Really good hotel, beautiful pool and comfortable ...
Really good hotel, beautiful pool and comfortable room.
Really good hotel, beautiful pool and comfortable room.
The resort is gorgeous. The pool is amazing. Jet skis available on the beach. The concierge service fast and friendly. Restaurants worth the prices.
Absolutely Amazing! Spent our honeymoon here. We plan on visiting every two years now. Staff is amazing, kind, helpful, and fun!
Our room was very clean. As soon as we walked in we had a very clean smell. Not one compliant about our stay!
Thanks Diplomat Beach Resort for making our honeymoon a memory we will always cherish!
Excellent location with a beautiful lobby and nice restaurants. The outdoor pool is a place to relax....
I've stayed at The Diplomat twice with my boyfriend, and have had an amazing time both times.
The staff are so friendly, nice, and professional, and the hotel/resort itself is beautiful.
There is a private beach that you can access with your hotel key card, as well as 2 beautiful pools. The food is great, though I've only had their breakfast smoothie (totally recommend the peanut butter banana one) and salad for lunch (we went out for dinner).
There's a decent gym, which you can access with your key card that has your standard treadmill, elliptical, stationary bikes, and some weight machines.
I've heard wonderful things about their spa, though I didn't take advantage of it during my stay.
The only negatives I can think of is that their WiFi situation was a little confusing. I think WiFi is included in the resort package (which is included as part of your fee), but when you try to log in, the site says that it would charge the room extra....?
I'll have to confirm with the front desk the next time I stay here.
Overall, I highly recommend this place, if you want to stay in a high end hotel/resort. Great staff and beautiful space.
location and facilities are nice. House keeping always forgot one or two things every time during my 3days stay.
e.g. coffee portion was not replaced, clock was still daylight saving. There is obiously no mulple checks across days by seeing clock adjustment. It seems no recheck mechanism once the clock adjustment was skipped by something like DONOT DISTURB.
Waves are too high for kids. Go to southshore for more kid friendly shores. Rooms are modern and clean. Facilities is well maintained. Location is really good. Pool is very nice also. So if your trip is not intended for kid and beach combo, you wont be disappointed.
LUXURY, LUXURY, LUXURY...EVERYTHONG IS AWESOME....WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!!
This place is so beautiful! It has everything you need to relax and have a fantastic vacation. I was there for close to a week with my kids and husband and we all had a blast. The restaurants there are so good and top notch. You have to try the breakfast buffet. It had everything your heart desires. The playa by the pool had good food with reasonable prices. The hotel has a very nice vibe and the personnel were super nice and accommodating. The only negatives were of course the price or their drinks were a bit high and you have to Uber if you want to explore other places. Nothing is in walking distance.
Beautiful property. Beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean from the double-decker pool (one pool elevated over another). Ample parking across the street. Uber fare to South Beach is reasonable.
Everyone around here is so friendly and we feel so welcomed.
The management went out of their way to salvage the trip. Had a handful of issues that were ultimately addressed. Overall, I felt some of the resort amenities were a bit overpriced. The location looks amazing post renovation.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and so is the rest of the resort. Overpriced drinks and food, but everything else was great!
The Diplomat is one of the nice higher-end hotels of that brand. Service is spot-on rooms are clean food is great. Great space for convention. We are hosting one this week there. AV team is highly recommended and their event staff is very detailed and oriented.
Amazing customer service! Great food! Traveled here for a conference and the hospitality was unbeatable. Pools were clean and beaches were also cleaned by staff. Very friendly and I would highly recommend !
Great rooms and friendly employees who make sure you have all you need. Beautiful pools and good beach access. The food is delicious as well!
I loved it so much I didn't want to go home and now I'm in crappy Ohio
Dinner at Diplomat Prime was delicious and reasonably priced considering the ambiance and the quality of service and food.
It's a gorgous resort with a great outdoor area. Valet is nice, and service at the pool is nice
Beautiful. Has many restaurants to choose from. The room was nice with a beautiful view. The event there came out very nice. I would stay there again
Terrible experience!!! When the noise of drilling woke me up in the morning, I called front desk for help. They just let me wait until the noise stop itself! There was no compensation or any word of comfort! I felt like my whole morning was destroyed!
Amazing resort, great views, relaxing time. Pricey but worth the splurge.
This Resort is giant with first class amenities. Very friendly staff. The Diplomat is located right on the beach, and the casino is nearby.
It was nice. The bathroom was pretty amazing actually, but the rest of the rooms were nothing special.
We kept having room service come and asking us turn the music down even though it was literally music PLAYING FROM A CELL PHONE. I think we had Hilary Clinton staying nextdoor. Don't stay if you will be louder than a cell phone after 10pm.
Be very careful with this hotel, they do not tell you the truth about all the prices, after they take away the fee of $ 75, the next day they send you a bill in the room of almost $ 100 as if you consumed something from the store, and they withdraw money of your card two more times without your authorization and what we had bought we paid all cash, they are criminals, then when you claim they tell you how in 5 days they return that money to your card, speak clearly and do not deceive more customers , ask first what they will charge you, because they do not speak to you with the truth or speak to you clearly, they only tell you to withdraw $ 75, and then they take three times, they charge you for everything, for walking, for looking at the hotel, for laughing, for blinking, for coughing ...
The staff was friendly but not exceptional. At this price point I expect exceptional service. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and the ambiance is perfect. If you are on a budget I don't recommend this property because parking could run $22 per day, to purchase a soft drink on property is approximately $4 and the nearest market is more than 10 miles away. The pool and beach is absolutely gorgeous but so are most of the beach properties on the strip.
My husband booked this resort for my birthday get away and it was horrible. Entering the lobby the tropical atmosphere seemed to be promising. I was a bit taken aback after checkin when the front dest lady pointed to a basket in the corner and informed us to grab a water before heading up. Entering the assigned room, it was extremely stuffy, my throat itched at the poor circulation made my head hurt. The view was beautiful though. We opened a window assuming it would help, with the ac at 65 the room felt like 80 degrees. We then decided make dinner reservations when we picked up the phone the receiver was wet, moisture had built up. Still thinking it may be us we decided to get ready for dinner. Under the sink was wet and moldy... disappointed we went to ask for another room, got offered the room below. As we entered the room seemed better and so we requested a late check out. As the night progressed the poor room circulation was evident. With the Ac at its lowest we spent the night sweating and my head splitting. I had to ask my husband if we could leave and left the resort at 7am, just out of frustration. Received a $50 credit which was eliminated by the parking charges. We have a spa appointment set for later hopefully its not a complete loss as the room. By the way dinner at prime was AMAZING!
Very nice, clean, comfortable.
Good deal. Very good everything.
I recommend it.
Came back in November 2015 again for another convention. It's now a Hilton property but the beds remain comfortable. Once again I enjoyed my stay here. I imagine it a great place to bring your family on the weekend (probably not crowded) and you can have the pools and the beach all to yourselves - no convention goers use the pools tbh.
I stayed here for 3 nights for a big convention. It was spacious enough to never make me feel being crowded in and yet designed in such a way that it actually felt inviting and cozy. The grounds (pool area) are nice. I loved my room which had a balcony with an ocean front view overlooking the pools. The view was simply gorgeous at night and serene during the day.
The bed was the Heavenly Bed and it was as comfy as you'd expect. The bathroom was my favorite part: the bathtub was huge and facing the TV. Several coworkers also commented on how they took advantage of the nice set up every night to relax after a long work day.
Not good , unfortunately there is not good things to say about 100 million hotel. I was there Sunday memorial weekend, first hotel crew was not prepare for the amount of people that was there, the check ins instead 4pm they took until 6:30pm or 7pm. The rooms jaccuzzy water was yellow, I could not give my daughter a bath there. The pool area nightmare , not enough towels, people everywhere , food in the floor, not clean at all. We came down to the pool area at 11:pm and the pizza boxes were still around in the floor and on top of the chairs. And on top of all that they charge to my card $100 extra that after a week has not been refund to my account.
High class hotel. 2031 is the corner kings bed room with hudge balcony. You will be suprice the view. Perfect for romantic night. I will come here again.
Point Royal provided good service and ambiance. Although the service was a bit slow at times the dishes were excellent.
By far my favorite hotel. They help make your stay so enjoyable. I cannot wait to bring my family there again!
This hotel is beautiful and it has very nice restaurants
Very nice modern hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Beautiful views from all sides. I visited on a rather busy weekend and I believe they were understaffed and overcrowded. The pool was not as clean but we still enjoyed it. Difficult to find lounge chairs by the pool and the cabanas are very expensive. Poolside food was really tasty but we didn't get to try any of the specialty restaurants. Nice variety of drinks, but again it was difficult to get someone to bring them to the pool side because there were not enough attendants. Overall enjoyed our stay.
Huge room with balcony. Pricey restaurants (brkfast:$40) and bars. Love the beach and pools ...Service in th restaurant Questionable ....
20 Reasons not to stay at the DIPLOMAT HOTEL Hollandale Beach Florida
1. 18% gratuity on pretty much everything
2. 2 drinks will cost about $50
3. 2 Complementary waters a day that don't actually exist
4. The food store "Canteena" sells $17 for a sandwiches
5. "Port Royal" the hotel's 5 star seafood restaurant has a shortage on complementary bread
6. $45 dollars a day for parking in the hotels parking garage
7. $26 dollars a day to stay in the room you already paid for
8. Stayed 2 nights no one came either day to clean the rooms
9. The fancy soak tub doesn't hold water
10. Called guest services in regards to cleaning the room and fixing the tub (no one came)
11. An hour passed I walked to the front desk to schedule a time to clean the room and fix the tub
12. Maintenance came not at the scheduled time we were getting ready to go to dinner couldn't finish getting ready missed our reservations
13. Had to rent the hotels beach chairs $20 a day
14. Left for 15min and they re-rented our (day paid) beach chairs
15. Stepped on a glass cup while on their beach property
16. If you stay at the Hotel they offer free kayak and paddle-boarding ,however if you are not aware of this the water sports attendants will charge you $35 for paddle-boarding and $45 for kayak

20. Over priced AF with no attention to detail
*bottom-line this was just a pricy ghetto hotel*
Wonderful hotel experience. Very well run and managed. Food and drinks are expensive on site.
Hotel is beautiful. The staff are so nice and welcoming. Great place for a family vacation. Definitely will be back again. Saturday s they have a live DJ on the resort!!
Great location on the beach. Upper level floor room was a surprise. It was very large with seperate bedroom and living room. This is a very large hotel but it doesnt feel crowded. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the mandatory valet parking fee (no free parking), and "resort fee". Just extra money grabs as with airilnes charging for bags.
Dinner at Monkitail. For your first time, recommend doing the $65 tasting menu.
It has a good location near the additional beach the view is fabulous
About 2 weeks we went to the Diplomat with 18 couples andd all the kids as a farewell to the summer.. Not a very good experience Towel....Pool was not the best of situation ... But that is not what has me up at arms. One couple check out Sunday with us. They were charged one more night not only Charged one more night the room rate was like $144 and they where charged over 400 for one night even though they checked out. They have attempted for 2 weeks to get this resolved and now one ever call them back. This is ridiculous. Not only is it a bad stay but when you leave they still try to get your money..
First our pool side food took an hour and a half to arrive then the Valet parking had me waiting for an hour for my car only to tell me that they forgot to request it ,the shower drain was clogged and backing up while you shower ,then they never came to do room service and top it off they checked us out of our room that was already paid for and made us have to go back to registration to reactivate our room keys because they locked us out ,for the amount of money you spend here and this being a almost a star hotel i would not recommend this place ,the staff so completely unorganized that it is embarrassing, i spoke to 3 managers about the drainage situation and they all assured me it would be resolved and until the morning i left the shower was backing up ,NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN will i stay the diplomat, for the amount of money you spend there this type of treatment is unacceptable
I lost count how many times i f***ed in there cabanas lmao
The hotel itself is beautiful and the beach and water are absolutely amazing. Now having said that....they nickel and dime the crap out of you. To rent two chairs and an umbrella on the beach, it cost $43 per day (with tax, no tip). There is absolutely no shade around the pool and unfortunately in the hot Florida sun, the palm trees swaying back and forth do not provide enough cover the way an umbrella would. If you want to sit in a shaded area by the pool, you'll pay for that too.
When we originally got to our room, there were SO many things wrong with it, the worst being that the bath tub had not been cleaned out since the last guest. I will say though, that after speaking to management, they moved us to the 30th floor (spectacular views, you can even see Miami in the distance) and gave us a $75 food credit which was really great of them.
Food is hard unless you have a car--your choices are limited to the hotel and while the food there isn't bad, it is just expensive. We had a fantastic experience at the steak house--the food was absolutely perfect. The only complaint was that it wasn't very crowded, so the staff hovered around you. Every time my husband and I started a conversation, they were interrupting for some reason (sometimes to even adjust our flatware).
Overall, just a good experience, not great. I have stayed here separately for a conference and for that type of atmosphere it was absolutely fantastic. For a getaway, it was harder. It has a lot of capacity, so the grounds are very crowded, even on week days.
Very nice hotel, love the renovated lobby area. Rooms are a bit plain, but perfectly functional. Great pool areas, decent beach.
Excellent service and excellent staff. The hotel is amazing
Beautiful place to be. It is a dream to stay in this resort by the ocean. I can't wait to visit again. Love it.
Really friendly reception staff. Quick and efficient booking in. Rooms have a great view of both the ocean or back towards the inland. Facilities on the beach also well managed with towels, sunbeds and shade for the lite ones needed.
Love the views clean big rooms comfy bed and the best restaurant Prime.
I made a reservation online and the room was not what I said, nor did I have the one I gave myself. Although I protest, they tell you that it is the one thing they have for the price they gave me
Visited this hotel for a conference. Contrary to many resort hotels The Diplomat has a nice atmosphere where leisure and business blend well. Facilities are really good and it's very convenient to have many indoor and outdoor places for meetings and chats.
A hotel that covers all the needs of a family on vacation and is very well located. I recommend it.
Awesome weekend for me and my family!
The hotel is beautiful, It has a gorgeous view and setting. The bar at the entrance and at the pool looks amazing! The rooms are super clean and relaxing!
Since the diplomat's fame is that is an upscale hotel I can understand the overpriced drinks at the bar and food service but it was extremely expensive for a family of 4. (with kids).
The reason I did not give it a five star is because it got kind of messy with people at the pool drinking (glass bottles around), playing music loud, the pool got dirty very quick. Not very comfortable to relax. I don't know if it was because of a convention going on, but it got messy at the end.
Overall, the staff is respectful and kind. Our bellman was incredibly helpful (Juan). He made our check out smooth and easy. The Cuban guy at the bar (I don't remember his name - July 22nd) his service was excellent. The young girl at the towels stand was very helpful and the complimentary water with orange and lemon was on point.
It was a good experience!
Great place....kids are welcome....restaurants are great. Make reservations in advance at restaurants cause fills up quickly.
I was here for a conference and I was highly impressed by the level of service and kindness of all the staff. And it s an absolutely stunning place.
This place was fantastic. Excellent views and wonderful service
We had a nice time there. But they need to take a look at there food costs and menus. Poeple for the most part like the breakfast buffet, when we were there they only had it once. Why, not enough business, again Why because people were going outside were prices were way to high.. Lower your prices so that the guest will stay eat in your hotel not down the street.. Or buy food at local stores so they can afford the trip.. That money can stay in your hotel..
Came here for a convention and loved how beautiful and clean the whole place was.
Everything is at a good level, I will definitely stay in Miami
Loved it! Our company held a large conference there, we'll over a thousand people. As a Diamond Member we upgraded our interior room to a Bayside view with a balcony for $7.00 and it was well worth the extra money. The rooms are comfortable and large enough to feel relaxing and they are modern and clean. The bathrooms are large with a separate shower, water closet and a separate tub. They have numerous restaurants and bars (which are a little pricey). However, the pool is amazing. It has 2 levels and plenty of room to sit or lay out and there is a bar at the pool with waitstaff. It is also right on the ocean so you can walk from the pool to the ocean in minutes. Friendly staff, great location and awesome amenities. The meeting rooms are in a central location and they easily accommodated our group. Then on 2 separate nights we had dinners which included all the wives and children and again we were all able to sit and the food and drink lines moved well. We also had live entertainment on both nights. Fun all around. I would recommend the Diplomat for large groups our families.
I sat in the lobby because I had to kill half an hour while watching 3 of my younger siblings. We sat quietly in a corner so we wouldn't get kicked out. Very clean, 10/10, would go back
Had our annual Christmas party and venue was amazing with the decor.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! Clean, modern, with a nice tropical feel. Gorgeous pool area overlooking the beach with a beachfront bar and restaurant. Food and beverage service by the pool is fast and friendly. On the beach, plan on going to get your own food/drinks as service is either very slow or nonexistent. Multiple decks for sunbathing. Beach service includes chairs, towels, and small side tables if desired. We did not have any issues finding space by the pool or on the beach. However, we were disappointed that a large portion of the pool area was closed to guests for a private event during part of our stay. When paying a $150 resort fee to use the facilities, you expect those facilities to be available.
Food is very pricey here. We paid $34 for two tuna sandwiches and a small bottle of water from the Canteen, $70+ for a basic room service breakfast. While the food was fine, it was nothing special. Far better to go off property for meals, as there are many wonderful restaurants in the area.
Parking is also expensive - $35/night for self park in the ramp, $44/night for valet.
We found the staff to be very friendly and
accommodating throughout the property.
This would have been a 5 star review if not for the overpriced food and parking and the pool being closed for a private event.
Beautiful resort hotel. Employees are friendly and helpful. Newly remodeled and beautifully presented. Perfect location on the beach with easy access to shopping and dining.
