I experienced terrible customer service in the food service area. While order food I was told a certain amount, after leaving the hotel and reaching my destination I realized I didn't receive the amount requested. I called the hotel and they redirected me to the kitchen. The young lady was rude, she did admit the number of items I ordered was wrong, I should have received more (which was a whole different number from the original number). She then continued to tell me they didn't have a gentleman working their by the description I gave her and hung up the phone. Ultimately, I ended up driving back up there to speak to the gentleman who helped me, he apologized and goes to the back to make more. While waiting the manage comes out very defensive, telling me I'm wrong and the worker told him he told the correct number. I try to explain to him that wasn't what was stated, I also called and was told a different number from a young lady I spoke with. She also stated they didn't have anyone working there that fit the description, and hung up on me. He tells me if I'm not able to give him the name of the person I spoke with than there isn't much he can do for me. I continued to tell him the lady hung up on me, so I don't know her name, this is why I drove over here. He stands there and tells me he can sell me some individually. The reasoning behind the rating two is because this is a portion of the hotel, it may not reflect its entirety, and while the manger is being defensive and argumentative the gentleman who helped me from the beginning ended up coming out giving me the correct amount that I asked for originally.

DoubleTree Hilton Denver
Great Hotel in the old Stapleton airport area. Nice amenities including Lobby bar, restaurant and all day coffee shop. Decent gym, pool and outdoor hot tub. Plenty of shops and restaurants to walk to or shuttle will run you over. Very clean, but entire hotel could use an update.
This was only my second Hilton experience, but I've never been more happy with a hotel chain. Even a silly request for a velociraptor on the bed for my son was accommodated in an awesome way. Thanks for caring about your customers!
Very nice hotel. The employees were really helpful. My wife and I wanted to know of a good place to eat, and one guy asked what we were looking for, gave us our options, helped us find out which one was the one for us, then called the place and set up a reservation for us. He even gave us a card that would get us seated ahead of others! The chocolate chip cookies that you can get anytime (day or night) were awesome. Really good stay. Would stay here again if I'm back in Denver.
Only place I stay when I'm in Denver. Have been coming here for 3.5 years now travel for work..... amazing customer service from the bottom up! They go above and beyond to "make it right" if something isn't right.
The TV is nice and really big. The room is dated. I finished my business trip a day early and called the front desk to tell them I would be checking out in the morning - one day early and they told me that they will be charging me an early departure fee of one night plus tax. Be warned. In my 35 years of business travel I've never been charged for checking out early. I'll never stay at a Hilton property again.
Attended a work event. The hotel was spotless. Love the new renovations: the coffee shop and dining area were staffed by friendly and efficient workers who got me in and out quickly.
I likes the breakfast and it was a nice hotel overall
I stayed here after United delayed my flight and missed my connection. The accommodations were very nice and the restaurant is quite good
After accidentally booking the hotel I ended up meeting Michael and he took care of everything from the start and after 7 days of work in a row this man had some amazing energy and positive vibes. If it wasn t for the area I would definitely come back. Still has nice views, just a little to much foot traffic for my liking.
Nice views, good service, and the room was very comfortable.
Very nice lobby. Great bar. Plenty of meeting space. I would recommend it.
Walls are thin, heard my neighbors fighting or something all night. Otherwise seemed good, had some construction going on. Cookies were stale lol
Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Very convenient to have the restaurant downstairs.
Truly great service, very clean. Food was impressive for a hotel, with very reasonable prices. Really fantastic, friendly, service personnel. Was here due to a cancelled flight, and it was a really pleasant reprieve from airline incompetence.
Easy to find and helpfull staff. Also, very comfortable beds. Will definitely stay again the next time I'm in Denver
Really frustrating customer service and antiquated hotel. Stayed for a week and had a myriad of issues. Their response is always "I'm sorry". Hilton needs to step up their game big time at this location.
Needs remodeling. Rooms very dated. Restaurant hostess yawning and slow. Breakfast typical.
Very nice staff, hotel room was clean, and got to love the cookies.
The maids really had no respect for the do not disturb sign on the door they still try to enter regardless. It took me 3 days to get service for my room and i asked for a specified time because i was here on business. They still tried to come in like normal routine instead of time i scheduled and they have a list as well they usually DONT follow. The gym is small which makes no sense considering the large sizes of conference rooms they have seems like wasted space with them. The pool needs to be resurfaced and clean as well.
Excellent location. Close to airport and close to everything else as well. Very comfortable beds. If you don't like going out to eat or drink, the hotel has plenty of dining and drinking options. Would definitely stay here again.
The rooms are a little bit older in style but the staff were very nice.
Very nice staffs and environment. Close to highway and other main roads in the city. The only downside is the clean crew can wake you up very early in the morning if you don't out the no disturb sign outside.
This is a perfectly fine hotel, but, like most "upper class" hotels, you will not be getting free breakfast, you will get spotty internet, but beyond that, perfectly ok.
This is a really nice place. Bar was full (yay) of people. Although socially distancing, and everyone looked happy and satisfied. Real good service checking in.
Let me say Ann the front desk supervisor was awesome! She offered us cookies with nuts but when I mentioned my son's nut allergy and we were given a nut free cookie. When we come back into the hotel with our stuff Ann called us across the atrium and offered my 2 year old a stuff animal. That made us feel very welcomed. The room was very comfortable and we were given a choice of floors. We enjoyed our stay!
Very clean and super amazing friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again.
Arrived to check in on time, walked into a line almost out the door. After waiting in line I was then told, it would be another 15-30 minute wait before our rooms were ready. Like most people in line, we had an event to get to. I think many steps could have been taken to prevent the wait, and line. For the price of the room, I am very disappointed, will not recommend, or return.
Very accommodating staff and the shuttle service was great!
Wonderful venue; courteous staff. Had a minor issue with the room which was resolved swiftly.
Extremely polite, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Thanks!
One of my fav spots to stay in Denver . Hilton just has high standards. So you already know what to expect. Will always stay here without worry, very consistently good . Good location and great restaurants nearby .
Major construction right now, but they have done well working around it and ensuring that guests are not inconvenienced. Excellent service, good restaurant and great location.
We stayed at the DoubleDree in Denver for 3 nights and had a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly when we checked in, greeting us with the famous chocolate chip cookies and welcoming us to the hotel. The lobby area has a lodge type feeling. There are computers throughout which make airline check in and boarding pass printing a very easy seamless experience. The hotel itself is very big with many conference rooms and even its own parking garage. We have Hilton Gold status, so were able to get the free breakfast buffet while we were there. While, the breakfast options got tiring on the third day it was an overall good breakfast. Make your own omelets, make your own waffles, yogurt, granola, fruit, muffins, cereal selection. The rooms were very average, we were told we were upgraded to a recently renovated room, but there was really no way to tell. Overall had a good experience, but we will likely stay closer to downtown next time we make it out to Denver.
This is a great Doubletree and the staff goes above and beyond here. This is a great operating team with attention to detail. The bed was excellent and the breakfast was top notch. Close enough to downtown, but far enough out to breathe a little!
We had an amazing stay with great service and the staff was very nice.
I love Double Tree by Holton because it is amusing Woking over there. This Hotel gives more benefits to his employees than any place that I know. I really like this place no only because of it beautiful beauty, but because they are treating all the guests with biggest respect. If you want to be happy, don't ask where to go. Just go at Double Tree by Holton because you will get back home with a smiling face.
There's a ton of amenities that were cool. The pool area is great. I like the text message for help feature. However, the beds SUCK. I woke up aching EVERYWHERE!
Very nice clean and stylish room. Service was awesome and very professional.
Clean and quiet. Good to stay for State Championships!
I had to wait over an hour for a room with a king sized bed, but the room and the hotel were nice.
Great place to stay for vacation and the people are very nice plus enjoy your nice warm chocolate chip cookie
Beds are very comfortable, rooms spotless. Staff pleasant and helpful. Has a nice indoor pool. It's pet friendly.
We haven't finished the first evening yet and unfortunately I'm giving this place 1 star based on what's expected for $150 two bed w breakfast not in the city core. My wife's primary concern is cleanliness at any hotel - the rooms do not appear up to expectation. Worn carpet, scuffed up walls, dim hallways, sheets (probably fuzz from other laundry but perception is important, but there was a lot of "fuzzies" on the sheets). Not good for me when she is bummed about a hotel and she has good reason to be.
Stayed during renovations - cookies were hard because they didn't keep them in the warmer due to front desk replacement- disappointing
No refrigerator in the room, no microwave. These are basic items even in a cheap hotel nowadays.
The rooms have been partially updated, but they still have more to do
I went only into the ballroom for Nightingale awards, and from what I saw it was very nice.
The rooms are downright old. The bathrooms are very small. I understand they plan to renovate the rooms soon, but that doesn t explain the fact that my room was high priced. Had I known the rooms were this outdated, I d have stayed elsewhere. I feel cheated.
Best hotel service and nicest staff we've ever experienced. Would give 10 stars if possible.
Wish they had fridge and microwave. Rooms are clean, staff is nice.
Cosigner service was excellent. Shared spaces are lovely. The rooms themselves are starting to look a bit dated.
Attended a very large professional development conference here, and the staff was amazing in bringing in more chairs as we needed them, they kept the water stocked and cold and kept the restrooms clean and stocked. We had 1100 people in attendance. Huge thank you to the staff!! Gave a 4 because parking was really tough.
I haven t been there yet but at least one person is going to look at this and say this a a complete waste of time who would take time out their dinner to write this stupid stupid review But I gave us five stars for no reason
Free cookies. Hit tub open late. What else is there?
Reserved a nice room. Got to the place and waited 20 minutes just to be told they gave my room away because apparently this is an auction house and the highest bidder gets whatever room they want. They tried to make up for it and gave us 2 joined rooms but when we got to the rooms neither of the doors opened to our keys and people were already inside of them. Went back downstairs just to wait another 20 minutes and be given a tiny basic room. Only reason it doesn t get a 1 star is because the view was half decent.
I love their cookies. Only reason I stay at the double tree is for their cookies. Also the quality of their rooms are consistent.
Accessibility is horrible! Wheelchair accessible elevator is a nasty service elevator. Lift to the pool area doesn't work properly. Public bathroom on the 8th floor is not accessible at all!
Great service. My room was super clean each day of my stay. Very friendly staff.
As a Hilton Honors member and frequent traveler this hotel's policies and staff ensure you are inconvenienced, insulted, or charged for common industry services found complimentary elsewhere.
BED BUG ALERT!! (See pictures for proof) I stayed here from February 2, 2019 to February 5, 2019. 1st NIGHT - BED BUGS (1st move): I wake up at about 1am to a bed bug biting me right behind my ear! I didn't realize it at first until I reached behind my ear and felt something moving. I jumped up and noticed a critter moving across the mattress. I immediately grabbed a tissue and killed it (see picture for the dead bed bug). I didn't know what a bed bug was until I searched online and saw that it was identical to what I just killed and that when you kill them it leaves a blood smear. I called management and they moved me right away into another room. They offered to heat treat my clothing and I gave them everything because I did not want to bring any uninvited guest into my home! 2nd NIGHT - PLUMBING ISSUES: Second night in a new room. I went to take a shower and the tub was not draining properly, so I ended my shower early because it was not draining. I contacted management again and they offered to move me again into another room. Unfortunately, they attempted to move me into a nearby room where the bed bugs were found. I learned that bed bugs spread easily via carpeting, bedding, and foot traffic, so I did not want to be on the same floor and run the risk of bringing bed bugs home with me. They eventually moved me into another floor. Going on to second move and having to pack everything up again! 3rd night - PLUMBING ISSUES AGAIN: After a long day, I come back to my room to take a shower and I was just in disbelief! I started taking a shower and the water was not draining again! This time, it was so clogged that I could not finish taking a shower. They called a maintenance tech and he had to remove the drain to get the water to go back down. I had to sit there and wait until they fixed it to finish taking a shower. After that ordeal, I jump into bed to relax after a long day and now the TV was not working! I had to call them again and have another tech come to address the issue with the TV. Finally, by 1AM, I was able to settle in...so much for a restful and relaxing stay at a hotel! Overall, I spent most of my time in the hotel dealing with management, worried about bed bugs, taking half showers, and calling for repairs. I was in the middle of interviewing for fellowships and spent most of my time worried about my stay instead of preparing for my interviews. This is simply unacceptable and very disappointing. I did not expect this from a Hilton property. Please don't make the same mistake that I made. Management rewarded me some points to make up for the issues, but come to find out the points awarded were only good for about a 1 night stay. I called back to attempt to get more points to make up for issues and I spent most of my time arguing with the manager about the points awarded. They finally transferred me to another person and advised that they will ask for a point increase. It is unclear if those points will ever be awarded at this point. I don't think that measures up to the level of inconvenience, mental stress, and health scare that I experienced during my stay. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
Always a good stay. Good food and drinks at the bars.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, and easy access to downtown and the airport.
Friendly staff, nice accommodations, great little bar.
Lobby was the bomb. Rooms bombed. Staff made it right!
Nice place. Clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was decent. Lobby was large and check-in and check-out was quick. The bar closed at midnight and that could be inconvenient for some. Gift shop was also convenient.
Spend more time here then I care to admit. But they are fantastic here.
Very outdated and disappointing. The bar and restaurant staff are not so pleasant. The pool area is in urgent need of repairs and upgrades. The rooms are very very disappointing with peeling wallpaper, windows have rust around seals, outdated furniture and bathrooms. I would not recommend staying here if you are used to nice and quality. Should 2 stars not 3.5
