This place is unethical all the way around. They listed a used vehicle with photos representing a Honda Pilot that was not damaged. I asked the sales consultant several times if the car had been in an accident and I was told no. I visited the dealership to look at the Honda Pilot and was headed for a test drive when the salesperson told me the car was just hit. Do yourself a favor and shop at another Honda dealership where you will be treated with respect.

The staff were very informative and helpful. Dwayne Holman was very understanding and negotiable on the car I was looking for after hearing my stressful story of having a tree land on my car and making the trek from central Rhode Island, needing to get a similar ride soon, on a budget.

Although I ended up not making the purchase, as my budget turned out tighter thsn expected, he was helpful and I would shop there for my next car in the future, regardless of the distance to travel.

This was my first out of state automobile purchase and I'm absolutely satisfied with the pricing, service, sales approach and final delivery. The sales team quickly located me the 2017 Ridgeline Rtl-E in the color I wanted, priced it right, and had it there for me to inspect when I came down to sign the papers and have my trade-in appraised. Thomas Ayers, the salesman, is honest, respectful, and a pleasure to speak with. He safely drove my new truck to me as well as picked up my trade-in from my home town in Maine. My least favorite place to be in the world is a car dealership who are always trying to take advantage of your naivete and get more of your money. However, Sean made it bearable with the transparency of his communication and fair resolutions to my problems. I was looking to lease a Honda CRV EX with Herb Chambers of Boston, Our salesman Fabian was hardworking and amazing, he answered all of my question and gave me a very good deal on the car.
The let down was the finance manager Marco Entraigues who was very careless and has no respect for his customers. He never picked up or returned back any call, didn't talk about leasing policies or leasing insurance. I had an appointment with him at 6pm, he kept us waiting for an hour and didn't even bother to apologize, in that mean time the manager shows up with a few papers and just tells me to sign and go without walking me over the leasing agreement. When I asked him a few questions he replies to me saying 'I am not the finance guy and cant answer your questions, since he is busy you can sign here and then talk to him' I was put down with the managements unprofessional behavior and just called off the deal.
Herb chambers of Burlington had better customer service and management, ended up buying the car with them.

This is an updated review because of my 2nd experience getting a car at Herb Chambers. My husband and I came to the dealership last weekend because our 3-year lease was close to ending and we wanted to get more information about our options. We had no plan to get a new car that day but after working with Brad we ended up getting a new HR-V lease that day for a deal that we are very happy with. Brad was awesome to work with. He was easy-going and not pushy and met us where we're at. The other employees at this location are also really friendly. We like this place, clearly, as we came back a 2nd time.

It was my first time coming here with my parents. My mother was looking into buying a new 2014 Honda Civic. This dealership was huge and had tons of cars on display, and it also had tons of extras like coffee, and ice cream! They sure know how to treat their customers. We were assisted by a bright young man by the name of Saurav. He was very personable and diligent. Despite some difficulties, Saurav was able to overcome this adversity in a cool, calm, and collected manner. If you're looking to buy a car, then Saurav's your guy.

If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would. Maybe the first dead giveaway was when I arrived and an irate customer was yelling at the service advisor to just get his keys back,so he could leave. I thought it was just a bad situation for that guy.

About an hour later another guy lit up the entire place screaming out of control and the manager had to remind him that he couldn't act that way in his store or he'd have to leave. Shame on me, but I'm always an optimist and not thinking I'm going to have a problem too.

I was told more than likely when I arrived at 8 am that it probably will be done by 10 but they would let me know. At 9 am my vehicle hadn't moved from where it was parked. After 11 I hadn't heard anything so I wanted to look to see if they were working on it. I didn't see it in the shop so then I found it in the parking lot.

I checked the hatch and it was working properly, so I assumed it was done. I went to the sales rep and he said he didn't have the paperwork yet. He talked to them and said they still had to bring it inside. They did approximately 45 minutes later so now it's noon and I was told it won't be much longer.

Still not seeing anyone else working on it I went to a manager and told him my story. The only difference was I didn't lose control. God has been working on granting me more patience. He said if they don't get back to me soon then he'll search me out.

Still nobody worked on it, but yet now it was out in front in the parking lot. I think they just wanted me out of there at this point. When they totaled the amount it was slightly over and at this point I just want to leave and paid the additional $11 or so that I was overcharged.

I will never go back there even if what they fixed breaks tomorrow I'll go somewhere else and have them fix it. I saved about $100 compared to the other dealer, but remember that saying. You get what you paid for and I would have gladly paid $100 more and got out at 10 am. My time is worth something and that place is chaos.

I guess I never expected a place run by HERB CHAMBERS to be a disaster. That place is and I hope the manager reads this and takes some action. I've had my vehicles serviced many times over the years and never had service as poor as that. Lastly, I'll say buyer beware and choose your service dealer wisely.

I don't normally write negative reviews, only positive or I don't write it. This was just so bad that I didn't want someone else going through it. Stay safe be well and vote, if you haven't already.

Matt Keith's assistant was very attentive super smart and willing to help out often, I can say I learned a lot even with asking my reittereated questions over and over. He never got old of them he was funny with making comments it seemed to relate well and he was awesome. I trust both Matt and Keith to help me with. My questions knowing I will have them.

I'm thrilled excited to drive my new car and see how it works learn the security needs and be in line with the rest.

What is usually a very unpleasant, high pressure and stressful experience was instead a positive and stress-less transaction with Fabian G. Fabian was professional and not the pushy sort of salesperson you expect to encounter at a car dealership. He really listened to my needs and understood my budget limitations. Although the car I had originally wanted to purchase was unavailable, he assured me that he'd find the perfect car for me. Surely, he did and I am happy and feel very confident with my 2013 Honda EX-L purchase! I have never received such great service and kindness at a car dealership. Had a flat tire (the full size spare, brand new, literally 30 minutes of driving on it) on my Lexus and all the gas station air pumps were down because of cold weather. Brought it here at 9 am just to put air in it. They almost didn't take it in and told me I should go to the Lexus dealer. On a flat tire. Then, they told me it would be two hours and if there was something wrong with the tire they couldn't even change it, and if I couldn't drive it they wouldn't keep it on their lot at all. Because, you know, Honda tires are apparently not the same as Lexus tires. Or something.

They never called, so I went in at 6 pm, AND THEN, they charged me $25 for "fixing it," which I would be fine with except they stated it was due to a valve stem cover. Not the valve stem, the cover. The little plastic screw on bit that people lose all the time. There is no way on earth a tire can go flat due to anything with that little cover. I honestly would have paid $25 just for their time and because I was desperate, just don't lie to me, especially when it's something akin to telling me that grass is blue.

So, to sum up, they almost turned me away because it's not a Honda, took all day to fill a tire with air, and then charged me $25 (probably because they know they're the only ones with air around) and lied to me and treated me like a complete moron while basically holding my car hostage. So yeah, safe to say I will never set foot in this dealership again, and neither should you unless you have tons of cash and don't value your time and money and don't mind being treated like an idiot.

People working at the service department underestimate people's mind. 1st i got 2 different prices for labour from 2 different ladies. 2nd i wanted to replace a SINGLE 2" by 3" engine mount and the lady asked for freaken 3 hours of labour for a single one piece engine mount..wow This is a total rip off. Interacting with the service department has been strange and frustrating. After leaving my car with Honda last month for a simple air bag recall, I returned to find my key remote broken. After calling on 5 separate occasions (and never receiving a call back) to check the status of Honda's decision of how to handle the issue, I was finally told to just "come in and ask for Susan" who is the service manager. Upon meeting with her, she explained there was "no way Honda damaged they key" because they barely touch them when cars are with Honda for service and leave the keys in the ignition at all times. After dismissing the situation, she proceeded to explain to me all of the ways I could have broken it in the past and how due to the way it was broken, there was no way it could have happened recently.

Truly confused by this interaction, I continued to offer numerous times to just pay for whatever it costs to replace in order to move on. I was told that Honda would cover the cost of the labor if I paid $60 for the key and I agreed. I was told it would take 20-30 minutes and be all set. I waited over 2 and a half hours. After an hour and a half I asked to check on the status and offered to leave and come back later-- that it was no problem and that I just was wondering. I was met with "you have to ask the manager directly and see what she says" and "leave if you want". After hours, I am finally called and told "it's $90, not $60". And at that time, I had no wish to be put in yet another situation that forces me to look like I'm just complaining. Putting customers in these situations is unbelievable. I really have no words for the entire experience interacting with 5+ employees and one sales manager over the course of a month. I won't return and wouldn't recommend this Honda location.

Stopped at your facility after visiting my daughter at Harvard and realized there was an issue with the tire gauge reading 3 malfunctions. My regular HONDA service group is in Fairfield county Connecticut and I was on my way to Maine that day.
Your people were very courteous and took a look, did a multipoint inspection and even washed the car. Not my normal service experience at all.
Your waiting room was very comfortable as well.

I just signed my third lease with Honda. This was my second lease with Herb Chambers in Boston, however. My sales consultant, Keith Banks-Obanor, was very professional and, most importantly, flexible. I am on a very tight budget and Keith was understanding of this from the start. That being said, we were able to come up with a plan that I felt truly comfortable with and Keith went above and beyond to make this happen. I feel strongly that I got a really good, aggressive deal. Keith and his lovely assistant, Cathy, were both very personable and friendly. More than anything, this made my experience enjoyable. It was nice to be able to have a serious conversation regarding my financial needs while also being able to enjoy each other's company. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others and plan on going back there when my next lease is up.

Sold my 92 year old mom, who is sharp, still working, and still driving, a 2014 Cadillac with ~ 40K miles on it. Barely six months in it needed $1000 of repairs for brakes and cooling system. The touch screen stopped working also, this will cost another $1200. Two recalls issued so far on the car since she purchased also. Total lemon. HEY HERB! Fix this. Taking advantage of an old lady is not cool.

UPDATE May 30 2019...
My mother's car was in repair shop for two months. She just got it back. They gave her a loaner car, but it took forever to resolve all this. She paid for the new brakes and cooling repairs ($947), but did not want to also pay for the touch screen. First the dealership tried to negotiate my mom down to $600 for the touch screen repair ...she refused. Then they agreed to honor their brand integrity and repair the touch screen at no charge. Just when she was due to get the car back, they called to tell her they found yet another new and mysterious "brake problem" that, what a coincidence, would cost about $500 to repair. This was purportedly a "failure of vacuum system" which left brakes with no power. Funny, they had just repaired the brakes at full cost. Ultimately, after a lot of stressful back and forth, in which they refused to give her her car back unless she paid more, she agreed to pay another $188.77 for some new parts installed, but refused to pay any more labor. At that point the dealer relented and accepted this, and returned her car.This has consumed my family's time for several months. Other family members in NH and MA have been Herb Chambers customers but I am not sure they will return.

We are new to New England and always traded a vehicle for a new one about every three years. The one exception was an aging 2006 Jeep commander. We went to Herb Chambers of Boston to take a look at a mini cooper. It was soon obvious that this car was not going to fit our needs. We then walked over to the Honda showroom (same dealership). That s when we met salesperson, Eric Poulson . We had in mind to purchase a NEW vehicle. Eric listened to our story and showed us a few models that fit our descriptive needs. He was very courteous and knowledgeable about the Honda models and how each one could work for us. We finally decided on a 2014 Honda CR-V AWD. Eric suggested that our previous pattern of getting a new car every three years would be better served with a three year lease instead Lower payments, new car, full warranty. Eric worked very hard to get us in the CR-V. We used our Jeep as a trade in (down payment) and we negotiated until the deal was done. Eric was very instrumental in the process. He personally contacted our insurance agent and went the extra mile to deliver on this deal. I have nothing but high praises for the Herb chambers Boston Dealership would defiantly return in another in three years to lease another!

I recently leased a new 2020 Honda CR-V from Herb Chambers Honda in Boston. First-time customer at this dealership. The negotiated deal was fair and painless. They did not try to lease me something I did not need and when I told them my budget the first price they gave me was already at that number. I was pleased. After I signed the lease, there was an issue getting me into the car in a reasonable amount of time due to a paperwork mishap. I was extremely frustrated, but the dealer and the general manager were very professional in coming up with a solution to the issue that got me in the car sooner than expected. Job well done by them. I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone and I will be going back to them for my next car in a few years.

Traded emails with the "Internet Sales Manager" Had my pricing on one model that was due in to dealership in a bout a week, but I wanted to come in, test drive a different model and get my trade evaluated. I made an appointment for 6:00 PM. ISM said she would make time for me at that time. She "Looked forward to meeting me."
I got to dealership at 5:58 PM. Asked for ISM. She was not there, but another woman came by. She passed me to another gentleman, who went to view my "folder." He came back 5 minutes later and passed me back to the prior woman who had greeted me shortly after arrival. We say down and I explained what I had already set up with ISM. She went to get a car ready for me to drive. 20 minutes later she has one. I asked for second time since I arrived who would be evaluating my car. She walks back into the dealership, disappears for 5 minutes and comes back and says mo one is available. "Let's take the test drive." Or I can make an appointment and come back tomorrow? What a waste of 90 minutes of my time. I had recently moved to Boston and my prior dealer was farther away then I wanted to deal with for purchasing Hondas, which I do every 24 months.
BTW, three days later and not a single follow up email/phone call to apologize for wasting my time. Thanks for nothing Herb Chambers Honda! I won;t be coming in again anytime soon. Stay away if you prefer not to have your time wasted.

My friend and I are graduate students, and we had a budget. We went to other dealerships prior to this one, but we had the best service here. Look for Peter Ding the sales agent. He is very helpful and reliable. Instead of trying to just sell as other dealerships would do, he listened to our opinions. He helped us find the perfect car we want within a few hours. This place is awesome, AND thanks so much Peter!!

Worst Customer service I have ever experienced at a dealership.Front desk lady and the managers were very rude.Looked like I was not buying a car rather came to a grocery store where nobody was interested. Secondly, they messed up with the car fax, the I one checked and the car I drove were different, I even paid the money for the certified car and when I asked for the portfolio (after asking many times) what I see is 2 accidents been reported on the car fax. Ridiculous..Overall, wont suggest anyone to buy car from Herb Honda Boston.

Took her time to look around the internet , car lot , & sister companies for a similar car . Knew a lot about what she was talking about regarding the vehicles , credit , best way to obtain one . When I made the appointment to have my oil change, the person told me I needed to give her the VIN number of my car, which I didn't have on hand and told me to recall when I did, why? Couldn't I just give my name and have them look it up that way? When I did recall I was told it would take "About an hour". I was able to make the appointment for the day and time I wanted. When I arrived I was then told the wait was about 2 hours now. But it turned out to be a 3 hour wait. I realize they must be busy and it was more than just an oil change, but still, 3 hours? Way too long.

They really take care of you over there and do their best to make your appointment go as smoothly and easily as possible. I usually schedule my appointments with Tony Y. and he's the best. He always gives me coupons when he can and if an emergency comes up and I didn't schedule an appointment, he always fits me in. You can't go wrong with this dealership.
