My recent stay was very relaxing and the great weather helped with my frequent visits to the private pool and beach. Now I was very displeased with the reservation team used by this hotel. Very deceiving fees specifically the daily charged $20.00 resort fee was not explained until my last day there. The daily double charge for county and state taxes was not explained but now understood once I returned home and contacted a Manager named Jacqueline. What needs to be understood is the difference between an "Adult Resort" and a "Family Resort." Trying to relax at the private pool was a challenge with children of all ages "jumping" in the pool where the signs clearing indicate no diving. Whether better parent supervision or the staff rules better enforced this will not change. My advice to adults....go to the pool early am or late pm before 10pm closure.

Staff and location were the only things that made it worth staying. The mattress was in terrible shape (somehow it was split in the middle). We arrived after midnight so we couldn't get it fixed until the next morning. They were supposed to bring a new one and we didn't find out until late the 2nd night, that they just flipped it. They also just left the bedding on the floor after they flipped the mattress. We had 2 nights of terrible sleep before the problem was fixed. Also, the majority of the rooms have an "ocean view" of the roof over the kitchen (which includes the heat and air units too). I love Hilton properties but we will not stay at this location again.

We stay here every April. There was a bunch of construction this year which bummed us out, but will be worth it for next year. The pool is always nice and warm for the kids and the spot can t be beat on the beach. The rooms are all redone and are decent. It is not the best hotel, but the staff goes over the top to make sure you are treated right to make up for it.

Excellent hotel, with nice rooms, and a privileged location, direct access to the beach, exceptional attention. You only have to pay additional to the price of the room $ 25 of Valet parking and $ 25 for the right to use Resort per night and taking into account what it offers and the proximity to restaurants, shops, cafes, ice cream parlors and Pier 60, they are worth those costs additional At this moment there are adjustments and improvements to the hotel but they do not disturb the stay at all. Absolutely recommended.

The hotel needs modernization. Don't reserve a room on the interior. The air conditioners run 24 hours rendering the balconies VERY noisy. Not enough elevators. Extremely low toilets, hard to get down and get up.

Extra, extra extra... Everything is extra. Parking 25 a day, 25 a day resort fee which makes no sense because beach chairs 45 bucks ea. No breakfast included either.. Place is rediculous ala cart

I understand that it's spring break but to charge over $400/night at the military rate for a Monday and not offer free breakfast, cabanas or loungers without a fee, $25 for parking, broken elevators...not worth it. Never again.

What a fantastic experience. Beach and pool was fantastic. Room was clean. Great view of the pool and the beach. Slept like a baby. Was never bothered by any house. Not the hallway or the front of hotel. All staff and guest where friendly. Everything is walking distance.

The beach at this Hilton is great, and there are nice local restaurants and shops all within walking distance. The pools are really nice too. The staff responded to our needs quickly and did a great job at responding to issues with the room (we had to have the room de-feathered due to allergy issues). However, we did not have a lot of water pressure in the shower and the water kept changing temperature during the shower. I thought this may be due to being on the 9th floor.

Poor Customer service with Cabana's and Pool. Staff were rude and took a relaxing vacation into a "I don't want to be here". We have been coming to the hotel for 12 years and will not return. Breakfast waitress didn't even realize we had used vouchers and paid and gave a 40% tip yet chased us down to the elevator saying we did not pay. Need some training on how to serve and treat guest who are looking for a relaxing time away from stress and confrontation from staff that could be kind in talking with guest. Front desk was awesome service.

Lovely view from room, even though fog rolled in soon after we checked in. Great breakfast with omelette station, relaxing pool and beach bar. Everything at our fingertips. Real resort feel. Great staff!

Worse price fraud booking I've ever encountered. I booked on the actual hotel website, they asked if I wanted to add resort fee so I figured parking, towels, and basic things like a chair to sit by the beach would obviously be included and basic breakfast but not. The resort fee included a gift bag with 2 bottles of water basically. So yes they charge you for drinking water. On top of that they charged 25 for parking. Breakfast at 25 per person for cereal bread and coffee! When we happily went to sit by the beach and left our own beach chairs at home, yes they asked us to pay 80 dollars for chairs and umbrella. It was the worse experience ever. Beware of these hotels price gauging. We ended up paying 275 one night without breakfast and sat on the sand because I refused to pay anything more to these scammers.

My future husband planned a secret stay cation here for us after having a miscarriage. The staff was amazing... They allowed him to check in early in order to set up our room special for me.... The pool and bar area was beautiful and open late! Beautiful views.... All staff was wearing mask and we saw constant cleaning. We had a great time 2 nights for under 250 on the beach ...

Perfect location, nice walk to beach, white sand. Nice bar back of the hotel facing the beach, also the swimming pool is very good with food and drink service. One thing I didn't like about he beach was the small RV trucks driving around picking up unused beach umbrellas, chairs, etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable, couple things on the down side in the rooms, the sink faucet was very short with not enough clearance to hold your hands under! also light in the bathroom was not strong enough and need improvment. Internet was very good. The breakfast restaurant by the lobby was very good, clean, and the Omelet was just delicious, the scrambled eggs, sausage, French bread was good as well. I m attaching few pictures I took. I would definitely recommend it. Price for complete breakfast (including the Omelet station) was $18 Good food, reasonable price, nice place. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Horrible, old rooms. Expensive & not worth the price at all. Charged me a measly $25 just because we parked our car to unload! That's a MIDGET BUSINESS strategy to get in more money. Much better places to stay for a small extra few bucks.

My son and I went for a dude weekend trip for his birthday. We arrived was greeted by I would think the manager maybe over the valet. From first greeting I knew we was welcome. He told us it was included in the resort fee which was nice. Then he began to tell us of the other stuff that was included. When we got up to the service desk was greatly greeted by everyone. When we finished the check-in they told us about the included stuff from bike rental, kayaks, paddleboarding that was included the next morning so we took advantage of the bikes we took them down the whole beach walk all the way back to breakfast. The paddleboarding and kayaks were unavailable at the time due to the sea fog was to thick and unsafe to be out on the water which we understood. When we got back with the bikes we checked out and was told we could leave our truck in the valet till later in the day with no extra charge which was great. I can say we was in the middle of everything. We will be staying here evertime we come just to take advantage of the stuff included in the resort fee keep up with the great work see you soon.

Great Location!
Thanks to Denzil the front service director. He came through for me!

Not up to the Hilton standard. The room smelt of sewage walking in and after the first flush it clogged. The AC was extremely loud with a clanking sound. Would have been fine if the second bed wasn't only 6 inches from it. The only thing nice about the stay was the accommodating staff, but I think I'd splurge a bit more next time to stay somewhere newer and nicer.

Massive hassle with parking and logistics. Was forced to valet car. Location only redeeming factor. Room was very small and underwhelming. Our balcony was over looking the top of a building and views were not great. Property had a lot of great bars and restaurants on them but they closed so early, maybe because of covid? Very unimpressed for the price i paid.

Hotel was decent. You can tell that you're paying mostly for the location. Taxes and fees ended up adding an extra couple hundred dollars to my 2 night stay. The receptionist did recommend an awesome sushi place though so that was nice.

This location certainly does not warrant the honor of being called a Hilton - My daughter's wedding was there 10/4/14 it costs me over $40k with about $30k+ of that going directly to the Hilton- we were treated as if we were being comped the entire event. Melissa Rowjohn was unprofessional and personally had my daughter, the bride in tears ONE HOUR before she walked down the aisle. She approached my 23 year old daughter, in front of 10 other people while she was getting dressed for the wedding and Melissa berated her and told her 4 TIMES that her groomsmen were harassing the other wedding that was being held DIRECTLY BY OURS WITH ONLY A PARTIAL SHEET SEPARATING US. I was not in the room so Melissa made the call to confront my daughter with a security guard in tow and told her due to our groomsmen threats the security at her wedding would be amped up and she wanted to make her aware in case she was wondering why she saw so many. I then met the bride that supposedly made these charges only to be told by her that she did not tell Melissa that - she told her it was ONE female and she had no idea if she was with our wedding or where she came from. This is only ONE of the fiascos. The next was there was a terrible wind storm - no rain but the sand was painful. Melissa without discussing with us made the call to keep the wedding outside - we could have endured the 15 minute ceremony but she then made us move our picture taking to a part of the beach that exposed all of our pictures to random people & chairs in the background to ensure we were not disruptive to the pictures being taken by the other wedding being held. Due to this disabling us to be able to continue pics we said we would just go on in to the reception to which she told us we could not because we had a contract that specified we would enter at 6:30 - my daughter was in a $5k dollar dress that was being destroyed by this wind as well as her hair, veil and every single one of us in the bridal party (26 people) being hammered by sand that literally hurt. She was unwilling to make any adjustments to this to accommodate the pain and discomfort we were all in. The bride & groom had to go to the bathroom and were told the only way was to climb over the sand dunes and go through the parking lot again so we did not disturb the other wedding being held. My daughters dress was full of sandspurs, dirty & torn and her veil & hair so terribly destroyed that it had to be redone taking her out of her own celebration for almost 30 minutes. There are MANY other items that were completely messed up by Melissa and no one at the Hilton was willing to help EXCEPT Dan F. the banquet manager. If you don't have him THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE NO FOR A WEDDING!! OR ANY OTHER GROUP EVENT! I have a more detailed description of several other items gone wrong with this event on Trip Advisors check it out before you book. You can get SO MUCH MORE for your money somewhere else AND be treated with respect, not smugly by someone in charge of your big day like Melissa Rowjohn

Under construction as renovations continue. I would have given 5 stars but I feel like the beach activities should have been included with the room rate. $200 for a beach cabana seems steep. Shop that has the towels didnt have everything on their list - we would have bought a boogie board but they didnt have.

The location is simply priceless. Beach in front of the door. And what can you say - Hilton just! Only the additional costs are heavy. Parking as fast as $ 25 a day and a resort fee of $ 25 is also added. That's pretty crisp.

The beach was wonderful but the rooms are old with a smell. The bathrooms are very small and things come off the wall. Needs to be renovated. Since it is very expensive I cannot recommend.

There was mold in our bathroom. The valet parking is not worth the money! They told us it s your car you can go get your own car when we went to the front. What is the point of having valet if they are making us get our own car??? If you do not request a room cleaning they will not do it. It took an hour to get a few more shampoo bottles. Do not recommend going to this hotel with high expectations.

We were there end of May for our anniversary and had some issues so came back for a redo last week. Cant say enough about the staff. They were friendly and super helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the balcony was awesome (we had a junior suite facing the gulf). The only minor complaint we have is they need to put a brighter light in the bathroom.

The hotel was perfectly situated on the beach compared to some others where you have to cross the street to get to the beach. You literally walk downstairs and there's the beach.
If you are a Hilton Honors member you get a few nice perks & it's the only area of Clearwater Beach where you can drink on the beach.

Great location right on the beach, great staff. The rest was disappointing. They like all the other supposedly 5 Star hotels nickel and dime you to death. I know they think well, if you stay at a five star you'll pay for everything! It would be much better if they just charged more for the room and include everything like the all inclusive resorts do.

I would prefer to stay at a Hampton Inn than here again. They have the same great bedding and even include breakfast. This Hilton property has dated rooms that are wearing out. The slider to the balcony is extremely hard to open, the adjoining room I got for my son and his family had a bathroom sliding door that when you closed it the bottom guide moves with the door. If his wife and kids weren't in the room, he would have been trapped in the bathroom for hours until the room attendant came in to turn down the bed.

The resort fee is a joke. They give you paddle boards and kayaks for free along with a lounge chair at the pool based on availability but if you are at the beach, a chair is $18 and an umbrella is even more. With tax it comes to $52+ and you are in the third row behind the cabanas! Of course if you want the full set up, 2 lounge chairs, umbrella, cabana, and big day bed. Then for $200 + 7% tax, you can be in the front row. Third row doesn't sound bad but you need to realize this is public beach and the hotel is not allowed to place chairs or cabanas closer than about 30 feet from the water. Add the third row to that and you are better than 100 feet from the water. You certainly can't watch your family from there and if you are older it is a tough walk on soft sand that you sink into with every step. Oh, did I mention it is the same price if you are a hotel guest, a Hilton Honors member or the public. Just a bad situation when you look at the online pictures of the beach with all the cabanas set out on an empty beach!

Would we go back? Probably not if we could find something else that was a better value for the money this cost.

Great location! Beach is amazing, and a walk to all. Could manage checkin process much better and have more housekeeping staff to turn over rooms. I requested early check in and waited 3 hours. That is understood because I am a hotelier, but my room was not cleaned until after I called down to complain at 7:15pm. Then it was made up with existing sheets and pillowcases, and folded my damp towels. Be sure you know all the hidden fees. $20/day resort fee, $25/day for parking, $18 for breakfast. They tried billing me for internet at $14.95 even though supposed to be in resort fee. Again, could be awesome but fell short because of carelessness.
