Great place with clean rooms, loved my stay at this place, friendly staff
Beautiful hotel directly on the beach. Considering Hurricane Irma had come through days prior to my visit, you would not have known. Yes, a few rooms were being restored, but it would not be anything out of the ordinary for hotels to perform upkeep. Wonderful experience.
The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They also have a Starbucks downstairs!
Drink prices are high , but it's not loud music well lighted bar nice place to start the night ...classy place
The hotel was ok at best, the management is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced in the 22 years my wife and I have been visiting Florida. very dishonest and condescending to say the least. I asked why I didn't get the gulf front room as I reserved and instead got a poorly presentable room overlooking the AC units. management didn't care and acted as if I was complaining for no reason. I checked out immediately and checked into the Hyatt where everything was as it should be. the manager even checked on us to make sure we were ok. I would never visit the Hilton in Clearwater ever again and will try to avoid them elsewhere.
Lovely place to see,lot of restaurant and fun... but too crowdy
Great location. Only ranked one star due to inability to provide a room that could accommodate a power wheelchair. Also, beds too low for handicapped transfers. Beware.
I was overly charged with fees the Hilton did not mentioned. The sign says $7.99 per night for the parking and I was charged $25.00 per night just for using the room key to exit. Also, they have charged me $25 per night for a resort fee? What type of scam is that? I was working from the room all day long. Plus other fees. Just canceled my trip to that hotel for March. Very disappointed and will never go there anymore.
Really great hotel with absolutely friendly staff, outstanding breakfast and service, nice and clean rooms and - of course - great location.
Room's not on top shape. Didn't tell you construction was going on. Better value
Other hotels during remodel only took 50 off bill for our inconvenience should have been more
Reservation rate was wrong. Bathroom toilet ran the whole time. Room was average. Requested an ocean front room we were given a parking lot view. Very nice pool and staff at the pool.
I will never stay anywhere else! The Hilton has the best accommodations, the nicest beach in the area, and a Tiki bar! Don't waste your money staying anywhere else. Trust me.
We loved the movie in the pool, location, room, drinks but we did not like the valet parking only! It adds time to everything you do and you have to pay to be inconvenienced. Also, what most hotels add as a free continental breakfast is 20$ which was nothing special.
Been going to this Hilton for years with family!!
The customer service is excellent!!
My family and I seriously had the BEST time here! Not only was it a perfect location, the service and staff were amazing too! I have 2 little ones that just enjoyed every minute of this resort! We were right on the beach with a beautiful view of the Pier and sunset (plus adult beverages)! It was priceless! It was everything and more that we could have asked for in a hotel/resort! We absolutely the the warm pools too, and they were so clean! We will be back! Thanks for the awesome experience!!
Very nice place and a friendly staff with great views
I just arrived and not only are the rooms small, but they re extremely dirty and outdated!
There was a used towel hanging up in the room where I stayed. This is most certainly not a four star hotel anymore. I would honestly give it a Two.
There s no complimentary waters or coffee makers in the room.
Even the Hampton Inn Clearwater Beach was 10000000% better and clean with huge rooms and showers!
I would not recommend staying here whatsoever.
The outdoor check in is weird. I'd prefer to be inside while going through my purse to find credit cards and other important related paperwork.
Shame on you Hilton!!! If you advertise incorrectly or more accurately deceivingly, it's hard to please your customers.
Be very careful you understand what your getting. There are very few gulfview rooms!
There is a renovation still going on. It may not be the same renovation the website says ended but it's still a major renovation in progress as of 1/31/18.
We booked on the Hilton Honors site. We found out it's false advertising. We got their concept of a Gulfview room. It is only a partial view that is seen past currently, a construction zone(once completed a parking lot.). Noisy, muddy and additionally, but not the fault of Hilton, massive blow up toys by the pier that sucked up the precious amount of partial view we had.
We also booked this property because of park next door to walk our service dog and go out on the pier. The pier was closed and the park grounds poisoned by fertilizer application the day we arrived. Again not Hiltons fault but part of the experience.
The staff was understanding and the manager has been trying to get corporate to correct the inaccuracy of gulfview when it's really partial gulfview.
After the first night and a Morning of major noise from construction, we were transferred to a new room which was overlooking the kitchen ventilation. The smell was so greasy and over powering plus the noise, we couldn't open our door or enjoy the balcony and we lost our sunset view.
Both rooms we occupied in this facility are very poorly designed. The bathrooms are so tiny and cramped. The second room we stayed in was a suite and could easily had made room for a larger bathroom but it was even more cramped than our initial king suite by a vanity that bowed out into the tiny space. Both rooms have a vanity that was very high and uncomfortable for my 5'1" stature. There is a big, nice tiled shower, taking up over half the bathroom space and you have to reach to the far side and under the shower spray to turn on the water. The toilets flushed so dramatically that water sprayed out onto the hand towel or your shins if you didn't move away quickly enough. Gross!!
The 2nd night, the suite, was on the outside wall and the living room wall had a large painting that covered a spot that easily could be a big window overlooking the gulf. We stood in the hallway looking out the nice window to see the sunset. Mind boggling design oversights. I guess I figure that Hilton is capable of much better planning.
The staff wasn't forthcoming with information on resort activities and we had to ask how to receive our complimentary diamond members breakfast.
The restaurant overlooks the beach but you either have to look through a rope grid or if seated by the windows, the umbrella cabana. A gorgeous view ubstrucked again. It was to cold to sit outside but some tables were available.
The breakfast had nice fruit and they provided a delicious gluten free toasted bun at our request. My husband also enjoyed the oatmeal. The coffee was ok. Wait staff! Carla was stellar our first morning and our second day our waiter was cold, inattentive and distracted. A disappointment after Carla's authenticity and compassion the first day.
The coffee pot water reservoir in our initial room contained someone's old coffee? Disgusting!
We are not fans of the new refrigerators without freezer sections.
The beach looked nice and it sure is noisey every morning as they groom the sand.
And my God!! Get your employees that are directing cars to the garage a chair to sit in. They stand there all day.
Shai, the manager was accomadating and did refund some of our points and money. If we were paying the going rate for this property I'd be irate. Add insult to injury! $25 a day to park and $25 resort fee! Our checkout bill was accurate and no odd charges as mentioned in other reviews.
Sam at front desk was as sweet as pie!
We won't be returning and have great empathy for the friendly and competent staff that obviously spends a good amount of time compensating for a poorly designed and inaccurately advertised property.
Very outdated room with broken balcony furniture. Everything felt worn down. The beach resort fee really just covers your towel. You have to pay for a beach chair and umbrella, and you can only have them on the Hilton "private beach" which is part of the upper part of the beach. If you want to be in the "first row"so that you can see the sea, you have to pay $200 for a cabana. Even then, you're set back from the beach on Hilton's "private beach." It's all a rip off. We also had an issue with other guests being loud in the hallway at 4am. We waited a few minutes hoping they'd quiet down when they got into their room, but after about 5 min of them screaming we called guest services who said they'd send up security. Another 15 min went by of them carrying on, so we had to call guest services again and they said they'd try to find their security guard to handle it. While the staff were all friendly, we won't be returning to this Hilton. It's just not worth the money.
The rooms are very well done, but this is not a resort. Spend a little extra and go someplace nicer when heading to Clearwater. Facilities are out dated, small pool is always overcrowded, and they charge for use of chairs and umbrellas despite charging a resort fee (which gives you nothing). Freindly staff made the experience more entertaining than miserable.
GREAT staff, great property, well maintained and assume views.
I went to Clearwater and stayed here a few years ago for the Phillies spring training. If I could give this zero stars, I would. It gets a worse rating than the Newark Airport, and I've had some horrible experiences at that airport. I was hoping it got somewhat better in the time since I was there, but judging from recent reviews, people are still having bad experiences.
I went with my mom and sister. We thought we were getting a two-bed room, but when we got there, there was only one bed for three people. We requested another bed. It took hours for someone to bring it up, and when it finally arrived, it was brought by a security guard because I guess they didn't have any other staff. It was also a cot, so it wasn't even a normal bed as advertised. We also ordered room service for dinner. It took over an hour and they brought no utensils. Had to wait again for the utensils to arrive.
The next day, we requested a microwave. It took 48 hours for the microwave to arrive. We also got no maid service until we asked about 50 times, and when a maid finally came to bring more toilet paper and towels, she used the bathroom and didn't flush properly. I get having to use the bathroom while you're working, but if you really have to go that bad, at least make sure you flush correctly and then sanitize everything again.
The beach was free! But not if you wanted to sit. You had to use their chairs, and if you wanted their chairs, you had to pay. On the beach, there was a teenager scream-singing loudly about how he was going to burn stuff down. I guess this isn't the hotel's fault, but they should at least make sure people aren't being sketchy.
Drunk people everywhere at this hotel, and you can hear them through the walls at night. If people want to get drunk, that's their business, but the hotel needs to make sure these people aren't running the halls and arguing/screaming/singing/fighting at 2 a.m. I know they have security, but I guess security is too busy bringing cots to people to do their job.
Lastly, after all this, on one of the last nights there the back of the TV fell off at random. Thankfully we were leaving soon.
If you come to Clearwater, do NOT stay here! You are not guaranteed a bed, or toilet paper refills, or basically anything you're paying for. I don't even know how this place is still running. On the bright side, Surf Style is right down the street. There's also a great breakfast place that has really good pancakes and coconut syrup nearby.
Beautiful resort. Didn't get to see alot.of it as we went there for a wedding. What we did see was very nice.
Dirty rooms my airconditioner appeared dirty as well had an asthma flare up had to cut my vacay short. :( managment didn't even want to issue a credit for me having to leave early.
The location is very convenient close to the pier. If you want better customer service and clean rooms stay some where else.
Beautiful views of the Gulf and the bay. Delightful beachfront facility with staff who went out of their way to be helpful.
Been here a few times now always clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly my favorite hotel on Clearwater beach I've tried many over the years not anymore I will be coming here from now on
Not the place for couples, women, or families. Probably ok for single travelers, but not for more than one. Bathroom has a sliding door that hangs more than an inch from the wall and doesn't come close to closing. This ensures that anyone else in your room can hear everything you're doing. The shower is pretty and modern, but standing only, so if you have kids or a medical necessity for a seating option, or just if you want to shave your legs, you're out of luck. There are also no shelves in the shower, so everything has to sit on the floor. The provided channel guide doesn't have a single correct channel. The provided amenities guide says the fitness area is on floor 3, but after a lengthy tour of the floors, I finally found it on floor 1. And no full length mirror. Maybe not a problem for most men, but a big problem for a girl there for a wedding! There isn't even a half mirror, and since there's no tub, I can't even stand on the ledge to see my full self. There isn't even a half mirror. The only two mirrors in the room ended at my shoulders. Zero help when trying to dress. This hotel was definitely not built to suit women or couples or families.
Not maintained well in the room, no balcony and view is the roof too under renovation on the 3rd floor. Not even full window, starts at eye level.
Police are intense here. Service dog with me, in a vest/lifejacket combo. Stating service animal on it. ID tag on k9 said service animal, and registration ID. I even had the photo ID from the ADA. Took all three to get the macho-super-neach-copnto mellow.
Great Room and decent view of the Gulf. There is not breakfast included!
Staff was so nice and on point. Very clean hotel! No hot tub, but the pool was SO amazing! We would stay here again! Your right by the pier, restaurants, activities, and beach! Perfect spot to stay!
Mandatory valet fee of $25 and resort fee of $25... not a hold, but a charge on your card after booking, paying and insuring the trip before arriving. Im an HH member, never seen that before. Should've stayed with airbnb.
Very nice hotel. Great staff and amazing spa experience.
Beautiful location. Private beach. Elevators from beach to your floor. Paradise!
It is very comfortable, the breakfasts are very good and complete
Great hotel with great views, very modern and enjoyable.
We had a great trip! The room was cozy and nice overall. I was worried about some things after reading reviews, but people are just being dramatic, it was wonderful! The staff were so sweet, the pool was beautiful, the beach was stunning! Don't bother getting a rental car, everything is basically within walking distance. We were lucky enough to go about a month before quarantine, it was a trip we will never forget!!
I stayed on Easter weekend 2019. There parking lot is not secured. My vehicle was vandalized in the Hilton Clearwater Beach parking lot totaling 500.00 plus dollars. I notified hotel security and corporate. They refused to pay for damages and corporate was very rude over the phone. The room was also filthy. I would not recommend this particular Hilton hotel in clearwater beach, Fl. Valet workers were not honest.
It a very nice hotel very clean good services loved the pools area for kids this a place we will like to go back it very close from restaurants at walking distance
Great staff, the only problem is they charge for everything they can.
We stayed here on our first visit to Clearwater Beach and it was nice, albeit a little bit dated inside. However, breakfast was really good every morning with a huge selection of fruit and cheese and breads, etc. There honestly wasn't too much of a reason to upgrade to the hot breakfast option. There were a large amount of restaurants nearby and a walgreens within walking distance that was open 24/7. Only rating 4 stars because there were some issues with our neighbors below us smoking a lot and the smell coming through our vents into our rooms. The hotel management refunded all of our points for the visit, but still.
I came to visit clear water during the beginning of Covid and had a great experience. The gentleman who checked us in upgraded us to water view and it made our visit that much more amazing. They definitely have great customer service throughout. I will say, I had one hick up with a waiter at the pool one day where we felt we were a burden with placing orders and such but he might of been having a hard day. All in all, I plan to stay here in the future.
The staff I very friendly and very attentive to your needs. The beach staff does an excellent job of making you feel welcome.
I have stayed at this Hotel for the past 11 years and have never been disappointed in the the stay, service, pool and beach are all wonderful. Staff are always willing to make your stay wonderful from housekeeping to dinning.
Rooms feel smaller than they were 10 years ago, though the design is modern. Beach item rentals didn't cost money back then, a little bit disappointed that you have to pay nowadays. 100% valet, no self parking, $25 per day.
Absolutely fabulous sand and water cheap parking ng and easy and near access to beach FABULOUS!!!
We frequent Clearwater Beach about twice a year and have been talking about giving the Hilton a shot, so we did. I will begin with the positives.
-When we arrived we were greater by friendly Valet service who explained the valet process well.
-The hotel was pretty big and had a nice gym.
-Great Location!!!!
Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives.
-We stayed in a basic room without a balcony and it seemed old.
- When we arrived at the front desk to check in, the front office staff wasn't nearly as friendly as the valet staff we fist encountered.
- The front desk area seems dark and not as welcoming as some of the other hotels such as Wyndham Grand and Opal Sands.
-The pool area is large but seems crowded and not nearly as nice as I was expecting.
I was hoping I was going to like this hotel more because the location is perfect but I will keep it as a back up only when my usual hotel is booked up.
Beware resort fees are $20 and really didn't include much. Parking is mandatory valet at $25. Beach chairs are not included and are $15 each and and umbrella is $20. Rooms are updated but small.
Awesome one of the best places on Clearwater Beach.
the best of all with shops included, with the beach very close, two swimming pools, the workers are very respectful and know how to speak more than one language, which gives tourists who do not know fluent English a good service
Fantastic service. Rooms are impeccably spotless given the Covid mandates and the view and beach, well, speak for themselves...AMAZING!
Great hospitality and beautiful resort. Construction made everything a complete mess. Also we were being followed and harassed by another guest. Went to valet for some safety and to tell them. Waited 10 minutes and no one came. Finally after 20 min the guy left us alone. We went to front desk to inform them. He said the guy us a guest and he is also harassing other people. All we got is an "I'm sorry. It happens". For 300 a night I shouldn't feel unsafe at a RESORT. No security at all.
Great location, but rooms aren't really that nice. Bathroom doors really suck, sink was broken, wifi is not great.
To make a long story short, we called to make sure the pool was heated, they told us yes, but we get there and nooooo heat. The heater is broken. We paid for the room online and when we got there it was another 50.00 for "resort and amenity" fees. This was the most expensive placed we stayed the whole trip and there is no complementary breakfast like at the cheaper places. No vents in the bathroom so if someone is taking a shower the whole room will be steamy. The only person I can remember is JACEY. She was working the pool/towel area. She's awesome. Thanks Jacey for helping me and my friends. Aside from that it was really disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this place at all to friends or family unless they do something about my horrible stay.
This renovated hotel was beautiful! The room was tastefully decorated and the lobby was sunny and serene in shades of blue/green. We visited the spa for the perfect massage and spa experience. The spa was lovely and the employees were very friendly and very anxious to ensure the very best experience. The beach is gorgeous and the pools so inviting! Highly recommend,,
Have cabanas to rent was really nice, also lost husbands wallet they called to let us know they found it which is rare, only problem the cabanas r really expensive.
We were there for a wedding and I was seriously underwhelmed. Stood at the front desk for about 5 minutes waiting to check-in and not a single front desk agent acknowledged that I was even there, including the supervisor. As someone who used to be a front desk agent, the least they could have done was nodded at me and told me someone would be right with me. Our room left more to be desired. We had a view of the water but directly under us were the AC units so the tranquility was lost. Also, the floor in the lobby wasn't even and it bowed whenever stepped on. For a Hilton, it was a let down.
Location was great! Was near the beach and pier on one side and stores/restraunts on the other side
We decided to have a family vacation here after spending our honeymoon here 14 years ago. It's still has fabulous as then! I highly recommend the Hilton. It's central location allows you be able to walk any where. Atmosphere is fun & family oriented. The staff are outstanding. We also had family photos professionally done on beach. The photos turned out amazing & the staff is amazing!! We enjoyed the bike rentals as well. There's so much to enjoy here for everyone. The beach is absolutely beautiful & is where we spent most of our time. I could just go on & on. Thank You Hilton & Staff for an amazing experience & stay. We will be back!
My boyfriend and i stayed for 1 night,we decided to go the lobby bar and we had the most stressfull experience. It was slow just 3 people at the bar after we sat for 20 minutes the bartender decided to go and ask what we want, for the second refill we were completed ignored, she looked at us and kept going.Next day checked out we went to the Tiki Bar,the bartender very friendly, attentive made our day,we had a good day before we headed home.Hotel is perfect great location, service at the bar awful
We had a great stay, room was very clean and the staff very polite.
Great access to the beach, nice amenities and friendly staff as well!
The blanket on the bed had mildew growing in the stuffing... which could only be seen when held up to the light from the window
Took the family for an overnight staycation. What a wonderful hotel! Our room was on the street side overlooking the harbor. The room was clean and up to date. The location can't be beat! Just a short walk to Pier 60, plenty of dining options, and of course beachfront. Love the Hilton Clearwater Beach! Will definitely stay there again!
Not what we expected for a Hilton property. We had to wait for our room upon arrival. Many things broken.....hotel was run down...we had black stuff in our shower, closet was musty smelling, no exhaust fan in bathroom, balcony was dirty, mattress was terrible, food at hotel was not good for the price. There were lines everywhere-elevators, front desk, towel check out and return, and bar. Loud ac units running so balcony area was not so quiet....Many additional fees for very little return.....Beach area was nice and pool area was nice. Pool staff and parking staff were excellent. They did have good movies for children though.
Absolutely beautiful view and beach access. However, for a Hilton, the rooms are small and the facility is very dated. The restaurant and bar in the hotel has a very sterile feel and lacks comfort. The staff however, is kind and efficient and does everything to make one as comfortable as possible.
Super accommodating! Assisted in planing my engagement. Very comfortable rooms. Friendly service looking forward in returning.
Great service clean room. Good pool to enjoy drinks n people watch
I am not one to write reviews ever but felt judged/not welcome upon check- in, the young lady put me in a room on the 4th floor that faced the street (not relaxing or a resort feel) I asked if I could upgrade at the very start (the lady did not even look at the computer or pretend and said "no") I could of stayed anywhere, and these days choice is everything.
Then changed my room (#2) to the same situation just 4 flights up (yes a little better of a view but not relaxing when sitting on the balcony listening to the street music/street noise. $225 a night plus a tax/resort/parking) room #2 - the door was hard to open/close room 850! The deadbolt did not work. And there were black ants in bathroom and along the wall near slider
The young lady never asked me if it was a special occasion, I was there visiting my moms grave and traveled alone in hopes to enjoy some peace and relaxation at a resort.
I then called the day after checkout today and spoke to Gertrude which just seemed to give a automated response and asked me what she could do (I asked for resort fee/parking $100) she then said if i would have spoke to them yesterday more could have been done and that she could only refund me $50 resort fee..
Maybe a rewards client is treated well, but as a non-rewards person with money i felt like just a number not a human.
Wonderful Clearwater Beach hotel with spectacular views and access to one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Staff incredibly helpful. Dining and drink menu is outstanding. Highly recommended.
