Family Danz replaced both of the 30+ year old boilers in our two-unit home with new 95% efficiency boilers and they did an absolutely beautiful job. They ran into a couple issues along the way just because of the design of our hundred year old house, but the installation team were incredibly helpful and found ways to get us what we wanted. Obviously if a company can't even keep an appointment that was scheduled a week before, they can't be relied on. You get what you pay for so if it's a good price it comes at a cost.

I was suckered by their Technician when he came two years ago. I had an intermittent problem with the pilot lighting, and sometimes the burners would come on briefly, sometimes not, and most of the time works normal. They show up, claim it is receiving too much voltage from the board. Replace the board, it "works", so they leave after charging me ~$900!!!! This is for a $80 part, and what takes 5 minutes to replace.
Low and behold two years later, I notice the same intermittent problem happening so I attempt to diagnose it myself after doing hours and hours of research. I find out intermittent issues are NEVER related to the board. The board costs $80 (as noted above, not $500), and that I was swindled.
Now I'm just biting the bullet and having a new furnace put in, and there is no way I'm ever calling them again for anything.
Our air conditioning unit was seriously damaged and inoperable (during the month of July ... HOT!). After calling a couple of competitors, we called Family Danz. Throughout getting repairs done, everyone encountered at Family Danz was considerate, thoughtful and knowledgeable. We knew the repairs could be costly, very costly, since the unit is 15 years old. But they offered a solution that cost probably half of what the the competitors suggested was the only solution. Work was completed as quickly as possible without issue. Our ac stopped working. Called Family Danz for for a tech to come out. Within an hour Dan and Kyle showed up. Diagnosed the problem and made the necessary repairs to fix the problem. Running great since the repair.
My hot water tank failed and they had the technician Bradley here quickly. He assessed the situation and a replacement was ordered. He came back with the right tank and parts first thing the next morning. He was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and why. It was a great experience and I am very happy! Thank you!
We recently moved to a small town NE of Albany, the furnace in the house had a Family Danz sticker on the side with "Peter" as the tech. While nothing was wrong with the unit we wanted some information about it. Peter wasn't available but a very nice service technician took the time to explain what we had, the maintenance required and how to turn it into a heat pump. He was polite, made sure all my questions were addressed and professional. We don't need a tech now, but when we do we will use them.

Family Danz is incredible. The heat in our house went out overnight Thursday. Within hours of placing a service call they had a technician there who was excellent and did everything he could. We determined the best solution was a new furnace. The salesman was there before the technician had left. They gave me a fair price and had an installation team there the next morning (Saturday). Everyone from Family Danz, from placing the call to completion of installation, were knowledgeable and professional.
Great service at a good value. Staff is courteous and responsive. I was particularly impressed with the service guy, Steve. He was very respectfully of my home and family, while still delivering top-notch service.
I recently discovered my furnace needed to be replaced when I was selling my house. Mike (sales) and Kyle (installer) were great to deal with. Mike didn't try to upsell me and explained all options. Kyle was great and got everything installed in the window given.
From our initial contact with John Raiti in sales until the day of delivery and installation, our experience was fantastic. We got 3 estimates for a new furnace and air conditioning unit in our 33 year old home. We knew it was going to be a big, important investment and we knew we needed to get it just right and boy, did we! John answered all our questions and was extremely knowledgeable and informed. He scheduled our service and even checked in at our home in person the day of install. The 3 installers Dan Donnelly, Jeff Patterson, and Mel Crane all arrived punctually a few minutes before 8:00 am and worked all the way through the work day without even breaking for lunch. They were polite and very unobtrusive. I could hear them occasionally from the basement bantering jovially throughout the day and breaking into song along with their radio. We even had a visit in the afternoon from Ted Danz to check in and introduce himself!! We couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish! Thank you Family Danz! Family Danz saved us during the coldest week of the year after another company had already charged us $800 without fixing it. They came at 3am and figured out it was actually a very small issue, cost $61 and we have been with heat ever since. We have a 4 month old and the heat in our home had been dropping to below 40 degrees every night. They really saved us and we're so thankful to have found them.
Installed A/C unit at my house. Could not get house cold after running AC for two weeks straight. Tecs came out couple of times, stand in my hot house and tell me it's working fine. Called another co. for their opinion and they found the unit is too small for my house and my duct work in the attic (which was 130F) had not been insulated. So by the time the cold air made it to the end of my house it was coming out at 82F. Over $8,000 later and not at all happy. Oh packaging garbage, water bottles and two of my flashlights left in my attic. I guess that's my problem to clean up attic after them. Gotta say though if you have a contract they do come quickly and Frank my technician who came out was a very nice guy and helpful. If I needed to have my vents insulated at the time of installation I would have had it done. Out of work now (thanks covid) so I guess I will have to live with for now. Next review will be for their heating maintenance
After waking up one morning and taking a cold shower I called Family Danz to come look at my water heater. This was during winter shortly after a snow storm and they were of course quite bust. Regardless, an appointment was rapidly scheduled at my convenience and support staff at the company were easy to reach. The employee spent their time advising me on cost of repair vs replacement and which options might suit me best. At no time did I feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. Their quote was lower than local competitors with similar ratings and they scheduled the job much more rapidly. The technicians that arrived were friendly and accommodating. The job was completed rapidly and when they cleaned up and left you could not tell that work had been completed, shiny new water heater aside. I would not hesitate to contact Family Danz for future HVAC needs or to recommend them to my family and friends.
Thanks to Family Danz and Josh who were a tremendous support to our furnace. We had a heater emergency -- no heat on a very cold and snowy evening. Josh came out at 11:00 PM, found the problem, and fixed it. The cost was reasonable given the emergency circumstances. And Josh was very pleasant throughout! Thank you Josh!
We called and the technician came out the same day. He was great and installed a new capacitor for our A/C central unit. He made sure to stay until the A/C was working as the compressor overheated. Highly recommend the technician named Doug (#3). He was very friendly and reassuring. Didn't about complain about our shrub that was a bit overgrown making it a more difficult squeeze. We really appreciate the service today.
Service Tech came out to service oil boiler due to tripping safety switch. He left and it was still tripping. A 2nd tech came out 3 times and could not figure out why. 3rd tech came out and found tech 1 did not clean the bottom of chimney. He said I need a new boiler but cleaned out the chimney. It worked great. Family Danz sent out salesman and quoted a new boiler ($7,000). I got a second quote from Long Energy (also $7,000) who said I have a high end boiler that is working great and no need to replace (unless I really want to). Long Energy also tested some of the electronics that Family Danz replaced and showed me they were still good. So wasted money on replacing parts that were fine.
I called Family Danz salesman to talk, he never called me back. I wrote a letter to Family Danz explaining what happened, being out $400 for service calls and never heard back. I went with Long Energy as they have been honest so far. I had Family Danz for 2 years.
Worst ever. Do you like to be ignored, waste your money, get vague answers, and lied to? Then this is the place for you. Their ads are 100% lies. They do the least work we have ever seen. I wouldn't hire these crooks to change a washer. NOT recommended.
Over paid for fuel they said credit would be put on next delivery they never gave us the credit and now have more credit from the 2nd delivery, so keep your records. Been waiting over 2 weeks for a refund check for over payment every time I call they say it will go out today! So definitely keep your payment records. Also had furnace cleaned and it leaked from wrong nossle they put on it, they came back out changed the nossel & it still leaks! Not very happy with them!!

I moved into my home in Aug, I called them to service my heater they came out and serviced it cleaned up after himself and for the money I get great piece of mind. I have had 2 fuel delivery from them and can't be happier.
Today was annual maintenance day for the AC and furnace. Had scheduled an appointment a few weeks back for today and was given a time of 1-4 pm for the technician to show up. Josh showed up at our home at 12:30pm and did the maintenance. He did an excellent job and was both personable as well as very friendly. I've used Family Danz for the past 20 years or so and other family members have used them for close to 30 years. The people in the office have always been pleasant and any technician I've had has been great. Years ago, Ted Danz himself came to my townhouse in Clifton Park and did the estimate for central air and gas heat. I was a new homeowner at the time and he treated me fantastic. Wouldn't have anyone other than Family Danz touch my heating, AC, or hot water tank. I think they are the best in the business. Keep up the good work...........
This company is the worst for delivering oil....first delivery of the season they were late by a week and half and didn't seem to care .....the second delivery they gave us half the order cause that's all the was left on the truck and told us we have to wait week for the rest....worst company have ever dealt with...
FAMILY DANZ - OUTSTANDING SERVICE The temperature outside was in the single digits with snow and ice everywhere when we realized that our heating system was not working as it is supposed to. Our call to Family Danz Heating & Cooling resulted in Todd, a HVAC technician, without delay, appearing at our home. After a brief explanation of what was happening with our heating system, Todd [obviously a very experienced HVAC technician] assessed the problem, quickly recognizing the issue [old equipment with plugged heat exchanger] and explained the actions he would immediately take [like he owed it] to begin the process of getting our problem fixed . He turned the gas and electric supply to the furnace off to avoid a dangerous situation and assured us that help was on the way and we would have temporary heat shortly. Within two hours John Raiti, Comfort Consultant, arrived with portable electric space heaters which would become our source of heat until our new HVAC system installation was complete. John explained to us all the various options and the value of the different alternatives that were available to us. He has excellent communication skills and interacts well with the customer. He is obviously able to successfully adapt to the customer s personal style, making an experience like immediately having to replace a complete HVAC system that has failed, which can be filled with anxiety and stress, a walk in the park. He easily explained what was going to be done, to make this new most essential system that would be being installed, better than we ever would expect. He was immediately able to juggle installation schedules to address our pressing need. Knowing your product and being able to explain the functions it performs and the value it provides to the customer comes naturally to John. He is obviously highly committed to customer s satisfaction. Mel Crane, Dom Comitale and Mark Hughes arrived with the new equipment and their customer centric positive attitudes that left us with a real sense of confidence in the task ahead of them. They definitely demonstrated their deep technical experience in the HVAC discipline and at the same time being able to simply explain the functionality of the system and how it would be performing to meet the customer s expectations. They worked efficiently and with complete professionalism on the demolition and removal of the old equipment and the installation of the new equipment, answering all questions and providing complete instructions [that we could easily understand] on the operation and maintenance of the new HVAC system. They left our basement cleaner and neater than it was when they arrived. Additionally, we did have a pleasant bonus to our installation as the Family Danz owner, Ted Danz, stopped by while the installation was taking place for a chat and to extend his appreciation for our business. The value of the Bryant product, combined with the Family Danz Heating & Cooling brand s reputation, always exceeds our expectations.

I called Family Danz ( and I must admit another company first) to receive an estimate on a new boiler as mine was not working and quite old. The first company gave me estimates of anywhere between over $8000-$25,000. When Terry from Family Danz came in The first thing he did was check the old boiler and try to get it working He said to me I m not going to sell you a new boiler if the old one still works And he spent quite a bit of time trying to get the old one working. What kind of salesman doesn t want to automatically sell you a new boiler? An honest one. I was so impressed. I also was under the impression that my house didn t have a main shut off for the water. Terry went and discovered where the shut off was. Saving me a plumbers bill. I cannot say enough about the service I have received so far Unfortunately I do need a new boiler But I would not purchase from anyone but Danz. And by the way the price was over $2000 less than the other company.
We have used Family Danz on three of our homes for about eight years. We can always be assured of courteous and prompt service from, in particular, Leslie, Leanne and Michelle. They all carefully listen to our concerns and often make helpful suggestions. The technicians, specifically Kyle Anderson and Kevin Stone are always extremely prompt, usually arriving ahead of schedule, and make immediate repairs to our air conditioning and hot water heaters. Mainly, it is the comfort and trust we feel we have received with Family Danz as the reason we exclusively rely on them for heating and cooling service.

My experience with Family Danz has been nothing but positive. I recently ran in to an issue with our heat not working. Within an hour Josh & Kyle were at the house and had the whole thing figured out. They were incredibly knowledgable, and took the time to explain both what was wrong and how they fixed it. Service is excellent, pricing is fair - I highly recommend Family Danz.
Big Prices for horrible work and they will try to take advantage of you, for every dime, BEWARE They scammed my Grandmother into oil when there was natural gas connections and vents in the house just to have the oil and maintenance contracts. when maintenance time comes a 300$ part is always in need of repair although everything was fine before. Ask about water quality and tips and tech tells me call culligan

My two experiences with Family Danz this week were absolutely amazing. There was an absolute level of professionalism but with a caring twist from every employee I interacted with. One was a planned replacement of our central air system. The other unexpected when the hot water heat gave out. If I had 10 thumbs I would give them a 10 thumbs up recommendation. For me, there is no other HVAC vendor in the Albany, NY area.
Family Danz has always been a great company to deal with. We had been using their oil delivery for 5 years, until we recently switched to propane and had them install a new boiler. Their technician was so nice and professional , the process went smoothly. The new system is working great!
Great company, rapid service. I made my service call at 8:00am. Service Technician arrived at 9:30am (company located in Albany, site of repair in Schaghticoke 30 miles away). Quickly found the problem (bad capacitor). Had my unit up and cooling 15 minutes later. Very impressed. Will definitely recommend to friends, family, and anyone else.
They did reasonable well on the service. But there book keeping is garbage. Took them three plus weeks to deposit a simple check. Screwing up my account so thanks for nothing. Making my life way more difficult than it needs to be. Don t use family Danz.
Family Danz installed a new hot water heater and a new Laars Boiler furnace for my family . From start to finish kept me in the loop on the job . From sales and prices with Ted and Ed Brown ,to installation with Dan and Elijah , they all made this major project pretty seamless. Highly recommended!!

1/8/21 Family Danz came to aid with a return heating issue. They were very professional and because this was a recurring issue we were not charged for their time and effort. After investigating the return air system they discovered the blockage ( a big board and a piece of slate were blocking 99% of the air flow!) and were able to resolve all the issues. If I could have the option to put no stars I would. This is by far the worse service I have had ever. First of all I had service done on 1/27/16 it is now 2/9/16 and my issue has not been resolved. I have spoken to Diane in the office several times and been assured I would get a call back about a part I ordered and I would never hear back from her. I have called now in all about 7-8 times to try and get the honest answer about my part for my heater. I have been transferred to kaleb in services twice now and he's giving me the run around about when the part will be here. I know I have ordered plenty offline and that's the first thing they do is send you an order number to track your shipment so I'm under the assumption that my order was not placed remotely around the time I was told it was going to be ordered. I have a 5 year old and a one month old in a house that has no heat for more than 12 days now only using space heaters that are now going to rack up my electric bill... I will be astonished if I hear back from them today seeing as how I already called twice was told two different answers and now playing the waiting game again.... They are by far the most unproductive and unprofessional bunch of people I have managed to encounter in my life. I will most definitely be taking my business elsewhere and I advise all others to do the same I am now out $100 for service I never got and the extended use of my electric this month.... I hope the owner of this company gets a chance to read this and I hope the employees feel embarrassed by the actions they took to try and help a paying customer. I would also like to side note and say I had service from them about two months ago to do routine maintenance on my furnace. I got a call last week I believe on 2/4/16 from one of the office clerks asking if I had the check number because they misplaced the check I had given them. Just goes to show how organized they are I would never feel comfortable calling a customer and telling them how incredibly unorganized I was and ask for something I should have kept track of.... I would love to hear back from them but I'm sure I won't....
It is sad to give them one star review, since my job uses them, my parents had a furnace installed by them, and I have used them to repair our furnace at home, but it is the actions of a single salesperson that causes this review. On our last service visit, we were told that we would need a new furnace. Ok, no problem. The service person said he would have the sales office call us to give us a quote for a furnace. Sales office never called. Ok. We went to the home show to sepak with different companies. We spoke with Posinello fuels, who spent about 10 minutes with us telling us what to look for, etc. He even took out number so he could give us an estimate. We saw Family Danz there, and the service technician that does the work at my job. He introduced us to the salesman who was working the show, John Raiti, who just shunned us, and didn't answer any question s. Just ignored us. We walked away with the understanding that he didn't want to deal with us, so we didn't follow up with Family Danz, we called Polsinello instead.
The sales person from Posinello came over, gave us an estimate for a furnace and Central air, explained to us the rebate from National Grid, and even did the paperwork for us. we had them installed a few months ago.

Had a problem with my oil burner, called Family Danz, showed up with in 2 hrs. Explained things to me what the problem was . The tech Ben I think is very good at what he does. He does is job thoroughly.
I can t say enough about this entire process, from Mike doing my estimate to the installers Ryan and Mel, they were not only on time they were early. I am very maticulous and the installers came, put booties on their feet ( a pet peeve of mine) did an absolute perfect and very maticulous job installing my split system. I have prolonged this process for a few years now and if I had known how incredible you all were, I would have never waited. My wall unit was installed in a bedroom that has a second rectangular shaped high window at the opposite end of the unit so its placement was important to me as I did not want it to look asymmetrical and off kilter. They did an absolute perfect job and I couldn t be happier. Everyone I dealt with was beyond professional and I highly recommend them!! Don t hesitate to use this company!!! In addition they gave me the best price and I got 3 estimates, and I got a bigger BTU unit from FD than the other 2 estimates!!! It was a pleaseure doing business with them!!!
Multiple Bad experiences. First was a few years back when my furnace went. They sent a tech out who seemed great. very polite and back then seemed knowledgeable. Turns out...not so much. after replacing quite a few things on my furnace it turns out they installed the wrong regulator. It broke less than a year later so I decided to fix it myself with the help of a Friend who knows HVAC. Called the boiler company, Utica, and told them what regulator was on the unit. They advised this was not only wrong but very dangerous to have on. My unit requires a slow opening valve; Family Danz just put on what they could find at home depot that day, which Utica said could have potentially caused my furnace to shoot flames and burn the house down. Strike 1
Second experience was recently. I am building a new house and I saw family Danz was running a heating/cooling special on NEW units (figured they couldn't mess up a new unit that comes with the right parts). The home is a modular so it is physically built but not on the lot yet. After being bounced around to several people who couldn't give me a quote (because they couldn't come to the house) I finally ended up with someone who told me they would need the blueprints to the house to give me a quote. OK fine, tells me to get the email on the website.....email is not on the website, so I call and get it. Email my prints over; don't hear for 2 weeks so I send a follow up email. Still had not heard anything so I started calling to check. Got their sales voicemail multiple times where I left messages explaining that I sent the email and all my contact information. It has now been over a month and no response to date....That all being said, you can bet Family Danz has left a VERY bad taste in my mouth and not only did they completely lose this sale but any future business from me or anyone I can tell about this.
Our AC compressor stopped working with the weather forecast predicting 98 degrees the next two days. Called Family Danz and we weren't disappointed. We called and the tech Kyle was here within 1/2 hr. He had no other calls at the time . He quickly diagnosed the problem and was done within 20 minutes. The price was reasonable. Well worth the money spent. We would recommend Family Danz.
Update: I am impressed with their problem resolution. I recieved a call from the service manager, Todd. He was very professional and understanding and apologized for my frustration. He did not charge me for the service call we received and even though my boyfriend was able to (hopefully) resolve the issue, offered to have someone come out next week at no charge if we are still concerned with our furnace. Mistakes happen but the response to it is what counts. I appreciate the professionalism.
I called Family Danz this morning for someone to come out at look at my furnace. The people on the phone were nice and got someone out quickly which I was impressed with. They told me it would be $99 for someone to come out which I agreed to because I needed my furnace fixed. It is cold out after all. When the technician came over, he took the back off of my furnace, did not touch a thing and said it was the thermostat causing the issue. We went upstairs, he took the cover off the thermostat, again did nothing to really assess the issue and said he was sure that we just needed to replace our thermostat and it would stop short cycling. He seemed like he was really in a hurry to leave. Well thanks for taking my money because that is NOT THE PROBLEM! Now it's the weekend and our furnace is still not working properly.
Kyle did a wonderful job. He arrived on time. He was able to figure out what was wrong and fixed my heater right away. He was friendly, personable and was kind enough to answer all my questions. He was very knowledgeable. Thank you Kyle and Thank you Family Danz.
I met a Family Danz employee tonight and she so sweet and polite. After conversation with her she told me she was the receptionist which makes sense because she s so friendly and outgoing. Family Danz should be proud to have an employee Leslie F. and I will use this company just by meeting her. He gave me great insight about the company and I m going to take her on her word. Family Danz REALLY stepped up to help us - above and beyond. I think having the word "family" in their name means more than just the people that work there. Long story short - our dog has terminal cancer and can barely breathe. Our AC conked out during a high heat warning stretch (88+ degrees and high humidity for several days). With the temps inside the house > 85 degrees, it made our dog really struggle to breathe at all. I called Family Danz and they squeezed us in between a couple of appointments the same day. The part we needed ended up being on a 7-10 day back order but, the next day, the parts manager personally sourced it from another local company and got it to a repair person who got here the same day. I wasn't trying to play on the sympathy card with our dog, but he's a member of our family and was suffering in a big way, and the team at Family Danz realized that and took exceptional care to get us back up and running quickly. We truly appreciate their compassion and help!

A 2 part review: I recently purchased a home with a tankless hot water (also acts as heating system). Knew nothing about them! Todd from Family Danz came to do a routine maintenance. Took time to explain things to me. He located an issue but went the extra mile to ensure the repair is covered under warranty!! Then made sure I know how to bleed my radiators and where the shut off valves were!
I wanted to add central air and got 5 quotes! Danz was THE ONLY ONE to take time listen to my needs, how I would use it.. Didn't try to push splits on me (it's only a 1K sq foot house) or over sell the size of the unit! Did the estimate in front of me explaining all that would be included in the cost, the guaranty and install process..
In today's world, where the promise of " excellent customer service" is largely a myth, Family Danz surpassed my expectations..
Had a new furnace and A/C install. Was okay, but wasn't thrilled. Install staff knowledge and ability to do the job: 4.5 stars. Sales team: 1 star. Cleanliness: 2 stars. Would prefer to give overall rating of 2.5 stars, but giving benefit of the doubt. Long story short:
Salesman was disingenuous (didn't process payment like he said he would and lied to installers to get them out during a blizzard and travel ban), but Family Danz was very receptive to my experience with this person, even letting me talk to the owner Tod Danz himself about it.
Techs are knowledgeable and good at what they do. That said, they do need to be more attentive to their surroundings (furnace staff turned off gas from hot water tank and didn't turn it back on when they left, and the A/C staff disconnected the thermostat and left without reconnecting). They are also not great at leaving the place clean. Had tracks of dirt and machine fluids left after both jobs that I was left to try and clean.
Equipment is efficient and works well. Furnace is top notch! Too cold to test A/C yet though, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Basically, Danz is okay. No problem having them come by for tune ups and maintenance, but for installs, lay down drop clothes and thoroughly inspect the work area before signing any paperwork.
Had them come replace parts on my central air system and damaged my vehicle in mg garage and now deny doing any damage and think I did it myself horrible ownership and no respect for personal property's if they work for you highly recommend moving anything of value away while their working will leave you with damaged personal items
We had Mitsubishi units installed on June 8, the guys that came to do the install were great. Mike, Mel, Avery and Adam were very professional and accommodating, and very nice and pleasant to converse with. The installation went without a hitch. they cleaned up afterward and showed us how to use the units. We couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience. I would recommend this company and especially these four young men to anyone. Also at the end of the day the owner came by to make sure all went well, that's what I call service. It's nice to see the owner and the workers care about the quality and the service that is given. If we need anything else concerning heating and cooling I would not hesitate to give them a call. Excellent Job!!!
Right from the start, salesman, Cliff K. was professional, thorough and dependable. Cliff went out of his way to make sure we purchased exactly what we needed! The installation crew (Myles) were on time, efficient and clean. Great company to deal with and we are so happy with our purchase of the Mitsubishi cooling unit!

Please fine review of 4-21-2018 on HVAC hopefully they haven t taken it down. Now, September 12, 2019, still no return call from Family Danz (our last call placed 7-10-18 spoke with Lana, still waiting). Our furnace only needed a switch for the Blower, but the furnace was taken apart by one of their employees when he was Alone in the basement, without permission. Just to sell a Susie home-maker furnace, Nothing like the original. Be aware, don t be taken advantage of as we were. Apparently even the AG Office and their response is irreverent. If we need help in the Future, who do we call Ghost Busters or Family Danz?
Nancy at the office is courteous and a big help, and Doug (tech) is a great communicator. Called them late afternoon with an A/C unit that's struggling to keep up and they had Doug out first thing the next morning. Doug quickly identified the problem, offered some options, etc. Doug also took the time to place a call to me and talk through the diagnosis and the best way to approach the fix (as I was not the one at home during his visit). Very helpful and professional team. We've had a handful of different techs out at the house and have never had a bad experience or the feeling of being oversold. Recommended.

I m beyond disappointed with Family Danz. I ve been a faithful customer for about 15 years. Recently I ve had some problems with my equipment that they installed and also service annually. I have been without heat for a week (it s been in the 30 s and snowing). I have yet to hear back from the manager despite repeated attempts to inquire about when this will get fixed. I also have and pay for a Preferred Service Agreement, which is supposed to give me priority. It seems apparent they no longer value their customers or can be relied upon to repair their equipment.
UPDATE: Within minutes of posting a poor review, I received a call from Todd the service manager. He was defensive, unapologetic and argumentative. WOW. So sad to see a company I liked go completely downhill.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Family Danz agreed to partially refund the annual Service Agreement fee I paid, BUT ONLY IF I signed a settlement agreement that I NEVER post a negative review, etc. WOW.
I have been a customer for 20 years. My Mom, aunt and daughter have had units installed based on my experience with Danz. Everyone in this company is top notch from the owners, estimators, office and service people. They are prompt, explain every detail and are really nice people. After 20 years, I feel like a member of the family.
I had posted a while back about family danz and giving it one star. I've since given them another try and I must say that my opinion has changed. Requesting a delivery was fairly routine, however the woman taking the order was very nice. I had to wait several days before delivery was made. The delivery guy was very personable. At this point, in all fairness, I'm increasing the number of stars.
Nothing less than 5 Stars for product, service, and personal oversight by Mr Danz Sr! Had Mitsubishi ductless system installed by Mel & Joe, who were, as promised by John, prompt, courteous, and thorough professionals. Love the system and it s clean, quiet heat. Completely improved the comfort of the lower level of our raised ranch. The day was topped off by a personal visit by Mr Danz, who looked over the day s work. Never have I experienced or expected such quality and care of workmanship and reputation. Would highly recommend!!
My heating system broke during the sub -zero temperatures in February. I was not a currrent customer but Family Danz came out immediately and installed a new system. They were efficient, kind, neat and so pleasant - they made a horrible situation so much easier. John Raiti was beyond amazing helping me out and making sure things went smoothly. Thank you Family Danz-- you guys are great!!!
I called this morning because my Mitsubishi AC was leaking. I had someone at my house in less than 3 hours. Doug #3 was the service person (he came out once before- nice to see a familiar friendly face). He quickly determined the problem and explained what it was. He showed me the outside drain and how to check to see if it is plugged (this I appreciated) Thank you Doug #3 for your professional and friendly service!
Can't say enough nice things about these guys and the serviceman, Kyle, who came and helped me with my problem. After two days of enduring no show/no call from another company, Kyle arrived at the time I had been told and fixed the issue in a jiffy. He was polite and knowledgeable and explained the issue clearly in layman's terms for me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Family Danz to any of my friends and neighbors. Thanks!
I can't say enough about these guys! From the initial consultation with Terry, all the way through to the installation, they were professional, timely, so very very knowledgeable!! We purchased a new boiler from them. I thought it was going to be a HUGE ordeal because our basement is absolutely atrocious. I'm talking dirt floor, stone walls, steep stairs and it's super small to boot. Miles and Justin did an absolutely amazing job, and after the job was done (perfectly, I might add) the owner even stopped by to check in and make sure we were satisfied. (We were!!!) Their motto is "we treat you like family" and let me tell you what, they did!! We will be using them again and again!! I highly recommend them to everyone!!
The service was great! The maintenance guy did everything in 15 minutes. The amount that he charged for replacing a fire sensor in 15 minutes was ridiculous. I paid $186 for 15 minutes labor and a generic sensor that costs $7.25. Ridiculously expensive. I watched him doing the replacement. Next time I will be able to do it by myself. Just too expensive for this amount of work.
I'd like to submit a positive review to Family Danz. Last week I had a new Furnace & A/C installed at our home. The people who worked with us were amazing. Kudo's to: Salesman Mike Waterhouse, Adam S, Jeff Patterson, Logan, and especially to Ted Danz the owner who came by the house to check on how things were going. Great job everyone! Also....since our A/C went out in the summer--this company took the time to offer, and bring by a loaner air conditioner to get us through until the installation. Highly recommend!
This is my first experience with Family Danz. Called for help with excess mositure in home. The Tech, Jordon, was a true professional. He helped diagnose the problem I was experiencing and then walked me through the tune up process. Along the way, he answered the many questions I had about my system and how to properly maintain it. I will definitely use Family Danz again.
Probably the best service ever. Family Danz is very responsive and charges exactly what they quotes. They came for heating installation and provided everything needed.
Last Sunday, when temps were breaking records & my 98 year old mother's central air went on the fritz, , I called the company she has been a customer of forever, & was told me they wouldn't be able to come until Thursday! THURSDAY...FOUR DAYS LATER! I was beside myself & called the Family Danz on the recommendation of a good friend. Not only did they completely understand my concern, but Ken, the tech was at Mom's home within 2 hours! Grateful doesn't begin to express how we felt & we are now Family Danz clients for life!
These guys were extremely professional, highly customer oriented, and a great pleasure to work with. They answered my questions with great knowledge, and tried very hard to address some cosmetic concerns we had. They also provided some assistance to aid an elderly couple. They were also comfortable with each other and appeared to enjoy their work. I recommend them without reservations.
Larry and Tyler installed a new heating and a/c unit for us and did a GREAT job. Very neat, very appreciative and respectful of the property, very professional in all aspects of the installation. They were not instructed as to a last minute change we had made in the order but no big deal. Family Danz will be working with us to make good on this. A+++ rating for the great work and product.
Had tune-ups done this spring for both air conditioning and heating unit. service person was Ben on both occasions. I like the continuity, he is aware of my system and does great job making sure everything is working properly. He takes the time to answer questions no matter how dumb they may be. He takes a personal interest in everything he does. I have never had any issues with this company since they put the new boiler in over six years ago.....Thank you
so, came home from being away to a super hot house this weekend. called Family Danz, not only did I speak with a person but the tech called me back within minutes and came out to look at the issue in less than twenty minutes, while the issue with our system couldn't be fixed instantly, the service and professionalism was unparalleled. We will be using Family Danz from this point forward!
Called Dan's yesterday because air conditioning not working. Doug came over and was able to save us money by figuring out a,solution to the problem! Always good service from Danz.
Our old gas furnace failed recently. Family Danz replaced the unit within one day. The service and equipment are excellent and everyone was friendly and professional. I highly recommend Family Danz.

We just recently bought our home and noticed our furnace and central air hasn't been maintained in 4 years so I wanted to make sure everything was working fine without any major problems. I had a great experience today with Ben. He was very polite and showed me any problems that I had and fixed them right away.
