Beautiful hotel,excellent staff!! My family and I loved the pools and facilities EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS!
Loved everything but the BEDS very uncomfortable, my neck is still hurting, i will encourage any one staying there to BYOP ,yeah bring your pillows,my bed felt like my it was uneven and my feet sat higher than my feet! Weird and uncomfortable!!stayed 3 nights could not wait to he back home.

Conducting a site visit at the property for a future event and I have to say that not only was the property gorgeous, the staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful and the views of both the ocean and city were unbelievable. The rooms were top notch, beds were comfortable and bathroom was amazing. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of the food, competency of the chefs and super awesome presentation. I look forward to hosting my event here in April 2019, but plan to come back for a personal trip as well. Thank you Diplomat!

Hotel and room were great. However, the COST of everything else is CRAZY expensive. A glass of wine or pina colada, $15!! Two candy bars were $5. Breakfast buffet, close to $40 a person. We had breakfast off site of the hotel, as well as dinner. Also, TONS of kids. If you are looking for quiet, don't go here. I almost forgot...there is a hotel "fee" that includes lounge chairs by the beach. If you want an umbrella, guess what? That's an extra $20 each day!! Also, construction was taking place, and the sound of the jack hammer going all day by the pool was annoying.

This is my first time giving 1 star for a hotel. Not worth time and money at all. The first room that we had were filled out hairs in bath tub which is not belonging to us.and then I went to complain in the front desk. The first lady was like, "do u want to change the room? I can do this for you. Or I can ask the house keeper to clean it for you." I was really tired being out all day. So I just asked for house keeper to come to clean it. The house keeper came, and they used hair conditioner to clean my tub !!! I am not kidding !I watched it when he was doing it . I went down and complained again. They Changed the room for me. However , the second room is also dirty. The water is filled with black stuffs . I went down and complained again. They Changed another room for room. At that time, it's already really late. I wasted hours on something I shouldn't worry in my vacation. The last room is also not clean. You can see in all my pictures. This is not a 4 stars hotel should be like. I was too tired. I gave up.
There are minor problems, coffee cups have been used, but never been replaced. Pillow is dirty with black mark. They only give out conditioner n body wash, unless u ask for shampoo? The water sink is stuck. Coffee stink on the floor. There are more. This is a bullsh*t hotel .

The diplomat is a very nice Hilton property. However there is probably a few things that you should know. Bring your big boy wallet or your own can of pringles. The cost for pringles in the hotel store is almost $7 and I trust from a prior review that a drink from the bar exceeds $20. We checked in early which werr great but the room dis not have sufficient wash cloths or towels for 2 people. After our request to the front desk it took almost an hour to receive those items. Last but not least, the parking bridge was broke on our trip. It made getting across the street from the parking lot difficult in rainy weather. I would definitely recommend but bring your own supply; liquor, snacks and water.

Here for a meeting with my husband. So unexpected in the most pleasant way. I haven't walked by one employee that didn't go out of their way to provide a kind word or service. Fish Tacos at the pool are a must. Wonderful guacamole and very fresh tortillas

A beautiful hotel with great customer service and good amenities. However, I won t rate it 5 stars because there wasn t water in the room, any robes, and we had to request a couple of items like soap and conditioner since it wasn t provided. This Isn t a cheap hotel, so we were obviously expecting all of this items to be in the room. Also, we ordered some drinks at the bar, and we were charged at time of check out, even though we paid with cash right before we left the bar. At the end it was taken care of, but obviously the bartender kept the money, and this demonstrates lack of organization.

To much happened in 3 days. Never again. This is not our first stay at The Diplomat and I don t think this would ve ever happened with the Westin diplomat . Horrible

Beautiful hotel. They have all ammenities. Staff was amazing

Terrible experience at this hotel which was recently taken over by Hilton. Booked through Travelocity. Paid for an Ocean View Room. I had the pleasure of looking at the parking garage all weekend. They blame Travelocity for an improper description of the room. Upon checking out I was overcharged $600 and now have to dispute this with my credit card company. To top of off, the valet was extremely rude, and upon inspecting my vehicle there was a dent in the door. They filed a claim, but I noticed on the claim that they are basically not responsible for any damage to the vehicle while in their possession. We'll see what happens. Overall terrible stay at this hotel. I don't recommend it, there are much better hotels in the area.

What a beautiful hotel . Even when you are inside looks like outside

Disappointing...so many issues. Long walk from parking garage, dragging bags up & down stairs, room w/balcony worthless upgrade as noise pollution from air handlers atop parking garage made it unbearable to be outside, filthy hallway carpets & elevators, even hair in tub! Long waits for food, no answer from call to front desk / room service. Took 4 calls to Hilton s support to correct overcharge for room & breakfast. May be acceptable for vacationing families, but not for business travel. Never again.

Paid for ocean view, and was given a room with ac units directly in front of the filthy windows. The AC units next to the room hummed all night. The hotel staff refused to compensate me or switch rooms.

Only went for work as security guard. Seems like a nice place to hold an event. Currently the IAC national summit is on its 3rd day. Trump going to be there only God knows why cuz south FL don't like him n he's not Jewish.

Very nice beach resort. Lots of dining options. 5 stars all the way!

The facility is beautiful, but the restaurant service at breakfast one morning was especially poor, and I felt like they were price gauging at every turn. Gratuity was automatically added and we were only a party of 2. Though our room was clean and the housekeeping staff were trying, we were never given clean hand towels. And no fan in the bathroom? It just seemed incongruous for a resort such as this.

The pool manager and his staff were excellent, very helpful and courteous. Also the staff at the desk and the ice cream shop were great. I will definitely be coming back.

I still have not received my credit. Going on 5 months now..... Hilton customer service had been no help.... is this hotel running a scam? are they open?

Beachfront property. Got upgraded to a suite with Ocean view. Great for business travel and conference venue. 15 mins from the FLL airport. $30 parking. Convenience store is open 24 hours. Restaurants are ~20 mins walk from the hotel. Gym is well-equipped.

Beautiful beach! Excellent location near restaurants, shops and supermarkets. There is public descent through Hallandale Beach. You can rent umbrellas and deck chairs per day, kayaks, jetskies and surfboards. Very quiet, few people and family atmosphere.

It sucks! Use to be a great place, before they changed everything to a party house. If your not into drinking and posing it not for u. The Waitresses care more about the way they look. Instead of pleasing the customer. As for the decor it doesn't work for me.

I visited The Diplomat to attend a conference. I reserved a room with a king bed. So as part of a couple the hotel clerk asked if I wanted 2 queens and I said no. He said the king rooms are all on lower floors and I would not have a view. I said I don't care. He said I can wait for a better room to become available. I again told him I don't care. He told me o would not get a balcony again, I didn't care. Eventually, though he wore me down and I accepted a queen room. It was nice and roomy and the view was to die for, the balcony was one on the best features. The hotel is huge. There are 2 pools and private access to the beach. It would be great if they made one of the pools adult only. The beach is not crowded behind the hotel. The drinks at the hotel bar we're very expensive $15 a pop. I splurged and got one and they were very tasty. I didn't care for the room service menu. For dinner, there were not many options and the hotel restaurant is way over priced. The breakfast menu is also very small and expensive, prompting me to get up and go out for breakfast.

The room service and food is great. But the pool is always crowded. In the website they said that they would offer 2 complimentary 'welcome water bottles, but we never got them.

A very luxurious and pleasant place you have everything there .. jacuzzi breakfast .. it hurts I could only stay one day..the view from the 15th floor spectacular from the balcony.I felt like in the movies

A high-end hotel with, spa, restarants, lounges, beach and pools in the heart of Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

The location is great. The pools and beach area were both very good. The rooms were modern and clean as was the rest of the resort.

There are quite a few dining options, many of which were over-priced to various extremes. The worst offenders were the pre-prepared foods (Counterpoint and Canteen) which carried offensively high prices. The actual reasturants were enjoyable with the burger location being very good. The lunch options on weekdays are very limited.

The staff was competent, but nothing special. During my 4 days at the resort there were exactly 2 staff members who were friendly (The dry cleaning room valet and the hostess at the burger reasturant). The other staff members did their job, but didn't seem interested in being there and certainly didn't put in any more effort than the absolute minimum.

This hotel is spectacular! The hospitality is amazing! Check in was awesome because of Jacqueline! She was very professional and she was informative about the property! The room was breath taking and the balcony view! The poolside restaurant was amazing as well...thanks to Ryan Chuck! He treated us like family. Very professional and answered all questions that we had! I will definitely be staying there next time I m in the area! Ryan Chuck deserves a raise due to his hard work and running around making sure everybody in my party of 8 was taking care of! Thanks to the Diplomat and it s employees for treating us like family! We felt at home and comfortable!

I stayed here for my birthday and a orchestra concert. I arrived with my family after work on a Friday. We had plans for dinner which was going to be late, unfortunately. However, we were also meeting friends and when we arrived (be aware that valet per day is $41 per day) my husband checked in our luggage and we waited at the bar to get a snack and drink. When we arrived to our room our luggage was still not there. We called down and were told they would bring it up right away. After another 30 minutes we called back down and was transferred to another line, for which, noone answered. I called back and could not get anyone to answer. I eventually had to go down myself and was told they only have 2 people working. I spoke to the manager who offered to wave the resort fee of 30 per night and the valet parking fee. Needless to say we ended up having to eat at the hotel because the kids had already fallen asleep.
When I checked out...the manager who waved the fees was not there and I only got the resort fee waved. He did not wave the valet fees. Many other hidden fees such as breakfast was 35 per person including kids. Just be cautious with promised amenities as they do not stand by there word. I gave it 2 stars only because the facility is nice, however, the service is by far the worst of any Hilton I have ever stayed at.

The resort is extensive and has many dining options albeit expensive dining options. The lobby is inviting, and the staff are courteous and helpful. One thing that could improve is the cleanliness. The housekeeping staff only gives partial effort when cleaning guest rooms.

Beautiful amazing property, WEAK on customer service. Following dropping $1k at the spa, we watched food runners take our food twice to the wrong table. Service in the Point Royale was excellent, but please note, we ate the buffet.

The beach staff was disappointing standing around, talking in 2s & 3s. We arrived at 830am on a Saturday. Most of the front row chaise lounges were taken. We were not greeted or welcomed. We asked and were told the beach opens at 930am. We asked and were told to go wait for someone to give us towels. We had to wait for someone to come and give us towels while groups of 2 and 3 employees stood around gossiping.

We set up our chairs on our own.

FIVE STAR HIT.I say this because everything is so nice.Has good food,has a very amazing gym,and a spa that will make your day.

Diplomat on the beach was fantastic. Modem clean rooms. Some renovation gong on but it did not detract from my stay. Would recommend for families and singles.

Went here on our honeymoon and got free upgrade to corner suite. Very Very Nice.

I stay here once a year for a work conference. The hotel is right on the beach. They have a gym, restaurants, spa, and hotel rooms overlooking the ocean. Staff is always courteous.

Rooms were ok. Pool and hotel were very nice. Staff was great. The conference center was amazing. There was construction on our side of the building so we didn't have access to the balcony. Otherwise it was great.

Terrible brunch. Large resort with lots of crowds, line-ups and a general theme park feeling. If you want to relax, and where the staff are kind and make you feel human, choose elsewhere.

I just checked in,charges me 1050 for the week for possible damages,which the room is already messed up. The furniture is all messed up,they got some couch here that looks like they got it out of the trash and the room wasnt properly cleaned ( ask for it to be cleaned and they sprayed air freshner)and worse of all my toliet has mold on the back of it.only good thing is the view but the balcony looks like crap with cracks and possible spit from chewing tobacco.

This hotel is beautiful. The views are spectacular since it is right on the ocean. I attended a professional social event and the accommodations were excellent. The food was good, and the staff very efficient and friendly. I stayed overnight and got a room in the north tower. The view from the room was limited, and I wish I would have been made aware that an upgrade was available. The parking was expensive for being a guest overnight at almost $40. This is my only complaint about the hotel. Overall great stay.

Where can I start!!! Amazing hotel! Great location! First class service! Right off the beach! Pools were amazing! In the center of everything! Good restaurants surrounding! The PLACE TO BE!!!!!!!
