Coffee and food are really good! Great healthy options and huge menu for coffees, teas, and pastries. Vegan and vegetarian options. If you love sweet drinks, try this place out. Also, one of the largest selections of herbal teas in Springfield.

Love this coffee house! My favorite part of my morning journey to mudhouse are the wide selection of tea. It is a little difficult to find, a wide variety of bulk loose leaf tea in springfield, other than specialty stores (at specialty store prices). The best part of the tea wall is the lesser known teas, such as gyokuro green tea, bi luo chun green tea, etc. etc. and who can not love the vast and delicious Rooibos blends. PLUS THEY CAN MAKE A CUP OF ANY TEA YOU PICK HOT OR ICED! Thank you so much mud house for procuring such a wide selection of tea. It makes my day every morning.... oh and staff is wonderful, friendly, charming etc. etc. haha... Just go to mudhouse!! :) :) :)

This is a fantastic option for vegan food paired with some great local roast coffee. Go for both together or allow them to stand on their own. Both are great options. I will drive out of my way every time through town to stop and enjoy.

Beautiful atmosphere for a coffee shop on South Avenue in Downtown Springfield, and great coffee! Their Peanut Butter Puddle was great! So is their Eggnog Latte, as well as the hot coffee beverage I got the last time.

Love me some mud puddles! I get the peanut butter puddle... it s soooo good! The best frappuccino style drink I have ever had! Puddles are the only kind my husband will drink. It s very smooth and is not to sweet or strong on the coffee side. It s perfect! I also got a giant chocolate chip cookie today, it was delicious! Such a cute, quirky, cozy cafe!

This used to be my favorite place to get a sandwich and they used to have great service. The lady and guy who made our sandwich never called our names even though I was watching for them. Then they made my wrap wrong. The quality that this place used to be is awful. The portions were super small and presentation terrible. This will be the last time I eat here. Not to mention there were several people waiting and the workers were just chatting at the back of the bar.

This is still hands down one of the best coffee shops in town. They are good enough that other local businesses are sourcing mudhouse coffee for their creations. Every time I bring my wife or my kids in here, the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. The coffee you get here is so much better than those big chain stores. The people are always personable and kind. The food is always fresh. If tea is your thing, they have shelves upon shelves dedicated to loose leaf teas from all over the world. I strongly urge you to try this place out if you are in downtown springfield. Mudhouse, I hope that someday soon you open another store by my house.

I have not ventured far from the frozen coffee offerings, though I hear they are quite tasty. The go to drinks for us are the funky monkey ( frappuccino with a whole banana blended in) and the tahitian vanilla ( frappuccino with Colombian coffee and a rich vanilla flavoring). If you need a little extra something you should definitely grab one of the bags of chocolate covered espresso beans or cookies. They are delicious, and perfect to munch on while we drive back from Springfield to Kansas city.

They have THE BEST muffins in town. The lemon poppyseed is my personal favorite with the cranberry being a close second. The peanut butter mudslide is heaven in a cup! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, a great place to come alone or with friends!

Favorite for MSU student because of the comfortable atmosphere where conversations are easy. The service and artistic drinks are easily the best in town! All for half of Starbucks prices. They always make my drinks dpecial, only once in 10 years has an order been made wrong-a suburb record!

The food is always good and two can eat for about $20 with drinks.

Wonderful local coffee shop. They have a great mix of homemade and store bought flavors for their espresso drinks. Their bakery is awesome and hey have a lot of seating if you want to stay. Love that they kept some character of the original building it s in too with the stamped ceiling tiles.

This has been my coffee house since I was 15 years old. (11 years) I have been to Seattle and couldn't find coffee that came close to the Mudhouse. It is truly a MUST for the downtown experience, the college study pad, the weary traveler. I adore everything here, the portobella soup and the SuperKALElifredikistic smoothie. However, my heart belongs to the Elvis (peanut butter banana frozen espresso drink). The vegan cookies and day old discounted bagels kept me alive when I was homeless downtown. Never change a thing, you are exquisite.

I grew up on Mudhouse coffee, so I make it a point to stop in whenever I visit - and that nostalgia gives an extra star, if I'm going to be completely honest with myself. The coffee was good (although much sweeter than expected), but it took forever to get my drink. There was one order in front of me. You have to brew 1 shot of espresso and 1 cup of chai, then dump said shot into said chai... I've gotten this drink all over the west coast and it's never taken more than a minute or two. So eight minutes pushed my patience quite a bit. Plus, I remember the place being a lot... friendlier. But maybe memory brightens places over time.

May this place always stand even during a zombie apocalypse! It has become a haven for all of Springfield - no matter the age, no matter the occupation. It's a beautiful thing and not only do I love their coffee, but I love their staff too! Mudhouse is a second home for me since I discovered it when I was in 8th grade. Thank you, Mudhouse!

The Mudhouse is Springfield, Missouri's local, un-franchised version of Starbucks. The Mudhouse attracts the same coffee-geek, neo-slacker clientele, looking for free wifi, the solitude that can only be discovered in a crowd of like minded people, and $7.00 lattes. The beverages are clever caffeinated creations and the pastries and treats are quite tasty. Prices are in line with similar places and the staff offers just the right measure of begrudging hipster barista politeness.

Service, coffee, and atmosphere were great! However, the biggest issue lies where most people don t see. Was towards the back with one of my friends and I saw a mouse running around their supply/storage room. This wouldn t have bothered me, but when I told an employee about this issue (away from other customers), it seems that the problem went unsolved as no one even checked it out. I wouldn t have posted this unless I thought it d be taken care of.. Hopefully someone with some influence on the coffee shop sees this and fixes the issue. Until then, I will never step foot into that place again.. absolutely disgusting

A very relaxed atmosphere and friendly employees make this coffeehouse a must visit in Springfield, Missouri. The coffee is really good and orders are served fast. I was there several times during my two weeks in Springfield.

Tigers eye was very flavorful. Out of cardamom syrup-not noted on the menu. Service was prompt but very indifferent and almost rude. Seemed annoyed with requests for recommendations. Would love to try again during normal work hours...not during late night bar hours. Maybe everyone was just tired.

*UPDATE* I genuinely appreciate the owner's positive response. Keep up the awesome work!

Mudhouse and I go way back. Love their Mud. Wifi can be spotty. Bring a book as backup. Sometimes hard to find a seat. I scope seat situation first if I'm planning on working. Now that I work in the Co-working space just a few doors down, I try to stop by and see them at least once a week. The Elvis is an excellent frozen drink as is the Happy Hippie. Try the Turbo at your own risk.

LOVE! This coffee shop!! It's probably my favourite shop in Springfield, based off of taste. Every time i've been, it's been during the evening and it's always so cozy and it smells AMAZING. The baristas are ways so sweet and quick to have my drink ready. I usually only get one drink and thats always been my "go-to" but with this coffee shop, i've tried many different things and loved them all!!! I very highly reccomend Mudhouse for all of your coffee needs

The cold brew is amazing. I've only been once but was greated with hospitality. The wait for purchasing coffee was a bit long (3-4 people), but it could be due to the time I went which was right at noon.

The name fits the restaurant very well. The coffee taste like MUD. The frozen drinks are EXTREMELY overpriced and not worth a buy. If you buy the endless cup it is indeed NOT endless as I have had the manager walk over and kick me out in the middle of doing my homework.
The staff only seem friendly.
The only good thing about this place was the atmosphere and even then it was bad. I reccomend if you enjoy coffee skip this place the coffee house down the street is much better and much nicer

I got the boom boom burrito, it was amazing, but more so than the perfect coffee and the incredible food, the service is phenomenal. The staff was superb, each of them took the time to explain the menu and did it with a huge smile on their face which made us feel welcomed. Would definitely recommend!
