Rooms are huge! Fridge included plus separate makeup area outside the bathroom. Lighted mirror inside the bathroom and night light which us so handy. Bell staff is really friendly and helpful. Resort feeling with included yoga classes. Love it!
Room service was awful, it took two hours. It took 20 minutes to even order
This resort is very nice i didnt stay here, was visiting my sister and we took the kids swimming it was very nice and the price to order food and drinks was really expensive $40 for chips n salsa with guac and 2 virgin daiquiri. So i would recommend bring your own snacks.
Got kicked out of the common area in the main lobby (not the restaurant) for eating after they didnt even have our room ready. Had to go eat outside on the curb in the driveway. Way to treat guests, wont be back.
I was there for a tennis match and everyone who worked there was respectful and kind
Had a great time! Really good prices for what is available to you, comfortable clean rooms, fun pool and slide for the kids, hot tub, great food options, more than enough to do. Golf if you want, go to the spa and pamper yourself, eat some good food and have some drinks at the bar or in your room. A very nice stay for locals and from abroad! So many options nearby but this is an easy choice.
Rooms are nicely designed and modern. Very good food in conference center. Technology in meeting rooms could use an update. Lighting around the resort at night could be increased greatly.
Loved this place. Great view. If you want an even better view go for building 4.
Arrived at 1:30. Room not available yet. Was told to wait around lobby or enjoy the pool. My husband and I are here for Anniversary. Looking down at the pool it was swarming with kids. Decided to hang out in lobby. The lobby area was 86 degrees. For over 2 hours we sat in the lobby sweating.
Yay, room is ready. So excited because we had requested one of their amazing views they speak of so highly on their website. Also upgraded to the junior suite thinking bubble baths, etc.
Walking to our room there are Cheetos thrown all over hallway floor. Get in our room, no bathtub only shower. The view let me tell you. I m looking at cars and trees with a mountain in the backdrop.
20 minutes later thinking okay no worries we can deal with all this. Our AC isn t working in the room. They came and looked at it said to give it 20 more minutes. Probably have to move us. Really???? Not as expected at all. Do not come here if you want a romantic getaway.
Update: didn t have a room for us to move into because of broken AC. Ended up having to check out and go somewhere else at 6 pm on a Saturday night. Received a text the next day from El Conquistador asking how my stay was going and if I needed anything let them know. REALLY!?! They didn t even notice that we were gone despite everything we went through. Not good!!!!
Great resort for a conference. Superb customer service, food, organization and execution. Can't rate it as a normal visitor, but if I had to, I'd give it a 5/5.
We are just home from a wreek at elconquistador, everything was just as beautiful as the reviews describe. The staff was outstanding, from the moment we checked in until we checked out. The only issue I had was that the menus at the hotel were all or close to the same . we did have a wonderful meal on Wednesday at the main restaurant where prime rib was on the menu. I guess im just not a fan of tacos, casadeas , and cilantro. All in all it was a wonderful family reunion, and we would definetly stay again. The shopping was really amazing also.
Beautiful facility and grounds, comfy beds and linens. However, I was disappointed with my overall stay at the El Conquistador. I booked my room via Hilton central reservations and was told I was getting a room with 2 queen beds and a separate living area. Upon arrival I was given a very standard room with two queen beds without separate living area. When I called the front desk to work it out I was put on hold for 30 minutes. I finally called Hilton central reservations for help. Instead of honoring what I had been told, they attempted to up-sell me the room I was promised. No one could help. I was told I would be compensated, but never was.
In the bathroom there was some sort of substance, I was told glue after asking it to be cleaned, was all over the back of the vanity. Housekeeping still didn't take care of it, the nasty looking substance stayed. Glue or other substance, I expect more out of a resort that is trying to be "higher end".
My screen door was broken, again expect more based on what I was paying per day to be a guest there.
I didn't get daily room service and one day that we did get it housekeeping didn't even vacuum. The carpet needed attention!
I made two calls and a visit to the front desk regarding needing a bed change, but the message was never relayed to housekeeping. Luckily I was there to thank the housekeeper for changing the bed, but she looked at me puzzled and said she didn't change the bed, had never received the message. She was very kind and accommodated my request right then and there.
Twice I was overcharged on drinks and food ordered pool side and in the lounge. A 16oz cup of coffee costs $4.25, which is crazy. You can go down to the Starbucks at Frye's and get the same thing for half the cost.
Lastly, I was overcharged $86 when I checked in. I had to address the front desk and show them my central reservations receipt and show them the price difference. They did take care of it, but it took time out of my vacation. I'm questioning the integrity and honesty of the resort. Had I not been looking over all my receipts carefully, they would have taken close to an extra $100 out of my pocket.
I highly doubt I will stay there again and would warn anyone and share my experience with anyone considering staying there
Great 9 hole experience. Not too crowded so you can enjoy yourself without a crowd. Greens are tough to read.
Beautiful hotel located by bluffs...
Restaurants at the hotel were excellent!
Friendly staff, beautiful views, comfortable rooms.
Beautiful beautiful hotel with amazing scenery and very clean rooms. Had some minor issues with dinner, mostly how long it took every night (seriously 2-2.5 hours), but otherwise a very nice place to stay.
The room was wonderful and had a stunning view of the mountains. Room service was fabulous and the food was beyond amazing!
Presentation of the space was great and staff was very helpful.
A really nice place to stay while visiting friends in Tucson. Reasonable prices great services in a very high class place.
The El Con is a great place to stay because it has everything you need on-site. The rooms are getting a little dated though.
I will never ever stay at this Hilton Resort again! Twice today I had to go to the front desk to get an escort to my room. My room numbers is 4216. Guess what my Bldg / Floor and Room number is? Maybe Bldg 4 / 2nd Floor / Room 16? Nope! 2nd Floor / Bldg 4 / Room 16, go figure? Also the building numbers cannot be seen from the parking lot at night so you have to get out of your car, go through the security gate to find the building number. Wrong buliding get in your car an drive to another lot.
One of the most poorly run hotels I've ever been to. The staff is horrible!! Very rude and just all around terrible customer service.
There are parts that are great! The service team works so hard and they are very friendly. They have a huge key issue. Only 2 times during our stay did our key work without having to the front desk. No, I don t have it near my phone in fact I have a special pocket in my purse away from everything and if the folks at the front counter ask me that again I might freak out. Also in addition we have the digital key on our Hilton App that also didn t work so they can t blame that on being to close to a phone. For the rest of our stay I m just going to get new keys before I make the hike to room.
Beautiful property and top-notch customer service. Excellent conference facilities. 5 restaurants.
Clean rooms and friendly staff. There are plenty of tennis courts and the pools are heated. The grounds are clean, well manicured and attractive.
The hotel is beautiful to look at. I was here as a guest and for a work event. The inside lobby is amazing, and the rooms were very clean. Between the view and the pool you can't go wrong, and I really enjoyed the s'mores bar they put together the first night. The bed was comfy too. The only issue that we really had was with the breakfast. It was separate from their main breakfast in the Sundance room which looked to be more substantial. Ours was prepared separately and was meager, not very good tasting, and not very allergy-friendly. I recommend eating at the breakfast in Sundance or going elsewhere.
It's a very nice hotel. Friendly staff, nice pool and grounds and solid but not incredible rooms.
Nice place with breathtaking grounds. Attended a conference there and the staff was exceptional.
The festive scale models of gingerbread houses dwarfed by the life-sized house made of actual gingerbread was a welcome sight before the new year rang in, and the pianist playing in the center of the foyer must deserve a raise for such musical delight. The room itself had many amenities that separate it from other hotels I'd been to, from a fully lit balcony to a full recliner to relax in, the night was a gilded marvel not easily matched by your average Motel 6. Compliments all around for dazzling looks, and a gracious host who humored a few questions I had about the seasonal decor.
Attended a family wedding reception here and had a great time. Good food, service, drinks and entertainment.
It was a very fun sunset trail ride. The young man leading was hilarious. Beautiful scenery, definitely glad to have chosen the sunset ride
Positive: I reserved the room for the wrong date and they were able to accommodate me and my family.
Positive: They were able to fix the toilet when we left the room.
Negative: I was asked if I wanted to upgrade and they charged me $50 per night extra instead of the $9 extra per night I reserved for standby upgrade.
Negative: 1 big roach in the casita living room. We found about 6 little roaches throughout the weekend stay... mostly around the bathroom.
Negative: Toilet stopped working
Negative: For some reason the housekeeping staff left their cart within 5 feet of our door for the entire Saturday... kind of weird. Inconvenient.
Negative: Room service was mediocre... not sure why they automatically add gratuity to the the bill... shouldn't that still be an option for the customer?
Negative: All-inclusive paid meals does not include room service... inconvenient.
Very good and nice hotel. The persons are very nice too
Lobby very nice, tennis courts a little dated but still good.
outstanding view and nice courtyard area. despite good wifi signal, the infrastructure did not work well. shower didn't have hot water and leaked all over the floor. bed was comfy. rooms had nice private decks. good access to nearby hiking trails.
Beautiful resort...Fantastic staff & true desert beauty.
Spent a night at El conquistador in Oro valley Tucson. Always a nice staycation get away
This resort is so beautiful. Everyone is so nice and welcomeing. I recommend to anyone looking for a unique southwestern experience.
Attended conference there. Great facility for a conference.
Went there for a USTA tennis match. The courts and grounds are really nice....this coming from a native Tucsonan.
Always awesome! Comfort, Outstanding Service, incredible views! Golf, tennis, hiking, swimming, restaurants and bars.
I absolutely loved the resort, the food was great, rooms were clean and taken care of, and the pool was outstanding. The beautiful location also makes for great views. Easily earned 4 stars. 10/10 IGN.
The hotel was very clean and the food at the restaurant was delicious. This is one of the nicer places to stay in Tucson!
Service is quite good and facilities are excellent. Food in the hotel restaurant was mediocre.
The hotel was nice very clean and private. Great view of the mountians. More of a family resort then a romantic feel to it.The one bad thing was the room service. Not great food at all for 26 dollars a plate eat else where or order for outside the hotel. I think even a delivered pizza would have been better. But besides the room service the staff were nice and the hotel beautiful.
I came to the El Conquistador for the bridal fair. The event was good but there was no parking and the parking system was a disaster . All so the rooms that the bridal fair we're in were overwhelmeingly crowded and hot .
Nice resort and grounds. A bit away from the city but nice for vacation.
Great Hotel, I only wish I had more time to enjoy everything you had to offer. Only one minor thing, the bathroom was missing some of the toiletries that are usually provided by hotels. Not a big deal, as I had brought my own. Other than that, this hotel had everything one could hope for.
Looks like a very nice Resort dropped some people there for Uber
A great spot in North Tucson! We stay here each year for the Tucson Marathon and the convenience and services are always the best in the area...hands down. Casitas have a kitchenette and nice fireplace to relax.
Room is great, grounds are beautiful, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The only criticism I have is the food. It is very overpriced and you should plan for extra fees when ordering room service.
The hotel is stunning. There was a hiking trail right outside our patio door. The service in the lounge was terrible. Servers were slow to come around and forgot to put in our food order.
Being Diamond members, we use Hilton quite a bit. THREE TIMES , we were told of the room we requested (it was our anniversary), up to the time we checked in..(room with fireplace and view)...Too long of story but this property did NOTHING to correct mistakes made !!(they offered us a dinner, we already had plans).ZERO customer service, follow up and treating their customers...Hiltons "tag line" is "We will make it right".. THIS hotel doesnt follow that motto...
Hometown resort. We visit often for food and drinks. Feels like we're on vacation only four miles from our house.
Attending a conference and booked a room in the block for attendees. Was upgraded for free to a casita since I was a lone individual and the room I reserved had two beds. While this is great, the casita was a heck of a walk downhill from the hotel proper. Beautiful place though and friendly staff.
The rooms are nice. Had a room looking at the mountains which was nice. Bar service is bad. Took nearly 25 minutes for a waiter to even acknowledge we existed.
Good hotel, great pool and grounds. Bar service a bit slow but overall a great experience
Resort was very clean. Staff was friendly. Pool area was fantastic!
Service was great! They had a technical issue with the computers but the staff kept going and remaided very professional and friendly. Stayed in the Presidential Suite. 5100 :)
I was there for a middle school tennis match. The courts are really well taken care of.
Er muh gosh. Can this hotel be any more beautiful. I think not. Serene. Perfect. Comfortable. Well kept. No qualms. Lovely, makes you wonder why we live elsewhere. Stay here if you can. Family and pet frieny, with staff that cares.
Went to resort for one evening, our Anniversary (get away from kids & dog). So when did the 3rd floor become the first floor?? Yes, in building #2, the bottom floor is the 3rd. floor, go figure.
The resort is out dated, need face lift. Cushions outside bar area are virtually fabric to fabric, not "cushion" The rooms remind me of "holiday Inn"...outdated. Coffee maker, old style, needs Keurig.
Our outdoor furniture on our "balcony" splinters and table broken. The bath tube would not drain and handle to turn and adjust temp/amount of water loose. Vent for bathroom, full of lent.
Bed was clean comfortable.
Would not come back. Have been to all the other resorts in Tucson, This one is hands down is the worse.
Had dinner @ only restaurant open after 6pm on the resort; Epazote. Waitress totally lacked personality. Think she blew us off once she got our order and we did not wine or alcohol. Figure were no big spenders. Food was different, but good.
Resort is nice, or first room was very musty it was the king cocita, as soon as we arrived we switched to a king Junior sweet, smaller room but had a much better view and didn't smell musty. Staff was very nice and housekeeping was very good.
I was so disappointed because the front desk has no idea about their Resort I told them clearly it's special anniversary day for me and my wife and front desk agent M&s.justine said your room has a stunning view and when I get there the room was in the corner and for her maybe the parking is stunning view I called again and talk to other front office agent name Johnny and he couldn't help as a diamond member I expect something more decent by the way my original booking was a pool view and even that I didn't have it for sure was the most worst experience!!
The hotel room itself is nice, however my husband and I were put in a room that was directly beneath a room they were renovating so to hear construction all day and night was very annoying. The parking for buildings 1, 2, and 3 was taped off with yellow tape and cones, every night (of the 6days we were there) so parking was minimized to only those who snagged a space early and if you came to park after 9pm you were parking very far away, because the close spots were taped off and it looked to be for absolutely no reason. There was no construction or painting going on out there. The staff was accommodating nice at check-in and out. My husband and I checked out early.
I stayed here for a tennis event. It was wonderful, all I can say is that the weather, the scenery everything you find here is fabulous. I am looking forward to next year when the tennis event is held here again. They have a wonderful facility. I had a suite room it was large, plenty of room, a bit of a walk to the tennis courts but, hey, great way to warm up by walking to the courts!
Went there for a wedding reception. Place was very pretty, staff was very helpful, food was decent enough, bar was nice.
Great resort and a hotspot to pick up rental cars from hertz
Went to hang out with friends who were staying there. Nice atmosphere.
