Recently visited hagerstown ford and was EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED... Tex Miller was the sales rep who was EXTREMELY rude! test drove 1 vehicle and he wanted us to jump on purchasing it. I DIDN'T like the color of the vehicle nor the way it drove. started looking at a second and he said "you won't find one like the other but whatever thanks for coming have a great day" and walked away. extremely unprofessional and WILL NOT be returning I recommend BOB RUTH FORD IN DILLSBURG, PA and there REPS!

We were met by Travis who let us drive several used trucks. He was patient and informative regarding all. We found the sales team to be open and honest. I feel we got a fair deal on the f150 we drove off the lot.

The process of closing the deal took a long time. If this could be streamlined I would rate Hagerstown Ford a full five stars.

I used the VIP link to send my info to Hagerstown Ford. I was contacted by a sales agent within an hour after getting the automated email. Hannah contacted me and we proceeded with some Q&A and then on to an appraisal of my trade via pictures and necessary documents. We came to a deal on numbers and I traveled almost 3 hours to see the truck I was buying in person. When I arrived the truck was out front ready for me to test drive. Once I was sure I wanted the truck we moved inside to do paperwork. All paperwork was in order and was exactly what was discussed in text and phone calls the day prior. There were no last minute surprises or negotiations on price or trade value. It was the smoothest transaction I ever completed buying a truck. I was there about 1 hour. I was offered to have the truck delivered to me even though I was 3 hours away. I wasn't certain what to expect so I chose to make the drive. Knowing what I know now I would trust them making a deal and taking delivery without seeing a vehicle in person. I highly recommend this dealership and Hannah as a point of contact. I will definitely use them for future purchases.

I had my eyes on a Honday Odyssey they had in their used lot. I currently have an older model and LOVE it so I pull in and 5 mins later I'm driving it with Ryan Wood. To my surprise he knew everything about it, as I thought Ford guys only know Ford. They had me in and out in 2 hours and called me two days later with a better rate. Definitely go see Ryan for a great experience.

The service department is a joke.. and customer service just as bad.. Service manager Tim was rude and talking over me on the phone and when i went to speak hung up on me and i had to call back.. i ended up picking up my car to take it to Frederick Ford who knew what my issue was.. I had the problem recorded on my smart phone serveral times and nobody wanted to see the video.. they treated me like i knew nothing.. will never deal with them again as long as Tim is their manager. I only gave them a 1 rating because there is not a 0..

While driving my 2017 Ford Escape I picked up a piece of metal in one f my tires. On Monday morning I took my vehicle to Hagerstown Ford to have the tire repaired or replaced. I was told they couldn t repair the tire and that I would have to replace all four tires. (My tires only had 14000 miles on them). When I questioned this I was told because the vehicle was all well drive new tires measure 11/32-12/32 the original tires were
7/32 and there can only be a difference 3/32 or damage will occur to PTU (4 wheel drive unit) and if I decided to only replace one tire I would have to sign a statement that I chose this option and that if there was ever a problem with the PTU my warranty company would fight me on repairing this unit. I do have this in writing and I showed my brother and he said he wants to see this in writing from Ford. $1000.00 later and I m afraid if I get another flat tire I would have to replace all the tires again-

I had an incredible experience at Hagerstown Ford. We came in looking for an addition to our company fleet vehicle.
Hannah, our sales person, was knowledgeable and fair. Guided me to the perfect truck and gave us an incredibly fair deal.
We worked with Mike, the finance team, and provided us great offer to extend the warranty to ensure that we minimized potential maintenance cost in long run.
Overall I m extremely satisfied with our experience and purchase.
Can t thank the Hagerstown Ford team enough for bending over backwards to ensure we had the right truck at a fair price.

Pre-Owned Department

My experience with the team here has been far from pleasurable. Charles from the department greeted me as expected however didn't quite have the attitude I came to expect from most dealerships. The interaction felt more forced and that he was there more or less for a paycheck. Wasn't quite helpful in my search and not as knowledgeable about the products that are offered.

Nevertheless, I found a vehicle that caught my interest and wanted to work out a deal. Came back on a separate day with my trade in and started the process as usual. So far so good. He then proceeded to ask for information that I've provided multiple times during my first visit and the whole process started to feel very redundant and could have improved customer experience had he remembered to check his records.

The following situation is what has lead me to walk away. To preface what's to come next, I had every intention of purchasing the vehicle, the price was great and had a fantastic warranty, however my interaction with the next guy shows me the team here is not very well trained. As I have a trade in, I would need to have my vehicle inspected, which was perfectly okay and a very typical procedure. However, what is not typical, is the how the guy approached this. He walks up, sticks his hand out, not even introducing himself, and stares at me like I owe him money. Perhaps he was having a busy day and forgot his manners, so I introduce myself first. He says his name, which I can't recall at this point, and demands my keys. I asked if I could ride along and my question was met with this response: you have no business to ride along, I will be the only person driving the vehicle. Last I checked, the vehicle was still mine but his tone suggested otherwise. Rather than leave him alone with my keys, I walked. I don't see any reason I should not be able to ride in my own vehicle while someone else performs the inspection.

This experience has left me looking for alternatives and unless I can shown otherwise, I will not be returning. And let this be a lesson, if someone wants the keys to your vehicle, you better be in or next to the vehicle and don't let these people get their way. Who knows what they would do.

I may check out the New Car department sometime, and that may be a completely different experience. Until then, this has been my experience so far.

We had a great experience with Hagerstown Ford! Ryan Wood was our salesperson and we couldn t have been happier. The whole process was a breeze. I was able to get quick answers to my questions before we even arrived at the dealership. The two cars we wanted to see were even waiting and ready for us! We decided to make a purchase here after hours of searching elsewhere. The vehicle was great and so was the service! Ryan even took the time to follow-up with some of our questions after our purchase was made. I highly recommend this dealership.

Best experience ever buying a new vehicle. Salesman was upfront from the beginning and delivered as promised. My truck was beautifully detailed as I completed the paperwork. Salesman was knowledgeable about my truck and helped me set up my iPhones before I left. What can I add, the people are just awesome! I am definitely recommending this salesman and dealership to everyone.

I went through a different dealership before contacting hagerstown ford and was disappointed. I went through the whole process of back and forth through the chat and emails for some time only to eventually stop being responded to without all my questions being answered. Then i contacted hagerstown ford and got connected with Josh S. online while trying to purchase a new truck. He was helpful and very quick to respond to every email, text, and question i had. Even after some time of negotiating and him probably knowing i just wouldn't quite be able to afford the truck, he still contacted me to check again. I tried to tweak a few things and talked about money down and he explained where the price would be at and why. Even though we couldn't get a deal worked out it was an easy and pleasant experience. Thanks again to Josh S. for all the help!

This was the worst experience I ve ever had at a dealership. My wife and I bought two cars from them.When we left the dealership a check engine light came on in my wife s car(a BMW) and the seat heater on the driver side of my F150 stopped working. After multiple attempts to get in contact with them they finally answered and said to bring the BMW up and they would take a look at it. Prior to going up there I had someone scan the BMW and it said something about the intake. Also the charging port did not work. When I was up there the service tech tried to give me an estimate for over 1000$ which I declined. After expressing that these issues were present prior to us buying the car I was insulted and called mouthy by the service manager. Fast forward a month or two and we get a heavy rain fall and now the headlight isn t working. I take the car to get the headlight replaced and the shop I took it to says that the headlight is cracked and looked as if someone tried to use plastic J. Weld in the headlight.i called Hagerstown Ford and again was denied anything to right their wrong. If I could give it lower than a one star I would. They are the biggest con artist out there!! STAY AWAY!!

1 star is the lowest it will let me go .We bought a used vehicle a couple months ago and we got screwed on everything that was wrong with it.So if u buy a used car through hagerstown Ford make sure it is a 100 percent before u purchase it or you will be paying for everything out of pocket.I would recommend hagerstown ford used cars to nobody.They are the biggest joke around and very unprofessional .Who ever does the inspections should be turned in for fraud.

Service department told me my truck was old and that was the reason I had a check engine light on after I brought it to them for diagnostics. Ended up the mechanic broke a spark plug, but until I made a fuss, they weren't going to fix it. On the other side though, sales went above and beyond to assist me in getting a car for the night after finding my truck was worse than when I dropped it off for service.

This is only getting two stars because when I bought my 2013 ford focus, it was brand new and the sales and finance teams were absolutely amazing. I would give the sales crew 5 stars for sure. However, the service department is an entirely different ball game. Without chronicaling my entire long and frustrating history with the service department, I will say the assistant service manager Noel was rude and incompetent at best. I never once had a pleasant experience with him and it is entirely his lack of care for his customers that sent me looking for another ford service center. He was always disrespectful when I had to make appointments, never EVER followed up with calls when my car was in for any extended period of time, and was never really sure what was going on when I would call him for updates. When you talk to him, you get the feeling he is just trying to get your money and not actually trying to solve your problems. I don't usually write reviews for bad service, but this guy was slimy and rude and I was so happy to find another mechanic. I am sad to say I probably won't buy from Hagerstown Ford again, even though the sales department is wonderful, just because of the disrespectful nature of the service department.

I held my tongue whenever your establishment charged me $150 for troubleshooting my rear defog and you just told me it worked which means you charged me $150 to press the rear defog switch in the truck (by the way, it still doesn't work when it's cold). But it is entirely unsafe for your service department to crank their impact wrenches to 11 when applying the wheels to a vehicle. I was using my impact wrench today and could not get a single lug nut to budge on my front wheels(your department was the last to touch my wheels). After standing on my tire iron, I managed to loosen the lug nuts only to find that the wheel would not budge. I pulled, kicked and, finally hit the wheel with a rubber mallet approximately a dozen times to work it free. If I had not been at home but instead by the roadside during this problem, I would have been at the mercy of roadside assistance which should not be the case for a simple flat tire. I suggest you reevaluate your current shop practices to ensure that you're providing customers safely maintained vehicles.

Quick lane service was good but customer service overall is seriously lacking! I went in to get an oil change on my vehicle and had found out previously that I had a recall on it. When I went in I asked about it they said they'd have to look into it while I was there. While in there I also scheduled my husband's vehicle to come in for a service issue and at least that got taken care of but still no update from anyone about the recall on my vehicle! I ended up leaving and then found out that the date and time I scheduled my husband's vehicle service wouldn't work with his schedule so I tried to call in to change it. Receptionist transferred me to George's voicemail and I left a brief message. No call that day, no follow up calls at all! I understand they are busy but it would be nice to at least receive some type of response! My husband finally had to call 4 days later and was able to reschedule at last but, to me, that is HORRIBLE customer service! I guess I was spoiled as the Ken Grody Ford Dealership in California was always super busy all the time, but they NEVER EVER left a customer waiting on the update status of their vehicle, or never returned a call on the same day about any issues! Unless there's a recall that I absolutely have to take my vehicle here I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere for future services!

This service department is a JOKE!, took my car to them and told them the steering angle sensor was just replaced and it needed reset. After I had to burn a vacation day and 2 days of supposedly working on my car they call to tell me the steering sensor is bad and it needs replaced and there is no reset or calibration needed, even though 3 other dealers, Ford service site, ford forums say there is. And, they don't have the part, this service dept screwed me 2 years ago and I was dumb enough to think they may have changed. Don't waste your time like i did

My sales consultant was Ryan "Woody" Wood. He was great. There was some delay in getting the vehicle, and a 'glitch' in the reported car mileage, but all was resolved by Ryan and the dealership in a professional manner and to my satisfaction. It pays to have patience. I purchased a used commercial vehicle, and its prep was great. They threw on a couple of new tires, cleaned way beyond what I thought was possible, and was very happy with its delivery. Chris and Chey and finance were as professional and efficient as can be. Just an overall great experience at this dealership. I can see why they're so successful. Thank you Hagerstown Ford.

We bought a used 2019 Subaru Legacy from Hagerstown Ford in July 2020. The buying process was smooth and easy, however there were issues with the car that we not disclosed at purchase. I had my mechanic look over the vehicle and he found that it had been in an accident which was not disclosed. Mark the manager at the body shop was very helpful and quickly evaluated the repairs needs to the front fender and fender liner. I then had to contact sales again to find out how this would be covered and they were slow approving it, had to keep calling. Body shop was great and always got right back to me. They did fix the car and cover it, was just disappointed in how sales was slow to call me back and made me feel like they wanted me to go away after the sale. I would advise to have the car checked out if buying used from this dealer, once mine was fixed we are happy with it.

This particular visit on 07/09/2019 was very good, my car had a transmission issue and it was taken care of immediately. However this is my 5th transmission issue among several other with a 4 yr old car under 60,000 miles. The service department while very polite and respectful are shady and dishonest and on many occasions have left me unsatisfied.

I did not have a good experience at all with Hagerstown Ford. I live 2 hours away from the dealership. When I was contacted by them to see if I was interested in trading, I explained what my requirements were as far as payment, etc. They had a car on the lot that met my expectations but before we could start any paperwork on it, it was sold. Then I was told that they located another car but I had to come that very same day and sign paperwork so I would be assured to get the car since they were acquiring it from another dealer. This was approximately 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday. My husband and I left as soon as we finished work that day and drove the 2 hours to get down there and sign the paperwork. They told us to drive our car back home and they would be delivering our new vehicle in the next day or 2. The very next day I was called and told that the car was sold. Assured me they were going to do their best to find me another car and hung up. No call back. I called at 5pm. No vehicle yet. I called at 8pm. No vehicle available. Will have to cancel sale. This was unacceptable to me. I spent almost $30 in gas and had to buy dinner on the road since we were travelling a total of 4 hours and then in the dealership 2 hours, not to mention the 250 miles I put on the car taking it down there and back. All that was said is I'm sorry..how about a few oil changes? Really???? You think I'm going to put another 250 miles on this car each time it needs an oil change? I don't think so. I searched again for a dealer to get the car I wanted and guess what? They found exactly what I wanted AND I was informed that thru Ford, when this dealer acquired the vehicle from the other dealer, it was immediately moved to their books so the other dealership didn't sell it, so I was assured the vehicle. Hagerstown Ford falsely represented themselves by not telling me that there was NO guarantee I was going to get a vehicle at all. All we were told was that we had to come sign papers right away to be SURE we got the vehicle. After we got there, then they talked like oh if this falls thru, we WILL find you another one. Wrong again. If I could give less than 1 star I would. And I wouldn't have posted this except I keep getting emails asking how I like my new ride. I emailed back but replies apparently don't get read because I got another one today!

Mr. Doug Taylor provided us with exceptional service. Not only was he professional but he was very courteous and seemed to care about our needs and what vehicle would work out best for us financially and that we would be happy with long term. He took the time to go over all the details of everything with us so we fully understood all about the vehicle we decided on. He was not "pushy" as most salespeople in dealerships seem to be in my experience. He truly cared about having a satisfied customer that would return for future purchases and would recommend friends and family. He succeeded in that because we definitely will, and we have already referred family to him that have purchased a vehicle.

It definitely was not a fair deal in looking to trade a vehicle. They want top dollar for theirs and low dollar for ours. Then kept calling us after we left for couple days. Definitely didn't seem interested in dealing with us while there so why bother folks after they leave.

I had a wonderful time at Hagerstown Ford. I dislike car shopping, more than most things. However, I arrived at 12:30 for a test drive of a Ford Escape and was greeted by Mike the manager who introduced me to Alexis my salesperson. I knew going in that I had credit issues and a slightly upside down trade. I also knew what I wanted and where I wanted to be. It took several hour but I got the payment and vehicle I wanted. I would 100% recommend going here for a car buying experience. My only complaint was the wait for the finance department was way too long. Other than that it was smooth sailing.

I was merely traveling through when I had what I thought was a major problem with my truck (gear shifting, engine ping). They discovered it was a wheel issue. Coming from Texas, I don't know anybody at Hagerstown Ford for squat. They treated my truck with dignity and service to make me feel like I lived around the block. Things can change and times can be tough but right now I'll tell you that these folks are trustworthy and top notch to boot. I'm lucky I landed here. Thanks Jay, keep rockin'. You guys are as good as its gets in my book.
