Horrible customer service. Reserved a room then tried to cancel 3 weeks ahead of time because of flooding and they denied me. Said they CANT cancel reservations. Every time I ask to speak with a supervisor they hang up on me. I will have a lawyer reach out to them and hope no one have to go through this robbery again.

First off - I woke up with bedbug bites so BEWARE!

The location was good, and that deserve one star, but the service and security was horrible! I couldn't believe what happened! I went out and when I came back my key card didn't work. I went down to the front desk, gave my room # and was told that wasn't my room; and that no one was in that room. I was given another key card and another room number AND I WALKED INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE THEY WOULD GIVE ME THE KEYS TO SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM! That made me incredibly frightened of who else would access my room with all my stuff. Is this security breach even legal?!?!

When I finally checked out I asked for my bill and was told I didn't have a bill because I owe nothing. And then when I checked my credit card - sure enough there was a charge that I certainly did NOT incure. I can't believe the incompetence of this place! Don't stay here unless you're ready for trouble.

Stayed 8/11-8/17 for GUOOF Session. Overall, good experience! Excellent location and decor was decent. Tour person was friendly snd helpful. Beds are very high so shorties like myself have to hop in bed. No microwave or fridge. One rude desk clerk but all others were very friendly. The hotel conference food was super good and plentiful. Will visit again!!

Loved the location, the amenities, and the price! Service level and friendliness of the front desk was severely lacking! Not only did I have to go back in and try to pay for my valet parking they charged me three times for the same day. I caught it before walking out and walked back to inquire. The front desk clerk grabbed the receipt out of my hand with no response or interaction. There was no apology or explanation. She reissued the charge for the correct amount and handed it back to me with no words.... A sad excuse for service for such a beautiful hotel.

Very rude staff place is beautiful but it's just a money pit. I recommend getting a motel 6 before this. You will also be charged 60 doller parking fee that they do not inform you of till it hits your card while your asleep. Do not recommend at all

Didn't really like this place, my check-in was good with Byron, but after that it went down hill. I had someone call me from the staff at 2am saying they were coming to throw me out and they had the wrong person(do your research before you disturb ppl) called that morning to speak with management and they gave me the run around, so I left a message and no one called me back. 2nd night someone came to my room at 6am knocking on the door and when they heard my voice ran off, I once again called the front desk for them to review the cameras, they said they would and when I followed up the same morning they had no clue of what happened. I WON'T STAY HERE AGAIN.

**HORRIBLE SERVICE**
Everything was great...quick 2 day vacation with my girls. Until the last night...

We had taken a sunset airboat tour and then went to get a late dinner. We were all really tired by the time we got back to the hotel rooms - we had adjoining and left our doors propped open. We were sitting on the beds in one of the rooms when my friend screamed and jumped. It was a RAT!!!! A 6inch long rat was in our room!!!! It went from the bathroom into the next room. We freaked!!!! We were on the 3rd floor so it wasn't like we were on the first and it got in a open window. We immediately called the front desk and was told to come down. Come down?!!?!? We could not get off the beds.

Finally composing ourselves we quickly left the room. Went down to the front desk. They told us they would comp the room for the night and told us there was nothing else we could do, the hotel was booked solid. It was 12pm now and we were exhausted and now we have to SLEEP WITH A RAT in the room!!! We asked for someone to come up and look to ease our minds. No one was ever sent.

We wrapped and packed everything and settled down to try to sleep. I got zero sleep that night! We got up the next morning to find the print out with both nights on it. Now we had to go down and discuss again. It was then taken care of.

I'm appreciative of the comped room (although I think it should've been both nights) but I'm really disappointed no one came to the room and it was passed off like no big deal. This wasn't a bug. It wasn't dirty sheets. It was a 6 inch long rat!!!! And we had to sleep with it!!!!

Unacceptable! I will never stay there again.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! These people are straight thieves!! They charged my card $500 for a fire alarm that was supposedly pulled on our floor at 4:30 am while me an my family were asleep. When I called to dispute they told me that a guest reported seeing some enter our room at that time. Where is the proof that we pulled it and how come we didn't hear this alarm? I'm glad it was a false alarm because me and my family would have burned because I never heard the alarm go off. They refused to refund my money and be reasonable about the suspicious circumstances of this incident. When I checked out at the front desk no one even discussed this issue with me. There only comment to me was that they would discuss it with the fire marshal. Save your money. The hotel isn't that great and they are thieves!!

Well, it is a true disappointment.

Well, it is a true disappointment.

We literally just checked in about an 1 hour ago.
Our trip took us 16 hours to get here for this.

First of all, we booked a king's bedroom and hotel employee gave us double queen room. We went straight back to the lobby and got no apology but just were given another room.

So second, room appeared not clean enough, aged and bedding was terrible, very uncomfortable and no blanket at all.

Third, we took a hotel with a window in the middle of the Downtown to see the city, instead we got a room with a window facing wall! No daylight, no view, nothing. That shoud be announced upon checking in. Shame, shame, shame. It is slow in the hotel and you shoud warn us that there will be no normal window. I am so disappointed, I really wanna cry and flee the City tomorrow and thus terrible hotel.

And for the final, there is no parking in the hotel, they offer a valet parking which is super uncomfortable and pricey. Tada, do NOT recommend under any circumstances!

UPDATES after checking out. Hotel is not maintaining the pool area this time however they didn't decrease th price caused by this unfortunate issue. Also when we asked for extra towels (the amount they provide for 2 ppl is ridiculous!) They have provided 1 extra towel! Well, with such an approach it is better to avoid this hotel at any time!

Was here for a work event - room was clean but that's about the only positive thing about our stay. Due to the water ban they had water bottles at the desk but it was almost impossible to get some. The front desk was stingy about it. For $450 for 2 nights, a few bottles of water shouldn't be an issue especially when we are using them to brush our teeth and such, not even to consume. Front desk staff was some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered. We waited long than necessary for our rooms and were promised rooms together and after waiting almost 4 hours they still didn't have whag we asked for and we all got separated. Won't stay here again and won't recommend either.

Nice hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. Poor service. Lots of errors with room service and housekeeping and general staff didn't share any useful info about the hotel or its services. Three nights into our stay one of the staff told us there was a hotel balcony we could use to see Bourbon street - apparently he noticed that no one knew. The housekeeping manager kindly tried to correct her staff's mistakes but then they still brought us the wrong replacement towels, and the person taking the room service orders was very apologetic - I think they're just doing their best with incompetent staff. Overall, the hotel served its purpose because of the location so it was an ok stay there.

The lobby and the conference rooms are all very nice. And the rooms look nice at first... but our room had a leak which had soaked one corner of the carpet. The front desk had said that they were going to send up maintenance to fix it... but all they did was vacuum up the water, which was back the next day.

I am pretty sure that there was mold in the room as well from the leaking water, because I was getting a wicked allergic reaction while in the room for more than an hour or two.

This place has terrible housekeeping. There was a cockroach in my bathtub! I called housekeeping FIVE TIMES to come clean up the disgusting mess. They never showed. Two hours later I was still waiting and I never got to take my shower and I was late to my important dinner. This place is a total disaster.

WARNING! This hotel ripped me off for $236.39. I booked the hotel with credit card points and presented the voucher at check in. They charged my card for the stay instead of using the voucher. Then they told my credit card company that I did not present a voucher. I have been trying to get my money back for weeks. The hotel keeps transferring me to accounting, but no one ever picks up the phone. Rip off...Don't stay here!!!

The location of the hotel was perfect. When I first checked in i was given a room with another guest already assigned to it. The desk agent quickly fixed that problem and apologized. The room was neatly fixed and wonderful. The a/c wasn't working properly, but we made do. Will be back for more overnight stays.

This was a business trip for my wife, but I was able to tag along. First of all, if you want to park at this hotel, you MUST use their valet service (an additional charge of $50 per day). They don't tell you this when booking your room. You can use other parking means (public lots/garages) at a smaller charge, but that means you have to wheel your luggage to and from the hotel to the parking area. We decided to use the valet. Upon arrival, the bellman loaded the baggage cart and proceeded to bang it around into a private, locked area. I told him I would like to hold on to it until we check in. He said I wasn't allowed to hold on to my own baggage, but to come back when I had checked in. Wait, WHAT?! My wife went to check in (at 3:00 pm) and was told she didn't have the correct paperwork (for tax exemption and business expenses) because she had filled it out in Georgia and this hotel is in Louisiana. When we tried to use the business center to download and print the new forms (they didn't have any available at the desk), it was locked. We couldn't get in without a room key. Luckily an attendant was there and we talked her into letting us use the business center (how that happened, I have no idea - thank you ma'am!). When my wife was able to get all the paperwork together, guest services told her that she has to actually get someone from her organization to sign the paperwork. Luckily, because we were staying 4 nights they said we could check in and submit the paperwork when it comes in (I don't know why we couldn't do that first). However, our room isn't ready and we will be called as soon as it is available. Wait, WHAT?! Check in is supposed to be at 3 pm. By now it is 3:30 pm and our room still isn't ready? Wow. 45 minutes later, we were able to go to our room. I actually heard someone later that day say it took them 2 hours to get their room. Ridiculous. They did give us 2 free drink coupons for the bar because we had to wait, but you were only able to get Miller or Budweiser products or the house wine. Not much of a consolation in my opinion.

Some other issues we had with our stay:
The towels in the room are EXTREMELY rough. There was water on the carpeted floor when we checked in. There was no mini fridge. Some of the outlets in the room didn't work. The layout of the hotel is extremely confusing. For example, we were staying on the 3rd floor, and the pool and fitness center is also on the 3rd floor. However, they were on another area of the hotel on the 3rd floor, so you have to take the elevator down to the lobby, walk around to the back side of the lobby, then take another set of elevators up to the 3rd floor on that side. I thought maybe I just had to walk around, so I checked. Nope, you have to use both elevators to get from one side to the other.

I will say, if we needed anything (extra blankets and towels were requested at one point), they did in fact bring them in a timely manner. Housekeeping did do a good job of cleaning the room without taking anything.

We had a good time in New Orleans. The location was good, but if we ever return, we will be staying in another hotel for sure.

The room was satisfactory but when we checked out ...

The room was satisfactory but when we checked out we had left a bag in the room. Clearly it could only have been found by housekeeping when they cleaned the room but management was entirely indifferent and made no apparent effort to recover the bag. That amounts to tolerating theft, and I do not willingly do business with dishonest people.

I think this hotel is perfect for people who want the Bourbon St experience. It is very conveniently located on Canel and Bourbon St. The staff was extremely helpful (shoutout to Derrick our Bellhop who gave us a great tip on checkout yesterday). All that said maybe I am getting old (don t feel it at 44) but hotels never get higher than 3 stars if bedding isn t comfortable. Bedding is basically a sheet and thicker sheet. It just made me think they need something they can wash well, which when I thought through made me feel yuck. Also didn t like there wasn t hand soap in room. Also they have shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in pump containers, which means the hundreds of other people who showered there touched the same thing. . Anyway I can fix that by bringing my own. All in all I recommend people ask to stay in Alexa section of hotel (I think you will get less noise). Stay there if you want Bourbon St experience. I just think I am past that point now.

Top quality hotel with some lazy workers. The hotel is beautiful inside, room clean and comfortable. Workers passed the buck and stuff needed wasn't delivered to room, web after going to front desk. A couple of bad apples couldn't spoil the ambience of this place and it just so happen to be in the heart of French quarter. Loved it

Toilet had mold, concierge Frederico was useless, as soon as you walked out of hotel homeless people are begging for money. Hotel staff stood there and did nothing! They should have them move along as not to bother their guests. You won't sleep well because all you hear all night aid the elevator going up and down. No fridge in room, high rate for what they offer but it is a good location.

Had a great experience staying here with my husband. The place is very clean and the staff are very kind and there to help. My only complaint is the pool is on the small side. But both me and my husband spent most of our time out and about so pool really does not matter. It's also very well located next to frechman street and a few really great places like the Sazerac bar.

All staff members were polite and they were all very nice and interacted with my family. They also assisted us with switching rooms in the middle of the night and showed no irritation with our situation. The rooms were lovely as well. They were well cleaned and the beds were very comfortable.

The room we were given at check in on my wife s birthday was disgusting. Called the operator first to tell them we must have been sent to the wrong room. They assured us that the room was clean and we were in the correct room. Then I call IGH the company that owns crown plaza.. they refused to refund my money immediately because I used Expedia to book it. We had asked to just get our money back to go somewhere else but that would be to complicated for them to do. Long story short it took us 2 hours to get into a room that did not have poop in the toilet.. After talking to house cleaning they said this is the third time this happened today. I would recommend staying anywhere else. you can get better service in a $59 motel.

Rooms clean and well kept, staff very friendly and accommodating. Make sure to tell them when you check in if you are there for business or not, which will determine what room you will be assigned. If you don't specify that you are there for a business trip you might end up in a room that is quite noisy due to close proximity to Burbon Street. This happened to me, assigned a beautiful ultra high ceiling room that overlooked Canal Street but had some guy playing the drums all night outside. The desk staff were accommodating and switched my room for free at 11pm since I couldn't sleep. The next room was much quieter.

The staff was attentive to our needs and provided excellent service. From the front desk to servicemen and women behind the scenes; our stay felt like being back at home. It was a true indulgence and money well spent.

I was in town for a convention so I spent very little time in my room.

The good:
The guys who ran the bell desk and provided security at night for the front door were great and very friendly and helpful.

The water pressure on the 7th floor was awesome.

The pillows were very exceptional. The bed was fine.

The bad:
Had to wait in line 20 minutes to check in. It was 1pm on a Sunday. The room wasn't ready and I was told I'd get a text when it was. That never happened and I had to wait in line again to get my room at 4:30.

The maid moved my things. I get real paranoid when I leave my toothbrush in a glass and come back and its laying on the counter. I bought a new one.

They held $150 on my card for incidentals without telling me. Not a huge deal but I thought it was high and I didn't charge anything to my room.

The ugly:
I had to wrestle with the shower diverter to take a shower.

The toilet didn't flush well.

No vent fan or broken vent in the bathroom. Room was slightly dank. Not the good dank either.

I love that they put in soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower as it is a cost savings and environmentally a better choice, but I hated the cheap ones they selected. They dont work well and getting enough soap out of a pump that dispenses a droplet of soap at a time was frustrating.

To be totally fair I made no complaints but paying just under 800 for 3 nights I expected more.

I'm loyal to IHG and chose this hotel for that reason however I wouldn't stay here again. I know it's more difficult to manage large hotels but if there was a HI Express closer to where I needed to be I'd have had none of these issues and have paid half as much.

Really nice rooms! The workers were extremely nice and helpful. There was no tv guide in the room so finding channels was a nightmare, and the rooms and hallways were really dark. Other than that great room and great service!

1st let me start off saying that this hotel is in a perfect location! Its right off Bourbon st and smack in the middle of Canal where more restaurants and stores are located. This place is very clean, staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Yes it's a bit pricey but its worth it. This would be my go to hotel whenever I visit again

Had an amazing time in New Orleans. Just wish the hotel was cleaner. My rooms walls were cracking with brick showing behind it. Also the room cleaning lady don't know how to read. I clearly had my "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on my door knob and she walks in on me half naked. Hope she enjoyed the show. And make sure you bring your own wash clothes cause they don't have any.

Let me start by saying I am writing this because I am the person who scours reviews to find the perfect hotel. I'm doing this for us! *smile*

Pros:
I was able to check in early which was great. My first room was located behind the elevator AND there was a massive air conditioning vent outside my window. I requested to change rooms and it was done without a problem. The staff is great! During my stay I locked myself out of the room and the ladies at the front desk were pleasant about getting a new card for me. I also had a late flight back home and the bellman was pleasant about storing my bag after my checkout. The hotel is located on Bourbon street so it is definitely right at the noise, and though I was on the 11th floor, I could still hear when the band cranked up. However, I was not there during a peak holiday so the noise died down during normal sleeping hours. The beds were really comfortable!
The breakfast was delicious, though I'd like to have something different at least every other day. With that being said, the Cajun grits are delicious!
It is convenient to the streetcar, and though they don't have a live band, they're plenty places that do in walking distance (two minutes walking).

Cons:
I did notice some residue under the desk and quite a few spills on the carpet and along the wall in my room. My blankets did have some faint stains, but nothing that hinted toward them being unwashed. There were small bugs in the bathtub that kept returning each night. I asked housekeeping about bug spray, but they just wiped them away...and they returned the next day.

Overall, it's not a horrible place to stay, but there are a few things they could do concerning housekeeping that would make the location even better.

Beautiful big suites, helpful staff. I had problems logging into the wifi, but the desk was helpful. Too many beggars and scammers hang out in front. IHG needs to move to doormen out of the lobby to patrol the situation.

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon ...

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon over Halloween weekend. It was definitely expensive, but very reasonable compared to nearby options and it was our honeymoon, so I feel it was worth it.
The location can't be beat if you want extremely easy access to the joyful chaos of Bourbon St., but also want to be able to escape to the more "subdued" areas of the French Quarter. There's also a very convenient streetcar stop directly across the street. (Plus, $3 24 hour streetcar passes, as of 10/31/2016) Which makes it very easy to experience Uptown and the Garden District.
It can be a bit on the noisy side, but that's to be expected with Bourbon St. so close. The room was very nice. The beds were a bit firm, but still plenty comfy. The room didn't come with a mini fridge, but they brought one up about 20 minutes after I answered a survey associated with their wifi and mentioned that a fridge would make my stay better. I didn't even have to ask them directly. The mirror in the bathroom was AMAZING! You know that perfect glowy look that Instagram makeup gurus have in their pictures? It gives you that. No kidding.
My only complaint is that they did go a little over a full day without cleaning our room, and when they finally did clean it, they didn't give us enough towels. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.
