The room was perfect. We were lucky enough to get a room overlooking all of the energy and excitement. It was amazing. The hotel was beautiful and service was great.

Love that it's on Canal street. Pool was closed though. Only valet parking
CHECK YOUR ENTIRE BILL!
For the most part, our stay was enjoyable. The location was good for what we wanted to do. The desk workers were friendly when we checked in. We deny room service so I cant comment on that, but the woman let us exchange our towels one morning.
Our last night the fire alarms started going off at 250AM and went off 5 more times until 850am. We basically got zero sleep. And no explanation from the front desk when I called to make sure things were safe.
Then check out really affected my feelings. Doing a 4 night stay and booked a promotion directly through Crowne Plaza for buy 3 nights and get the fourth night free. I asked for a receipt of all charges when we were leaving the hotel. First, I noticed they didn't even have the promotion applied to my bill. Then I noticed there were charges from the restaurant to my hotel room that I never applied. How did someone else get charges to my room?! Did they just take their word for it that the room number they gave was actually theirs without scanning their key card?!
I immediately brought this up to the desk attendant. First, he never even acknowledged the issue. No 'sorry, let me look in to this for you' and no amount of customer service. He was quiet the entire time even as I was explaining my email confirmation showing the promotion and the rate I was given. Again, completely quiet, no explaining what he was trying to do to look in to for me. He finally hands me the adjusted bill and just says he took one night off. I say again, it is still not the rate I was given in my confirmation email when I booked the room and that I booked this hotel specifically because of this promotion and rate. I get zero response from the gentleman and no eye contact. At this point I realize this is going to go absolutely nowhere, and had just spent 20 minutes at the hotel desk and needed to leave for the aiport.
Now I have a call in to management there, and awaiting a call back before disputing the charges with my credit card company and talking to someone from corporate as this rate offer seems like a total scam.
I waited for over and hour to park. Then the parking cost was 47.00 and the room was over priced. Bed hard , no face towels , the elevator was broken ... hated this state and only been here for 2 hours
Bar service great. Shared local spots to go! Love that they had water available in the lobby. Good location too!
Nice living area, no continental breakfast and had key card problems but the staff was cool.
Got the room at an great rate as part of a mystery hotel booking. Location was great. Right on Bourbon Street and about 8 blocks to the French Quarter. Only complaint is that the walls are a little thin, if you catch my drift. But my wall mates were relatively tame so it wasn't bad.
It is in a great location right along Canal and Bourbon Street. There is no microwave or mini-fridge unless you pay $25/eqch extra a night; room was overall nice though. Valet parking was horrible and makes me never want to stay at the hotel again though.
This is a beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff and in a great location on the French Quarter. We had a very large group stay there and they were so wonderful to all of us.
While convenient location, it's also the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed, especially the Alexa tower. Street noise was terrible all night and nearly impossible to sleep. Do not recommend at all.
While the rooms were decent, nothing went the way it should. More work than its worth.
Not favorite service, rooms are small, but decent location
was so spoiled here, love that they store luggage for you before you check in and after. So your able to continue touring around with hauling everything along with you. Also loved that its conviently next to food : Mcdonalds, Popeyes or thd delicious Willies Chicken Sack. Across the street from 2 coffee shops: Pjs (delicous lavender white mocha) Starbucks (cute suvenior cups). Has a Walgreen and CVS a block down. Then RIGHT behind most importantly , the french quarter!!!!! You can drink, shop then walk back to rest at your room. i loved it! only thing no breakfast included but overall loved everything!!
Avoid the old part called the "Historic" annex. The rooms are small and cramped. The room was just barely wider than the bed was long. One person could walk past but not two. Whenever anyone shut a door to their rooms. the pictures on our wall rattled. The air-conditioning was less than adequate. I set the temp to its lowest setting, but both of us were sleeping on top of the bed covers.
Wasn t the worst, wasn t the best, but it did the job. Its location is probably the main selling point.
Excellent service, good location and the attached restaurant is delicious.
Great spot central Bourbon street side deck is great to veiw street The pool is ok on a sunny day
Terrible service and over charged me on the billing DO NOT BELIEVE THE ONLINE RATES
On our arrival the front desk staff was very nice. They upgraded our room because I could not take how small our original room was. We received a suite and though the room was large, the room was very outdated. The bathroom shower handle did not work and the toilet had an odor to it. When checking out there were three ladies standing at the front desk talking, as we waited to just give them the keys. I finally said excuse me and one of them responded rudely. She said excuse her because she was busy talking about something having to do with work. I said you called us up and your not helping us...she was just rude. So between that and the outdated room, this hotel is off our list.
Don't really remember so must have been a good time
Very clean and right on Bourbon Street. Best location.
The air quality in the rooms is bad and smells strongly of mildew. This issue is bad enough that both my mother and I wasn t able to sleep well and it was harder to breathe as if we had a cold the next morning bad. Both of us had to take a Zertec pill to clear our sinuses. I informed managements three times during the following day of the issue: once with the cleaning lady around 9am and she said she informed her manager; next with the front desk around 9:20am and they said they would investigate: again around 5pm (after I got out of my conference) and they said there was nothing they could do because the hotel was full so please call the manager; and again at 8:30pm at night so I left a second message. Further, you can t open a window for fresh air. We had to keep the door to our room propped open because the air in the hallway is far better. If you have any sort of sensitivity to mildew or allergy, it is best advised that you do NOT stay at this hotel.
Great hotel for the price. Stayed for a convention and it sits right on canal and bourbon st. So your right in the middle of all the action no matter the day.
Free ear plugs to sleep. Great beds, adequate bedding. Lots of towels.
Several adjacent restaurants you can enter from inside lobby.
Mac makeup store access in lobby as well on canal street.
Stellar bellhop service.
Even on a busy exit day, monday we got out in record time.
Definitely as a structure the hotel was several buildings put together but in the heart of New Orleans it was just, well character.
Great views from room, from balcony on 2nd floor conference area..
Convention side:
Not enough water on conference floor, ever.
Slow opening of conference rooms, lack of staff or communication not sure which.
The location was UNREAL, you are right off Bourbon St and there is a balcony that overlooks the strip. The pool was small but such a nice perk when you just want to sit and relax. The room was a bit musty smelling, but they came and freshened the room up for us. The lobby/entrance is beautiful, you will feel like luxury when you walk in.
I bought a Groupon to stay in the hotel about 4 hrs before I checked in. The hotel had no record of it and they were completely unwilling to call Groupon and said the hotel was fully booked. After being in the lobby over 30 min I finally worked it out with Groupon and got my room. They took a cc for damage deposit and wouldn't you know the pukes took $132 from my cc. Never contacted me about any issue just took $ out. The room was left completely the same as when I arrived minus one unmade bed. Hotel is nice but these losers tried to take advantage of me. I immediately disputed the charges and got my $ back
Only gave one star to write a comment. Deserves no star mice running around in the rooms and halls as much as they charge it should be better than that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rooms are clean and modern. My room was 3 rooms down from the elevators and the elevator motion could still be heard, all night and all day. AC/Heat is motion sensitive so the room gets noticeably warm at night when no motion makes it stay off. Hotel TV is a large LG LED. Staff are friendly. Easy to find the hotel and easy to get to almost anywhere in the surrounding area.
Great hotel close to all the fun. Clean rooms and great staff.
Got this on Priceline for a bargain and enjoyed it. Search for a 4 star in the French Quarter and save. Was every bit a 4 star and at the start of the West side of Bourbon Street.
Very comfortable and friendly staff made our stay wonderful. Will definitely go back.
Absolutely beautiful hotel... where i will stay from now on
Surprised it's crown the Halls are dirty front desk unattentiv. Furniture in lobby looks like people sleep on it. I never thought I'd say this but Harrah's is thousands better
Was a clean and nice hotel with great staff. But who charges $24 for only 24hr of wifi. And our first room had ants... But they gave us a new room right away.
Friendly helpful staff, comfortable clean room. Right next to Bourbon St
Beautiful Hotel, close to everything! Highly recommend.
Let s start with the good things. The food at the Bourbon House is always good and the location is excellent.
Now with the not so good. The comforter on the bed is super thin and the sheets don t fit, so trying to cover up at night is a challenge at best. Our sons bed was so squeaky loud that it kept him up during the night. There are no wash cloths in the rooms, no bath mat, and only two towels. Housekeeping never made it to our room. There was a perpetual wet spot outside the bathroom door on the floor. The bathroom sink didn t drain. The front desk staff was apathetic to rude depending on the time of day.
I ve stayed in Crowne properties all over the world and I am a top tier in their rewards program. I don t recommend this property.
A great location, downtown New Orleans. Great food, great staff. Everything you would expect staying at a Crown Plaza.
We walked, drove and rode a tour bus around New Orleans and fully intend to go back and do it all over again when the weather cools. Love this beautiful city and the people there.
Well located but old hotel with no view! Our bedroom 6th floor was facing a walk and down were the AC ......noise!
Good location, right on the corner of Bourbon Street. However, the room was very small for the price you pay and you have to pay extra ($50 extra) for valet parking. An issue I am currently having with the hotel is getting my deposit back. We left the room clean without breaking or damaging anything so I called a few weeks after and they claimed I received it back. Had to go through my bank and get the situation sorted out. Most likely wont staying here again.
Nice room with a view of Canal St. I would recommend valet parking for the ease. Check in experience was pretty bad and took about 45 minutes for me and longer for others in my party.
Didn't stay at hotel. Attended for a dance convention. Helpful employees and great access to the French Quarter.
Small rooms with few amenities, but fantastic location.
No fridge or microwave... stayed for 9 days. Hot as hell out and you can't have a fridge...
Lots of crowds around the area very nice place to enjoy the view and drinks and area....
Beds were comfy, but the blankets need to be improved. They were the most uncomfortable blankets i've ever used. Felt like sleeping with sandpaper.
That Jesus preacher guy will wake you up at 7 in the morning, so I suggest taking the blow dryer and turning it on to drown out that guy, and tha's if you like a white noise.
Suggestion for the hotel- If your going to lay mouse traps I would suggest checking every day to see if a mouse was caught.I just so happen to find a dead one in my room. Looks like it's been dead for a while. Pretty gross if you ask me. I notified the front but nothing was done.
Location is to die for. Can get pretty loud during the Mardi Gras days.
Accomodations as well as location truly cant be beat
Tidy, good location--close to the action but not right in the middle of it. The block it's on has some tacky souvenier shops and a liquor store, but that seems to be the M.O. for new Orleans. Only a little loud. Would be nice of there was a coffee shop or breakfast place on site.
Sunny the night manager is extremely rude, and condescending, has absolutely no people skills, and is tackless and trashy, Sunny almost ruined my vacation, due to her ignorance and arrogance. A gentleman and lady named Marshall and courtney saved my almost ruined vacation. Those managers need to be commended,as for sunny you could learn alot from those two employees, about class, and respect,I recommend you should be fired, and I will do all I can to make that a fact.
Hotel was poorly maintained. Bourbon House restaurant was below average and over priced.
This is an outstanding hotel. Lynn and Myrtle go out of their way to make sure you have all you need for your event and they make sure their banquet staff is well trained. Everyone is so helpful and friendly! The IT guys at PSAV in the hotel are also top notch. This is the place to go if you are holding an event!
Perfect Location. Superb staff. Zarionne at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate our room requests, and inform us about the area. She even sent up a bottle of Champagne for my husband's BIRTHDAY. The head of security was very friendly and informative also.
The pool is too small. The workout center is great
Currently staying in the CP and the rooms are so hot and muggy, you want to escape the heat and humidity of New Orleans in your room but you can't, your room is just as humid!! I was in the elevator with another family and they said the same thing! You cant get a good night's sleep because it's so hot. You can't hold your significant other because you're both hot and sticky. Called them from the room twice asked for a fan and they have nothing to offer.
Beautiful hotel locatedcin the heart of the French Quarter. It is literally steps from the Bourbon Street experience, food and shops. Heavily secured area. Our only gripe was the valet parking. I say gripe because valet parking, especially at almost $50 a night, should be VERY easy. Canal is a very, very busy street and you have to compete with other cars, trucks, bikes and pedestrians in order to actually be able to pull up to the front of the hotel to use the service. Other than that the accommodations and service were great.
Very nice hotel. A little pricey during Mardi Gras, BUT can't beat the location
Simple yet beautiful rooms , comfortable bed , right nex to Bourbon street
Horrible hotel. Service is horrible. Ghetto for a lack of better word. Was not visiting for essence but because I was black they assumed we were, so while whites were treated with smiles, I was treated with attitude and disrespect. Waited 2 hour for our room. Will never stay again. Didn't even matter that we were elite members of IHG.
It's a very nice hotel right in the middle of it all. They provide earplugs in your room. I haven't needed them yet.
It was a beautiful and great hotel. The staff was very accommodating.
Ants...
Noise...
Cold Showers...
Stained carpets...
2 towels for 4 people despite repeated reminders...
TV signals are unreliable...
Did I mention this is the newly remodeled room?
Rooms are small and clean. They're not bad, but there missing some minor equipment like a fridge/minibar. We didn't try the room service.
The location is great, right at bourbon street, but that comes at a price: no parking spots nearby. Only option offered from the hotel itself is valet for 41$ + tax + tips (it takes at least 20min to retrieve your car and it's not ensures in case anything happens to it).
Great place and best of all their staff was very nice and kind.
A nice hotel with pleasant staff in an excellent and convenient location to explore NOLA. It does get a bit loud on the weekends, but it's what you would expect at a hotel so close to Bourbon Street.
Great wifi... Beautiful hotel... Maintenance staff does not do the best job, unfortunately.
Not a bad place, a little pricey. Parking was valet and $50 a day. Great location in the French Quarter.
Beautiful hotel right in the French Quarter! Easy access to Bourbon & Canal streets!
The first night at the Crowne Plaza was welcoming. Ear plugs are provided as its located right next to Bourbon street and it can be very loud. I had no problem sleeping with the ear plugs. The pool area is nice but the pool is small and can fill up quickly. The central location makes most destinations easy to walk to.
Awesome place, nice people they even got us in when the place we had reservations for was a TOTAL DUMP...... Thanks Crown Plaza
Wonderful hotel, gorgeous lobby/rooms.
Only complaint is the beds were hard as rocks.
It was okay, too many extra charges for things you don't use
Worst crowne plaza experience to date. Low water pressure, no hot water, no breakfast for a spire elite member, ignored by the staff.
No complaints at all. Service, staff location. We didn't try their food.
If you have a problem and they over charge you, give up. I have contacted 6 managers, corporate, and numerous staff members and NO ONE will call me back. I've left a review, then I get a response, they contact me, then they NEVER RESPOND BACK! They owe me $300+ and they don't care.
1. We didn't get the room we asked for and confirmed 3x
2. The fridge we rented had mold and food COVERED, not even looked at.
3. They offered us a free meal then charged us $300 for it!!!
4. I am a member and Ive NEVER been treated so poorly.
5. They are told to ignore calls, I heard a manager say "Oh her again?, just hang up".... then click! IM LIVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The rooms are great, ours looked over the pool. At night it was really fun to go stand out by the pool and look over the balcony at people! It did get very loud around 12 when everyone came in from the streets (I think it was a bridal party) but it died down pretty quickly. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good, ,along with extremely friendly employees!
I was here for a conference last week and it was a very nice stay! Great conference rooms and good location in the French quarter!
I went to the Crown Plaza in October for a conference and it was a great experience. The rooms are clean and the staff is courteous. The location of the hotel is right at the French Quarter which contributes greatly to the vibrant character of the city.
Great location! Out the side door and your on Bourbon St. but not loud so that you can't sleep if it's an early night. Very helpful staff. Room service was awesome. Seafood Fettuccini was fabulous! I had a club Sandwich and it was more than I could eat. The only drawback is that they have really bad satellite service. You would be watching a movie and it would just freeze. You probably won't mind if your not spending time in the room. All in all a wonderful experience.
Really nice hotel, the older style look really adds to the charm
Staff was rude and unfriendly.Manufactured a $60 per night incidental fee, ( for a total of $300 additional ) that was never mentioned at time of booking. reservation and topped it off by lying saying all hotels changed that fee. We have visited New Orleans at least 5 times and stayed at different hotels eack time. This was the first time we were ever asked for incidental fees Stay at this hotel at your own risk. Also, see reviews about bedbugs.
