Never used service dept. before; had them attend to a manufacturer recall. Very polite and professional at drop-off. Susan took my info, said she'd call me later when it was ready and she did. Easy, no hassle experience. The young women receptionists who schedule appointments by phone need work -- lacked training, didn't know basic info on how to read the schedule or answer questions. Even failed to enter my car and contact info into the computer even though I gave it to her over phone.

This is my second time there to buy a used car. If you go there, ask Tylor to help you, he is very professional and helpful, definitely deserves a 5 star. I bought a Honda Accord 2013 with him. The car is in excellent condition and the price is very reasonable. He is friendly, patience, and willing to show different cars again and again upon your request in a very cold winter day. Thank you Tylor!! I had a very good experience!

A/C compressor was malfunctioning and so I brought my car in on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. My service advisor Sean was upfront and warned me that due to the long weekend, there may be delays in repairs but that they could diagnose the problem. I agreed and was pleased to find out 3 hours later that they found the problem and had parts on hand to fix my car that day. I dropped off my car at 9 am and had it ready by 5pm so I was relieved I didn't have to wait any longer or bring my car back.

Very professional and would recommend.

Easily the worst customer experience I ve ever had...

Easily the worst customer experience I ve ever had at any business, let alone a car dealership. The lease buyout was a nightmare due to lack of communication among staff departments regarding the status of my car. The car key was lost yet an employee still told me to pick the car up. An extra $2000 worth of repairs were attempted to be added to my loan due to lack of communication. Every time I interacted with a sales rep when emphasizing that I was on a budget, they would try to up-sell me at every opportunity. Honestly, part of the reason I bought out my lease was to avoid dealing with anyone from this dealership.

Also - no one wears a mask during covid times in case anyone was interested.

Thank you, Herb Chambers of Boston! Although there were hiccups along the way, both in and out of Herb Chambers' control, they constantly seemed to have a handle on the situation throughout my car buying process. I could not speak more highly of Chip, Donald and their runner, Deon. Being a young person just starting to branch out, having just bought a new home and being on a tight budget, Herb Chambers was absolutely willing to work with me to get to the price point I could not exceed. Not only did they do that, but they continually worked to my advantage whenever hiccups came along in the process. If something hindered me picking up the car on a specific day, they went above and beyond to make that up to me. They were always in constant contact to make sure I was kept up to date on any updates that I needed to know. As I said, I could not speak much more highly of them. Definitely check out Herb Chambers of Boston next time you are on the market!!

This summer my 12 year old Kia with 162,000 miles ...

This summer my 12 year old Kia with 162,000 miles blew an engine. I bought it used in NH and I still owed $2,000 on it. I m a single parent with good credit & a 650-Ish score with low income .. After calling half dozen dealerships in Mass & being told by all no interest In your car & we wouldn t get you approved, good luck . An aquatince refereed me to Herb Chambers Honda Boston dealership.
Not only did GM Tom take my dead KIA but he also gave me more money than I owed - and no they didn t play the trick of jacking up the price on what I bought to balance it out - I test drove 3 cars and settled on a 2014 KIA Soul. It came with no used car warranty and I chose not to purchase an extended OR GAP.
I took my new/used Soul home. Drove it 3,956 miles in 6 weeks. Blew the engine!! Mass warranty is 1,250 miles. I was nervous calling the dealership back. Service Mgr Susan sent a tow truck the next morning and called me 2 days later to tell me Jimmy the engine blew, you re well past your warranty & we are not obligated to do anything, but we WILL pay off your loan, we will not stick you with this car and this problem. You can either walk away or you can come in and we ll sell you another car. I was shocked but pleased I didn t have to deal with the stress of it.
I went back and decided to buy a much newer car 2017 Ford Escape Titanium. LOVED IT for the 3 weeks I had it until someone totaled it!
Yup-can t make this stuff up.
Didn t even make a payment and here I am for the third time this year with No car again! Commerce is now paying the new loan off and they told me we value the car more than your loan and your loan also consists of all your fees and GAP and a 90,000 extended warranty?! Wow you got a good deal on that car, and you ll get a check for the difference. You are very lucky the value is above what you owe.
So back to HC I go! Lol. I called GM Tom on Friday and told him.. I also showed him a car that HC in Braintree has that I want (same car) he said I ll have it here Monday I ll see you then.

Went back Monday & the car was waiting for me. To make the payment & deal the same they lowered the price $1500..
There is no way on earth I d ever buy a car at another dealership ever again. These people went out of their way for me THREE times now and they didn t have to. And each time they made it happen within a few hours in one day! And yes each time that place was packed full of people buying cars .

They deserve a lot more than 5 stars.
And I am NOT an easy customer to please and/or deal with.

Just leased a 2019 Honda Civic and honestly couldn't be happier. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. They were upfront about all the pricing(including fees) and made the whole process quick and stress free. Even with the new location, I definitely recommend it.

My wife and I went to Herb Chambers Honda for a used vehicle. It was definitely a pleasure working with Hasan Reid. He was nice and patient to listen to our requests and to answer numerous questions of us as first-time car buyers. Unfortunately we did not find our car there. But overall it was a very nice experience compared with all other dealerships we have visited. I would recommend Herb Chambers Honda and especially Hasan Reid if you are looking for a car.

If I could rate this dealership more than 5 stars, I would. It was my very first time purchasing a car and I'm happy I settled with this dealership! I've been to a few other places before this and unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the customer service, but this dealership was awesome. I was approached right away, and was able to explore all my options, and ultimately I was able to find my perfect car at a great price. Definitely need to give the sales consultant, Donald Jean-Charles and the manager (wasn't able to get his name) great praise since they dealt with me with patience and professionalism. Definitely recommend coming here if you were looking to purchase a car! You won't be disappointed.

I was under the I,press ion that when any service is due on the car, the car was cleaned and washed before being picked up, it was bad enough to be inconvenience with no car because of your battery. I have never been car shopping before and when I simply asked for a price quote, I was pressured into signing a lot of documents, which I found out later were to run my credit. When I kept asking why they were asking for this information, Peter kept saying it was standard practice and never mentioned what the purpose was.
Additionally, they gave me a higher price than all their competitors and kept stating that competitors would absolutely not have lower prices. Very dishonest business that will lie and mislead to earn a sale.

Eric made sure everything went smoothly, efficiently, the price was excellent, there were no delays, he put no pressure on me at all, and knew all the information there was to my questions. I'll be honest, I generally do not have a great experience with Herb Chambers of Boston. I've gone in for service in the past and waited 45 minutes for my car after being told it was ready and being brought right down. When leasing my new vehicle this past May I waited 4 hours to sit with Finance. I was given 4 free oil changes but would have preferred to be told to come back to meet with Finance. This past time was actually not bad. Susan Moore was very helpful, kept me informed and made sure I was taken care of. I really appreciated that from her. Thanks!

I just want to make sure that five stars is actually for the sales person Victor Olivares. I bought a used Honda Civic from this place. Before I went Herb Chambers, I did some research and I went to couple other dealerships. I knew that I was going to pay little extra, but I think it worth it. You do not have to worry about going mechanic next day. I told Victor exactly what I need the car for and my budget. He was very professional and honest. He did not tried to push any sales or the cars he wants to sell. He definitely made the process much easier. He showed me my options and I chose the one that worked best for me. After picked up my car, he called me if I liked the car or have any concerns, he personally take care of some of the concerns I had about the car. The only negative things I will say about this place, it is the finance department and 300$ preparation fee for the paper work. I was not told about this fee until I noticed it. The finance department will try very hard to sell you extra warranties and other extras, if your are financing, they are getting the money from your finance company, you might get some of these extras from a third party without paying the interest you would pay to the finance company because they take whole amount upfront and added to your monthly payment. Over all, I am happy about my purchase and Thank you Victor for the help and your honesty!

If I could give this business 0 stars I would! We have a leased CRV that died on the side of the road, and had it towed to this location as it was the closest. We had an issue with the supposedly free roadside service that never showed, but that is another story. When the car was brought in with my elderly mom (driver) we were rudely told that they can't take care of it the same day. We never requested that to be done to begin with.
We were told we will get a call in the morning after the diagnostics have been run. Next day, no call. I called at around 1pm and after a lengthy wait and having been "disconnected" once, was told it is just now going through diagnostics. The service representative said she will call back when that is done. No call back for hours. I call at 4pm, another long wait. The representative finally comes on and tells me that it was just finished. I asked why no one called when the diagnostic test was done, I was told we provided the wrong number to call back. Strange since I gave my number to her get into my account to begin with. All of these conversations were being done in a condecending and unprofessional manner. I subsequently spoke to the manager who kept telling me that I should be happy that the repair was free (on a leased vehicle that malfunctioned due to factory defect) as if they did me a favor. I tried to tell him that the way they speak to and treat customers is abhorrent and was told that he doesn't think so. I said we have been loyal honda customers and this experience has turned us away. He chuckled and said he doesn't think so.
The lease on this CRV is up soon and we will not be getting a Honda. I own a Pilot that I wanted to upgrade to a new one, again this will no longer be the case. Sadly this customer service experience has been so terrible that after 4 Honda purchases we will be taking our business elsewhere. Sadly the unintelligent employees of this dealership simple cannot realize that turning people away from Honda will inevitably result in losing their jobs.

He helped me get exactly what I wanted without any kind of undue pressure at all. I love the car, which is a considerable upgrade from my previous car, also a Honda fit, which I also loved. It was a good experience altogether. I would certainly be happy to buy a car from Eric again.

My experience at Herb Chambers Honda in Boston, MA was Worst. unbearable I purchased a Pre-owned car from this location, next day i found few issues. i went to them ,they told they are not responsible after the purchase, no one is responding even the respect sales manager. then i went to some other service center to change tires and to repair the issues. I am totally un satisfied with the service, response and their unprofessional ethics . My personal iam suggesting don't purchase pre-owned cars/new cars from Herb Chambers Honda in Boston.
even though i told them i will give bad feedback they haven't care about my purchase issues on the second day of purchase.

Absolutely terrible. Extremely disorganized. Almost 3 months, and I'm still waiting for my title! I've called 10+ times, but I keep getting lies from the sales managers. No results, no follow-ups to keep me posted either. I flew in from WI to buy a car that wasn't even ready even though it had been for sale for 3 weeks, and we had worked it out by phone 4 days in advance!! The title wasn't even on site. Because they bungled one thing after another, I had to get a hotel. I had to nag them to pay for it, and then they shorted me 48 cents. It's only 48 cents, but it's the prinicple of the thing. I don't know how they sell anything. They make it hard for people to give them money! However, when they take the money, you can expect the service to end.

Great buying experience! My wife and I were looking to trade-in our car for a new Honda Civic. After going to every car dealership in the area, we arrived at Herb Chambers Honda thirty minutes before closing. Hasan Reid was gracious enough to stay more than an hour after they closed so that we could get the best deal. Hasan was very friendly, he made sure we understood everything we signed, and ensured we were comfortable with the car we chose before moving forward. Very smooth buying process, and if you have to wait just grab some ice cream from the showroom. If you're in the market for a new Honda, I highly recommend you visit Hasan and the team at Herb Chambers Honda!

I dropped my 2016 Odyssey to get noise checked. There was noise coming from under the car when going over bumpy road, noise front suspension and knocking noise from steering wheel and a recall. I spend multiple days to over these issues.
It s a brand new car which I got at the same dealership and has just 12000 miles on it.
I felt a little put off by Herb Chambers, the service desk takes the call and I can t never reach to the Service Advisor. The case of open and I never heard a call from the dealership. I have alteast called them 7 times in last 4 weeks but no luck.
There was a recall fix on middle seats that Herb Chambers did and poor experience with that as well. The seats were not put the same way that it was earlier.

Had a great experience at Herb Chambers at Honda. Met with Fabian the sales executive and the Alex the Sales Manager. Both were awesome and did everything they could to get me on new vehicle super fast. Without must hassle of a regular dealership.

Reason I'm inclined to give then 4 stars instead of 5 is just:
I wish they have given few initial complimentary service coupons which every other dealership gives you on a new vehicle. But other than that it was nice experience.

I went here to fix a break problem of my car. Just as any other dealership, the service department charges more compared to going to a local shop to fix your car.

Just in terms of the service, I think they provided good customer service. They sold the parts that I ordered from them to other customer. They did make it up by only charging me for the cost of the part without charging me any labor cost. I would recommend the service department.

I recently purchased a certified pre owned Honda element through herb chambers Honda in Boston, ma. With prior experience of buying a car, it has always been a long and painful process taking up my entire day of waiting around, being told that someone would be right with me to help, but this experience was different. I arrived at the herb chambers dealership, they had the car ready to test drive for me within a few minutes, and with the help of Steve Roach, my sales representative, the process of buying a car was extremely fast and easy. It wasn't at all what I expected. it was much better. Steve was not your typical pressuring sales man who just want to make a sale and move on to the next guy, leaving you waiting in a lobby while moving on to someone else to sell a car to. He was very informative about any questions I had, and made the car buying process quick and painless. I would recommend him and the herb chambers dealer to anyone who is interested in buying a car.

I was in the market to lease a new car, so I recently visited the Herb Chambers Honda location in Boston. I specifically went to this location based on the fact that there is supposed to be VIP concierge services/special pricing offered through my employer. I made an appointment, and was greeted by their internet sales manager, who then assigned me to a brand-new salesman. He was very nice, but to no fault of his own inexperienced.

When we sat down to discuss pricing, sales manager Jose joined the conversation. His first offer was an outrageous price quote that ended up being a significantly higher down payment and $150 more per month than what the car was worth. After FOUR hours, we finally had negotiated a deal, only to find out we were not discussing the same car. He took it upon himself to make the deal on the only car they had in their inventory, which was gray, rather than the blue that I told him I wanted from the very beginning. Bait and switch much? After another hour of waiting, he finally agreed to locate the blue one I wanted at another dealership.

At this point, after so much frustration and aggravation, I was feeling wary and uneasy and wanted to take a day to think about it. He left me his card and told me to call him once I made my decision.

After thinking about it I returned 2 hours later to move forward with the deal we had previously agreed upon. I was very rudely told that the offer was no longer valid on the blue car, and if I wanted that price, I HAD to take the gray one. The same color that was secretly pushed on me in our earlier conversations. Not once before I left earlier, was I told that any portion of the deal expired at my leaving. I left under the impression, as told and promised by Jose that I could think about it for a day and would be able to have the same deal on the car in the color I wanted. When I told them I was not interested in the gray car. I was then pressured with the notion this was a today only deal and it was this car or nothing. I said no thank you and walked out.

Being that I was supposed to receive VIP treatment at this dealership, I can only imagine what kind of service they offer to an un-referred customer. This experience was a total waste of my time and I will never again step foot in an Herb Chambers dealership, nor would i recommend them to anyone else.

After complaining to the VIP service, I received a call from their GM, Joel apologizing for what had happened. He mentioned that he was there that evening and was aware of what was happening but did not intervene at the time. He recognized that it was wrong and should never have happened. He offered to honor the deal, however, I would be crazy to do business with them after being treated this way.

This horrible experience does have a happy ending, I visited Honda Cars of Boston and was able to get the exact car, in the exact color I wanted with total transparency and excellent customer service.

I recently inquired about a used car that they listed on their website. They gave me a call promptly to set up an appointment to view the car for the next day, confirming shortly before my appointment that the car was still available. The sales associate that I worked with was friendly and accommodating - he gave me plenty of time to look over the car on my own and was more than happy to take me on a test drive with the car. Overall, the viewing experience was great.

Satisfied, I expressed interest in purchasing the car to find out that the dealership has a policy against negotiating the price of their used cars. The listing price was a bit over the car's actual KBB value but it was within my budget and I was eager to end my car search so I agreed. The sales associate took my information and began assembling paperwork for me to sign. This part seemed to take a long time, with the sales associate frequently leaving his desk for long periods of time while I waited for him to tell me the next step in the process.

Finally, after I had already completed some of the paperwork and nearly 3 hours after I original arrived to see the car, the sales associate brought his manager over to tell me that they had made a mistake and had already sold the car to someone else. I left, frustrated and having wasted an afternoon.

The next day, I got an email from the sales manager hoping that my visit was "nothing short of amazing" and asking for feedback. I told him what happened and his response was simply "wow, I am sorry to hear about that" and an offer to keep an eye out for similar cars.

Overall this was a very unprofessional mistake by what seemed to be an otherwise reputable dealer that left me frustrated and disappointed. Because of this incident, and their apathy toward resolving it, I doubt I will shop at an Herb Chambers dealership in the future and I cannot recommend them to others.

I needed to get a state inspection for my car shortly after moving to Boston and thought that I couldn t go wrong with getting the inspection done at a nearby dealership. However, when I walked out to get my car after paying inside, I noticed that the front part of my driver s side handle was broken, even though it had not been mentioned to me before when I was inside paying. I was able to open the door, but the front of the handle was no longer connected to the door. I went back inside to talk to the customer service representative that had helped me, and she brought the manager out to take a look. The manager was very abrasive and disrespectful. I showed her the broken handle, and she suggested that the handle had already been broken when the car was dropped off because the plastic where the handle broke appeared dirty . I proceeded to tell her that the car was older (2006), but I had never had an issue with the handle before nor did it seem like it was on the brink of breaking. This went on for a few minutes, then she suggested gluing the handle back on, which I agreed to allow the dealership to do. After waiting for the handle to be glued, the mechanic told me that the manager had said if the glue didn t hold, they would help me replace the handle.

The next week, the handle broke again, so I returned to the dealership. I spoke with the customer representative and she told me that she would look for a handle, and I could expect a call the following week from the manager. Unsurprisingly, I never received a call, so a week later, I went back to the dealership to check in. I was quoted $175 for an original Acura handle with no guarantee that labor would be covered. However, after doing some research online and calling the local Acura dealership, I discovered that an original handle should be $125-130. Thus, it seemed like the dealership was proactively trying to cover labor costs in the quoted price for the handle in case I argued that labor should be covered. It felt like the dealership was trying to take advantage of me every step of the way, and as a result, I decided to avoid contacting them to replace my handle. Thanks to the Honda dealership, a state repair that should ve costed me a total of $35 ended up costing at least $160.

Update: The Honda dealership ended up covering the labor costs for installing my door handle. Joel was friendly and quick to resolve the issue.

The customer service agent said it will take 2 hours to do the preventative maintenance. After 3 hours, I stopped by for getting my car back. Their response: it will take one more hour. 4 hours!!! for a 2-hours service and I was not given any update or whatsoever until I started complaining. This is not called customer service .

They all helped me right away and explained to me in detail what might have been wrong with my car and what they would do to fix it. It s been great since and i m very thankful.

This was a very easy and nice experience and not at all what I was expecting. The experience and credit goes to Trevor, Tyler and Jose.I went in yesterday to look at a Honda Civic prepared but not sure I would actually purchase the car. I had a phone conversation the night before with Ahmed and about 45 minutes later Jose called to thank me for taking the time to come in the next day. I arrived and met Trevor Veerana. He was very easy to speak to and was not the high pressure I was expecting for my last horrific car buying experience. Trevor asked me all questions that were pertinent to see. I told him I wanted to see the Civic sport (thought that was the SI) he explained all the options. Then he took a look at what he had color wise etc. He took me to drive the SI which I loved , the drove a base model. I liked the SI and did not ask to see more although he offered. We looked at prices. I told him what I wanted and he came back with an offer. I asked then to see the base model price. The difference was something like 30-40 a month so I went with the SI. Trevor did not pressure me at all to make any type of decision. I think I was pressuring him more to move on it quicker. He was extremely knowledgeable and got things moving fast. Tyler the finance consultant was also great. We did not need much time he was direct to the point answered questions without any prodding for a decision or changes and got it all done promptly.After all the RMV and everything was done we had a brief conversation with Jose where I expressed my pleasure that the whole experience although long was relatively painless and nice. I recommend anyone looking at a car to consider Herb Chambers. If you are in the market for a Honda reach out to Trevor Veerana, Tyler or Jose. Really everyone person I spoke to at Herb Chambers was great but I highly recommend these 3.

I have been a customer for many years at the Boston Herb Chambers. Service has always been up to now, the best! My last experience left me wondering if I want to change my allegiance to a closer dealership. I have told Nick my complete story, too many gliches to explain again, including poor communication on repairs, improper recognition of strut parts creating confusion, an unexplained scratch on vehicle that I mentioned a number of times to different staff with no follow through. etc. etc. As a positive experience, my husband worked with Patrick Comerford and we were more than pleased with his professionalism and willingness to make a smooth transaction on a new lease. Wish I could have made this a 5 star review but the above difficulties prevent this. Hopefully, your service can review this and provide changes that meet customer needs.

I was having issues with the electrical system on my 2004 Honda Accord this past Winter. Theresa of the Honda Service Center was incredibly helpful. She was a great point of contact between the technical team in the service center and myself the customer.

She listened and properly understood the problem with the car I was describing. She kept me in the loop as to what was going on with the car proactively and she worked with the technicians to diagnose and fix the problem. I highly recommend working with Theresa.

I brought this white honda accord 2014 two weeks ago but could not write the review about how great and helpful he was, due to my busy schedule.
