No complimentary breakfast, no movie channels, and everything that should be included is not.
Meeting rooms well-appointed with the resort staff staying on top of details such as keeping pitchers of ice water filled every few seats. Thus was done throughout the day... just one example of their attention to detail.
Had to stay here for a conference. Too big, overpriced and wasteful. My room had no AC for 3 days. Got to high 80s with high humidity. Kept waking up in sweat every night and taking a cold shower to try to sleep. When I asked not to pay for those days, they said "no" and gave me a drink coupon! When I called the manager, she said she could only give me half a day of and that was worth $56! So a customer being unable to sleep for 3 nights during a critical meeting where I was leading a symposium and giving 2 talks was worth no more than $56 to them. Only when I tweeted about this, they agreed to return my money for 2 nights. good birding on the grounds though.
Awesome hotel, friendly staff, gorgeous views and everyone was very helpful.
My room had a random loud banging that lasted 1-2 seconds like the attic noise in The Exorcist movie. When I mentioned it to the front desk when we checked out, they acknowledged oh yes, we ve had contractor issues and we ve had to close a few rooms. It happened around the clock and woke us up. If you stay in Room 4122, bring a Priest or earplugs. They also hosted a Bridal Show which took up all the parking spots for guests. We had to park way out in an overflow lot. Pool and grounds were nice though.
Great accommodations very helpful and hospitable loved it
Lovely atmosphere, great service, and conveniently located next to great saguaro forest hiking.
Joey the patio bartender did a wonderful job; he put his own twist on signature cocktails.
His sweet & savory margarita and mojito's are a must!
He puts real thought into making a unique experience.
Beautiful views. Fabulous pools. Great food. Perfect rooms.
Beautiful setting, great decor, lobby was very comfortable, was visiting relatives that were staying there.
Amazing definitely recommend for vacations and getaways even if you live in Arizona!
Beautiful property, good food, but some of the staff are very rude.
This Hilton went out of their way to right a wrong. They upgraded my husband and I to a suite. It has 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchenette!!! Amazing!
Great, great place to stay. Set in the mountains with beautiful views and plenty of pools. Bbq available too.
Very nice location. Rooms are large clean and modern. Restaurants on site are not very professional, but the food is reasonably good. The resort is isolated for pedestrians.
Great facility, beautiful setting, rooms weren't the cleanest.
A beautiful place on a great vacation I go back every year.
Excellent place to relax, attend a conference, or visit the resort.
Want to relax for a quick weekend getaway or a mini vacation, this is the place. Beautiful facility and fantastic staff. The first time I stayed, I was in a traditional hotel room with great amenities and Mountain View s. The second time I picked the casita. Lovely area nestled away with a private pool and spa. The restaurant and bar is phenomenal with a view of the pool. Highly recommend!!
Our room was not ready on time. The restaurant was not the best experience. The Ono was over cooked and to sent back. The steak was not real medium rare. The ambiance was nice and service was good.
Idyllic location, beautiful resort, amazing landscaping, and friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
Beautiful setting for our conference. Attended well to our needs. Great areas to relax in the evening: lobby bar, outside patio, poolside and room balcony.
Very nice. Some parts dated but overall the rooms were nice and the bed comfortable
It's very hot their air conditioning not good. You have to walk at least 1/2 mile to get to your room. They really do not clean your room well. I dropped a piece of paper on the carpet and when I returned later from my meeting they had cleaned the room but the paper was still on the floor so apparently they did not vacuum.
Quick check in, clean and friendly staff. Very professional. The door to the bathroom was improperly fitted (had to force the door closed to get it to latch) overall very pleasant, just lacking some maintenance.
Thus place is cool. I look forward to another weekend getaway here.
Great place to relax with beautiful surroundings. Drink prices at the pool are very steep so brace for that. They have a chilled water pool next to the jacuuzi that feels amazing. The cactus and plant life is beautiful and the even lable some of it to explain what it is. If you spend time at the pool, you have to try the watermelon wedges. So good.
Went for a business trip. Never been to Tucson before, but the views from this place were rather delightful. The resort style environment was very nice, just wish I could stayed longer to enjoy all the amenitites.
Beautiful setting! My husband and I enjoyed a night here when we were in Tucson. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant as well, but paid a little pricey. The resort covers a huge area and can sleep 1200 people.
Great staff! Clean rooms, breakfast is awesome. Lots of space around resort, did not use tennis courts or golf course, but they look great.
Kenny and I stayed here in July. We were told this was one of the best resorts local to us here in Tucson. The room was clean, and organized. Check in was fast and convenient. No hidden charges, and an overall relaxing weekend. Looking forward to another weekend getaway here soon.
Was at the hotel for a training workshop, and though the location worked really well. Plenty of rooms for the different sessions and the guest rooms were well furnished. A little cold while we were there but the pool looked awesome. Maybe next time. Lots of stuff in the local area but don't count on walking to any of it.
Amazing views, friendliest staff... Just overall a wonderful place to escape to.
Delightful: the word that comes to mind. El Conquistador has a beautiful property. I promise you won't be disappointed with the view. Lunch at Sundance Cafe was nothing short of amazing - the cilantro lime chicken & quinoa is guaranteed to satisfy your tastebuds. And the Bucatini Pasta at Epazote tasted just as good as it looks (which was amazing). The rooms were average, nothing to ride home about. Tip: go to the adult pool if you want to swim in peace. Overall, I highly recommend staying here for any occasion.
Restaurant had horrible service. Better just drink beer cause they can't make a drink to save there lives. Rooms very dated also thought the elevator was going to blow up. Valet are the best people here. Front desk was very rude. Pool is ok I've seen better
The hotel is great and the other services are good. The services when i arrived horrible and the food is gross.
AMAZING PROPERTY AND EVEN MORE ANAZING CATERIBG ABD EVENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND AMENITIES BUT SUPER FAR
Fabulous Christmas Brunch! Plan on going next year also.
Elisa is the best employee at this resort! We had some drinks in the lounge/bar area and she took great care of us. Highly recommend this place!
Very friendly service, exquisite location and quiet!
The only reason this place is worth $100+(even that's a push) is due to its location. We are leaving earlier than anticipated due to the horrible sleep we got on the uncomfortable bed that felt like there was a pole in it. May be just the dip in the bed. I currently am using my phone data to write this because the internet is horrible here, unless you pay for the upgrade. The HIKE to and from the hotel was fun... Very nice of them to offer assistance once we already hiked up the hill and were walking. However the toiletries were nice, Crabtree and Evelyn. I would not stay there again. The Marriott is a much better choice.
I was here for horse back riding. The ride was nice, but they could treat the horses better. The horses drinking water was nasty.
Great Resort!!!
Great Food!!!
Great People!!!
Blessings

This is a fabulous resort! Thus is only the second El Conquistador resort we've stayed at...... wow! Wonderful rooms. Great golf course. Beautiful views. Great service... great staff. I can't say enough good abo the resort. I would highly recommend the El Conquistador resort in Tucson.
The location is amazing! The mountains provide a fantastic view, the waterfall pool is great and it's proximity to hiking trails and restaurants is exceptional.
Beautiful!! Excellent grounds. Rooms are well kept.
Very nice hotel. Rooms are comfortable. The scenery is great. Up against the mountains.
I read terrible reviews but found our experience quite different than what others have published. Staff was attentive and helped repeatedly during our weekend stay. Sure hope you remain a part of the Hilton family!
Beautiful resort at the base of an impressive mountain. Meeting rooms very nice.
Loved the secluded feel being surrounded by the desert landscape with plenty of wildlife. I ran the path around the golf course several times and was a great path. The staff was nothing but polite and super helpful. Highly recommend!
Staying here for asu college orentation and it's a great hotel. The lobby is great looking, I like the art and the stores inside the lobby. The golf cart drivers are always nice and more than willing to take you back to your room. The room is pretty modern just it's a decent walk to the lobby/pool from my room.
Staycation for my husband and I. Relaxing weekend. Beautiful views, great customer service and we enjoyed all our meals. Although room wasn't as modern as other resorts we've strayed, it was nice, very clean and relaxing. Would definitely come gain.
The bar closed too early while our event was still going on.
Had drinks on the patio starting at 4 PM. We were surprised and delighted when a Native American woman began playing a flute around 4:45. She used several flutes and played for more than 30 minutes. The combination of the sun setting on the mountains and the beautiful music was enchanting. We were told that someone plays the flute around sunset every day. We will return.
The grounds were immaculate...then there comes the service fee that they never tell you about. I didn't find out about it until I looked at my credit card. Horrible way to do service. I would much rather see all of my charges up front. Based on my conversation with the person that helped me I would not be staying here again.
Awsome, all as advertised, great service, a needed retreat near the mountains, off the beaten path a bit but worth it
The layout of the expo was fantasic and so was the bar
Not the best resort.. Very outdated and pretty standard.
Great resort! Location is great with amazing views. Large rooms with comfortable beds and very clean. Restaurants on site with many options.
Beautiful resort. Calming, peaceful and tranquil. Views amazing.
Update: we would like to recommend that the resort get an oversized Jenga oversized Connect Four and a bean bag toss game or a couple of each since there are a lot of kids that visit this Resort. They all should have the ability to check out balls for people to use.
Beautiful area, rooms were clean and big. Parking was horrible and service was extremely poor and slow. The waiters seemed annoyed and uninterested in serving us in the restaurant and cafe. It took us 20 min to get a drink from the bar in the lobby area. We preordered room service for breakfast and only got 1 meal when we ordered 2. Overall a poor experience for the price of everything.
Great rooms. Grounds are well kept. Service was great.
BEWARE: This should be a KGUN 9 story! Our home in Oro Valley flooded mid November 2019. Our insurance company made arrangements for us to stay long-term until repairs were completed. We were placed in a handicapped room accidentally by the More
