Being on the beach is great. Food can be hit or miss. Drinks are pricey.
Being on the beach is great. Food can be hit or miss. Drinks are pricey.
Visited Bristol's burgers and had one of the best burgers of my life.
Karen and Boucher Bros know how to take care of guests at the pool and beach!
I forgot an item of significant value (brand new shoes) in the hotel room upon check-out. I knew exactly where they were, and they would have been hard to miss by any means. I missed them simply in the bustle of checking-out with four suitcases, forgetting to circle background once the door shut.
They were reportedly "not recovered nor turned-in" by housekeeping and security when I called to request retrieval less than 24 hours later.
Not the level of integrity, let alone service, one would expect from a 4-star Hilton Curio Collection Resort.
THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENAL!!!!
ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS THE 35$ A DAY ON TOP OF THE ROOM RAYE THAT'S A BIT I...
Just the fact on the valet line is making me give no stars how can anyone have us wait 45 minutes in line for our car there were 20 on line waiting to get there car unbalivabe never will I book visit or eat there just on the fact of valet line I don't care how expensive they are or top notch .
Hotel was okay. Prices for water, drinks and food are outrageous. Bathroom fan didn't work and grout on shower floor was dirty. The outside balcony glass was dirty that you couldn't even loom through it
Breakfast, the pool and the beach are good. Overall you dont get the value for that price level
I love staying at this hotel The Diplomat Curio collection from Hilton... you will read many reviews that are good and not so good because it is all a matter of personal preferences always remember that.... I have been coming for many years from NJ and can t say enough of the quality of people they hire.... Carla our housekeeper is amazing! Picks up on little details that we like and takes care of it without us even asking! Such a great asset to your team! Pedro at the concierge goes above and beyond to take care of everything! He took extra care with my 10 year old son when he had questions about the hotel or needed something. Alex from Towne Park Valet service was also great! Took care of all of our parking needs even when family and friends came he knew of us and mentioned to them that he was expecting them, etc. People make all the difference at hotels! Make sure you thank and rip them well.
The service was great and the room was beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to relax right on the beach.
Good service and drinks but could use better food menu
Overpriced....watch your creditcard...they sneak on charges
Very attentive and professional chambermaids. $25 charge for extra hour in your room!
Neeka Brown at the front desk was awesome, she did so much to make sure our trip was special... Especially for my kids. She made sure we all had a great stay! She assisted us from the beginning to the end of our trip and always greeted us with a smile. Also, I would recommend dinner at Point Royal. It is a little pricey, but very good. Get the scallops and ask for Paul, he was phenomenal!
one of the best places i have been to. great service
I had the opportunity to stay at the Diplomat as a convention attendee. The resort is about 30 min drive from MIA and is right on the beach. We arrived to the hotel around 6p on a Sunday and was able to get checked in quickly. For $15 extra per night, I upgraded to a room in the 10th floor with a wrap balcony.
The room: was clean and had the right number of towels; some of my coworkers were missing hand towels, the towel you step on when you get out of the shower, and/or a washcloth. - The balcony was huge and offered beautiful views. - Go green! If you hang the card outside your door before 1a, cleaning staff will bypass your room. For each night/day you do this, you earn a $5 credit towards your food/drink bill... one thing to note here is... you have to ask for the credit. The card does not clearly tell you this.
Dinning: the only dining within walking distance from the resort are other resorts and hotels. While the food was delicious on site, it was expensive! Fortunately, work coveres the meals. Gratuity is included wherever we ate - even off site, so pay attention to that.
Staff: Everyone we encountered was helpful and patient. A special shout out to the event staff, you all are awesome! They had beautifully displayed tables, and the food was amazing. I enjoyed chatting with several of them and hearing their story. They definitely were a value add to my experience.
Local: load the Circuit app for free rides within 3 miles of the resort- be prepared to wait though. We grabbed a Circuit to get us up to the Broadwalk (not Boardwalk). There you will find cute shops and local dinning.
Gave 4 stars because of the cost. If work wasn't covering the bill, I would likely stay at a location that less expensive.
Overall, I was very please and thankful for the experience.
We have a room on the 26th floor and the view is amazing. The room is neat and the tv let's me Chromecast. Not a lot of hotels let you do that. The beach is great and the pools are friendly.
Stayed 3 nights for a work conference. Rooms were clean, nice ambiance in the lobby areas. Staff is very friendly. The shutters in the bathrooms were kind of weird though...
Beautiful hotel. Very high prices!! But an over all wonderful visit. My husband and I will definitely be back.
Upon my stay at the diplomat my family and I were treated with respect and high level of professionalism with friendly helpful smiles from such workers as the manager Karen and assistant manager Stephanie and other employees like shemar and valeydis
Absolutely fabulous. Prime Restaurant Hours should be extended to accommodate lunch.
An outstanding place! The building is beautiful, the ocean views are breathtaking. Reataurants, pools, an inspired bar and all the amenities and resources one would expect from a very well run, high end resort.
Just beautiful hotel. Big and clean rooms with a great view over the beach. Amazing pool area and lobby. Great food selection and drinks.
Great rooms great service beautiful oceanfront resort
This hotel was a big letdown. We wanted to get away and stay at a hotel on the beach. The type of deal that we booked allowed for a free upgrade if available. When we got to the hotel we asked if an oceanfront was available. The front desk girl said there was one room left. We thought we got lucky. She did say that the room does not have a balcony. The only room with a balcony was the city view. We took the ocean view anyway, thinking that there would at least be a large window view of the ocean.
When we got to the room, we were disappointed to see that there was a closed off balcony barred in by a wooden post. Having a balcony that you can't use only obstructed the view as what we're really seeing is this closed off balcony. It felt like we were in a kidnapping horror movie. The room itself was already tiny, but having access to outside barred off made it feel that much more claustrophobic. We went downstairs and asked another front desk person if all the ocean view room balconies were sealed off and she assured us 100% that they all were and that only the city view has balcony access. We had wished that it was posted on their website or mentioned before we had booked at the hotel. One of our main reason for going there was to be ocean front on our balcony. To make matters worse, we caught sight of the room next door and saw that their balcony was not blocked off. We called front desk to ask if they will move us to that room but they said they reserved it for someone else. They had lied about all the rooms being closed off. I guess this is their "free" upgrade package. We also had toilet issues in our room and called the front desk about 4 times to make sure a repair guy was coming. They kept telling us 10 mins every time we called. It took about 2 hours until someone finally showed up. There were other times when we got inconsistent stories about different things depending on who you talk to. Overall, their policy is to give you the run around. We've been here once before and thought it was nice, but the way we were treated this trip has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. This hotel had ruined the whole point of our trip. Glad to say we won't ever be back.
Usually an employee, they treat us well for social events like today. Volleyball tournament foe the win!
Excellent service, different options in restaurants and access to the beach
Clean, comfortable rooms, upbeat and professional staff and equally polished amenities. Yes, rooms are showing the first signs of wear, but Hyatt seems to be freshening things up already at what is still a pretty young property. It's probably also a smart move on their part to be changing the focus from the original vision of a terminally hip "South Beach" experience in Hollywood to something a bit more family friendly. Do note that despite it being mere blocks from plenty of shopping and dining opportunities, it is very much the "resort" it calls itself, with resort prices and added fees for everything from bottled water and toiletries to parking and even the most basic dining.
Nice, clean and modern looking but, super busy and crowded
Nice rooms. Uncomfortable pillows. Asked for father pillows but got something else and just uncomfortable.
This resort is fantastic, beautiful beach. Customer service was fantastic. I I loved spending time at the pool
Great room, wonderful views, workout facilities, pool and beach access was outstanding. Only complaint is price of food and drinks was a bit steep. In addition, the $35 daily resort fee was shocking because, if you didn t use any of the non motorized sports you were still charged. Otherwise the resort was incredibly well kept and cleaned. Would definitely return. Staff was nice and polite.
It's on the beach... That's pretty hard to screw up :) so... Location, five stars, actual implementation by the corporation, lower than that .
Beds don't use fitted sheets, so if you move in your sleep, you're more likely to wake up on bare mattress.
Hotel bar has ridiculously priced drinks... ask before ordering, or you might be surprised by the bill.
I'm Curious,Does that hotel subcontract the parking with the Mafia? It's $20 for 3 hours and $40 for the day?I called there to see if there was anything that could be done such as a voucher to help with the cost and was told the hotel has nothing to do with any and all parking. I canceled my stay there!
This review is written from the viewpoint of somebody that stayed there as a business customer, but was looking at it through the lens of a leisure customer. The bed was "okay", not great, not terrible. The room though was oddly decorated and really not that comfortable (the desk was downright terrible (I couldn't even watch the TV 2 feet directly in front of my face), and the rats nest that was the power cord for the fridge (that wasn't turned on, take that leftovers), and the oddly inoperative Nescafe machine didn't help.
The public areas were nice though, even though the hotel premium charged was outrageous for even the smallest thing. One pet peeve, of all the Hilton properties I've ever visited, this is the one that sent me more spam than I've ever seen in my life - one every other day. What the hell, you think I'm going on a vacation every couple days?
Overpriced, and not what I'd expect from a Hilton property.
This has to be one of the best hotels to stay at in this area. I finally got a chance to stay and I must say it was money well spent for my 40th Bday. I differently will be bk. We stayed on the 31st floor.
I was only there for one night but it was great. I really liked the pools, the rooms. Everything was great.
Great hotel. Rooms were clean and very spacious. Staff was friendly and curtious. Huge TVs, with built in chrome cast and hbo. Mini fridge in the room was nice because I was visiting on a business trip.
The hotel is very nice, a spectacular pool, but the service is terrible, at the reception they treat you very much, the cleaning of the room you have to ask for it, but when you leave from 9 they were outside at the door waiting for you to come out, My glasses were left in the feom desk when I checked in, and supposedly I will not find them. In my opinion when you go to a hotel you want to be treated well beyond the hotel being good, plus the double beds very small beds Well uncomfortable, I do not recommend it at all!
Beautiful upscale Resort. Everything was perfect. Room clean and view was breathtaking. Valet service . Will definitely be back!
Great hotel; however the pool area was very crowded and was very cloudy due to so many people in the pool.
Great beach, beachside bar, restaurant, pools, nice kiddie pool area, rooms are very good, restaurants good... also great Convention facilities. Now a Hilton property
Room seemed a tad dated. The grounds were absolutely beautiful though. Multiple pools and other amenities were great.
Beautiful hotel with great attention to detail. The pool and beach look amazing.
Lovely positioning of the hotel on the beach and beautiful pool. Bathroom head very noisy plumbing sounded like a walrus when you flush the toilet. This wasn't just our room we heard the same noise when other people were using their bathrooms. They have shuttered window in the bathroom and when you turn the lights on this affects the bed sleeping area. I expected more in the room for close to $500 a night between $50 parking a day and resort fee. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be going back.
Right on the beach, on A1A with shuttles that pass through the hotel door, valet service, pool overlooking the beach and a wonderful staff.
Great family resort. No complaints. We will return.
To expensive for the visit. Food served cold after waiting an hour or more
The architecture of this Hotel is spectacular. I was overly impressed with the open feel, airy and cleanliness. Even thinking about that moment when I first walked into the lobby, made me just sit back calmly, following a big sigh. The outside pool area overlooking the ocean is amazing!!
Easy to get in, but valet parking guy was asking for cash ($48 or 50$) if you want to park at the hotel or they give you the option to park across the street for 35$ the night. Thats not the point the problem was when you tried to get to the parking across the street, traffic lights take forever to turn green, even in the middle of the night, worst if you are in the front, people from the hotel start screming at you to RUN THE RED LIGHT!! Have to fix this . But everything else was excellent!
Great view of the ocean and nice rooms. The main hotel bar is overpriced for drinks, but otherwise a great spot.
Love the beach, staff, club lounge, pools, live music , food all of it thanks ! We have stayed here multiple times.
I'm sad this property is not a Westin anymore but they have really started some great renovations. The food served at the conference was good.
Great chic place staff is great stayed 5 days love it multiple pools
in this place you will be overcharged for every tiny little thing (beach chairs, umbrellas, water etc). there is a huge 20-30 minute line to get your morning coffee, huge line to get your breakfast eggs for $35 a person buffet, that includes only eggs, potato, bacon and sausages - yacky! do not expect to see any veggies, no salads!!! no oatmeal and no cheeses. it is basically just fruit, pancakes, eggs and sausages :( also as I ve mentioned the line is huge to get your eggs :(((
our room came with broken toilet seat, leaky shower head, noisy AC, only one towel for 2 ppl and you can hear every single thing from the neighboring rooms and corridor.
the only most amazing part about this place is the naturally gorgeous ocean!!! I am glad they cant mess it up - if they could, they would've lol
I can not say much to this place because I only went to a friends' wedding. But I can say that the view is amazing, and it is a perfect place for weddings.
