Oh where to begin. I guess I'll start by saying this, the maternity staff are amazing! Nurses, doctors, all the way down to the ppl that deliver the food and clean the rooms. Everyone was super friendly, professional, and attentive to my wife's needs. Now, here's where the hospital gets a one.

The hospital is managed like complete garbage. It is very obviously managed as a complete money grab. They cut and trimmed things to the point they dont use baby wipes!! They give you some type of paper towel that we are just supposed to wet. They dont have enough equipment to go around to all the newborns. They took a piece of equipment my daughter was using to give to the NICU because they didnt have enough of them. They dont have simple things like nipple cream that was "on backorder". They make you pay for parking, pay for phone, pay for TV (by the day). Then you look at where the staff is required to clock in and out at, brand new touch screen led displays. It's very obvious where hospital managements priority is. We fully expected cuts to things like food quality and quantity, every hospital does that. No big deal. But equipment, baby wipes, and nipple cream?? You should be ashamed. Your staff is the only thing that keeps this place from being completely terrible (seriously, they are fantastic)

I hate it. My sister died because they were supposed to put her on life support. They didn't they said they couldn't save her when they could've. They just allowed her to die without trying. We filed a lawsuit and failed the case because they've destructed some of the evidence and called my mother mental for accusing them

I made 2 phone calls to Intake for substance abuse on behalf of a family member who needs and wants alcohol rehab. I made both calls on Friday October 4th - I left a detailed message at 10:27am and no one called me back so I left another detailed message at 2:35pm. It is now 3:30pm on Monday October 7th and no one has returned my phone call. I am no longer interested in this addiction program because no one has returned my phone calls yet.

My wife and I just had our baby here, a surprise 3 week early baby. We made it into the ER and had a quick and well staffed delivery, especially since there were multiple babies on the floor at the same time.

He was taken to the NICU and treated wonderfully from their nurses and doctors.

Our stay at the hospital for the two days went very well, with constant checkups on my wife, numerous feedings and visits to our son in the separate NICU and having family member come and visit us/him from time to time.

He was safely discharged two days after my wife was, and after constant around the clock care and help, we took him home yesterday. I know this is a high volume/busy hospital, and needs some repairs in some areas, but the maternity ward, NICU and rooms for mothers was great and well maintained. We had no issues with staff, receiving needed items or unanswered questions.

I'd like to especially thank the wonderful doctors and nurses in the Maternity Ward and NICU, Especially Allison, for doing their jobs and caring for patients, especially all of the other small babies/newborns who can't go home to their families right away that our son shared his room with for a few days.

Grossest place ever, avoid at all costs. Had my baby here, the labor and delivery nurses were great, the maternity ones were absolutely horrific. They forgot about me for over 24 hours. I went a few months after having my baby for kidney stones (my primary care dr told me to go to the hospital), waiting in the ER I saw rats running around - notified the receptionist and they told me "they are aware." I couldn't move or I would've left. When I finally got called back they told me I shouldn't have come in at all for "stomach pain." So I left without being "discharged." Seriously the scummiest place.

My mom has been here since Monday. She originally came in with hip pain and now is being treated for urinary issues. The level of care at this facility is horrible. The staff is over worked, some of the nurses need better training in patient care, and the doctors whew that's another story. We still do not know what's wrong with her. If we don't have a answer by tomorrow, we will be transferring out of here.

Crozer Keystone has the worst billing department that I've ever had to deal with in my entire life. I've had wonderful experiences with doctors at/of Crozer, but their billing department drove me away. Keep every single receipt and invoice. They couldn't run billing for a lemonade stand. You will absolutely be double billed, incorrectly billed, and your payments will be misapplied. I paid some of my invoices 3x (with bank statements to prove it) solely so they would stop sending me bills. I havent had an appointment with them in 14mo and I'm still TO THIS DAY receiving bills for things I have proof of payment for. Worst billing department in history.

I was going to have my baby here. Im new to the area. From the receptionist to the doctors they are mean and nasty and it hurts. I pray God allows me to stop being sick or to be able to go somewhere further because they not only make me cry on visits, they just sent me home in the middle of the night without meds or a care and expected me to be happy about after I was dilating at a dangerous speed. They through me some Magnesium and sent me on my way. No monitoring after 4 n a half days of no food. No anything.
Nurses, its unfair to say I wish you all went as far as being a doctor because you all are great. Thank you for being real with me and giving me advice. Without all of you I would be dead because this pregnancy is so bad and keeping my life at a hault i needed the Hope besides my prayers, so thank you for the shield helping God to rotect me. I really love you all.

Went for a ultrasound of the baby was told no ultrasound just blood work, asked for prescription because I do not trust them to draw my blood, would rather have my mother (a 25+ year phlebotomist) do it. I was told we cant give you one. Was then called back for blood work told them once again I do not want you to do it, got an eye roll and attitude and then could hear them talking about me in the room right across the hall while getting my prescription, handed me the prescription and when I asked am I going to get charged for anything here got another eye roll and was told no in a attitude again! Will never come back. Need to hire better staff especially with dealing with pregnant women.

My 87 year old uncle who lives in Delaware County,...

My 87 year old uncle who lives in Delaware County, but got his back surgery at University of Penn is now at Crozer for attention to another issue that arose while he was in Belvedere Nursing Home for rehabilitation to get him strong enough to return home.

As a result of his surgery, he has staples in his incision that now needs removal. The doctors assigned to his floor (Crozer staff doctors, not his personal doctor) refuses, I repeat refuses to remove his staples ( a relatively simple procedure for a doctor) as requested in his Penn releases papers...because he did not get his surgery at Crozer!!

The Penn surgeon's staff person my cousin (uncle's daughter) has been in contact with about this says in the many years she has been in her position, she has not experienced any doctor(s) responsible for a patient's care, even if temporally, refused to remove incision staples because the procedure was not performed by them or team doctors at their hospital. Outrageous.

Now he may have to be transported back to Penn just to have the staples removed at great inconvenience and expense.

Because of this incident, I would not advise anyone to take their elder to Crozer-Chester Medical Center hospital for any after care treatment. And they still have no idea what is causing my uncle's specific very painful issue after days there. The quality of care at Crozer has deteriorated horribly. Although I and my cousins found the nursing and CNA's care of their father satisfactory.

I am strongly encouraging my cousins to file an official complaint against these doctors to Crozer upper management to determine if this is hospital policy or these doctor's specific refusal to attend to a relatively minor procedure that would take them a minute to perform.

my grandmother is in there as a stroke patient not ONE doctor has called the family to tell us her progress or not even and update on her at all when we ask to speak to a doctor we are given an excuse on why the doc cant come to the room to discuss her care or even a phone call.. the nurses also suck. sje rang her bell to go to the bathroom took her nurse 15 minutes to come to the room(mind you she was sitting at the nurses station as i went out after 5 min of waiting to say somthing) she ended up having a accident before her nurse came in. as she proceeds to change her bed and clothes she walked out of the room and stood in the hall texting for another 5 minutes... the worst experience of a hospital and staff i have ever witnessed.

My father was placed in Crozer back in April through emergency. He ended up in ICU and had exceptional care...until he was taken to step down. What a joke. They barely moved him, or cleaned him (and now they are testing him for C-diff), and changing his lines was an effort. All kinds of bells going off in his room at times for over a 1/2 hour even after we were sitting there and requested a nurse who was MIA....but they were more than happy to turn off the call bell from the desk. They all have time to sit there and bs at the desk and then they claim they are short-staffed. Doctor MIA....The best is the cleanliness of the rooms....or severe lack. The floor not wiped down for days (know this because we visit daily and still same stains on floor) trash not emptied. An absolute disgrace. Would not recommend my worst enemy go to this hospital. Thank god he's in a better place. NEVER AGAIN! NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR. And don't reply for me to call patient relations...you already tarnished your rep and nothing you can tell me would change that.

I was taken to Crozer following a motorcycle accid...

I was taken to Crozer following a motorcycle accident (closest hospital). The surgeon (Dr. Raymond Wolfe) was fantastic, operated promptly (replaced my hip) and did a great job however the rest of the experience at Crozer was awful. I was there 4 days and was never offered a toothbrush or cleaning of any type. My bed sheets were only changed on the day I was being discharged. I had different therapists each day and some were better than others. I could not move my leg to get out of bed and needed help. One therapist grabbed my foot (broken foot and leg with the replaced hip) and swung it across the bed (much faster than I could tolerate or move with her) causing a ridiculous amount of pain. When getting ready for discharge, a nurse walking by my wheelchair walked into my broken foot (also same side as hip) and commented on how crowded the room was with people (hospital people) and equipment. No apology and no forethought to prevent walking into my injured leg. While there, I gave them paperwork my employer needed filled out. It took over a month and many phone calls to get this to my employer. They have incorrectly submitted my insurance claim twice. I am still waiting for it to be correctly submitted and it is now 6 months later. Very disappointed and would never go there voluntarily.
Update: 2/20/15 After posting the last review I got a very quick response as far as a phone call. I got some help and after some more time and many more phone calls, the billing finally was submitted to my insurance company. The issue now is that the bill may have not been created properly. There is a question about how long I was there in hours and after several calls and several weeks, I do not have confirmation from their billing department. They told me I have to wait 10 days for them to tell me how long I was there. It has been at least that long and I have still not heard. I am waiting for calls to be returned.

The policies in place within the emergency departm...

The policies in place within the emergency department are beyond what the word asinine is capable of describing. A forced waiting period of 15 minutes between the time your loved one is brought into the ER by the EMTs and when you, their immediate family member, is first able to a ascertain the condition of your family member. While detained within the waiting, there is absolutely no communication from the staff as to the status of your person. Even worse, however, is the fact that implementing an easy means of communicating a patients status, such as with a TV, would probably violate privacy laws. Your loved one could very well have passed away en route and with the lackadaisical attitude of ER staff at this hour, its well within the realm of possibility that you wouldn t be apprised of the tragedy until your 15 minute quarantine had passed. And for the cherry on top, only 2 family members are permitted to enter the cell block at one time. If a family is with their loved one in their bay and some individuals are creating issues with the staff, then that is the appropriate time in which to implement such a policy. Punishing the innocent for the crimes of the guilty has no place in society. Anywhere nor ever. Needless to say my family will never again use this hospital. Our experiences in the ER were akin to finding a roach in your food: disgusting.

The security guard is the only one here who is taking positive patient and family experience to heart.

I had two routine cardiac tests done here and was treated courteously and respectfully by all the staff I had contact with. My tests were conducted in a very timely manor even though they took place in two different departments. Dr. Finkle administered one of my tests and immediately phoned my family doctor with concerns to be followed up on. Parking in the hospital's garage was convenient and reasonably priced.

First I'd like to acknowledge Dr. Stanley for saving my brothers life. Thank you!

My brother Ray was brought in the ER after apparently having a seizure, falling and hitting his head. He had bleeding in his brain and needed emergency surgery. He was at Crozer Chester for 13 days, most of them days he was sedated and on a ventilator.

Most of his nurses (Laura, Chris, Kelly, Jo Leen, Kathy) were great. I may be forgetting a few, because there were so many, but these are names I remember because they were the most helpful. Laura was amazing, and I wish she was Rays nurse the whole time. The first time we came to see him, she explained everything about what was going on. She was very personable and made us feel comfortable during a difficult time.

Some of the nurses, I wasn't too fond of. Sometimes, he was not checked on enough especially when he needed to be suctioned. He would turn red like a tomato and nobody would come in unless we asked. The monitors would constantly beep, and nurses would just walk right by and not come in to shut it off, again, unless we asked.

There was a few residents that we spoke with too. A young female resident (I forget her name) but she was so sweet and would come in the room frequently to update us. Dr. Mike who was there often, great guy and Doctor, definitely sounded like he knew his stuff but we did start off a little rocky. There was also an African American male resident who had this connection with Ray and they would just nod at each other. Super nice guy, and will be an amazing doctor!

Gwen, the house keeping lady was seriously the nicest person ever. She was caring, socialable, and you can tell that she LOVES her job. There was a male house keeper too, I think his name was Don. He was very nice, and even told us with his expierence with Dr. Stanley, it definitely made us feel relieved.

Stephanie was Rays social worker. Amazing woman. She set everything up for Rays transfer to Reading Rehabilitation for TBI rehab.

A few minor things that I personally think could use improvement. More nurses who are informative, and have more compassion for the patient and their families. Doctor wise, I think there needs to be more compassion with them too and a little more hope instead of telling families the worse before the worse is even there. The hospital definitely needs some type of remodel/updates. More house keepers too. (Waiting room on the 4th floor was always a mess and smelled)

Overall, his stay at Crozer was good.

Since Colleen Fernandez (clinical director of 2 No...

Since Colleen Fernandez (clinical director of 2 North & South of Crozer-Chester medical) will not return my calls this must be the best way to communicate with her. Hopefully by speaking out, this will be brought to their attention and prevent it from happening again. I'm sure if this was their family member or loved one, this would be unacceptable . My partner was admitted into Crozer medical after surgery September 28th. She takes anti-rejection medication due to having received a liver transplant, and heart medication. When she arrived to her room after surgery (approx. 1 pm.), she asked her nurse (Jill/Kim) about her morning medications. The nurse told her she would check on it. At 3 pm, the nurse was asked again about her medications. We received the same response, I'll check on it. At 5 pm, the nurse was asked again about her medications. Once again the nurse gave the same response, I'll check on it. We had brought her own medications but the nurse kept telling us not to take it, she was bringing her medications. At 6 pm she was told it would be delivered in half an hour. At 8 pm, no medications were issued by the nurses so she took her own rejection medication but not the heart meds. When the aid came in at 9 pm to take her vitals, her blood pressure was 180 over 96, she thought she did it wrong so she took it again. This time it was 177 over 86. It still took an hour to get her heart medications. It's a wonder she didn't have a stoke or heart attack.
You go to this hospital for a hysterectomy have to spend the night to be monitored due to a heart condition and it seems like you re a bother to get the life saving medications that you need.
The next morning when Dr. Bucher (the surgeon) made her rounds, I spoke to her about my partner not getting the medications the day before. Dr. Bucher did go check to see who dropped the ball on the medications. When the Dr. returned to the room, she told us that the order was placed. The nurses were responsible and that we needed to call Colleen Fernandez and provided us with her number.
We have left 3 messages so far and have yet to receive a call back. It's safe to say, they don't care.
Dr. Bucher has asked her officer manager (Linda) to contact Colleen Fernandez on our behalf. Linda has made several attempts to reach Colleen and she has not had any success. So it's safe to say, this lady should not be in a position that deals with the public.
Folks, if you take life saving medications take them with you if your admitted into this hospital . Don't count on the nurses nor try to call Colleen (who's name and number are posted on the wall of your room), you will not get a response.

I screamed & cried for about 3 hours still vomiting as well ! They said that they couldn t give me any pain meds until they received my unrine however I could not make it to the bathroom due to not being able to move , a nurse came in & told me to get up & if I didn t get up that she was going to put me in another room that only has a chair in it .. ONCE AGAIN I COULD NOT MOVE !!!! How could I get up ... another nurse finally came in & helped me pee in a pan & have me pain meds in my IV ! .. they then continued putting medication in my IV finally hours later & the pain started leaving slowly . They treat people nice here, not have I had a bad doctor or nurse. I had came in because I had hit my head on the pavement and I was unconscious, I barley remember being drove there. When we got there the nurse had ask me when is my birthday, I could only remember the month but not the day and the year. So she called trauma one and it was 8 people in there, and of course my mom was worried when she saw that. But later on after I woke up, I was eating food and the nurses came in and ran test on me, and I was hooked up to a machine to make sure my pulse was okay, and the staff was helpful. A lot of doctors came in each hour to make sure I was good, and ran little test on me, and they walked me up and down the hallway to make sure my walking was okay. I really love this hospital and it's staff, I enjoy them so much.

These people there are idiots. My mom who had fallen and lost her mind was at Springfield for almost 2 and half weeks and then was sent to psych ward called rejuvenation but she develop a bladder infection and was sent to crozer chester. They let her get delirium and when they fixed that they sent her to Haven in philly which was much much worse cuz they have no rehab there unlike rejuv did. The problem is now we can't get my mom sent back to rejuv because haven is basically holding her hostage. They wanted to release her back to us but my father and I we work most of the time and can't afford to have a nurse round the clock. All we wanted was for them to send her back to rejuv but they were having some kind of flu outbreak and we were told to let her be in haven until the outbreak has subsided but now they are trying to send her to a nursing home instead. Seriously the chester crozer just doesn't care about people.

They put you in a room and ignore you. Whats better, you have to pay for any kind of entertainment. I will clarify, they charge you to watch tv or use the phone. That blows my mind! An insane amount of money to stay in a hospital a few days, and they want to charge for phone calls and tv. No one really seemed to have any idea what was going on. Save your time and money and go to a minute clinic for the same service.

I just was discharged from Crozer Medical in Chest...

I just was discharged from Crozer Medical in Chester, PA. I stayed in their care units 4 nights in ICU & Recovery post Craniotomy at Global Neuro Scicences under the Care of THE founder, Dr. Erol Veznedaroglu (Head of Neurosurgery at DREXEL in Philly) himself as well as his parners & staff. I endured a benign memengioma tumor extraction procedure, They do far more intense and complicated Neurosurgeries there all the time. They are definitely top of the line and well advanced in all digital technology and use the latest technology in Neurosurgery sciences in the state of Pennsylvania. The level of care by the skilled, hand selected staff, nurses, doctors and outsourcing health providing network is phenomenal! Not only did they give ME around the clock undivided attention, but they also cared and showed special attention to my family, and visitors, frequently asking if ,THEY TOO, where comfortable, okay and if, they too, had any needs that could be accommodated! I was cared for with the utmost patience, compassion, respect , comfort level & professionalism from the pre admissions and welcome process, to THE MALE & FEMALE NURSES CARE Which WAS OUTSTANDING ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT EVERY SINGLE day through out my stay, Procedure and recovery. I can not express my appreciation enough to them up to being discharged, escorted and wheeled to my car ride home. I've been home for the rest of my recovery process; still feeling the non stop caring , comfort, security and outpouring wrap around care and services through Global Neuro Scicences at Crozer Medical. I've had Nurse home care services set up for wound check and overall health and wellness. I have home care occupational therapy & physical therapy ordered and also set up for me, along with 24 hour on call help line as well as Medical transportation offered to me since I can't drive post Craniotomy. If I could, I would give more than 5 Stars and I would recommend my Neurosurgeon, his colleagues, staff and his facilities over and over again for making the most scariest and overwhelming of operations Such a comfortable, experience, mentally emotionally and physically for Me as a patient as well as my family, even after the Craniotomy at home well after their responsibilities are all done, The Care still Continues through out my long road to a full recovery. I was even assured that "Once I'm a patient, I'm forever under their care," By Dr. VEZ. They've already provided and proved that motto to be 100% true to his word to me and my family. No Doubt, They are the Best of the Best! I could not ask for any more, They have covered it all From A-Z with Perfection! They handled every single detail, Starting with refferals to prior Authorizations with my insurance network from Day 1 of my initial diagnosis over 4 years ago. I never felt rushed into surgery, I was always given the opportunity and confidence of a conservative watching and waiting approach with a one to one patient to provider discussion with all the steps and decisions all along leading up to the craniotomy with every MRI & observational Visit. I was always given full confidence in every step of this experience with Dr. Erol Veznedaroglu and Global Neuro Scicences at Drexel and at Crozer Medical. I can not thank them enough for all they have done for me!

My mother was very sick was taken to this hospital with cardiac issues. While I don't doubt that everything that could have been done for her was done, there was a profound lack of communication between the medical team and our family. I (her daughter) requested that they call me in the event of a crisis, and they never did. My father received a call for permission for a proceedure and rushed there to be with her .He was left sitting in a waiting room for a long time, at least an hour. He rang to see what was going on and was coldly told that she was dead. Eventually we were escorted back to a room to be with her and told a doctor would be in to see us. he never came. My impression was one of a cold institution with no care for the patients and family

Felt like an animal. No one seem to really care about you here especially the ladies at the front desk. Suffering from depression Is so serious and hard. I wish they put people who actually care about what your going through. I felt even worse being in there. They just gave me paperwork with no explanation to what I was reading or signing. I waited some time just to see if someone would come out to see if I needed help. Nothing.

I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. My mother and poppop both died due to lack of care. Scummiest hospital on the face of the earth. If you want you or your family members to live, don't take them here. People come here to die because the people there don't care to save lives knowing they can. F*** crozer.

I received a kidney transplant from this facility in 2015. I experienced the utmost respect, care and follow up with the team. I sought their help after dealing with one of the big name hospitals in Philly, where I was just another number. Also other services at Crozer have always been easy for me.

I went for a work related injury, where I was cut by a piece of metal at work and my leg was infected as a result of. I could hardly walk the first time I went to ER because of the pain. The attending Physician came in and looked at my leg and said prescribe some medication. I left hospital and had to be brought back a week later because pain had gotten worse. When nurse came in and asked when was last tetanus shot and after realizing that I wasn't given one on first visit he promptly left to get me one. Leg was not properly treated and still having issues. No blood work, x-rays or anything was taken. I was diagnosed just from someone looking at the inflammation of leg.

My sister had to take my 100 year old mother there for an appointment today. They are not taking temperatures, sanitizing areas and there was no hand sanitizer available. No wonder Delaware County has a serious problem with COVID-19. I told my sister to report Crozer to the state. This is so unbelievable to me!

This was the most horrible hospital that I ve ever...

This was the most horrible hospital that I ve ever seen. Took my wife to the emergency room cause she was in a lot of pain and heard that Crozer/Keystone Medical was very good Hospital, well they were totally incorrect. The nursing staff was the worst, the nurse in the ER had trouble putting in an IV line and didn t even put in in correctly and when my wife got admitted and brought to her room, the nurse saw it and said that needs to be changed, left and never came back to change it. It took the next shift nurse to fix it. When she called for a nurse took forever for them to come and see her needs. Then when she went in for surgery to have her Gallbladder removed and because of COVID-19 and no visitors allowed, I had to call to find out information with my wife. The operation was scheduled for 9:30am and was told about 1 - 1 1/2 if no complications. Called at 11am to see if my wife was out and told she was not even in the OR yet. Finally heard from the surgeon around 3:45pm after calling and complaining, and the surgeon said had issue with her blood pressure and had to do an open procedure to remove the gallbladder and said she was doing fine in recovery and will be moving to a step down unit to be monitored. My wife didn t get to a room in the step down unit unit 6pm and this is where more of the horrible, horrible, nursing started again. First, they put my wife in a room with an elderly women who has multiple fractures in her pelvis, and was having multiple accidents in her bed, which the smell was so bad and making my wife very sick. Then my wife heard a nurse ask this poor woman, would you like to be resuscitated or die comfortably ? Which is just uncalled for an unprofessional conduct from a nurse. When a cardiologist finally decided to check up on my wife he noticed she had a blown IV line and when my wife informed him that she has been calling for nurse to fix it, no one would respond. The cardiologist got a hold of a nurse and said this needs to be changed immediately and which, it was not changed an hour later after they were told by the cardiologist. Because it took so long to change it, my wife s hand was so swollen and gave her a lot of pain. The worst thing, she was put in this so called step down unit to be monitored for her heart(cause she had a premature heart beat in recovery and had to be watched closely) and blood pressure was very low(again in recovery)
and the nurses did not hook her up to any of the automatic equipment to be monitored at the nurses station. When in pain, made her suffer for over an hour before coming in and asking what is her problem. She noticed when she had trying calling for a nurse and no one ever responded, either they disconnected her call button or just ignoring completely, when because her room was directly across from the nurses station, hearing they talking loud and laughing. Finally, we had enough and talked to the surgeon, along with a patient experience rep., my informed both of the horrible NON-TREATMENT she was given and wanted to be discharged immediately, where she would get better care at home, since she could not get it from this hospital. Her surgeon agreed with my wife once hearing her story, and the patient experience rep. didn t do a damn thing once he heard all the complaints, cause even when my wife was waiting to get discharged, the nurses still refused to come to her needs when she called. So please do not respond with sorry to hear about your bad experience within our hospital and please feel free to reach out to our patient experience for further assistance because first, it means nothing and second, we already talked to a patient experience person which did absolutely nothing. This hospital is a disgrace to be allowed to be open to treat patients and should be investigated to prevent further occurrences like this from happen now and going forward. This does not stop here because we will be filing an official complaint with the hospital and the proper associates that will and can do something about the pain and suffering my wife went through.

I am typically not one to leave reviews online, bu...

I am typically not one to leave reviews online, but due to my terrible experience at Crozer-Chester Medical Center I felt it was necessary. I am a young woman who gave birth on 7/29/20 to my first child, my daughter. I was happy with my OBGYN s maternity and prenatal care at Crozer-Chester, so, despite my moving back to Chester County with my family, I decided to continue there to give birth. My labor experience was absolutely fine. And then I was transferred to the postpartum floor. After the first night, my daughter lost some weight and was having trouble latching on for breastfeeding so the hospital pediatrician recommended I stay another night. After spending more time with the lactation specialist, the next day I felt more confident in taking my baby home. The Dr. and I agreed that he would check in later in the day to make sure she was still eating well. But, shortly after, he came back in and stated that as he was doing his billing he noticed for the first time that I was taking a prescription medication, which I had listed at admission and took with the knowledge and support of my Ob/Gyn. He said that because I had taken this mediation he wanted to keep my baby in the hospital for observation. By then, she was eating well and was a healthy baby. I stated that since she wasn t exhibiting any withdrawal symptoms and is otherwise healthy, I would like to still take her home. I, also, already had a pediatrician appointment scheduled. I was shocked when the Dr. then threatened to call CYS if I insisted on taking my baby home from a hospital, mind you, in the midst of a pandemic! As a new mom, this immediately tore me apart. I had just gone through labor, was still extremely hormonal, exhausted, and fearful of being a single mom. Discussions that followed with this Dr. made me feel extremely belittled and hurt and took a tremendous toll on my mental health. From the beginning, I had always been honest with the hospital doctors by explaining that I was in recovery and had almost a year sober. I feel that due to the stigma associated with addiction and the staff s ignorance and lack of knowledge regarding the recovery process I was bullied and treated as less than. I offered to bring my baby to her pediatrician appointment the next day, and even tried transferring her to a different hospital for a second opinion, but he was not satisfied with these choices. He even had the audacity to ask personal questions, such as, why my daughter s father was not there during her birth. I felt trapped and torn since I was being told that if I tried to take my baby home they would call security and child protection services, despite her not having any withdrawal symptoms. I became depressed and fearful of asking any of the staff for any help or even leaving the room. Then was told that I could not stay at the hospital with my nursing baby but could only visit her during the day. The thought of my newborn being in a hospital alone without me - during a pandemic stressed me out even more. The threats, bullying and discrimination I experienced at Crozer-Chester is something I will never forget. In a place where I should have felt safe and comfortable after giving birth, I felt trapped and depressed instead. For these reasons, I, personally, will never choose to go back to this hospital again.

stay far away the stupidity, laziness of some of the staff made my head hurt. The maintenance man had to be an inbred he was so stupid trying to sync the remote to a tube television 20 years old because the one in the room doesnt work. And if you see someone come in your room wearing a hijab ask for someone else. the fact that they are wearing a hijab in pennsylvania is all you need to know about their IQ and they prove it very quickly

I m still in a lot of pain there and feel like I m going to burst! The only doctor I will see there is Doctor Polis she s so sweet and caring and keeps in contact on results if you have any problems.

The desk person Joy is rude and obnoxious . my scared 85 year old mom was brought to the ER and she would not kept me back even though I am Medical POA and have her medical history. Something she never even asked about. Joy is not a Joy but rather rude and should not be allowed to be around people. She should be fired.

Most of the people who work here are smart, compas...

Most of the people who work here are smart, compassionate and super nice BUT there are not enough of them. It is impossible to get proper care when one nurse has between four and six patients. The call button is a joke. Maybe after 20 minutes someone will see you. By that time you could be dead. Imagine 4,5,or 6 patients calling for help at the same time and only one patient can be taken care of. The rest are screwed (or maybe lying in feces, or have fallen on the floor and can't get up.) Some of the machinery the techs use (blood pressure, pulse ox) are so old they don't even work. The fix, to me appears simple, ask a nurse how many patients she/he should have in order to do their job efficiently and then do so. Ask a tech the same question, listen and do what they ask. All the answers will be for the betterment of the patient.
It appears that hospital administration doesn't listen, and is overpaid and arrogant since a lack of good care is apparent. The fault certainly does not lie with the nurses, doctors or techs. It lies with Hospital Administrative Policy.

Oh, the food was EXCELLENT. The Italian Wedding soup was out of this world. Maybe the Chefs in the Kitchen should run the hospital.

Specifically related to crozer crisis. After my interaction with the crisis staff and intake process it made me even more wary of crozer crisis' treatment of mental health issues. I was very disappointed with the lack of courtesy and attention my daughter was given. Do yourself a favor. If you are feeling low and suicidal DONT go to crozer crisis. Go anywhere else and seek PROFESSIONAL help. You will wait forever and feel worse about yourself.

I was admitted to Crozer Emergency Trauma Unit on ...

I was admitted to Crozer Emergency Trauma Unit on 5.25.19 with a gunshot wound to my right knee. In the ambulance, they cut off my pants which is understood but they also cut off my designer t-shirt which I could've removed with ease. In the examining room, a security guard came for my property: wallet, cellphone, black duffel bag with phone charger, legal paperwork, composition BOOK, hat, sneakers and destroyed pants n shirt, and underwear (all cut off of me). My injury required 2 surgeries to reconstruct my busted kneecap. After surgery no.1, I was moved to a room where no one could tell me where my property was. The nurses helping me assured me security had my belongings so I believed them. Only after the hospital complained about placing my calls did I request my wallet to rent tv and phone @9bucks a day. Security brought up my wallet and brown bag with only my cut up clothes, hat, and sneakers. I asked where was my cellphone and black duffel bag and the aforementioned contents. The guard said the rest of my stuff was already stored away but I never received or signed a property sheet. I ordered the phone/tv on 5.29.19 and was given a white plastic bag to put my wallet into and other items was on list from brown paper bag. Again, I asked why my cellphone and black bag was not listed. Security guard said he would bring up separate bag for me to sign. So, I complied and signed bag with wallet and other stuff. On 5.31.19, I was being transferred to crisis North Campus and again asked about my phone and black duffel bag and no one cared to answer me. I emphatically insisted someone to find my belongings with my divorce papers and composition BOOK used for writing poems, daily journals and ideas for my future as single divorcee in streets of Chester. I own a house in Newark, Dr since 1999 and was going thru property division portion of divorce. I arrived at North Campus and was committed to RM 109 next to nurse's station. First morning, the nurses insisted I go all the way to opposite end of hall for vitals or else NO BREAKFAST. I told them I had no crutches walker, or wheel chair and one nurse said I should hop. I said no way and asked if she ever been shot in the knee so they took vitals in room but complained about bringing meal trays to my room. A really caring nurse left me with a bell to signal help when needed. I rang bell 2 times and a nurse named, SANDY, a brown skinned black nurse came in my room with 3 security guards, snatched bell and told me to wait for my assigned nurse. I asked for bell and she said you won't be getting bell back. I told her she didn't give it to me so why take it away with no functioning electronic nurse calling device. I also asked guards did they find my phone and bag, they ignored me and walked out. Every morning, same fight about vitals and meals until my roommate recovered from detox and let me use his walker. I attempted to walk to other end for vitals with full length immobilizer on right leg and I couldn't make it and returned to my room. Nobody came for vitals and nobody brought tray for me. Someone was discharged and left a wheelchair for me so I started getting around better but was still in a lot of pain. Orthopedic therapist came a few times and told me I had a directive as a non weight bearing recovery ahead of me. I was in crisis for 17days, had stitching removed and had to get around in wheelchair the remaining days. At my daily treatment team meetings, my social worker asked me why wasn't I "strapped" meaning carry firearm and laughed. Everyone in meeting laughed except Dr. Rivera and I snapped telling her that wasn't funny people could have been shot if a gun battle took place in broad daylight across from a busy Post Office on Sproul St. in Chester. The treatment was very callous, insensitive, and uncaring. Everyday, I asked about my property and cellphone. Other patients acknowledged losing valuables to the extremely rude and clearly unprofessional security and nursing staff. I was then moved to 1st Steps 2nd flr in wheelchair for the remainder of my stay. Continued..
