I just drove away with my new car! I worked with Victor who was fun, informed and had a great relaxed style. He made the car shopping process an easy and stress-free experience for me. Thanks for all your help Victor! And thanks also for the pen!

Herb Chambers did a wonderful service and suggested me on changing the filters and brake pads as they are worn out. Thanks for keeping me drive safe in the upcoming snow season.
Alexander was one of the most helpful service representatives I've ever worked with. He was easy to talk to, patient, and thoughtful, and I'm so appreciative of his help.
I just purchased my third car from Herb Chambers Honda in Boston from Patrick. While Patrick was patient and friendly, my overall experience was horrible. I traded in a 2012 Accord that was leased and despite being a third time returning customer and 10,000 miles under the mileage that I previously paid for, I was given no money for the lease trade in. As I was not fully informed and thought I had to return the lease from where I purchased it, I continued with the deal. I purchased a 2012 Acura RDX. When I received the car, it was getting dark so I didn't notice at first how filthy it was. There was old food and crumbs in the console, food stuck to the shifter, the radio was full of dirty finger prints, and the mats were ratty looking. I then discovered that there was about a 1/4 of a tank of gas, the oil life was at 40%, and the wipers did not work very well on the passenger side of the windshield. I called Patrick to complain about this and while he apologized and offered to clean the car again, I would have to waste my time and come back for it. He offered to buy new mats that I would have to pay for and I was told that I would have to pay the last month of my lease and Honda would reimburse me. However, when I got off the phone with him, a follow up was not confirmed and none of this was put into place. I was also told that now it might be possible for me to get money back for the mileage I didn't use on my lease but Honda would have to be contacted for this. It has been 2 days and I haven't been contacted for any of this. I still have a dirty car. All of this was preventable and I feel that I was not valued as a returning customer. I feel taken advantage of and treated like I don't matter and I will NEVER be returning to Honda again to purchase a car. My latest impression of Honda is that they do not have any customer loyalty and do not value the product that they put out. I will also be sharing my story with friends and family. I am highly disappointed.
I went in fearful due to my credit but the sales reps made me feel very at ease and in less than 48 hrs they were able to get me approved with a nice car. Eric and Patrick were awesome and reassuring! Thank you for the help, comfort and peace of mind to finally own a car. Patrick even went out of way to come pick me up to go sign the paperworks to finalize the process.
Went for service. Was told 1.5 hr. After 2 hr the car had not been taken in.
Received car 3.5 hr later with large swath of gray material across passenger side door ending with zigzag on one end. After this was buffed, a linear dent was evident along the path of the swath with 8 zigzag scratches at the end.
Service manager denied this could have happened there (it was not there at drop off). I asked for the damage marking diagram from drop off. They could not find it in the stack of processed checked-out car forms. They found it with one of the mechanics in the back. The sheet now included a zig zag drawn where the new scratch is.
They damaged, tampered with evidence, and lied. BEWARE!
I predict the response to this will be for Nick to copy/paste the standard reply that he is disappointed that we weren't able to deliver you the 5-star service you deserve. I'm eager to better understand what happened and where we can improve.
You weren t so eager the three times that I came by looking for you in person, on three different dates.
I recently traded in a vehicle for a 2018 Honda CRV Touring. My inquiry was via online and the online sales rep Jay was prompt and attentive to my interests. He set up for a time for me to come in and see and drive a vehicle, as well get mine appraised. I was introduced to Sam who was very personable and was able to fill me in about the car and dealership, while I waited for a sales rep to assist me. My sales rep Keith Banks was very knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time necessary to understand my wants and needs and was respectful of my time. I was offered water or ice cream many times by many working there. This dealership very much has a customer conscious staff. There was no pressure throughout the process. After the expected haggling on price for the new vehicle and my trade in, we agreed upon an equitable deal. I picked up the vehicle a bit less than a week later and was pleased with the hand off process and the time Keith, and Sam spent with me, as well as a visit from one of the managers ,Jose. All in all I would say it was a very good experience and I was pleased with the interactions of all involved. We can all improve and one area for improvement I suggest is on setting and maintaining customer expectations throughout the process. I was promised a specific exterior and interior color, however when I picked up the vehicle, it had a different interior color. Not the end of the world, as it was another color I was open to, but my suggestion would be to ensure the customer knows that type of change, before they come in to pick up the car to set proper expectations and to allow for a pleasing pickup experience. This is the second car I have purchased at this dealership, where this type of thing has happened. Again, not the end of the world, but an apparent area for improvement at the dealership. I would purchase from Herb Chambers Honda of Boston again, very much in part to the people I dealt with in this transaction. I'm very happy with my purchase and purchase experience.
After sitting for 6 hours my problem is still not solved, I just haven't made it back to see if you guys know exactly what the problem is and rectify it....
I have a express service card (express service oil change with complimentary Multi-point inspection-no appointment necessary ). Today I went to the service center at 1:55pm to do oil change of my CRV. Due to the seven people who are ahead from me, they are not taking any more customers. I showed them the express card which I received by mail from them. While I was talking with the receptionist One of serveice advisors came and told me we can take your appointment like hair salon but we can not cut your hair. I felt that maybe I am in wrong place for showing this card. On this card it s clearly mentioned no appointment necessary. If this card has no value for herb chamber s employees, they should not send to the customers and put them in embarrassing situations. And I still wonder if People in the Hair Salons and Cars in Car Services are the same????!!!!!
I went to go check out two vehicles. I couldn't really make a decision at the time. I decided to not buy that day. Since then I've received a phone call or an email from them every day. It's getting to the point of harassment.Even though I have unsubscribed from their mailing list they keep reaching out to me. I've had to block their numbers and email address. I will never recommend this place to anybody.
We just returned to Honda Boston for a car inspection for our 2013 Honda Civic LS, we had purchased a few days ago. Our sales rep Saurav Sherchan was great during the initial sale of the vehicle (he even went to the Heb Chambers storage-area a few times to retrieve various Civics for us to test-drive); but also helping us with the finalization of the purchase (floormats, touch-up paint (this is, after all, a used car for us), brake-light bulb, etc.) and Registration/Inspection. We would highly recommend his services to anyone looking to purchase a Honda at HerbChambers-Honda-Boston. Regards, E & L T.
Herb Chambers prides themselves on smart pricing for their used cars; however, this is not smart or reasonable by any means. After doing a fair amount of research and finally deciding on a car and location/s to choose Herb Chambers was high on the list. After doing the usual process of giving all our personal information and test driving, I was informed of their no-negotiations process. I must admit I thought the whole concept was ridiculous, negotiating is part of the process and the psychology of buying a car. You want to leave feeling good about your purchase and that you received the best deal, trusting a car salesman is not something our culture embraces unfortunately. This certainly came to light even after being told how their practices are the most reasonable and ethical in their industry. Having done all our research and looking at their site prior to trekking over, we saw the smart price and knew what to expect, or at least what they would be offering to start. The salesman completely lied and quoted their 'smart' price 500 dollars over the quote from the website. If that doesn't sound like a bait and switch or unethical process than they must think I'm an idiot. The whole experience was unpleasant and I would not recommend Herb Chambers to anyone planning on buying a car.
After researching around for cars within my budget range, my girlfriend and I had found that buying a Honda Fit was the best Fit for my situation (the pun wrote itself it looks like).
While originally we had scheduled to see "Felicia" she was busy at the time and so we were directed by the manager instead to work with Kenny Pierre. This turned out to work wonderfully.
Kenny is both personable and incredibly helpful. After describing to him our situation he was able to work with us to find the best solutions and to even match comparable prices that we had found at competitors. Furthermore he was able to pull things together incredibly smoothly and fast (for instance we wanted to test drive the Fit: set up within the half hour. We wanted to have the car as soon as possible: Kenny personally picked it up the very same day).
While normally I associate car buying as a tedious process, Kenny made it anything but. Overall a great, smooth as possible process.
Definitely my first choice to return to the day I need to look into purchasing another vehicle.
I have been using Herb Chamber's Honda for the past 2 years to service my car and the service has always been top of the line. All the staff is courteous and efficient. Thanks for taking such good care of my car!
I decided to go to Herb Chambers of Boston since it was close to where I lived. I had a really good, stress free car buying experience. I ended up buying a pre-owned Honda Civic for a good price and I also traded in my really old Honda Civic. Victor was my car sales rep, he was easy to talk to, easy to reach on the phone, and he wasn't pushy. I was looking at a few cars that I've seen online, you should tell them in advance which cars since they may be parked in different locations, or just expect that and go with the flow like I did. I was trying to decide on which car and Victor was patient and knowledgable but again not pushy and he gave me good advice to help me decide what's best for me. He also didn't try to sway me on the most expensive car, I'm happy with my car and I would recommend anyone I know to go to Victor. He really does try to help you and he'll go out of his way to do so, he's a good guy.
A couple weeks ago I walked into Herb Chambers Honda looking for a car for my parents but had no intentions of buying that day. I was approached by Patrick for assistance but told him I only wanted to browse around which he allowed me to do happily, but he was standing by to answer any questions I may have had. He was able to help me where I needed and ultimately showed me the two vehicles that best fit the needs of my parents. I left that day and returned a week later with my parents for a test drive and made the purchase of one of the vehicles he recommended, a Honda CRV. He was very helpful and was very informative on the safety standards the engine performance of the vehicle. It was one of the better experiences I have had at a car dealership. Thanks Patrick Comerford.
We just arrived in the US from Australia and Alex ("Papa") from Herb Chambers helped us hugely in securing a lease on a new Honda for our family. We cannot thank him enough for all his help and assistance. We love the car and would recommend Herb Chambers.
Our experience at Herb Chambers Honda was totally positive, from our initial greeting from Mary Lopez through every stage, up to and including our post-purchase tutorial. We feel that Mary is outstanding in her knowledge of the vehicles we looked at, her enthusiasm for the product, thoroughly selling us on the Honda Passport without any uncomfortable pressure, and skillfully communicating both the car's features and the business details involved in the purchase. We thank you, and especially Mary Lopez, for a pleasant car-buying experience.
I worked with Sean to lease my new Honda Fit. He was awesome! Very friendly and seemed to care about me as a customer and about whether I was happy with the deal I got. If you are going to Herb Chambers Boston definitely work with him!
The finance department was very slow though. I watched lots of customers go back who came in after me. Which was frustrating.
Very good service and fast and Robert was super nice. Price was very reasonable and they gave me a ride. I like that they give the car a quick clean once service is completed and don't push for any extras/unnecessary work.
The total car buying experience left a smile on my face. Keith understood what I was looking for and found the appropriate car. Lascelles worked with me and found financing I could afford. Again, I m still smiling. Greg
I got an unexpected flat tire on a truly awful rainy day in Boston, and was lucky enough to be right near Honda. They took care of the problem and had me out in an hour, with truly great and attentive customer service!
In a profession where I've dealt with a lot of slimy people who are trying to up-charge me as much as possible/treat condescendingly because I'm a younger female shopper, I found everyone at Herb Chambers lovely! Jose was completely honest about all the additional fees and total cost. Whereas other dealers quoted me one price then claimed thousands of dollars of additional fees, he was straightforward and honest about the cost of the car. He treated me as an equal even over the phone, and genuinely wanted to get me the best deal possible.
