You guys have a really unprofessional and rude staff.

1 star is too much credit to this PD. Have your officers face their charges just as you would expect a normal civilian to do. Perfect example of the Police seeming themselves as above the law...so much irony it hurts.

I THINK WAS AROUND 1:30, OR 2:00 PM TO ASK IF SHE CAN SEND SOMEBODY FROM THE DOG DEPARTMENT BECAUSE I FOUND 2 DOGS
AND I TIGHT THEM IN FRONT OF MY OFFICE, NOW IS ALMOST 3 PM, AND THE POLICE OFFICER THAT WAS HERE SCAN BOTH DOGS AND ONE OF THEM HAS A CHIP, SO HE CALLED THE OWNER, THANKS GOD BOTH DOGS BELONGS TO THE SAME PERSON. COLORIN COLORADO THIS STARTED NORMAL AND ENDED PERFECT THAN KS TO THE OFFICER RODRIGUEZ. GOD B ALL

Called to report someone sleeping in their vehicle and parked in the red. The occupant had beer bottles, trash and human excrement on the sidewalk. The police car just drove by never stopped.
I live across the street from a elementary school.
This is not acceptable.

Santa Ana police officers deal with tons of criminals on a daily basis, understandable, but why do the young female officers at the service desk have the little attitudes veteran cops would understandably have after years of srvice. It makes sense why they have the pretty 25 yo officer with major attitude working the paper work. Why give me attitude when I'm here to pay you for services. I mean, your not even o.c sheriff jrs yet. Cash me ousside how bout dat

My experience with the Santa Ana Police has been less than favorable. When they are not busy kicking the nubs of amputees, they are most likely found destroying surveillance equipment in your local medicinal dispensary. 1/10, would not recommend.

They can be a bit disorganized at times and sometimes response can take a while but other than that they're ok. From my experience they're neither the most courteous nor are they the rudest, they're not the most professional nor are they the most unprofessional. Neither the most honest nor are they blatantly dishonest. Very middle of the road cops. I've seen much better and I've certainly seen much worse

They act like criminals, destroy evidence, steal money, do drugs, and harass law abiding citizens. They give a bad name to good police officers. This department should be dismantled and built from scratch.

I believe the officers at the Santa Ana PD, get less credit than they deserve. Had a great Experience with Officer Gonzalez, he was at my place within 30 minutes of a non-emergency call. Handled the situation with utmost professionalism, even the lady who received the call was very professional and courteous. The job is tough...give them the credit they deserve. Thanks Officer Gonzalez.

Low iQ department. College degrees should be required.

Very professional officers / staff, no system is perfect. for those disrepcting officers for their own agenda and personal issues with run ins with the law is their own issue and not the SAPD . i called in regards issues with certain vandalism and SAPD officers handled vandalism with very fast attention and individuals were arrested. I have nothing but great feedback and praise for their great work.

Basically no traffic cops whatsoever in the entire state. The cops they do have cant di their jobs properly and they wont lower the requirements so they can get more officers. Honestly there isnt even a reason to have them if they're ganna keep up such bad work.

They really need to be under investigation. They serve no justice. They are rude and treat people who ask for help like criminals. Hypocrites. They need to be reminded that they are PEACE OFFICERS and CORRUPTION OFFICERS. They work for their community and the community does not work for them. An officer threatened to take my daughter away after locking her angry father out who is not on the lease and he promised that he would take her and he would do everything to keep her away. Disrespecting me in MY own home and raising his voice while my daughter is trying to fall asleep. I was not fully dressed and taking care of my daughter. That it would be my word against his. I shouldn't have to feel scared in my own neighborhood. They should carry cameras like the LAPD to keep their officers accountable. They are let their power get to their head.

This department is a tragic display of power gone wrong. There are no civic checks and balances. After watching the pot dispensary raid, I am horrified. Making fun of a disabled women, scaring the life out of people only to steal their product. It's offensive. It's unjust. It needs to stop.

This is a moral corruption.

I called the department for some assistance this morning and the lady on the phone was very rude and hung up on me the first time. The second time I called the lady put me on hold and the second lady was very impatient and rude

My sister called 911 this morning around 6:00am, It's 9:12am and they still have not showed up.

They were right on it when my husband was driving and another car hit him and ran. They arrested the other driver who was drunk. Thanks!

And why is one star required? That sugar coats the level of evil that consumes the souls of these heartless bafoons. The pure lack of empathy toward a family dealing with domestic violence is vile at best.
This 1 star is unfair. A -1 is in order. I'm speechless. They side with the abuser. The ONLY police dept that I've ever known to side with the abuser with smirks on their faces. Damn the fact that children are involved.

These officers support the abuse of handicapped individuals and the robbery of businesses at gunpoint. Their officers steal from businesses and cause purposeful property damage as well as threaten violence against handicapped individuals.

Horrible, waited for hours nobody came. Would've put 0 star if there was one.

I usually do not write reviews but today I witness a violent crime. Two people were victims of a African american thug female.(5'10-6ft, weight 163-175, brown eyes). One of the victims was from Laguna Hills and the other one was a elderly man both victims of a violent crime. I called many times to keep the SAPD to them updated but they failed miserably 1 To show up to the crime and 2 Justice was not served. This is really upsetting to see our tax dollar at work. SAPD had one job to do and failed miserably. I think its time for the community hire a private security Organization because the safe of our children critical !!!!!! I wouldn't want to see my son punched in the face like they did. Santa Ana should be prioritized because its the heart of Orange County . And please do not contract me because its too late fix it............

Never had a problem with these guys, I put 4 stars because I believe there are bad apples in every police force, but for now they are fine with me.

My kids just called 911 to report a yelling homeless man following them home from the store. The man walked up the side of the house towards the backyard. SAPD has yet to show up! He finally left. As much as I pity the homeless, some are dangerous! Very disappointed in SAPD.

My dad got this thing robbed from his truck we called at 6:00 and it's now 6:39 and yet their still not here

If you get into a car accident dont bother calling the SAPD.I got into a car accident and i called the cops write a report for the case instead they tell me "Sir if no one is seriously hurt you dont have to call the cops" in that moment i lost faith in the police force.

Santa Ana PD does not care. They are there to get paid. Anytime I needed them they didnt show up or came in way too late and had no sense of duty and didnt take down any information I had. Spitting the chewing tobacco at my front door was just the icing on the cake.

Detective retired 3 months into a homicide case and closed it. Was a life changing experience for me and the only decent officer was the one who was the first responder. Corrupt.

It is clear that this police department has completely lost sight of their "Protect and Serve" mission, and has reverted to armed hooliganism. There is no possible justification for their behavior and actions when they raided and looted the Cannabis dispensary on May 27th. Every one of these police officers need to lose their jobs and be charged with breaking and entering and armed robbery. And the judge who signed the search warrant needs to be disbarred.

Literally today, I called for a possible firearm being found within the area where I used to live. The operator and the police were really helpful and were quick to respond. A previous firearm was located in the same area, firearm was used and loaded. We did not want to touch it, so we called it in. Thank you to the 2 officers who came. Unfortunately I did not get their names but will remember their appearances.

Most people are speaking of the dispensary raid in May, 2015. This was inexcusable behavior by these officers and all of you have a right to be upset. I do believe the officers in question lost their jobs as they really should have. But my family has experienced excellent dealings with SAPD. Their officers are helpful and efficient. They come to our community meetings to help us with problems we're encountering. And the young man who complained about them not coming to a non-injury accident is mistaken, you don't need an officer if no one is injured. Also, remember that when you call you might be one of many callers and they MUST prioritize in order to service citizens with more immediate or extreme needs.

By far the rudest most insensitive police department ever! Especially the records department! If I m asking a question it s because I don t know the answer! Somebody is upset that she s stuck in the records department. You incompetent moron!

Wanted to leave a good review. Got my car stolen along with my wallet and identiy and filed the report with sapd. They had a quick recovery finding my car within 2 hours. But I have found more info on this guy like address and phone number because he is ordering more cards in my name. So I went to the police station to add to my police report... waited there nearly 2 hours and no officer ever showed up. Weird to have a police Staton with no police. I am calling in monday to investigations to solve my own case! Also going to Anaheim pd now to file identity theft report. Hopefully someone can help me there. Please Lord forgive him

I called the cops because my neighbor was beating her two month year old baby because she wouldnt stop crying. She hit the baby till it couldnt breathe. The cops arrived 45 mins later, I called them at 10 AM. The police told me that the allegations I was making were too serious and that I needed video recordings. I was so disgusted by my neighbor that I was sobbing and the police still didnt believe me ! They kept asking me if I have "beef" with my neighbors because they assumed that I was lying.

Although i wasnt put in a hotel presidential suite but I was able to trip and compare myself to when james bond got captured for the moment. They are artists in gestures which they would probably deny but to me there is no denying it.

I was stopped by an Officer Navarro 21377 who gave me a fix-it ticket and he lied that I had 48 hours to have my window fixed, repeating that I had only two days but the ticket read different. What kind of police officer lies to the people that they are supposed to be protecting? And even so, what prompted him to lie in this situation escapes me. Very unprofessional of someone in uniform. If you're in the business of misinforming citizens, maybe this isn't the job for you.

Unfortunately I have to say I am extremely disappointed to know our tax money goes to these crooks. What good is it to have law enforcement if they are not going to help us when we actually need help. All they are good for is catching us when we make a human error and penalizing us for it. I am dissatisfied and hate to know this is our Police Department. We had an incident which was a hit and run and damaged our property but when the officer came all they said was that a report was not necessary even though we have the license plates because the damage was minor. It does not matter if the damage is minor write an incident report and let us take him to court but don't get lazy and find a way to get out of writing a report. Unfortunately now we are liable. I even said I am willing to take this to court does that not mean anything. I want this scumbag off the streets. I have to say I've lost all the respect I had for this department. Thanks again for being no help at all and thanks again for not caring and thanks again for taking tax payers money.

I have only one question. Are the people responsible for the illegal dispensary bust behind bars yet, and if not why not? As police officers it is your duty to arrest people who break the law. the police department broke the law, plain and simple. Every single officer who participated or even knew of this is guilty of a serious crime and should be prosecuted. this includes the officer who gave the order, the officer who heard about it in the locker room and did nothing, and even up to the chief or police who surely approved this illegal action. Just because you wear a costume (and call it a uniform) does not give you the right to break the law. If us citizens did this, we would be behind bars. A badge does not mean you are above the law. Therefore, the entire police department of this municipality should be charged with an outrageous and immoral crime, and be prosecuted. To do anything less is only furthering the crime and corruption. Please arrest those officers who were in this raid, and make sure to put them in a prison worthy of their crimes, which are horrendous, immmoral, and inhumane. This is an example of the absolute worst of human behaviour. Please do the right thing, and arrest these monsters.

I just called the SAPD Animal Control, and wow the customer service person I spoke with is very rude. First of all he makes no sense of what he was trying to tell me. His English is not great. I understand that you hire bilingual people only, but sheesh his ENGLISH needs to be on point. I guess I can't get hired for County jobs because I don't speak Spanish.SMH

You're better off without the police trying to help you. Had my car broken into 3 times in one week. Never show up but the last time they tell me to do a report on line. So I do but I'm requesting fingerprints to help stop this. I spend over an hour on the phone being transferred cause no one knows anybody in that department. This the reason why people take matters into their own hands. Thanks for nothing.

Awful i called for help with a shoplifter who i wanted to apprehend but could not arrest them cause the crime was not violent. The police did not show up and the shoplifter waited for 30 minutes and asked could she leave i had to say yes ...

"Serve and Protect" my ass!! I came in looking for help and I was considered a high priority and they were going to send someone to help but it took an hour and no one showed up! I kept waiting but no one ever showed up. Get your priorities straight!

Stop with the "homeless" comments! The police are unable to do anything. It is a state issue, the politicians voted in at the moment believe that is what you want. And this is the results. I read a comment, "give the homeless cars." Really? Grab a grip on reality that is expensive and is a temporary solution.
