next time I'm in MKE

Great Bloody Mary! Service was wonderful. That being said, not really a great place to bring your 2 year old. High chairs don't have seat belts, no kids menu, no "kids cups"...just glass (plastic can be washed too). Was able to order from the "sides" menu to make it work... sadly, we wanted to like this place more than we did.

This is my new favorite spot for brunch in Milwaukee. The menu has a ton of variety and everything we had was delicious. The goat cheese curds were amazing. It s tapas style, with relatively large tapas plates. Expect to order about 1.5 dishes per person. After tip, expect to spend about $25-35 each. They have outdoor dining on the patio. Staff seemed to take COVID-19 precautions seriously. Overall, an awesome experience!

The place itself is cool but the food is just average and they won't let you customize anything on the menu. I wanted the meat omelette but due to dietary reasons didn't want the potato that comes in it. They said everything is premade so I couldn't get it without the potato. I asked for just a basic custom omlette and they said they couldn't do that either. Frustrated I ordered something random and only ate half of it. I left brunch frustrated, hungary, and ripped off.

Very cool atmosphere, we came at 1230 on Friday not to busy, our waiter was very smiley and very helpful. All the food was good, I had a pastrami sandwich on a pretzel bun, little dry needs more of the yummy sauce they put on but it was good flavor, my sister had the French Toast wow melt in your mouth. I would definitely recommend to go here at least once to check it out

The host staff was horrible and never took my name when I told them how many guest we had. They told me how long the wait would be and then never put me in line. They sat other people first who came in after us and only when I complained did we get put on the wait list. I was incredibly disappointed with the service here and spent my money elsewhere.

Always a great experience, from the drinks, the food (SMOKED PORK EGGS BENEDICT) and to the beautiful themed restaurant. Great selection on the menus for lunch or brunch. Babs will always put a smile and your face. Emily's energy is contagious. All the staff does a wonderful job making sure that you have a pleasant and enjoyable time.

Fun location. I attended a brunch/presentation in the upstairs area. We were able to have a speaker - sound was good. Food and service was good. The upstairs area easily accommodated at least 25 individuals and a presenter.

Amazing food and amazing staff. I am also planning my wedding here and so far it looks like it will be amazing. If you plan to have a wedding look here. Kristen has been very helpful in figuring out the best plans to work with what types of food, and drink menu, and that I can get valet and my cake made there. I don't think any guest could complain about the fresh food they will be getting, and the venue is unique and changes up the normal wedding routine. Sorry photo is upside down.

Great ambiance with unique dishes that are outside the normal fare of Milwaukee. Locally sourced with the sourcing farms listed on the menu. The server said that the pulled pork Benedict was life changing... She was right! looking forward to go back and try more!

I'm sure the food would have been great--can't really go wrong with brunch. That aside the hostess was terrible. We were told it would be an hour wait. We patiently waited an hour and a half...we were given no updates and inquired about how much longer of a wait it would be. The hostess' response was maybe 30 more minutes. She did not apologize and displayed very poor customer service. To add to the terrible service a server decided to let us know that we should have made a reservation, because ya know that'll get us to come back. All in all, very disorganized, poor customer service, and if you do decide to go be sure to call the day before for a reservation.

my friend and i were so excited to try this restaurant after many recommendations. i have never written a review before..i had the carmel apple french toast. which was not french toast. it was a dried out piece bread pudding or baked french toast.never saw an apple in it. luke warm at best. it was about a 3 inch by 4 inch square. my friend had the blueberry pancakes which were not done. don't expect any extras like a pat of butter.an extra blueberry.piece of fruit.nothing.she ate one and sent the rest back. each dish was 9.50 which is ok if you are getting a good portion.we both had 1 fancy coffee and 2 strips of bacon. bacon was great.the bill with tip was 50.00 dollars for 2 people. outrageous because it was about 4 dollars worth of food. service was ok. not worth the trip from racine

Breakfast without a reservation can be a bit of a wait. The upstairs seating is first-come, so that's always an option. The food was all very good, if not a bit salty. Wait staff very helpful.

I REALLY enjoyed my breakfast at Engine Company No. 3. We had made reservations for brunch in advanced (I recommend doing this on weekends) and brought an out of town guest. She was equally as impressed with her meal as well. I had the french toast and it was definitely one of the best french toasts I've had in the city and would highly recommend that as an option to others. The coffee was also very good and was a strong coffee (nothing worse than a weak coffee). Service was on point, attentive, and professional. Our waitress had good command of the menu and made a number of great recommendations. I can't wait to come back to this unique location in the future.

Great variety of food, very fun and diverse menu. I try a new item each time. Only issue I have is that the tables in the back of the restaurant get a little cold during the winter time, so would rank 4.5 Stars.

The food is outstanding!! You have to get there early to get in, but it is worth the wait! Fresh food, good service and reasonable prices... What else can you ask for? Give it a try... The locals know about Engine Company.

Food is excellent and has a great gluten free menu. This was my 2nd time there and have been unimpressed with the service both times. Longer than usual wait to have drink and food orders taken, food comes timely, however waiting to pay the bill is always off-putting especially when once it is paid the waitress then rushes you off the table for others to be seated. While I get that time is money in the service industry, when there is no one waiting to be seated and there are other open tables, I find it rude to tell a table that they have to leave.

We visited one morning last week and honestly I was less than impressed. I ordered the breakfast Sammy and I m quite positive that the executive chef got the inspiration for this dish at McDonald s. I would suggest ordering it if your a fan of the sausage and egg McGriddle but want to spend a little more and feel better about what your eating since it s locally sourced and organic.

Couldn t try for really odd reasons. Walked in today for brunch and half their tables were empty yet the hostess said that there was an hour wait. Just really odd. Then we asked if we could sit at the half empty bar. Hostess then tells that the bar seats are also on the wait list. We then wait upstairs with all the other people on this so called wait list and notice that half the tables up there are empty as well. After awkwardly waiting 15 mins with all the other people standing around on the top floor, none of which got sat, we gave up and left. If they are that inefficient at seating empty tables, no way could it be a good dining experience.

By far the best tasting brunch in Milw, including my favorite Bloody Mary around. Even better that Engine Company No 3 is committed to locally sourced food, and the quality is obvious. Highly recommend!!

Was in town for a conference and stopped in for Bloody Marys and breakfast. The bloodys are GREAT and they are STRAW FREE! Breakfast is not just a simple eggs and toast they offer many different things for breakfast that are well worth trying. I personally had Brioche French toast, and it was incredible. I can t wait to stop back here again when I am in town. I love the fire/firehouse/firefighter theme!

Very solid food. Menu is pretty static, but occasionally has some surprises. Tried the special, biscuits and gravy. Biscuit was dry and gravy was more of a glaze. Tasty though, and coffee is good and plentiful.
