So I felt like I wasted my money in service. I will never take my service there ever again. I took my mustang there due to an misfiring issue and paid$125 for an diagnosis and was told another price for an leak down test$700.00. The bill came out to be $800 an so for them to tell me that I need an new engine. And talking to service manager about high price for leak down test he discide to drop some money out the bill because I was right for outstanding price for leak down test. And besides my car is in another shop getting worked on as we speak, and fixing the problem without needing an new engine thank God. So for fortmill Ford , quit ripping people off... Thanks for wasting my time...

I recently purchased a car with Jayda. She was awesome to say the least. Amazing person and cared about what type of car I was getting and the process. Very easy process. No haggling at all which is what sold me more so than the car itself. I stayed a little longer than I liked but I don't think Fort Mill Ford played any part in that it was more so my finance company. Overall when shopping for another car in the future I would visit them again.

Scheduled a no wait appointment to replace 1 tire on 2017 Ford Focus. Arrived at 10:30am. After waiting over an hour, was told that they didn t have a Focus tire in stock, but was sending a guy to a tire warehouse. How do you not have a tire for the most generic car on your lot ?
After a total wait of 4 hours, I m told that they are starting on my car !!!!
You told us it would be a quick in and out appointment.

After setting at table with salesman for 3 mins he slid me a piece of paper and said the price is 5491.00 yes I was mad. I left didn't wanna cause a problem. Regarding my recent purchase of a new King Ranch,. I must report that I was pleasantly surprised with the new method of selling cars that Fort Mill Ford is using. Terrence was very professional and very familiar with the vehicle. Chris did an outstanding job in handling the paperwork and explained the operation of all the bells and whistles included on the truck. Will plan on using FMF on my next purchase and will recommend to others.

After some challenges with finding the drive to check in, it was a good experience with an easy check-in process with everything electronic on the iPad. The only challenge came on Sunday as a surprise. The young man who washed the windows did something to the window wipers. While on the highway with rain, there was no wiper. We stopped and found it in the window well. We had to make a trip back to Fort Mill Ford on Monday to get it resolved. He apologized and got a technician, who fixed it in 5 minutes.

Frank has been working on my car for the past year and does an excellent job, going above and beyond of things I should be checking on or what looks like it may need maintenance or replacing in the next year. I have leased several vehicles at Fort Mill Ford, helped my son purchase one here, and then my wife and I purchased an Edge for her. She found the perfect color and features, but the vehicle she chose did not have factory Navigation, so they advised they work with an "Authorized" installer in Charlotte, NC to install one. I wanted confirmation it would work as if factory installed. So there was a phone call on speaker with the FM Ford salesman and the Sales Manager where the installer "Guaranteed" it would work fine. AND we agreed to pay the $1700 for it. AND IT DID NOT WORK as they said. First they wanted us to pick another Edge from the lot inventory. Didn't have the right color. Then they wanted to "find" one from another lot. Couldn't get the right color combo either. So they finally said they would order one exactly like we wanted and "swap them out". They day finally arrived and I went to "swap them out". This is when I found out I had to "TRADE IN" the first one as it was now "USED", and "PURCHASE" the new one on a new finance agreement. The new "PURCHASE" included a $3000 charge for the depreciation on the "USED" vehicle. I was floored as I was NEVER advised this is the way it would be handled. Another salesman said they should have advised the process and just kept the first vehicle. I could have rented a car cheaper for the 8 weeks it took to get the new one!!!
I even contacted SONIC Automotive who basically said Sorry!
Customer loyalty doesn't mean anything to this business! Well, they've lost mine forever!!!

This guy has never made me feel like he is in a hurry to move on to the next customer. He takes his time to communicate and clearly articulate steps being taken and answer any questions. Not once have I had to question when/where my extended warranty package would come into affect (covering whatever scenario). He is professional and streamlines the process of getting my vehicle serviced and all financial transactions covered. Brandon is an asset to any company due to his gentlemanly practices and attitude and ability to put people at ease by listening and not skirting over what they say or ask.

Okay... My husband and I walked into FMF on a Friday evening to take a look at an used Expedition. We have completely outgrown our current vehicle (Nissan Maxima) its a tight fit but doable. We called the dealership and set an appointment to view the Expedition. We walked in and Lou was our "experience guide". He was decent, and cordial, stated what a lovely family we are and how pretty our daughter is, 3 months old. We got an appraisal on the Maxima and looked at the Expedition. It checked off all of our boxes and so after a few minutes of deliberately my husband submitted his application.
Side note: we were already pre-approved through Capital One, thats how we found the vehicle AND we knew we were going to roll over some negative equity for the Max so we we're prepared to put down a nice size down payment to keep our payments reasonable.

It was nearly closing time, almost a ghost town, so Lou said that he would speak with the GM in the morning to try and get us the best "deal". He said he would be calling us the next morning around 9/10am.
**IMPORTANT**
Lou asked us what payment area are we trying to be within after we submitted the application. We stated between $400-$500 if possible but no more than $550 a month. We have daycare and private school to pay for lol!
Come Saturday morning... Lou calls and I answer the phone... HE WAS SO UGLY AND RUDE I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!! He said we we're approved for the truck with the negative equity but our payment would be $650+! He went on to say that even if they gave us an extra $2k on the trade we would still be at $600. It wasn't the news that upset me and my husband it was HOW he spoke to us!!!! UGHHHHHH! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! So nasty! He rushed off the phone so quickly we couldn't believe it! I was on fire!!
My husband wanted to call him back and give him a piece of his mind but i talked him out of it.
Well, since we already did an application with them we wanted to try and find a vehicle on their lot. We found an Explorer that was about 10k cheaper than the Expedition. Reluctantly, we called Lou back to see if he could run the numbers on the Explorer and his attitude GOT WORSE!! I should have followed my first mind and never called but I did! He completely blew us off, stated he was busy and he would try and get back with us.
Needless to say we never heard from him again or from FMF.
He had the nerve to brag about FMF not paying their salesman commission!!! Then why the sudden change in attitude?? It was all good until we refused to pay an astronomical car payment! We are so disappointed, we were looking forward to buying a larger vehicle from FMF.
If we could give them zero stars we would.
We didnt deserve the nasty treatment Lou gave us.

Over the past 7 years, I've purchased two vehicles from Fort Mill Ford - 2009 Flex Limited and a 2012 Mustang GT Premium Convertible. Both vehicles are always serviced there despite the fact that I had been living closer to other dealerships in Matthews. The buying and service experience has always been better so definitely worth the ride.
Recently my family and I along with our 2 Fords relocated to St. Augustine, Florida. While visiting family in the Charlotte area this week for the Easter holiday, our Flex had approached to 100K mileage mark. The timing of that milestone along with the receipt of a "20% off your next service visit" coupon they e-mailed to me...made for the perfect opportunity to go in and see my friends at Fort Mill Ford. I had the plugs changed, the tires rotated and a full synthetic oil change. I expected to be there more than half the day, but Brian and Frank had me back on the road enjoying my vacation in about 2 1/2 hours. I only wished the dealership by me in St. Augustine was half as good as these guys.

I did not get a response from anyone until I came to Ft. Mill Ford and asked for a manager. It's just common courtesy to keep your customer informed.

Update: Still waiting on our tag for a car we bought in January. If someone/anyone could return my call and explain where the tag and title for the car is, I would appreciate it.

Multiple employees have lied to me about helping me financing the car i wanted but also guaranteed that i would be leaving with a car. They said they were able to help any customer despite financial situation. I drove 3 and a half hours to get the car i so desperately wanted. All for them to tell me that the employees were wrong and to make it worse she offered gas or gas money for my long trip which i thought was nice of her and when i get back to my car the needle wasnt even moved and i had to fill it back up myself anyway terrible would not recommend anyone go there such a waste of time

The ONLY place I will buy a vehicle. I bought my truck from there 5 years ago. Middleton Gassaway was my salesman that I dealt with then and now.

Back story on truck I bought 5 years ago - When I arrived, I stopped only to look at 2 trucks that were sitting on the lot. About 5 salespeople swarmed out the door, and I asked to be left alone as I wasn't even really looking to buy. A few minutes later, they were back at it. I told them when I was ready, I would seek them out. Finally as I started walking towards the building 2 of them came back out. I walked by them and went towards the one guy who never rushed at me, and that would be Middleton (he acknowledged me when I got out of my vehicle when I first arrived with a wave and a smile, but never came to me, which I liked, because I do not like pushy salespeople). He has a very laid back, pleasant personality and very knowledgeable. I pick my salesperson, not the other way around.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I was looking to buy a newer vehicle for my wife. Not new, but used. I called Fort Mill Ford and talked to Middleton to start the search. I learned they were now a Sonic dealership, so there was no haggling. Unsure of what to expect since the change, I met with him at the dealership when we located a vehicle we were interested in. Very BIG change, but for the good. Instead of passing you person to person as in the past, you stay with the same person throughout the whole buying process. I love the change. The sales staff seem to enjoy their job.

Unfortunately, we did have a problem with the car we bought. The Check Engine light was on, which indicated a bad catalytic converter. The dealership agreed to repair the issue, as it couldn't be sold because of this specific issue. We got the vehicle, and 2 weeks after we got it back, the Check Engine light came on again, only to realize it was the same code for the same issue. Come to find out, the wrong side catalytic converter was replaced. I called Middleton, and the dealership agreed to send back to the muffler shop that repaired the vehicle, because they had replaced the wrong part. No big deal, just a minor inconvenience that we could live with. When we got there to drop it off, they led us to Enterprise rentals on the service side of the building. Now, I wasn't about to pay for a rental car, because I was just going to drive my wife back and forth to work for the few days.

Here is where Fort Mill Ford stands above all the rest -The dealership was going to cover the cost for the rental for our inconvenience. Since no rental was available, they gave us a loaner vehicle, a 2015 Ford F150 Quad Cab Fully Loaded!!!! Holy crap! I loved that truck. Too bad it was a little out of my price range at $44K! Talk about service and taking care of their customers!

This is why I will continue to be a customer of Fort Mill Ford, and will highly recommend them, and Middleton Gassaway, to friends and family! ROCK ON FORT MILL FORD!!!

I had an appointment at 0830 for new tires for my F350. The service tech I was dealing with was very cordial and nice, the shop was clean, the people were nice, but it took 3x as long as it should to do the job. My truck sat in the service lane for over an hour, then it was in the shop for 2 hours on a day in which there were hardly any people waiting for their vehicles to be serviced. I ended up waiting over 3 hours for a change of tires. I was very disappointed in the time it took to change some tires especially considering the amount of money involved. My frustration is further amplified by the fact that my family owned and operated tire & automotive service stations for more than half a century and this type of wait makes no sense.

Bought car salesman Robbie cable assured me it was a perfect car. He also told me in the service lane it was a certified pre owned.
Drive for the weekend differetial was so noisey I was ready to get out. The clutch has started to slip and make noise. The brakes are pulsating under quick stops. They had there mechanic rode with me heard all the noises and stoping issue told the use car guy D.C. The problems infront of me and still they will not fix my car. Offered to fix one small problem out 3 major issues. Ten I go to trade in my truck they offer me 11000 for trade and 2000 on my car the dealership across the street offered me 18000 and 5000 so did 3 other dealers . You figure a dealership would take care of a repeated customer right .. wrong the sales manager was a complete jerk the sales guy is a liar and the used car manager is a con artist this is the abeseloute worst dealership I have ever been too. Ever. I worked in car dealerships for 15 years and this was the bottom of the barrel.

But, Chris Mills and Bob took care of me by offering to bring the truck to my office the next day. Chris dos a fantastic job: he wasn't overbearing, he answered all my questions, and he had patience with me (which was necessary since I'm a first time buyer). Thanks Chris and Fort Mill Ford, I'll be sure to send people your way.

We purchased a used vehicle that was supposed to be delivered to us at home. There were several errors/discrepancies in discussion, sales, paperwork, delivery, and overall state of the vehicle. Details on the issues are below.

Their website says complimentary delivery and I was told it was complimentary delivery through the whole process until the end when credit had already been run and we were talking payments. They said it is only complimentary out to 20 miles.

When the vehicle arrived, the drivers did not have the ability to get onto the base where my home is so I had to drive off base to meet them and pick it up (sort of defeats the point of home delivery). The salesman said the drivers would have IDs and the ability to get on base for the delivery but after the sale was made, the manager said they would not have the required IDs and I would have to drive out to meet them.

The drivers showed up 2 hours late so it made meeting them difficult since I had to take two people to get the car especially considering my wife and I work and have a 2 year old at home with daycares closed.

The car was very dirty on the inside and looked as if it had not been vacuumed. There was some sort of white residue on several of the interior doors and liftgate as well as crumbs and dirt in the seats.

Upon inspection, one of the speakers was not working at all even though the salesman said all were working when he tested it. I called the salesman about it who directed me to the manager who said he didn t know any repair shops in my area so I had to take it to a different dealership and communicate the costs of repair to the manager. This is a lot more work for us now and we still don t have the car we purchased because it is being worked on. I hope they didn t hide the speaker not working but that would be an easy thing to miss as a buyer because I had to go in and isolate each speaker s sound to hear that it wasn t working. With al speakers on it was very difficult to tell so I felt like they knew it and just left it in hopes that I wouldn t notice.

When the paperwork arrived with the drivers, the numbers were incorrect. There was an additional $500 fee that the manager said would be taken off but wasn t. Luckily I had this in writing so he said he would fix it. The delivery fee was $25 more than what was agreed upon and the tax was higher as a result. Luckily I had that in writing too. I am sure they did not do it on purpose but it was a small amount compared to the purchase price of the car and it felt like they were trying to pass one over on me.

I am still awaiting a quote on repairs and hopefully the new paperwork with correct numbers will be Fed Ex d to me but I am ready to be done with this process. It definitely would have been better to go in and look at the car but they were so convincing that they could handle the process from a distance.

This review is not written out of anger or frustration but rather states the facts of the experience doing business with Fort Miller Ford. We are still in the process of working through our purchase and do hope to find positive resolution very soon.

This was, by far, the best experience I've ever had buying a car!!! The Sonic Price made it easy, I knew the bottom line for our 2007 Toyota Corolla from the start. So I didn't need to worry about "haggling." I never felt pressured either.

I found the car online, called Fort Mill Ford to make sure they still had the vehicle on the lot, and drove down. Billy Linville took us for a test drive. Got a used truck this past weekend. Adrian handled everything very well, and as quickly as he could. He was upfront and honest with me throughout the process without being pushy and forcing me into anything. He answered my questions (sometimes multiple times) and was very nice the whole time. Pricing was fair and in most cases lower than other dealerships, and they offered me more money on my trade in than other places as well. Overall, a great experience!
