Amanda Calvert Review of Hilton/ Doubletree Clearwater ...
Not the place for couples, women, or families. Pro...
Not the place for couples, women, or families. Probably ok for single travelers, but not for more than one. Bathroom has a sliding door that hangs more than an inch from the wall and doesn't come close to closing. This ensures that anyone else in your room can hear everything you're doing. The shower is pretty and modern, but standing only, so if you have kids or a medical necessity for a seating option, or just if you want to shave your legs, you're out of luck. There are also no shelves in the shower, so everything has to sit on the floor. The provided channel guide doesn't have a single correct channel. The provided amenities guide says the fitness area is on floor 3, but after a lengthy tour of the floors, I finally found it on floor 1. And no full length mirror. Maybe not a problem for most men, but a big problem for a girl there for a wedding! There isn't even a half mirror, and since there's no tub, I can't even stand on the ledge to see my full self. There isn't even a half mirror. The only two mirrors in the room ended at my shoulders. Zero help when trying to dress. This hotel was definitely not built to suit women or couples or families.
