LOVED IT!! That day, I was the Benson bride. Loved having a wedding here. The staff were fast, respectful, and nice. And the restaurant was good too. Very unique. Everyone was super nice. Thank you Benson!!!

Very nice lobby. Friendly staff. Didn't use much of the services though.

Old hotel, very comfortable bed, small room. It was under construction again when we were there. As it was when I was there before.

Interior room has been newly renovated which is really nice. Only thing is valet cost $40 per night.

Great hotel with a retro 1920 feeling. Friendly front desk staff. Nice little surprise when you arrive in the room - they have a little post card signed by manager with your name on it. Room is clean but the wall is a little thin. A pleasant stay!

The Benson was beautiful. The bed was amazing and the location was perfect for the concert we attended. The only issue we had was the water took too long to warm up.

Hotel is beautiful. Only reason it doesn't get a 5 is for the bathroom. The sink is tiny, and not much hot water. But that's mostly being picky.

Great happy hour drinks, the hummus with pickled vegetables was amazing and well priced.

Beautiful interiors, I had settled in a penthouse overlooking the city, very beautiful. Staff is quite courtesy as well. Room was spotless clean and the stay was very enjoyable. I look forward to future stays if I find myself in Oregon again.

Beautiful downtown hotel. Beds are very comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

The service staff were very kind and helpful... The hotel lobby was awesome. Felt old and mildly majestic. The elevator was tiny and slow. The room was ok. It looked nice at first but if you looked very closely the paint was cracking in spots and had the feel of an old hotel trying to look modern. The bathroom only had a shower and I'm not a huge person but I barely fit in it by myself. No fan in the bathroom either. Overall it was a decent stay but I felt like it wasn't worth the price.

Nothing wrong with the rooms themselves, but the desk staff repeatedly LIED claiming that our reservation for a two bed room couldn't be given to us going they were out. It took hours of arguing with the front desk staff before they gave in and gave us our reserved room. Will never risk staying there again.

The atmosphere is very desirable and the price is more than fair. The service and food are also fantastic.

A very nice hotel in a vintage building. From the car valets to front desk and the concierge service all were helpful and very proud professionally. The room was outstanding and comfortable. There are so many amenities that there is not space to lost them all. I recommend the Benson!

The bathroom is rather uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Lovely historic hotel in downtown Portland. Gorgeous lobby with an exquisite huge mirror at the landing going up the stairs to the mezzanine level. Staff are Cordelia and efficient. Valet parking makes life easier (at a cost, of course). Room is comfortable and spacious. Shower is powerful! Enjoyed our stay.

Renovated rooms are very nice. Though an old hotel they kept it up well.

Very nice I enjoyed my stay. City of hipsters, I also love the food trucks that are near this place. Hotel was very clean and had no issues. Comfortable beds too!

Luxury hotel. There is a bathtub and it is comfortable for Japanese people. There are bar, shop, restaurant, tram station in the neighborhood, too and is convenient.

Hotel has a nice atmosphere, very welcoming. Our room was newly remodeled with a great layout and comfortable facilities.

Excellent classic and historical hotel in downtown Portland. The staff was efficient and made us feel at home. The junior executive suite was larger than most apartments with a king bed and queen sofa bed. Great views of downtown and surprisingly moderately priced. A must stay for all looking for a comfortable centrally located upscale hotel.

Rooms are clean and modern. Location is right downtown convenient to many public transportation options.

I came to see the gingerbread castle, so I only spent a few minutes inside but it looked like a beautiful and cozy place.

Great hotel, has a lot of amenities. We got free appetizers at the bar and complimentary wine & beer on one evening. However, there are no washers onsite. So you have to go somewhere else to do your laundry.

The room was clean and beautifully decorated. There was no bath tub but the Benson was located in an older downtown Portland building. I enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Always a wonderful environment to meet up with friends.

The environment of the Benson is fantastic. Everyone who works there are very professional and nice. Love the location being by great attractions.

My now-wife and I chose to stay at The Benson for our honeymoon. They kindly upgraded us to a junior suite from a regular room, and provided a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The staff has been very helpful if we've had questions about things to do and places to see while we're here.

Solid place for formal events and a night downtown. A real step back in Portland history to extremely high quality service at rates that make sense for the experience. Great place to meet up for a quick business drink and conversation and work it out.

Lobby was nice, one elevator was out of service for repair which meant waiting in a line for a couple of rounds of runs. The ballroom our event was in was clean and nice. The servers were very polite.

Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, lots of pillows, great location, and walk in shower.

This is the first time I've been to The Benson. It's a beautiful hotel, with a great history. The room was a bit small for the price, and the bathroom was about half the size of any other hotel bathroom I've seen. The bed was extremely comfortable though. The service was good. Room service was fast. But in all honesty I probably won't stay here again. You can get more for your buck at other places.

Checked out The Palm Court & its live music. The Bylines were performing - they were Great, the Vibe was Kewl, the cocktails were yummy

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are great and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location! I would recommend it to everyone.

A bit old, the room I got is very small not even a place to put the suitcase. The carpet smells a little bad and in the evening a very unpleasant smell emanates from the bathroom!

A nice luxury hotel located in downtown/the pearl. Wonderful room service which is to be expected for the price. Nothing to distinguish it from the other luxury hotels in the area.

Nice classy lobby, remodeled rooms with nice shower and good bathroom amenities. Slippers available (but not to take home!), bathrobe, etc. We celebrated my husband's bday there and got 2 small brownie cakes (usually $4 a piece) that were really delicious! The concierges were incredibly nice and detailed in their explanations. Theres a free wine tasting on friday and saturday afternoon, as well as free coffee and tea in the morning.

We only entered the banquet room downstairs. The space was large, a little on the older side. The party was 20s themed, so the ambiance was great. The bar service was friendly and I'm not sure if the catering was through the hotel, but the food was good and had great variety.

Smallish rooms, comfy historic feel. Brought our dog and the treats and toys were nice, but no help in finding an area for her to relieve herself. Only 1 staff person at reception during check-in time with 3 people waiting. Great location, valets, and bell people.
