I found them to be helpful, priced competitively and they've done good work. I've also sold a couple of bikes through then on consignment, and found that process to be amazingly simple and they get it done with a check to you fast.

I took my bike there the first week of Jan 2019 for a carb rebuild and tune up. The 3 times I was told it was ready I could not ride more than 20 miles before having problems. I got it the last time at the end of August and still can't ride it. 8 months and almost $4000 dollars later I'm looking for a better shop. I was told over and over and over again it would done ready in a couple of days. That went on for months. Twice I was told the mechanic that had been working on it was fired. I spent a small fortune having the tapits replaced and the problem was still the same. Find a better shop that doesn't blatantly lie to you.

I took my scooter in for repairs a week ago. After not hearing anything back, I called in today. They said that they hadn't even looked at it, and probably wouldn't look at it until friday. So, a week and a half wait to even get it checked out. Not exactly top notch service.

I saw in a previous review that these people are a mess. I called them Tuesday and they said they would call back. No call. Wednesday I call them and go through their finance stuff. Sat for 3 hours only to be told I am not approved. $4000 down on a $9000 bike and I got declined? If you want some attrition from a actual salesperson you might want to go somewhere else. I can t imagine her manager would be happy to know she is turning away money in such a matter.

I must admit I was hesitant to go to TJs based on some of the older reviews, but maybe the staff or management has changed since then. The store is very well stocked, maybe too much so, but they had the brake lever, oil and filter I was looking for which was nice. When I asked for a screwdriver and crescent wrench to install it, the counter guy just came out to the bike and put it on for me. Putting a lever on is easy don't get me wrong, but the effort by the parts staff was a refreshing experience.

I want to give some recognition to Paul Stanfill and the service team at TJ s Cycle for their outstanding customer support taking care of warranty issues with my new KTM Super Duke GT. He was open, honest and very competent with great follow up, and this is the best dealer service experience I ve had in many years of buying motorcycles.

This happened a few years ago but I'm still finding things that TJ's messed up on my motorcycle. I took my bike in for some carburetor work - the diagnosis alone took 3 weeks, the repair took another month with waiting on parts.

First, when i got my bike back the dash lights were blown out. It was annoying but I ignored it and went to ride home. On the ride home I had bolts popping out of my motorcycle due to them putting the bolts back in the wrong place. I called them and they played it off like it wasn't a big deal, essentially refusing to get a tow truck to me right away so that I could get back to work.

After holding the thing together while riding back to their shop, I regret them touching my bike again - they replaced the bolts and 'apologized' by replacing the lights in the dash, which I had to install myself.

Here I am a few years later, doing work around the carburetor to improve fuel efficiency - so far I have found the decompression cable is gone (this thing does not just fall off, had to be removed). It's a wonder the bike ran at all. Inside the carbs I found that they had installed the shims on the wrong side of the needle pin.

Seriously, I hope in the last few years you guys have figured out what a motorcycle is and how to work on it if you hope to continue charging people. I wish I had known more at the time and inspected the work myself, we would have handled this differently than a bad review.

Brian and the staff at TJ's are awesome. They are in the lifestyle 100% so it makes it easier to communicate with them. These guys are not a collection of stock boys with no clue about our ride. Yes, they do caters to KTM mostly but they can definitely help you out on other items as well. Is there a collection of gear, not just KTM oriented but all types is pretty good. I have a helmet and three jackets from there.

Don't have enough nice things to say about this group. Had to have some repairs done to my Honda Shadow after I laid it down. While it was in the shop I decided to add an engine guard and upgrade my saddle bags. All the repairs were done with my budget in mind and although the entire staff was been friendly and helpful, Brian in particular worked with me every step of the way and Scotty did an amazing job on my bike. It looks and runs better than ever.

Also, my husband was quoted a $700 carburator repair from another repair shop and even knowing this information Brian rode the bike, made a suggestion and $30 later it runs perfect. Genuinely nice and honest people.

Great family owned business that takes care of their returning customers. The parts department is wonderful and match or beat most prices, I don't buy any parts online anymore, no need to because TJ's gets them cheaper and I can feel good about supporting local.

The showroom is top notch, orange kool-aid heaven.

I have always been skeptical of dealerships but here you won't feel like another number they are trying to shuffle through the door. Really happy we have such a great KTM dealer in Austin.

Every time I've been there the service has been as good as it gets...(<- I wrote that 9 months ago and it was true) I have changed my review from 5 to 2 stars...partially because it's my fault for taking my Kawasaki Vulcan to a KTM shop for major work. I would venture to guess their KTM mechanic-ing is excellent. HOWEVER, Three weeks in now, I went to pick it up after stator replacement and had to take it right back because it was leaking a LOT of oil (they said it was an o-ring...) okay, BUT, it also acquired a whine like metal on metal from the crank-case that changes pitch with RPM that wasn't there before I had it dropped off...they said "some bikes sound like that" maybe...but it didn't before. THEN they called to say they fixed the leak but broke a filler plug (?) while checking for readiness to return it which has delayed it's return until sometime this week, maybe. :/. Caveat Emptor, choose the right tool for the job. That said, they're nice people but I should have taken it to a street bike shop.

What a gem for the Motocross and dirtbiking people of Austin! I have my fave road place (think orangutans), and now my fave dirt bike place too, and both are locally owned. These guys have a great selection of gear, parts and service materials, plus KTMs, Husqvarnas and others too. The staff know what they're talking about and share that knowledge freely and in a friendly way. When I'm in the market for a new bike, they'll be my first port of call. When I need dirt bike parts, this is my go-to.

I have been a customer for years, until i went last time for a tire mount mount. They did a terrible balance job. Unfortunately i didn't pay attention to it until several months after. By then both tires were gone that goes without saying the extreme vibration on the steering making riding unsafe. I do the mounts myself and not only save money but i do it right because unlike TJ's, i do care about my safety. No more T J's

Very friendly staff and owner's. They make you feel like part of their family. That's the reason I bought my motorcycle there, even though I live in Galveston and could buy it locally. They are great people. The prices are fair and service is great. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and answer your questions politely. I recommend them and will buy motorcycles from them in the future. Thanks to everyone.

Been coming here off and on for a long time. Each time, I'm greeted friendly and promptly. And most importantly, not talked down at.
When I purchased the '15 Yamaha FZ07, I knew I'd want to add a variety of things. Got the windshield installed on my own but the cases, crash bars, handguards, tail tidy, and shorty levers were out of my abilities.
I chatted with Paul over email about each item. He was patient with my lack of knowledge and helped me get the gear I wanted.
Once all the above came in, got the work scheduled. It was completed on time and done right.
Had the gear on for just over a month now. Everything is just what I was looking for.
Thanks to Paul and company for excellent work, patience with my questions and for taking care of my bike!

I have been riding Orange for quiet a while now but never went to TJ's Cycle until last week mostly due to their mix online reviews.

Decided to give them a shot, made an appointment over the phone with Paul who was able to answer all my questions regarding the 1290 Super Duke. They took my bike right on time and loaded the Akrapovic maps as expected, the price came out exactly as it was quoted over the phone. They even found a small problem with a missing cap and fixed at no cost.

Looking forward to bring my bike back in for the 1st service (will update review at that point).

It was okay, my son and I went in there to check out the bikes and gear. It was Saturday, it was us and one other customer. No one said anything to us after about 20 minutes of looking at bikes. We hung around a bit more then left. I do like their selection and will be back again, but jeeze guys!

What a great crew of folks at TJ's, I've been a customer for 6 years and have to give props to Paul Stanfill and crew for their professionalism, helpfulness and honesty.
I like having a dealer whom has concern and consideration for their customer and isn't out to vacuum dollars from wallets.
Go buy something from them and find out how a good dealer treats good customers!

Thanks Paul and TJ's, "I'll be back!"

Armando helped me take care of my 2017 KTM Duke 390's ECU issue. He worked with me until they were able to get to the bottom of the issue, and fixed it by reflashing firmware.

It's dealers like TJ's that make right what KTM did wrong.

Recent VERY proud owner of a 2020 KTM 790 Adventure R Rally which I bought from TJ's Cycle. Have purchased several KTM and Husqvarna dual purpose motorcycles from TJ's Cycle. Have traded-in several dual purpose KTM and Husqvarna dual purpose motorcycles with TJ's Cycle. Have also had several KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles serviced through TJ's Cycle, including my favorite, a 2003 KTM 625 SXC. Have purchased numerous parts, accessories, and apparel items since 2003, when I first came to TJ's Cycle. Tom, Brian, Larry, and the rest of the staff at TJ's Cycle have been superb, very special. Purchase process and trade-in process has always been clear and fair. Always well stocked with whatever items I have needed to keep my bikes in top shape and always sold at a fair price. Service technicians have always performed excellent work and the work has always been completed in a timely manner. One should always make an appointment to schedule service and you should honor that appointment with them. Show up on time. Always willing to help with anything I may need and to stop and visit for a while when I come in, which is just about each weekend, my second home. Please stop in and give them a visit.

Bottom Line: Make TJ's your first and last stop for motorcycles, gear, and service.

I picked up a motorcycle from them last month and it was my first new motorcycle purchase. Lots of selection, lots of gear, and great people working on the team.

The team: Brian (sales / management), Gavin (parts / accessories), Dylan (sales), and Jessica (finance / documentation) all pitched in to make my buying experience personalized, efficient, and all in all - fair. The team was very patient and informative with my questions in making my decision.

There were no "games" for buying the bike, they were very transparent in what the "out the door" cost included and I found no "fluff" costs.

The team does a great job and I was impressed in their urgency on a busy Saturday helping out all the other customers including myself.

Make sure you understand that this team is doing their best possible job and is making the luxury and fun of Motorsports available during all these COVID-19 precautions. Some reviews don't seem to understand that reality and assume otherwise.

Thank you TJ's cycle and the team for taking care of me! Y'all really listen and I appreciate the great service!

Went into buy a 2020 KTM 250 SXF. He showed me the total price out the door. I said perfect I ll take it paying cash. Two hours later I m still sitting in the chairs waiting for some to tell me something. Eventually I got up with my family and walked out the door. Several employees that knew I was buying a $9500 bike watched me walk right out the door and didn t say a word. Never asked if everything was good. I don t mind waiting, but their service is terrible. Sales person calls me about 40 minutes after I left to tell me the paperwork was ready. I told him no thanks I didn t want to spend my hard earned money there. He tried convincing me to come back and buy the bike. I wouldn t recommend this place if it was the only dealership for a 100 miles. TJs if you are legitimately short handed and things are going to be awhile, maybe you should tel your customers that so they can go take care of other things and come back at time when you will be ready to go over paperwork with them.

Everyone are very friendly, and it s always fun going there.
However, I let them install tubeliss for me, and expected them to balance the wheels as part of the installation.
They didn t even try as there are no weights on it, and it rolls terribly.
I hope they only forget to balance...

BAD SERVICE/NO SERVICE - I took my KTM 690R motorcycle from San Antonio to TJs Austin for 6k service work on July 12 though several of my "Club Members" warned me of their bad service. I was told by Arnoldo, "service manager" my +/- 5hr service would be completed on or before Friday July 20, 7 work days later . I called the following Wednesday to verify completion schedule with Armando and again was assured it would be completed. I asked him to please let me know if something changes as I was planning my day around this trip to Austin. I arrived from San Antonio on Saturday July 21 at 9 AM only to be told the service work had not even began. I was assured by Tom the owner and Armando, the "service manager" it would be done by noon and no later than 2pm. I arrived at 2 and the bike had not moved. No phone call. I wasted my whole Saturday because I chose TJ's. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE.

Great place to purchase a motorcycle! I bought a 17' KTM RC390 more than a year ago. The sales guy Dana, did not steer me wrong in what I wanted out of a motorcycle. Coming from a 1200cc V-Twin sport bike (Buell), I thought the KTM might be ok for a year or so, but this bike is super fun in the back roads and commuting in and out of traffic.

I stopped in today to look at helmets and even though the sales people were with other customers, I was still greeted and looked around the store without being pressured by anyone. Great job!

The new store looks great! And I plan to come back for some gear in the near future!

This isn t the kind of place you d normally take your Harley for troubleshooting of a problem but I took my v-rod here because i prefer smaller family owned businesses in general. Great service on intake and with updating me/calling for approval. At the end we had a discrepancy between the cost and the price quoted me, after i spoke to the guy running the service dept he said sorry and charged me the price quoted. For being true to their word they ve earned my business.
