Very pleasant!! The staff members are amazing. They know the complex and offer wonderful recommendations. Great place to hold a conference. We will return with the family!!
It's a beautiful nice place and clean and good service nice place to enjoy with the family
Nice place. Pricey food market inside, average service
Besides for having a gorgeous property, our pool attendant Harley went above and beyond to take care of all of our needs on numerous days. She was by far the most memorable part of the stay. Thanks Harley!
Staff discriminate based on how you look before allocating a room. Everyone agrees it's overpriced for what you get. Housekeeping is honestly horrible. They don't even vacuum the rooms, and therefore the carpets look bad.
Great fun, plenty to do and shout out to Jean Louie the beach guys and the young gentleman who attended the kids water park . Amazing service. Bartenders were top notch
Amazing hotel. Great service and amazing amenities. This is a must stay.
Neka at the front desk was friendly and thorough. Lots of food options and amenities. Great beachfront location--I have a breathtaking oceanview from my room. The huge lobby has a relaxing, tropical feel. My room is immaculate, spacious, and decorated with a calm coastal vibe.
Poor room service and way over rated. Not a 5 star at all. There was always some kind of issue. Restaurants we're horrible. Food was a 2.. don't wast your money
Fine overall. Getting a bit rough around the edges.
A lot has changed since they renovated the Diplomat, and not for the better. The hotel is visually appealing and clean, but the transaction and staff are cold.
Valet has increased exponentially for no real reason. As Hilton Honor members we are to have bottled water in the room, but not here. Here you get tokens at the front desk, then take those tokens to a shop in the lobby to redeem for room temperature water. To get out to the pool there is security checking for wristbands, odd, but I get it. The room service menu is 6 items for dinner... Such a selection is pretty pathetic when you boast about the various restaurants on site. The hotel brought us one table setting and when we called to ask for a second setting we were told it would costs additional money to send someone up.
It s the little things that used to make the Diplomat special and unique. Now it s the little things that make the Diplomat feel cold and generic. For a $550 a night room you would think the service would be top notch, but at the Diplomat the service will cost you extra.
If I could give 0 stars for my room I would. My husband & I stayed at the Diplomat for our first wedding anniversary & we were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. It was DISGUSTING & disgraceful! The shower was filled will black mold everywhere and it looked like it hadn t been cleaned in months! Health hazard!
We will NEVER stay there again!
Nice hotel, excellent pools and restaurants. Fun for the whole family.
Very spacious, well equipped and clean rooms! Wonderful view of the ocean even in my partial ocean view room. The room amenities included a fridge, Keurig - like coffee maker, smart TV, large stand alone tub and balcony with room for two to sit. The room was quiet in spite of being near the elevator and across the hall from the ice maker. All staff were friendly and helpful!
Excellent hotel with games for children, on the beach
Very well managed and organised. Catered food was amazing
Amazing hotel with a 5 star pool and ocean view. Worth a visit if you're in the Hollywood, FL area.
Nice resort! Great place to stay! Right outside of Miami Beach
True 5 stars after the construction is finished perhaps.
The staff was AWESOME, room was Great and I really enjoyed my stay.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Only reason for 4 stars is the lack of realistic eating options for families and regular people.
The Diplomat is a great venue for a meeting with attached convention hall on multiple floors. This is perfect for me since i am local and can drive in to get my CME credits. They have a Nice parking set up for 15 dollars a day across the street in the parking garage. Hotel and pool area is right on the beach for sun worshippers. Very modern upscale interior decor. Thank you to the Diplomat. They exceed expectations.
Great place to stay with family or friends upscale restaurant and many amenities.
This hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms and hallways have a cute "beach day/beach getaway" theme. There is a mini fridge and ice bucket/cups in the room, but no microwave or in-room coffee maker. The balcony at the time of our stay (June 2017) is not accessible, although there is a nice view of the beach.
So far I m enjoying myself.... love the water!!!! Rooms are comfy too. I ll write a review later ... I m having fun ;)
Very easy to find. The convention center was very clean and very well laid out. Beautiful location. Access to Beach and pool for all guests and for people attending convention events.
I felt compelled to write this review after the superb service I received today. I was at the resort to work an event for my company and David at valet went above and beyond the call of duty. I can't say enough nice things about him. I felt so horrible because I had no cash and I couldn't use my only credit card to charge a tip - apparently valet doesn't do that! The Diplomat is lucky to have a guy like David. He makes a great first impression. With that being said, the resort is gorgeous. The view is incredible.
We stayed at the Diplomat Resort & Spa for 4 nights for a vacation. As soon as we went to check in the concierge was very accommodating, she placed us in a room with a long sized bed and walk on balcony as we were in a room with double beds and no balcony.
large well designed hotel. Hate a resort fee. worthless.
I only dropped a relative off. But they told me they had a nice stay. The breakfast was expensive though
Beautiful location. Individual staff excellent however I had too many issues to be able to rate any higher. Will not be returning.
There was construction at the time, but I hardly noticed with all the wonderful sights and people! Amazing food and service.
Check in was on time no complaint about that But when I Got to the room bam , the bathtub was full of the previous customer hair , I was all excited to get into the bath tub but when I saw that all the excitement went away . I was with my girlfriend and the mood happy mood completely Changed . How is it possible that such a prestigious hotel does not check a bath tub unbelievable!!!!! The hotel cleaned the room but never offered even a complementary water for the disastrous incident . The diplomatic just lost a loyal customer to them ...!!!!
Personally, I loved everything about this hotel except the prices of the food. The grocery story in the resort charged me $3.25 for a can of creme of soda.
The diplomat is an iconic hotel. The pools are gorgeous, but the rooms and hotel itself could be nicer.
The ambiance of the place it self is great. I loved going out to the pool and having the option of going to the beach as well.
We stayed at the Diplomat from Dec 29, 2018 to Jan 2, 2019 and were very happy with the hotel in general. There were a few issues that I could pick at like very slow service at Playa (it really shouldn't take so long to make a salad!) and it sometimes took more than 10 minutes for a server to get to me at one of the outside bars. Extra wait staff and bartenders would have been nice, especially over the busy holidays.
Our king suite was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids 4 & 8). The room and hotel was very clean and well maintained. Being able to text the concierge and get an answer and resolution almost immediately was a great feature. I never met Timothy or Lekeisha but they were great help via text!!
The hotel seems to have an identity issue when it comes to families though. It seems to want so badly to be a hot spot for trendsetters with it's upscale restaurants, bars and glass bottom pools but there are just so many families with small kids that I thought it needed to be a little more family friendly (better room service options, more family dining options, possibly some poolside activities for families). With that being said we will be back with the kids in the future.
Overall we were very happy with the hotel. Location is great and access to the beach, pools and outside dining was very easy. Daily morning buffet at Portico had just about everything you could want to eat (but why keep moving the omelet and waffle station to a different location in the restaurant every day??) The kids also had a great time at the saltwater pools, beach and splash pad.
Thanks for a great holiday!!
It's very neat, and with lots of hard working staff.
The staff and management are wonderful. We were standing in line to check in and a man not behind the desk saw us there. He went behind the desk and waved us forward and very nicely checked us in. It turns out he was the manager of the hotel, William! It was an amazing experience in an excellent hotel!
Excellent place to eat, but be prepared to spend a larger amount of money (35 dollars for breakfast).
This hotel is the best for photos with beach atmosphere, an expensive but worth every penny. You must be a guest or visitor of one so that they do not bother you when you take your photos.
Very fancy and friendly place with very good service....
Excellent hotel our 4 time there and we were there 3 weeks ago we had the new room that they build and it was great they extended the hotel and a lot of activities for kids recommended to go
Beautiful room overlooking the ocean...staff was very easy to work with especially Elizabeth and Abraham who both provided exceptional service with regard to my needs throughout the conference!
The room was very nice with a great view and a deep bath tub. I was surprised at the level of customer service apart from the front desk. The staff at the CounterPoint Coffee shop and the Canteen were rude with looking at the phones while cashing me out and acting like I was interrupting them when no other customers were around.
I scheduled a massage at the spa inside the hotel. The menu was out-of-date in the room so all of the information had changed. I called the extension and when there was no answer I left a voicemail. I did not receive a callback to I tried calling again two hours later. Phyllis answered the phone with an unfriendly tone. This was my first time staying here and using the spa services so I was told one thing about pricing but Phyllis argued and spoke over me telling me I was wrong. I do not support the idea that the customer is always right but I do expect to be spoken to in a courteous manner and listened to with respect. I decided not to schedule the massage over phone and instead visit the spa in person to speak directly to a person. I met Phyllis and she was slightly nicer when I approached her in person. I asked Phyllis to adjust my massage time when it was less than 24 hours before my previously scheduled massage. Even though it states in the rules that it's not allow she obliged. When I checked out Phyllis has spoken to her director and added an extra discount to my bill so I do appreciate and recognize that she did a nice gesture after it was clear I was upset by our initial interaction.
I scheduled the massage and it was AMAZING with Daniela. I prefer a firm pressure so I can feel things being worked out but the signature massage is light to medium pressure. Daniela was so great, even though the pressure was lighter I still felt how effective it was with working things out. I felt very comfortable with her and was able to relax. She provided great conversation.
The hotel has incredibly nice amenities and beautiful decor but my stay would have been improved if I hadn't encountered rude personnel at the Counterpoint, Canteen, and the spa.
Stayed here with my wife and kids before a cruise. Ocean view room was great. Staff were very friendly from the valet team out front the the front desk and the house staff.Everything about the property was top notch.
This is the best hotel my family and I have ever stayed at. We come here for vacation often from Orlando and we would never think of trying out another hotel because this one is all around perfect. The staff, the pool, the beach, the rooms, just everything is perfect. Not to mention it is SUPER CLEAN! Love this place.
It was nice, could use a real gift shop, and more information on restaurants in the area.
