Upon arrival we noticed right away that this hotel is quite dated. The furniture and chairs in the lobby areas look a bit dirty and worn and cushions misshaped from use. Our room was not ready yet, so we ate out on the patio. We had to chase down the waitress as she walked right past us sitting there without making eye contact. Food was just okay, very overpriced. As we were eating our food, a lady ran over and vomited into a corner by a plant. That vomit sat there, in the open, for nearly 20 minutes. Then, the busser covered it up with towels and napkins. We noticed the next day that it had not been properly cleaned and remnants of the vomit remained there. Once we got to our room it did NOT look like a $300 a night room at all. The bedding, linens and towels were clean, but not anything else. The bathroom floor was filthy and you could see the carpeting had not been properly vacuumed for quite some time. Off to the beach. There were people using the facilities who were not hotel guests. The beautiful white sand was littered with cigarette buts. Smoking should be prohibited. This is where we discovered that the hotel was going to nickel and time as much out of us as possible. Think you have a chair to sit in? Nope, got to pay for it and exorbitant fees for cabanas and any of the chairs. We sat in the bar area (free) and enjoyed drinks from the Tiki bar and our waitress was delightful and friendly. At about 5 or 6 a guy showed up with some music and he had a guitar and his singing was not very enjoyable. We found a great steak and seafood place down the street for dinner, and came back to our room. We had a few drinks on the restaurant patio to watch the sunset. $25 for spa/gym, $25 for parking that might be full (hotel charges the public $12 to park). We will NOT be back. We feel ripped off after having spent just over $400 for one nights stay. If our room was $89 to $99 per night that would be more fair. The old bait and switch....hold out the Hilton name, and deliver sub par. It is my hope that Hilton executive management will read this review and take notice. This hotel does not meet the standards of Hilton. I would give one star, but gave two as most staff were lovely and attentive. Especially our breakfast server.

5- Hospitality, Warm Welcome, ALWAYS at your Needs... Clean, VERY CLEAN & safe surroundings! We'll definitely be BACK! Spent our 30th Anniversary & we're already planning on to return to CELEBRATE our 31st.

Very nice hotel and perfectly situated right on the beach. Right across the street are some shops. Under the hotel is a Starbucks and restaraunts. Has many things to do within and around it. Many restaraunts and complementary services. But along with that is a huge price.

My husband and I just got married here on the beach at the Hilton! It was an absolutely wonderful experience! Our coordinator was Courtney and she did a phenomenal job getting us all down the isle on time. She helped coordinate all the vendors and even decorate the day of!
My husband and I found all of our vendors through online reviews and recommendations for our Clearwater beach destination wedding. We made one trip to Clearwater about 14 months out to find our venue. We had contemplated going with a different vendor for the ceremony, but after talking with our coordinator at the Hilton the way to go was to let them handle all that. We did our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and morning after brunch with the Hilton. When we first booked with the Hilton we had one coordinator, then about 6 months later all communication ceased. It was a bit scary, but Courtney Owens picked us up and tried to make the transition seamless. There were some bumps along the way but Courtney went above and beyond to make sure this day was as smooth as possible. The venue was beautiful, and although they have their own "private beach", it is surrounded by public beach. If you are looking for a private/intimate ceremony I would not recommend the ceremony here. The reception was beautiful! the staff was amazing! The only complaint my guests had was that there was a (very loud) wedding going on at the same time on the lower deck.(Their ceremony started an hour before ours) If you have your reception outside on one of the decks, you run the risk of overlapping with someone on the other deck.(which is literally 10ft away from your reception area) We opted for the larger deck hoping that if we did happen to overlap it would be a smaller group. Who knew 20 people could make that much noise. We had to actually request the other party turn their music down, as we were trying to do our first dances. You have the option to rent both decks. If you want it private I would recomend doing that! For the money we paid we feel we should have been given a little more distance. The food was great! everyone loved the skirt steak and the stuffed chicken. The pigs in a blanket, shrimp cocktail, and crabcakes were amazing. (The staff even thought to hold some back for us while we were taking pictures!) Doing a large portion of the wedding through the Hilton took some of the stress away. They have inclusive packages, so as long as your not too picky they can take care of a lot of details for you. All in all it was a wonderful night and we wouldn't have done it any other way
Thanks, Lauren and Colby 6/10/18

Bathroom water smells bad...seems like unfiltered. We booked a package which had photo shoot but it's not of much use as the photos were so dark. The guy who took the photos said the photos will be edited for brightness but that's not done.

Paid $279 +taxes for ocean view and got a roof view with all the noise and heat of the air conditioning units and exhaust fans from the kitchen. So much noise we couldn't sit and talk on the balcony. Room and bathroom is small and cramped. Shower has mold on the bottom wall. Sat for 20 min at the restaurant before I had to flag someone down for water and coffee. $90 for beach umbrella and 2 chairs. Resort?food is good and staff is friendly but for the money, NOT WORTH IT!

Beautiful property. From the time we got there ; the valet & check in were very efficient & professional. Room was great! The service at the pool was great. I wish I could remember his name as he ran laps around the pool all day & was on top of it!.

Great location but customer service and lack of amenities were definitely lacking. Half of the front desk staff used Covid as the primary excuse for everything. Really needed the business center to get a few things done (sorry not available also due to covid). Can't believe they charge full price per night but offer you only a partial on the amenities.

I wish I can't take off the 1 star too seriously bad service and breakfast were force to be added and expensive. Do not add breakfast they will try to force you to add just have it outside better and at low price. Their customer service is 100% worse. Will not stay here

Could be brilliant but massive building works, which were not advised, seriously detracted from the experience.

Breakfast was always a chore due to the seating capacity being utterly insufficient for the size of the hotel.

Room was a good size and bed very comfortable.

Valet staff were excellent.

Very disappointed that I was not given my hilton honors points or permitted free WiFi. This was justified as a result of a central booking being made.

Room was clean and beach access is very convenient. Jacqueline during breakfast service was phenomenal and deserves to be recognized. Carel from Front Desk was great, Tavian (spelling?) and Andrew at the Tiki bar were both awesome and friendly. Valet service also great.

Hotel and pool were very crowded during the summer time. Room was not soundproofed, could hear neighbor's morning bathroom ritual on both sides. Also, unable to sleep due to Surfside bar across the street and loud music until 1am.

Room is clean and the view is nice. The bar serves good draft beer and the staff's service is fine. It is easy to access the beach. The sand and the sunshine is perfect. It is worthy to stay in this hotel. Enjoy!

Fantastic location. Beach on one side, main road with shops and restaurants on the other. Kids activities daily were great. Pool was great, very relaxed.
Their room guest services is slow however which is the reason for 4 stars. Had to call multiple times for things and cleanliness is slack. Only did our room properly when we asked multiple times. Staff at lobby were very apologetic though.

Overall was a great location and a great stay with pleasant staff.

Everything WAS great until our neighbors woke us up in the middle of the night. Once I called the front desk, the issue got worse with the neighbors being aggressive and banging on MY wall!!! Received no help from the front desk! I even asked for some kind of discount for that night and was told no!

Pros: very nice staff overall, location is great and most rooms can see the beach and ocean from the balcony.

Cons: Room is outdated. The connecting door doesn t have sound insulation. The guests next to us kept talking loud since 5 am in the morning and I can not fall asleep. Also, as a diamond member we have to pay $25 to have the full breakfast, which is a new policy.

I am not a fan of Hilton overall based on my own experience. If you prefer better room then choose Hyatt. But I can not deny that Hilton probably has the best location in clearwater beach.

Great hotel, especially for its location (right on the beach)! Amenities are good also. Especially love the tiki bar on the beach. It's also centrally located to all the hot spots on Clearwater Beach.

Very nice room, fluffy pillows and clean, beautiful hotel. The view was spectacular, even at night the area all lit up was beautiful. The pool was heated and service is excellent. Close access to many restaurants and shops. Will definitely come here again.

My family had such a great time! The hotel was in the best location! The pool and beach were amazing! Customer service was awesome- shout out to Kyle and Wayne for being great! Christopher was especially awesome!! He went above and beyond! We will definitely be back!

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, decent view of the beach, nice balcony. The tiki bar on the beach had excellent service. We loved having bikes available. 3 Stars because the restuarant service was horrible. We went to the one inside twice and left both times before a server came because of the long wait. There also aren't any chairs avaible near the ocean, they do have wooden patio chairs on the sand near the hotel but if you want a beach chair you have to rent them. Seems like things that that could be included in the resort charge.

This stay was for my bachelorette weekend and I have to say I was very disappointed in Hilton's level of service. There was a huge issue with our reservation, very little was done to correct it, and the restuarant service was horrible!!! We were there almost 2 hours and that was for burgers and sandwiches. At checkout, we decided to stay at the pool. We were advised we could lock our luggage up with valet. Not the case. The 2 women at valet were annoyed by us and did nothing to lock out luggage up. First it was put into a closet, after we refused to just leave it in the hall, but on return a few hours later, there sat our stuff along with other guests just sitting out in the hallway. They could honestly care less and were even more annoyed on return. Not what I expected at all.

The place is beautiful, the winter is sunny and pleasant, ideal to be outdoors with small children. There are two heated pools with cakes around that are very popular. The hotel provides towels for this area.
The beach is wide here, the sand is white and finite. The sea is beautiful, similar to the waters of Miami, but with a lower temperature. The room is spacious, with small refrigerator, complimentary water, coffee maker with supplies, large TV, good bathroom with products for personal hygiene. Good location, in the main area of Clearwater.

Clean rooms. Great view. Staff was friendly. Delicious breakfast! Hotel security was horrible. Called a complaint and the security guard showed up and stood in the hall and wouldn't confront the people and acted terrified to do his job and left without doing anything.

Such a wonderful place to stay. Everything you need or want is within walking distance or right in the hotel. Staff takes their service to the next level for you. Entertainment next door at pier 60 where also several merchants along the way & the pier where you can purchase a variety of items. Great time!

Needs complete overhaul of the rooms. Lobby has been remodeled and looks stunning, but the hotel rooms were filthy, battered, and moldy. We checked out right after checking in and stayed elsewhere. On a positive note, the location on the beach is perfect so to go there for dinner or drinks would be good, but I would stay somewhere else if your are very particular about hotels rooms being clean.

You need a key card to access the hotel from the street at night. If you do get in as a guest of someone staying here, the exit gate also requires a key card... Bad if an emergency requires you to evacuate,

You can walk out the parking lot entrance

the restaurant and star bucks is closed at late night,

It is ckean overall.
Parking on the street is 2 hours and paid by credit card at meter. Enforced 8am till 6pm

Decent rooms, albeit a bit small. Balconies were pleasant. Restaurant was a service disaster; 2 weddings & our 24-person group seemed to overwhelm them. Wait staff was extremely young; only at end of meal did anyone resembling management appear to check on us & the situation.

This being a Hilton property the Hilton I expected so much more.

The positives.

It's on the gulf and they're stunning views from every room.

The property is in the heart of Clearwater Beach right next to Pier 60.

The hotel itself offers all the amenities a great Day Spa, work-out room, restaurant Etc.

The staff is attentive and courteous especially our valet Mike.

The cons.

Being a Hilton Honors member I expected a Hilton Honors floor, evening receptions and all the perks that go with being a Gold member. "None"

There were no upgrades available so the standard King room is very small the bathroom is very small and the overall condition is average.

When we were out and about talking to some of the locals we found out that it used to be a Holiday Inn and there's just so much you can do with a property that dated and doesn't have good bones.

Knowing what I know this is a great hotel for tourist tourist families and others not looking for the typical Hilton experience and or not knowing what the better Hilton's offer.

We Now recommend the Opal

I gave it four stars because it is on the beach. I was disappointed that they gave us a side view of the beach when there were well over 20 rooms that gave you full beach view, which is what we paid for. We will go to another place next time that is cheaper.

Nice hotel on the beach. Great view of the beach and ocean from 9th floor. Valet parking was so convenient and a great help. Did not like the sliding door to the bathroom. It does not lock and didn't completely close all the way. Love the Peter Thomas Roth lotion and bath stuff. Smells very nice. One of my favorites!
