The Hilton is a 6-storey hotel, but the hotel's interior is clean and remodeled.

We were put up here by airlines due to a delay. There were probably enough people waiting at 10pm to fill 2.5 shuttles. Called hotel to see when shuttle would arrive we we told 1030pm. 11 shuttle finally arrived. We put our bags in back and by then seats we full. We were told an hour and maybe a shuttle would be back. We ended up taking an uber. If an airline is booking your rooms, as we know they had to call around to get rooms, I would think you would try to get another shuttle driver in to help. Other hotel shuttle were around multiple times. Same driver so not 2 shuttles. I've been in the business, I know how it can be, but it was very sad t be told "maybe I'll be back". Thank you night audit person for your pleasant attitude when you were obviously swamped.

It felt somewhat upscale and cozy. The staff were nice and always happy to give us cookies, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Everything felt nice and clean (maybe because of the new cleaning rules for coronavirus.) The bathroom counter was nice and big, plenty of space to put your toiletries. The shower in our room is my biggest complaint, it was quite narrow, I'm a small guy and I'd bump the walls turning around. There was also a half inch gap between the swivelling glass shower door and the glass stationary shower wall, which was right in the middle of the shower, so water would constantly leak/spray out.
We were there 3 nights and 2 of the 3 elevators were under maintenance the whole time. There weren't any bags in the trashes, which is not good because some garbage needs to be in a bag.

I just left this hotel the front desk manager was very very rude to me when I was trying to check in I guess because I was black she felt like I don't have money to stay at the hotel not known I'm a Hilton remember she was very short and not being helpful at all I'll never stay at this hotel

The elevator's quit working and we were on the 6th floor. Carrying luggage up and down the steps. Good exercise but not good for the elderly.

I RECENTLY STAYED AT THIS DOUBLE TREE HOTEL DURING A KNOW HOLIDAY 420.I PAID THIRD PARTY (PRICELINE). MY ROOM WAS DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE FRONT DESK AND NEXT TO THE OFFICE ROOM 105 TO BE EXACT. I RECEIVED A LETTER STATING SMOKING WAS PROHIBITED WHEN I CHECKED IN.I MUST ADD THAT IM PREGNANT AND I DEFIANTLY DONT SMOKE (ANYTHING) HOWEVER I EVEN MAINTAIN THE ROOM BY BEING ECO FRIENDLY AND DIDNT REQUIRE SERVICE OR FRESH TOWLES. I CHECKED OUT ON 4-20-15!!!!! WELL HERE COMES THE HOOK I WAS CHARGED 200$ FOR SMOKING IN THE ROOM WHICH I KNOW FOR A FACT I DIDNT. OF COURSE I HAVE NO PICS FOR PROOF BUT HOW COULD I??? I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST KAREN SHUPERT AND SHE WAS RUDER THAN RUDE AS SOON AS I TOLD HER MY ISSUE, I MUST ADD I DID GET A LITTLE EXCITED ONLY BECAUSE I KNEW THESE CHARGES WAS FALSE. SHE DID AGREE TO REVERSE THE CHARGES AND SHE DID BUT HER TONE AND ATTITUDE RUBBED ME ALL WRONG SHE BASICALLY TOLD ME IF I DIDNT CALM DOWN SHE WASNT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I wish I could give this hotel a zero rating. It was my 45th birthday July 4th 2019. I didn't use Expedia or travelocity I went directly to the Doubletree Hilton website to book my room. I upgraded to a deluxe king. With breakfast. I put in the notes the only requirement was a tub. I stay with family and only have access to a shower. I arrived around 2pm to check in early and drop off my birthday cake. I was not even warmly greeted by Angela. Angela did not like me from the jump. She sent me to my room. I went up opened my phone started recording the suite. Nice living area with couch and coffee table... swung around to bathroom... no tub!!! So I grabbed my birthday cake and headed back down to the lobby. Angela rolled her eyes at me like I was bothering her in the empty hotel lobby. I said "I stated on my reservation that I needed a bathtub and there is no tub in the room. She rudely informed me that king deluxe rooms don't have tubs and she would have to put me in a queen. I wasn't happy about this and felt downgraded. I asked if I would be reimbursed the difference. She said no. There was no difference in price. I still haven't figured out how i upgraded online and raised the price but here she said there was no difference. Wanting to get to my room I just shook my head and went back up with the cake. The second room was definitely a downgrade. No living area and 2 queen beds and again...NO TUB. So I had to go all the way back downstairs again. She was laughing at me when i came down and told me she gave me the wrong room. She had the keys ready so I went back up a third time cake in hand. This room had a tub but was like a sauna. I tried to turn the air on but to no avail. I really didn't want to talk to Angela a 3rd time. So when I returned i said,"You know what? I made a mistake coming here. Can i just get a refund and cancel this?" She informed me that there was no refund no matter what. So almost in tears I just asked to see a supervisor and sat in the lobby. By now an hour has passed. I was up @4am to work, I manage a Starbucks. I was very exhausted and mentally drained by the time the manager came to me. She was very sweet. She asked if she could buy me a drink or appetizer. I told her no. I just really wanted to go get my pommy puppy check in and have a bubble bath for my birthday. She said great! She would have a surprise for me in the room and it would all be ready when I got back. Honestly i broke down and cried in my car on the way home to get my dog. We came back the manager gave me the key i went up and got situated. I couldn't really invite any of my friends over because since my room was downgraded I didn't have the couch or coffee table. The next morning i came down for the breakfast i had paid extra for and it was a complete disappointment. The fried potatoes were tasteless and hard. The eggs were raw runny and uncooked. The ham was like out of a can. My dog wouldn't even eat it. It was so bad I didn't even go down to breakfast the next day. In fact I was checked out by 10 am. It is Monday. I still haven't received my 50$ deposit. And it was by far the worst birthday I've ever had. I'm out $422. And had a miserable time. I will NEVER stay@a doubletree Hilton again. The chocolate chip cookie was even hard as a rock. Save your money and check into a La Quinta or even a motel 6 and you will be treated to much better. Lesson learned.

This is my second time staying at this location and it won't be my last! My Husband and I stayed here and absolutely fell in love with this location. Rooms are updated and comfortable and the decor is beautiful. The front desk specialist, Chris, was kind and very accommodating. He not only got us checked into our rooms in no time at all, but continuously checked up on us throughout the night. Chris and Hannah went out of their way to make our stay a 10, thanks! We stay at Double Tree often and can definitely say this location stands out from the rest.

Hotel charged me for a night stay for a night I wasn't there. They also charged me for 2 meals at their restaurant that I didn't eat at and for a movie didn't order for 30.00. When I called the hotel this morning 3/22/18 @ 8:30 EST I spoke with a young fellow on the phone who was very rude and snappy (Kevin). He said that I had made a new reservation to extend my stay. I informed him that, that was not accurate. He said well that is what I show here sir. I said, and I'm telling you once again, that is not accurate. I explained to him that if I make the dispute with my credit card I will surely win the dispute since I will be able to show that I stayed at a different location closer to the airport on the night in question. His response was " if that is what you feel you need to do sir, feel free to do so" ,,,,,,,REALLY? This is how you respond to a Hilton Honors reward member who stays in their hotels 12 nights in 3 months time frame? I am not the guy who gets treated that way. I contacted Hilton directly who is allowing the property management to contact me directly to try and resolve the issue but at this point I am sounding the warning to others. The staff "Kevin" is extremely RUDE and apparently doesn't give a damn about customer service. If you stay here make sure you aren't charged for something you don't receive as you may also be met by rudeness and hostilities as I was. This isn't over with and I WILL get the night in question and all other bogus charges credited back to my credit card one way or another. Bunch of CROOKS!

After much effort on my part, I finally did get this resolved but I still can't and won't give this hotel a good review. The construction going on has obviously been going on since at least October and we are now in the end of March and the construction still isn't complete? And the noise they make in the morning is just over the top. So still my advice is to AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

The DoubleTree was great. The room was clean and the service at check in was very professional. My only con would be the food at the hotel restaurant and the pool. I ordered a steak and eggs for breakfast. Eggs were a weird texture and were probably just powdered eggs. The steak was also not good at all. The pool was very cloudy and made me decide to just not swim in it. Otherwise, I would recommend.

BUT. The stay was amazing!! There were absolutely no hiccups. They let me check in with my husbands points, without him being present.

The sleep was AMAZING. The bed was very comfortable. The room was updated, and well stocked with a fridge, microwave, and coffee for two..

Free shuttle to the Airport. I wish they ran them at shorter intervals, because I did have to wake up super early for my flight..

Friendly, helpful, professional staff! They have fresh remodeling underway, which seems nearly complete.

There are a few eating places a hop, skip & jump away, like fast casual Gyros, Sushi (Dragon Boat) and a great neighborhood Sports Grill called Legends, with great food & a nice local beer selection- which was convenient to walk back to the hotel after a couple of drinks and not have to drive.

We travel to Aurora for medical visits at UC Hospital. Double Tree allowed a discount for medical stays and the shuttle service was excellent from the airport and to and from the hospital. Hotel is beautifully remodeled and bed/pillows were above average and very comfortable. A refrigerator/microwave in the room would be nice but I was pleased with the size and high end decor. The gym was clean and offered limited but high end equipment. Didn t use the pool and the spa was under construction. Nice snack bar near the front desk and awesome Starbucks machines that take cards. Thank you to the staff for a very nice stay even though it was only for one night!

I am convinced that a lot of the reviews here are fake and written by management. Without a doubt, this is the worst hotel that I have ever been to. The bathtub is cracked and dirty, there's a frightening stain outside my door, the lobby has broken tiles on the walls and an assortment of old furniture thrown together in a circle. And this does not even describe everything. We paid 229 for it which was a robbery. I will never stay at another Hilton ever again because they have the gall and greed to keep a hotel like this open.

This appears to be an older office building recently rehabed into a very nice and updated hotel. Rooms were nice and housekeeping did a good job between our nights at the hotel. Our stay went as usual; no issues.

Halls and rooms are dirty. Stains on carpet. Generally needs a complete renovation. Changed to another room and same thing. I've stayed at really nice Double Trees and this is in the worst shape. As a business traveler, I would recommend another hotel in this category. HGI, Marriott or FS Hilton. Not sure how anyone rates this higher than 3 stars.
