We bought a car at this dealership. My husband was here previously, and made an appointment with the finance manager today, so I could see the car before we bought it. When we arrived, the car was unlocked, and there was a stinky takeout container, heavy with food, on the backseat. The car, although obviously dirty, was in excellent condition with only 12,000 miles. I let the finance manager know (the next person we had contact with). Instead of apologizing, he just said oh, that Keith ! (Name changed to protect a very young person s privacy). Then, as we were leaving, we were batted back and forth between the finance manager and Keith about whether there was an extra key. At one point in time, we were told it would come in the mail with the license plates. Because that s how you get car keys . Finally, we gave up and left with the car and one key. Nobody apologized for the food in the backseat, nobody had any idea about an extra key (a simple no would have sufficed), and between checking himself out in his office window repeatedly and texting on his phone while telling us bye, I was over the finance manager also.
Also previously, the model was listed incorrectly, and when they caught their mistake, they racked on an extra thousand dollars. To be fair, the car was honestly worth what we paid. It just shows incompetence on the part of the dealership.
Full disclosure: we were buying a Nissan at a Kia dealership, so I get that we were not exactly their targeted customers. Still, I think this experience was tacky and super unprofessional.
Spoke with a lady over the phone and was told good things to actually getting to the dearship and its a different ball game! I want what I want! especially if I'm paying for it.. Having someone working for company and lie to people just to get u to come in is not a good look at all...God will continue to show me!
I want to thank Al in the service department for all his help. I brought my 2013 Kia Soul in for a recall. He called to let me know my car & key had been received (I dropped it off after service hours the night before). He let me know what needed to be done in relation to the recall and also that the part would need to be delivered (overnight delivery). I was grateful the work could be done while I was in the area on vacation & had access to another vehicle since I no longer have a Kia Dealer/Service in my area.
I wanted a headlight assembly replaced also and while I had put it on the online form I completed I did forgot to bring it up in my discussions with Al so not terribly upset it didn't get done.
I also appreciated the appointment reminders via text.

This was my first time getting a car pretty much on my own, and I was so underprepared informationally. I didn't anticipate the amount of last-minute decisions and stress that this kind of milestone would bring. That said, the men who helped me (Frank and Brook) were so patient and understanding with me. They talked me through every little thing several times until I understood everything completely and all without pressuring me to decide right there on the spot. They gave me plenty of time to think and talk with my grandparents who were helping me navigate the process, and I couldn't be more appreciative of the effort they went through to secure my comfort before securing my sale. I love my car so much, and I'm excited to see where it takes me. Thank you so much for your kindness and help!
Told us they could finance anyone, not true. They want to put you in a used car not new. Want huge down payments. Poor customer service rush in and out. Won't go back!

And they were great I'm so impressed, they kept me up to date they were extremely informative. It did not take long to service my car. They will shuttle you home. I'm so happy I took my car here.

Worked here didint get paid for 3 weeks and still had days missing then found out a lot of people have also been robbed working here so be careful working for this company. My friend and I tried to talk to the owner Tony and his nephew Rafael who works there but does absolutely nothing, but they fired us... They will hire you and use you to sale 5 or 6 cars then fire you for no absolute reason. Becareful buying a car from here as well. The good reviews are from friends they have it's all fake. 3000 over any car and most the time the car you want is already messed up rigged to work a few months don't believe me go buy one and watch how you regret it once you sign ur done your no longer a value to them.
If I could give this dealership negative stars, I would! I called the dealership to ensure the car i wanted to test drive was available. April told me I had to make an appointment and to text her when i could come in. I texted her and explained that i was across town (i10 and Gessner) and had to drive home to pick up my husband and then get to the dealership which is south of Hobby Airport.. in rush hour traffic.. on a Friday evening. She texted back just come in and we will help you out.
When we got to the dealership an hour and a half later, we were told that they no longer had the vehicle. But not by April - oh no, by a manager no less. April doesn t even deal with the customers. But we could test drive another one. Bait and Switch much? I will NEVER go there again. I never write reviews, but this was such an underhanded way to get a customer to come in to the dealership I couldn t not write this.

Throw back to the old school "used car salesman" techniques.
The car we drove 50 miles to see conveniently wasn't there. It was at another location even though we called before showing up to drive it. Oh, and it was really a standard and not an automatic like it said in the ad.
The first car we drove smelled like cat or dog piss and the rear seat belt was ruined. Apparently either an animal tore it up or it was shredded by a baby seat but either way, it was unsafe and they were okay with that.
Second car they showed us was "basically the same but just a little more expensive" ...like over $1500 more expensive.
They wouldn't finance our niece as a first time buyer without proof of income of $1800/mo. She's a college student with a full ride. No rent or bills and they want her to show $12/hr for 40hr/week equivalent. The payment would be around $200/mo but they want her to earn $1800/mo...and she was puttting almost 20% down in cash.
Then they started "negotiating". They like to write down numbers and say "if I can do this, will that work?" And have you sign on the number. When they said "okay" and then took it to finance (grandpa was going to cosign), they did the classic lie and went back to finance the original, non-negotiated price. The salesman (some kid from Montana) is either really new, really ignorant, or really drinks the Fredy Kool-Aid because he was reciting right from their "how to con a client" handbook. We were done at that point.
But the financing was also a joke. They said "the combined credit" was a B+ tier. They showed the credit for my niece which was non existent. But wouldn't show it for the adult because "it's complicated and based on a tier". So they show you monthly payments and ask which is best for you. I said "what's the interest rate" and they went on for a while about how it's tiered and we can't give you the rate because we have to get you approved for financing first blah blah. I told the sales guy it seemed high and I was guessing it was around 12% which was too high.
Finally, after me asking the very dumb or very conning "finance manager" for 10 minutes for the rate he said he couldn't give me, he arrogantly says to me "look, I don't know what your background is but this is complicated." Oops. So I responded, "I have a degree in electrical engineering and a background in finance (investment banking)". I then explained to this idiot that if you have the payment, and the term (months), and the principle balanace, then you can determine the interest rate. There's equations for it, but just google "financial calculator" or "loan calculator" and you can get it for free. So this guy finally pulls up the calculator. Guess what the rate was? 11.99%. And that's the lowest because they give you a range of payment it might be. So I nailed it with an educated guess and this jerk spent 10 minutes telling me how complicated it is.
We walked out.
But the sad thing is that many if not most of the buyers going there don't have my background. Their sales system is VERY slick. They pull every trick in the book. They bait and switch cars. They have you sign offers and numbers and then take it to credit to get a payment that is actually NOT based on the agreed amount. They screw you on interest rates and terms.
If you thought you negotiated an awesome deal and they said "great, can you do $250/mo?" And you said "sure!", would you be able to do the mental math to see that they didn't sell it to you at the agreed rate or that they're raping you in finance? Probably not. Unfortunately most of you are good, hard working, trusting fools and they're counting on that.
Don't be duped. Buy somewhere else. Whatever deal you THINK you're getting, you might not be. At least bring someone like me who is REALLY good with numbers, skeptical of salesmen, and has your best interest at heart.
These guys are cons. There are plenty of good car salesmen out there. The industry has changed and these guys are stuck in the past. We are going to try Texas Direct today.
This is the worst experience I ve ever had. This people lie about everything, waste your time and still have no good deal to offer you. I Drove 40min spent over 3hrs and still have nothing to show for it. Trust me some small dealerships cherish your time and money than these ones. If you going to Fredy Kia based on the advert the show off please don t waste your time. Their customer reps sucks big time

Set appt that they didn't keep. Salesman said I would get free oil change for 5 years. Not! Per service advisor I have to purchase tire rotation every oil change to keep the warranty. Oh and when I purchased my kia the salesman gave me piece of paper to use that had other people's names and numbers on it!!

I was looking for cars and browsing different dealerships. They wouldn t let me see any cars. And the ones that they did were in extremely bad shape. Pressured me into buying a brand new car. And ran my credit after I specifically told them not to. I was just looking. Would never go back. Would never buy from them. I wouldn t even drive near that dealership. Oh and the internet lady would text me all the time until I told her about my bad experience. Then nothing. No reply. Anyway. Don t waste your time here.

If I could give zero stars I would. This has been the worst experience of my entire life. I went in to turn in a lease and lease a new vehicle at Fredy on 1/19/19. I was told by my salesmen Nile/Brooke during negotiations that it would be a 36-39 month lease with 12,000 miles a year. When I signed the paperwork they told me it was 48 months instead of 36 or 39 months and when asked who I should talk to they told me I could talk to someone if I want, but my payments are going to go way up. They stated their system was down and were not able to process my vehicle on the day I purchased it (1/19/19) so I wasn t able to sign paperwork until 1/31/19. I also have been driving around with an expired plate since 2/7/19. Don t bother calling and trying to speak to the sales manager Daniel, because they will continually transfer you to a voicemail where you can t leave a message. & to top it all off my old car is still in my name even though I haven t had the vehicle since 1/19/19. I will NEVER get a Kia again.

We love our new Kia Soul. Our salesman was Zack and he was so helpful. He was very nice and even though we went in and drove a SUV and had every intention of buying one when we got there and had him work up the numbers for us he did not get upset when I stated that I really liked the Soul instead. Zack just got the keys to a Soul and let me drive it. I really liked the Soul so Zack once again worked the numbers up for us this time on the Soul. The team as a whole did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our purchase.

Was the absolute worse experience ever! First they told us we were approved, made us sign our paperwork even told us when our first payment will be and how much. Took the Kia home for less than a week to only have them tell us to take the Kia back because we weren't approved! Moses the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, he never once apologized. All he said was "the bank didn't approve you" couldn't explain was we were not we weren't. I asked to get our belongings from the car and he didn't bother asking if we needed a bag, to put our belongings in, all Moses said was "OK" left and didn't come back. We asked the lady in the front if she could page him so he could open the Kia to get our belongings and he didn't even come back. My husband and I had to go look for him outside and he claimed "he didn't hear the page". They all basically made us feel as if we stole the Kia. We are speaking to our attorney because something needs to be done for how they treated us, how they made us feel, and for our time. They ran our credit, made us believe we were approved so they can just turn around and take the car away. If you're in the market for a new or used car take your business somewhere else. I wish I didn't have to give them a star by have to for the review.

I found two vehicles online that I was interested in call the dealership and spoke to Andrew Alvarado who told me both vehicle were available. My husband and I explain to him that we were in Louisiana and would drive down (4 hours) that day. When we were about one hour from the dealership we begin to call Him to update our arrival time. We got no answer and no call back. After arriving to the dealership we were put with someone in used cars name Leslie. She informed us that one of the car had been sold the night before and the other one what skill at dealership but unable for her to show it to us. She stated to us that she would show it to us on today(Thursday) but wasn t sure what time she would be at work because she scheduled at 9AM but doesn t usually show up till about 11 AM
Stii have not gotten a call from either a sales person today at 3pm nevertheless we did not waste a trip because we were able to purchase a vehicle from another dealership in the city.

Just purchased a 2016 Sorento. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Went in knowing what I should pay and what my trade was worth and they worked with me to get what I wanted. Was in and out with the new vehicle in about 3 hours. This is the second vehicle I've purchased from them. I contacted several other dealers before going back to Fredy and had issues with every one of them so I gave Fredy a call to see what they could do and went later in the day to buy it.
I totally appreciative and happy from my experience at Fredy Kia! My sales associate, Leslie was great helping me get the car I wanted and I will always be thankful for her working with me . I recommend going to this Kia and have Leslie help you find the right vehicle for you!

Waste of gas driving down there for them to scam the customers. I am more upset that they wasted my gas and time... however they win because they made a fool of me. However they have also lost my trust in them to do what is right. Like most business it's about getting money not being a business you trust. The good thing is I am only a fool once. This not posted last week but today. 1/25/17... it does a business no good to scam a customer and send misleading information but in the fine print have a legal way to escape. Read everything they when buying from them because in hidden print they have just made you to believe false info. They have these big boards around the store that they have hidden behind desks to show the blow up of the fine print. When i confronted them the guy smiled and said its perfectly legal what we did we have attorneys help us draw it up. Just because you made it so it's legal don't make it right. Honesty in a company that sells cars is important because you want to make a wise investment. However when a business practices misleading sale tactics it destroys a customers belief in the business. This probably won't change anything on my end but it may when others read it. I hope they will be cautious of your misleading info.

Bill Little was my sells guy and he was WONDERFUL. I told him what I wanted , what I could afford and he made it work. Bill did not not try to hard sell me or make me look at something I did not want or could afford. I was in and out in 3 hours with a new 2016 KIA . The only wait I had was for the guys to clean and wash it. If anyone needs a sweet honest salesman go see Bill Little , he will do all that he can for you.

I went into Fredy Kia expecting to just look around and explore my options on shopping for a car. I'd been in contact with Chris W before I actually went into the dealer so when I walked in, he is the one that helped me. I just wanna say, great customer service. He was very polite and extremely helpful. I explained my situation to him and the possibilities I had. He made it work. When I say he made it work, he took the time to ask me what type of car I wanted and also explained to me the details of the make and model of the car. May I remind you, I really wasn't coming with the intention of buying a car. He brought out the car I wanted, in the color I wanted, so I definitely took it for a spin. That was it. He made it work to get me the car I wanted with affordable monthly payments(...and YES, I took the car)! The worst experience buying a car. My wife and I knew exactly what we wanted. If you are going in for that 15k deal on the KIA soul don't go. That start the car off at 15k but the bottom line is 20k. They want to charge you for everything that comes stock out of the factory. Also they make you buy a 2800 dollar package that comes with free oil changes and car washes for 5 year.
We negotiated the car down and I told them we wanted to pay cash. So they moved us in to a back room for a hour and half. The AC was off. I had to go find someone and asked what was going on. They said you are waiting on financing. I said no we are paying cash. Can you go get someone so we can leave. She said NO!!!! They are in a meeting. Apparently their meeting is more important than our car.
The list will keep going... Just go to a different place to go buy a kia. At the end of the day car showed up scratched, the spare tire was gone, three hours of our life gone and they ran our credit anyways.
Very unprofessional and not transparent with pricing. Saw a truck on their website at a specific price and when I was filling an application the salesperson raised the price by $1,000 which I happen to notice and I'm positive he wasn't goin to explain it until I mentioned that plus the numbers didn't add up at all.Lacking honesty, very untrustworthy and treat you not as a you expect to be treated. Not to mention that the entire group of sales people give off a very bad vibe.
I looked at a car there a month ago. They are still calling me twice a day even after I asked them to stop days ago. They run their business like a boiler room operation. If they were the last car dealer left in the world, I would go buy a horse.
The sales team was magnificent and professional all throughout my visit. Bought a used car in-house financed at a satellite lot and had to come across town to pick up my plates only to find out that the plates aren't here nor ready and I've never had to wait longer than a month from any car lot to get my permanent plates!
Run don't walk from any of these fredy car lots they are shady as hell!
Jesse Banda was an absolute professional. From the moment he introduced his self as the Sales Manager to the moment I drove off the lot, he made the car buying experience enjoyable again. His knowledge of the car business was a bit daunting but I was never made to feel like I was being talked down to.
This is not the first time that I have purchased a vehicle and I've been through the "Bait and switch" routine with other dealership that bring you in on a promise of a vehicle just to place you into one that they need to move off the lot. Mr. Banda was attentive to what my needs were as it related to the type of vehicle I was looking for and I was surprised to find that the vehicle was well below my budget. I could not be happier with my experience.
There is no person that I would feel more comfortable in rendering than Mr. Banda.
When I went to look at a vehicle there that was on there website that they had keys to they gave me the run-around from hell . They told us they couldnt find the car then they came back after leaving us in the parking lot once again to look for the car they came back and told us that the car didn't run mind you this car was advertised on line for sale to the public. On top of that there sales people have no earthly idea what's goin on. That place is not a place I wouldnt recommend that anybody fo buy a car from new or used.
I'm am happy with my second Kia from this dealership. Mario helped me and both times I walked out with a new car. I love both of my kias. I recommend this place to all my friends but I always tell them to go ask for Mario Paniagua

Their service department do not put the car back together the way they take it apart they leave both undone and everyone knows when you take your car to any dealer they put it on the rack and come out there and tell you everything that's wrong with it so that they can make extra money off of you well these people did that but when I got my car back they didn't tell me they had pulled the undercover panel and broke it and that's it like that so when I drove down the street I guess it fell from under there I came down and when I pulled up to the bank and seen it I called him he going to tell me you had to run over something you had to do this I did none of the above but thank you for your support dealership experience
Last Friday night I was looking at cars online and signed up to get pre approved. They called me Saturday morning and I told them with everything going on with this virus I wanted to come in test drive and sign the paperwork. They called back in a hour. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Best car buying experience I have ever had. Thank you Tucker and Mohammad for making this process quick so I could get back home with my family.

Too many games. If you have a customer, you don't blatantly ask aloud in front of other customers about personal information for verification. Wrong!!!
Their online prices are deceptive and they will not respond to emails in a timely manner. They show one price online and then say you don't qualify for the rebates. You had to have been a first responder, a student, and a hurricane disaster victim to get their pricing. They engage in deceptive marketing practices and I would advise anyone to steer clear of this dealership.
Well, I didn't want to do this.
I really wanted to give them another chance, but they got it wrong again.
Way back when my vehicle had only 66k miles , I came in for transmission flush. I got a call while the vehicle was in the shop and they told me that my transmission has an excessive fluid leak. When I arrived to the shop I asked the manager about my options and he said I need a new transmission. So I asked if I can look at the Leake, I found out it wasn't a trans fluid, but an engine oil that drips out off of the filter (which sits upside down in these vehicles) during oil changes. When I said that, the technician just looked at me with wide opened eyes and couldn't say a word.
The second time I came in with a recall letter and they told me the part is not in stock and they will call when it arrives. No calls what so ever until that part failed and I had to call them for a new appointment which was Today.
First of all, this is a recall repair, so no diagnostic is involved. Customers should have wait time expectations. Nope, not on their page.
Two hours for a switch change that been held in place by one bolt?! plus latch lubrication. It's okay.
When repair is done I asked the representative (Aal), who was really great handling my call and setting up the appointment, hence I put the two stars, I asked him if I can talk to the Tech who did my repair. First he denied my request and then(under pressure) Aal agreed to go in and check his availability.
Of course as you would expect, he came out saying that the tech is busy and can't come out to talk or answer my question. He gave me an option though, he can write a new ticket so they can look at the vehicle again and he didn't forget to mention the price of that new ticket.
Well, would that answer my question?!
KIA makes good cars,, but they need to read these reviews so the services their dealers provide can match up with that goodness.
One of the salesmen was asking if I'm interested in a new car. Well if it doesn't need a dealer service, maybe.
