Kind of getto but did the job. Bring your own sheets as theirs feel like sandpaper. Decor was outdated but the bathroom looked a right. Decently clean. This is a step below motel 6 but is priced to reflect that.

We stopped here in hopes of finding a nice place to sleep at a reasonable price. First we were shown room 14, which had an odd smell (my husband thought it was smoke, but I couldn't place the smell.. but it wasn't good). We always check for bedbugs no matter where we go since we've encountered them in the past. The attendant commented on how thorough we checked (just lifted up one corner of the bedding to check the mattress) and said even her inspector doesn't search that thoroughly and seemed very annoyed. She finally showed us another room that was much better (room 7 I think). It smelled much fresher and the bed was certainly cleaner, but by that time we had already decided to not give them our business. We we're being hurried along by a somewhat condescending attitude even though it was plenty early in the evening. Weary travelers, be warned. Definitely ask to see a better room even though you will be told they're all the same.

Rooms are neat and clean. Management/staff super friendly and polite. Affordable place to stay on the way to Orlando/Disney.

The customer service is despicable. The owner refuses to let you cancel your reservation. If you call and cancel and are told that is no problem he will still charge your credit card. RECORD YOUR CONVERSATION.

Awful!!!!! Who writes these reviews? This hotel deserves no stars. Woke up to roaches in our bed, and bites all over our bodies. The room had an old musty smell, and the towels are brownish looking. The fridge ,and microwave neither worked, and You can hear other guest next door. The fun part was realizing they took extra money from my account. I got what I paid for , lesson learned .
Walked in room and walked out!Both beds were dirty(one had hair all over it and the other had dried blood!Open the fridge and a roach ran out!Walked back up front and explained to the lady about the room and she started hollering and saying no refund because I touched the blanket and opened the fridge!Threated to call the police and my card company and she started screaming at us about how we taking money from her!!!Finally got my money refunded after she threw a fit! It took 9 minutes to check in and get the heck out of there!!!Might as well call it Trashy Dirty Inn!! Only gave it one star because that's the only way it would let me post

Wonderful place to stop over in Lake City. Very clean, comfortable, well cared for not to mention close to everything you might want or need. Rooms are large, fresh and well appointed. Great broad line up of television channels not standard elsewhere. The price to stay is extremely low. The Inn Keeper is such a lovely person and quite accommodating. Highly recommended. We truly had a perfect stay!

Simple bare bones motel. We had been driving all day and needed a place to stop for the night. The chains were full or extremely expensive for our needs. No pool or amenities but has wi--fi, microwave and fridge. The Driftwood is an old motel but clean. It is within walking distance to several places to eat. Although it is on a busy, main street it was quiet and the bed comfortable. Met our needs at a low price.

Room was not very clean, it was very dusty, chairs in the room were dirty and towels were completely washed out. We were meant to stay two nights but checked put after the first night. Everything in the room. EXTREMELY dated. Check in lady was very nice and asked us to make sure to give a good review...sorry but u need to make some drastic changes.
Our room was very nice and clean, the staff was very friendly, and the bed was good! We would stay here again. Also, our room smelled fine -- no bad odors of any kind. I was able to borrow a hair dryer, too.
I will say that this Motel was not bad, but not best. Was traveling to Gainesville Fl for a Veterans Event and there was no hotel/motel within 40 miles. Found this motel within those 40 miles, still a long drive, but you don't have a choice when the price is good. Rooms were clean, slept comfortably. The only issue was that the refrigerator would not work, including the microwave that was on top of it, which I didn't need. I then realized there was no power going to thefridge or the microwave. Again, fine. I would just be there for one day. We arrived late at night, and there were no restaurants near by that were open: Tropical Smoothie, Dunkin Donuts, walmart was across the street, but really didnt have the itch to go there.

This is a very very nice hotel in the beds were very comfortable and the area is nice the only negative thing I can say is they did call us in the morning with an unwanted and unscheduled wake up call before checkout time. I hung up the phone without talking to anyone to try to give them the benefit of the doubt and saying oh maybe someone accidentally called the room. But, then they knocked on my door to tell me that it was almost check out time. This is not something a hotel should do. I typically rent hotel rooms because I'm on road trips I need the sleep I know exactly when to get up I know exactly when to get out. I always check out by the exact time listed. But all this happened before 11am which was check out time. I could understand even it was 11:00 or even 11:01. But we were out and had their card back to them by 10:56am. And, I like to be left alone on the morning. So if you stay here I'd highly recommend it, just make sure if you like your own morning routine you request not to have an unwanted and unscheduled wake up call.

Don't go there! We stopped to get a room while on our way to FL. The gal in the office said she wouldn't honor the coupon book bc and the price would be $20 more than the book. Don't think so!!! There were families sitting outside that we're living there full time. Curtains we're filthy and the outside appearance was awful needless to say.
We would never stay at a dirty filthy outdated place as the Driftwood Inn!

We stayed one night last week and found the Driftwood Motel to be clean, nicely decorated and very convenient for disabled people. We booked two rooms and think this is a great value for the money.
Awful rooms. Even had bugs in the bathroom I have a picture for proof. I told them my sheets were dirty (they had awful stains) they said those were the only ones they had. I don't know how this hotel has a rating of a 3 and higher. Oh and they come in every day in your room and shut off you AC! If I could give it less than a 1 star I would!
Stayed a week ago rooms are clean, great location although personally I dont like how they are going into the room I paid for multiple times a day without me being present. House keeping is every other day not every single day.

The room smelled of some kind of industrial cleaner. The air conditioner didn't work. Bathtub faucet is strangely really high. All pillows were different and some were lumpy. Room cost almost $80! To make matters worse, I got the room after traveling from Atlanta to a Jacksonville interview, but after getting in the room and making a trip across the street to Walmart, I got a text saying that the interview was canceled because of a hurricane 100 miles off the coast. I showed this text to the woman in the office, and she said that they would not refund my money and pointed to a sign on the wall that said no refunds. When I looked disappointed and asked for a partial refund, she explained that it's just a job for her and she just works for people. But I say that those people SHOULD BE BETTER. I will stay at a big corporate hotel chain next time.
This place was unbelievable comfortable and clean. We just needed a place to crash while driving through and this might be our new regular stop in the area. There owner is super friendly and when we asked nicely, she gave us a coffee maker for in our room. This isn't a resort and it's not full of fancy amenities, but it is a clean, safe place with welcoming staff and that's exactly what we were looking for.

Hotels here used to be very low rates...no more! This hotel is simple, clean, no frills, well located.....close to interstate. But......has bad smell in carpet and slightly bad in bathroom from somewhere.
The usual m.o. by india-owned places. Cheapest tv access, cheap soap & shampoo, etc.
Room was very clean..comfy beds and pillows....smelled nice...owners went out of their way to be helpful even though it was late....we will be back
Pretty clean room with some stains on the comforters. The pillows aren't the most comfortable but definitely a fine quiet place to rest your head. 20 steps away from a Tropical Smoothie Cafe, YUM! If you like it cold, blast the AC otherwise it will stay hot.

Just tried to rent a room I called I told her that it was me my husband and our emotional support dog she told me $85 plus tax I said that the website says $60 she said sorry about that that is for one person then she said how long will it take for you to get here I said well google maps said it would take an hour but my husband will be pulling our stuff she said well first come first serve so we are not going to be going to this motel unfriendly or caring

The owners are wonderful and attentive. This is more of a place for one nightters or workers who travel that kind of thing. But overall the experience is accommodating. The location it's close to all major restaurants its literally walking distance to Walmart, movie theater, planet fitness and restaurant or cafe. Also not far from exit.
Just what we needed on our trip in Florida. Nice clean room and a fantastic shower. The beds were comfy. Jag, at the front desk, answered questions and was so sweet.
The room smelled strongly like MOTH BALLS (and a mix of bug spray), and the bug spray obviously didn't work....said the roach running down the wall by the mini fridge.
I give Driftwood 5 stars based on what we got for the price. Stayed 1 night with my 2 kids while driving from south FL to ATL. It was great! Clean, spacious, quiet, good free Wi-Fi, friendly staff. The coffee was good and the kids liked the honeybuns. Location is perfect, minutes from 75 but not right by it. We had dinner at IHOP which was nice too. Would stay again!
Staff was friendly, room appeared clean, but had a strong animal odor. Not my kind of room! If they would take time to get rid of the odor, would not be a bad place if you are looking for a place to sleep only!

Ok it's good for $67 including tax. I didn't have any problems. It was quiet at night, everything worked. My car was fine in the morning. Nobody bothered me. The shower was hot. I never saw any bugs in my room. It's just an overall good stay.
The owner came off as rude and appeared to be annoyed just by our presence she was checking the room upon check out. I asked her was there a problems and she stated her place is clean so she is just checking. She also had advised me check out was at 10:30am so I let my two grands out doors at 10:00am and she called saying they are waking people up. I called them in and I brought a bag to the car and guess what? all doors are open and not one occupant was in the hotel! This lady will not get my Buisness again. What she should have said to me being that I was from out of town and she knew it, was ma'am I hope next time you are in lake city that you would visit us again and thank you for doing buisness with us.
Room was very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced! Large room with King size bed, flat screen tv, micro and fridge, good wifi signal, and friendly staff. Only complaint was low water pressure in shower and not always enough hot water. We originally planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying 6! Would highly recommend this place!
