Found this little nice place in Playa del Carmen to chill for a few days. The staff is so nice! The accommodation is perfect for what I need! Love the selection for breakfast too! "Love is all you need!" Indeed!

A charger was left in the room which I went to pick up an hour later. And they did not have it at reception, the next day neither and they sent me a charger 4 weeks later, after calling a pirate newspaper and it was not working. Terrible hotel service
This hotel was nice and clean. rooms were nice and modern. staff was also pleasant The rooms however we very poorly lite to thw point that we had to use our phone flashlight to look through clothing. They advertise a contiental breakfast which did not exist. When given the initial walk through and instruction of the room thwy showed us the drinks provided in the fridge however there was no mention of the charge of the beverages until ypu check out. If you enjoy a nice hot or even warm shower... forget it because there was only cold water.....if there was water at all! The day we had to check out there was no water. could not even flush the toilet. when asking the staff about the water issue there was no explanation but just told to wait until next staff came in. Turned out they must turn the wated off at night as we heard the water turn back on around 8am. Thankfully we did not have an early flight. As for noise, this hotel is situated on the best part of 5th ave. No noise over night. However the doors to the room you could see right through the door jam. As a result if there was any social gathering around the pool area in the evening it sounded as if they were right in our room. Also the doors all slam shut!! Although the location and rooms were nice i would not return to this hotel.
I love this place, though it's not perfect hence 4 stars. Great location near the north end of the core tourist cacophony. Very good breakfast, though it doesn't start until 730am. Rooms are fine with big beds. I can't believe I'm complaining about towels, but the towels we had should have been retired to the car wash long ago. Pool is awesome. We've stayed here twice now and would do so again in the future.
Not as advertised in any way. The actual staff are lovely but the place itself is falling into disrepair. Two of the three small pools and the breakfast place were shut down indefinitely with no explanation. Sewage backed up into our bedroom after it rained, air conditioner (not turned on very low) saturated the bedroom floor every morning. Shower rarely had hot water. In need of either dramatic repairs or an updated listing with two small common areas and one small cold pool. Not worth the price, pay a little more (or maybe even less!) and go somewhere the management is honest.
It is always a very good option for beach accommodation. It is very clean, the facilities are fine. Breakfast is literally homemade, there is little variety but it meets. It is a hotel for adults, that is, no children; but it is very calm. The cost benefit of this place seems super good to me. And the perfect location near mamitas or another beach club, on the 5th and near the best Chez Celine beach cafe. Also the staff is always very friendly, the last time I did late check out with a reduced rate. Thanks to Casa Ticul.
Very nice good location cheap ... Nice staff, perfect. On the other hand, do not expect to spend your holidays at the swimming pool ... It is not fantastic but personally I do not go to Mexico to go to the swimming pool ...
We love the hotel. Room is nice, breakfast is great, people are very attentive. Wifi signal in the room is not the greatest but the over all is good. Hotel doesn't have parking, but you can park on 40th and 38th st.
Very good hotel I would return without hesitation clean and more than friendly the staff help you in everything, the bad thing but it is not something that matters is that it does not have parking but in the back there is a street that you can easily leave if you rent a car. Very good experience
Excellent attention, the place has all the basic amenities and the location is excellent. Excellent option for those who want to know and not just stay all day in the hotel
Beautiful place on 5th Avenue, in front of several restaurants and cafes. The price is quite affordable, we rented a suite, which was a fully equipped apartment, very nice and clean, (up to 6 people), they have 3 pools around the hotel, a small solarium and a restaurant (it was not open yet by contingency). The owners are friendly and were attentive to our needs. The only thing a little low, was the service of the receptionists who knew almost nothing if you asked them and that there is no parking, so you have to find and hire one, (around $ 100 MXN per day)
Location is perfect. On the quiet part of 5th and close to everything and it's easy to park as well. The bad part was the room. It was very small so not that comfortable and it was dark and a bit dampish. Also the shower had very low pressure. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were great!
I would have liked to have breakfast from Casa Ticul's terrace. Instead it is served at a bar a few meters away where a menu with a poor choice of food has been agreed. Rich but very monotonous menu.
The stay in the hotel is good, in a strategic place on the 5th. Avenida, the room that was reserved was a little small, so an extra cost was paid to change it, the service of both the management, reception and services are good, I consider that it is being remodeled because there are things that are offered and are not available , such as the Jacuzzi. Thanks to the Casa Ticul hotel for hosting us and feeling at home, we hope to return the following year and continue with this great family.
Super comfortable and clean the room, every day they did the cleaning and they put new towels with the bathroom amenities, the room was very complete (minibar, safe, dryer, tv, wifi) very friendly at reception (always attentive), the night view really very nice and breakfast included very complete and delicious. It is on Fifth Avenue, everything at hand and enough so that the noise of the Avenue does not enter.
Excellent location. The rooms are quite comfortable and pleasant. There is a small inconsistency: it is advertised as "adults only" but it is not like that ... The problem is not that they accept infants but that they put it in their policies and regulations and do not comply with it.
Casa Ticul's whole business model is based on overpromising and underdelivering. We stayed here over Christmas break. Upon checking in, the desk clerk told us we had not paid for the breakfast option, despite that being clearly marked on our receipts. The reality is that the breakfast area here is shuttered, unusable. He was pulling a fast one. It looks like no one has gone near it in quite some time. The air conditioner leaked, forming puddles of water on our floor in the dead of night for us to slip and fall in in the mornings. Of the three pools advertised, only one works, it is tiny, on the ground floor, and freezing. At one point, the shower stall backed up, filling our room with the scent of raw sewage. Staff did attend to this, but as a result I couldn't keep any food down for the rest of the day, and felt uncomfortable cleaning myself for the remainder of the trip. The majority of rooms here are unusable and filled with hotel garbage, creating a stink that permeates the property. The wifi is unusably slow. As a setting for a murder mystery or horror film, Casa Ticul is perfect. For a relaxing holiday, it isn't.
Old building, noisy, smelly, ... and expensive for what you get. Koox has much better options. Newer hotels, condos, ... book those. This one is outdated. This is the worst one. The best one is koox condos 30 (even cheaper) or klr the city (same price). Those are 100x better.
We were well looked after from day one. The place is very clean. The super complete breakfast with variants. We made the booking x Booking and we had no problems. They charged us the stipulated price. They gave us discount passes to go to beach paradores. Super super. Attention. Details in creams and soaps in the room. Super comfortable bed.
Be careful when making your reservation !! They do not accept modifications to your reservation and apply the charge to the card inflexible. On the other hand, they are building a building right next to them, so there is a lot of dust and noise, which does NOT warn you anywhere. Construction workers start work at 7am .... If you go to rest you don't want to be there! It used to be a good place now the rooms are very run down. If you still risk going, do not accept room 21, it is next to the quartermaster's room and the passage of all the staff and guests of the subsequent rooms, so you hear everything and they of course listen to everything that happens in your room ...
