Great rooms and service. Right outside of the French quarter.
Great rooms and service. Right outside of the French quarter.
Nice hotel in great location. My air conditioner leaked water on to the carpet. I told them twice and they didnt seem to care. Attached to nice restaurants.
Nice hotel, relatively nice staff, too. Unbeatable location. Definitely worth it.
Customer service was top-notch. The staff was courteous and attentive. Being in the heart of the action made our stay that much better. The complimentary breakfast was great and I would choose this hotel the next time I come to New Orleans!
Nice room and staff with reasonable prices this hotel is surrounding around everything including the trolley street cars restaurants shopping stores bourbon street walking distance to Harrah s Casino I would recommend this hotel to others people
Came to N.O. last minute for a quick getaway. .... I understand the no house keeping thing what ever not a big deal...... I would have liked to k ow that the hotel is being used as a spot for the displaced people I am guessing due to hurricane. ...again that's great BUT what I didn't like was the way people hung out outside the hotel all day and night drinking smoking sell drugs etc. Not cool at all. As for the hotwl..... omg that bed was awful lol it was like sleeping on a floor I swear. Anyway in general hotel was clean overall beds not so comfy outside area in front not the best place to be.
Nice clean hotel with a great location. Super hot showers with great water pressure. Big flat screen t.v. and a nice view of the city. Staff was super friendly. Use the spot hero app to find better parking because their valet service is like 60 bucks a day. We got parking less than a block away for half that. Don't bother with the restaraunt down stairs the wait staff was more interested in chatting with each other than serving guests even when it wasn't crowded at breakfast. The French toast was amazing though. You are super close to the action down here though. Totally within walking distance of all of the French quarter.
From the time we pulled up to the valet to checking in at the front desk the service was terrible. The bed was like sleeping on bricks. The house keeping forgot to give us fresh towels so we had to call down to front desk, which then took forever for them to bring us towels. The service from the people there was terrible.
i would stay at an Airbnb instead of this hotel. The location is great, but there is a distinct smell of mold, and i was moved to another room because there was a varmint in mine when I came back after dinner. Either a large mouse or a rat.
Would give 5 stars if the maids hadn t stolen my $70 speaker and the hotel manager proceeded to do nothing about it.
Nice room. Good access to Bourbon St. Newly renovated. Could use a fridge.
Was nice hotel great view and pool walking distance to all the fun
A wonderful hotel with lots of character, a great bar and bourbon room, and friendly staff.
Great location, nice hotel. They just didn't give us clean towels daily. We had to go request them at the front desk
Great service. Bathroom needs updating but great hotel.
Worst hotel experience ever. I booked a club level room for a conference in NOLA and a month before the conference they downgraded me to a regular room. First time I have ever been downgraded. The room was noisy, dirty and small. The bed was uncomfortable and hard with the worst bed covers. I was cold all night and had to wear my clothes to bed. I could not sleep it was so noisy and light in my room. I called management to try to change rooms and all they did was stonewall and argue with me. I just couldn't stay there another minute so I cancelled the rest of my stay. The manager also threatened to charge me another night if I didn't leave by 11:00 and we were having the last of several discussions at 11:06am. This is the worst and you would be better off any where else.
Nice location right on Bourbon Street. Good side room but we didn't like there was no fan in the bathroom and there was no cold water out of the faucet.
The location is convenient, posted on Canal St very close to the French Quarter. We stayed in a single king and it was a nice room. Would stay again.
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean. The staff is courteous and professional.
Check in was a breeze. Room was clean, nice and comfy. Location doesn't get any better for Bourbon St. If your flight leaves after checkout, the bellhop will hold your bags until your ready to go to the airport.
Decent location but in my opinion the rooms are overpriced. The smell of sewer water & puke/piss was very apparent as soon as you get out your car or walked outside the hotel. The rooms are small with no fridge or microwave. The vent in the bathroom of our room was so dusty or moldy (I'm not sure what it was) The sink was clogged the entire time. The walls are thin. The mattress was kind of hard. The staff customer service was hit and miss. Some people were warm and friendly, others (particularly the young foreign lady who checked me in) wasn't as friendly or customer service minded as I expect. The spaces (ballrooms) upstairs where our event was held were amazing though. Valet was very short staffed and took about 45 minutes to get my car to me when it was time to check out even though I called from the room (but it was (5:30am). Overnight parking/valet is $50 whether you actually have to use your car during your stay or not. Yet, wherever your car is parked is apparently not safe as I was led to believe by the warning signs. The cancellation policy is 72 hours in advance or you will still be charged.... They will not check your eligibility for better rates that you may qualify for when you book. The rep who checked me in told will book and tell you "I can't change anything now" once you check in. I forgot to ask about the military rate.
Amazing stay. Friendly customer service and the rooms were clean. Balcony over bourbon street on 2nd floor where you can smoke and view the drunks walking down the street lol. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!!
Beautiful view, phenomenal service, spacious dining area...was here for my boyfriends law banquet and needless to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Five stars, highly recommend!
Clean, spacious room. Conveniently located on bourbon st.
Great experiance, clean and nice and convenient. Had a blast. This is my 3rd different hotel we stayed in NOLA and by far the best
I was treated so poorly at this hotel. The front desk lady was incredibly rude to me. I had a simple request to get into my room and the front desk lady told she was irritated with me while I remained calm and polite. If you want to be treated like a respectful human being, I do not recommend this hotel. Stay somewhere you will be treated with the decency and respect you deserve.
Very central which is great but no hot shower (warm at best), intermittent heating (mid 20s overnight) and in need of maintenance work. Normally i wouldn't review but when i went to get a luggage trolley to leave after our stay the porter said "sorry but at high end hotels like this you need to get your luggage collected".
A very polite reponse but seriously misguided!
Beautiful hotel, with historic charm. We will be staying there again. As with any place in the French quarter, take advantage of the free ear plugs if you plan on sleeping.
Nice, but the first room was STINKY! Smelled like an old man doused the curtains with Old Spice.
Great location with beautiful lobby. Room is not as nice as Marriott which is one block away.
I don't think any of the rooms have mini-refrigerator, not sure the logic of there.
The rooms are very spacious, but lack a refrigerator. The bathroom mirrors are perfect for putting on makeup, and the ballroom is huge.
Location: Fantastic, close to Jackson Square, right beside Bourbon Street.
Accommodations: Beautiful lobby, but once you're in the room, it's a different story. It smells and feels musty. There isn't a microwave or mini fridge in the room, that's always disappointing. The coffee service kits they provide are terrible and you can't buy half and half because you won't be able to keep it cold during your stay. I received significantly torn bath towels and hand towels, my bed quilt was visibly dirty (with actual dirt). I understand why they have plastic cups in the rooms since they're right in party central zone. The beds are awful, they are as hard as a rock, and I even prefer a firm bed.
I wouldn't choose to stay here again. Our group was placed here for a conference, the value was way overpriced, the only part of this hotel that is 4 star is the lobby and restaurant.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with two other people. The hotel lobby was nice. The rooms were Ok, but the problem was the cleanliness. There was a stain on my sheet, and the shower head was dirty. The bathroom lock was also broken. But they fixed all this the next day.
Hotel was good, we also had dinner at the attached restaurant the Bourbon House which was nice as well. Be aware that some rooms are facing and some are near enough to Bourbon Street that there will be nightly noise from revelers.
Kind of expensive for quality of rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Biggest problem was that the shower water was just a few degrees above too cold.
Very comfy beds good sized bathroom and good service
This place was nice. Very long way to check in and check out.
Was only there one night, right on the corner of bourbon street and canal, its a good place to stay if you are trying to go out at night.
Nice rooms and friendly staff. I would have given a 5 star but the vagrants outside ruined that possibility.
Great hotel in the Heart of New Orleans. Close to everything abd has all the amenities for a good value.
Good location, service and price. Shower was not hot!!
Great location close to everything, short walk to restaurants and entertainment. The room was spacious and clean.
Very accomodating and unbeatable location! Plan on always attending here!
50 a night parking. Didnt say anything about it during reservation.
Valet and staff was great ! For a small fee you can check in early. Clean rooms, reasonable price and close to everything.
Don t stay here!!! 2 star hotel quality. No parking as online suggests $20 self park NO! only option is $50 valet, 20 minute minimum wait to receive vehicle from valet. Only one towel in room, no microwave, fridge, or balcony s like pictures online. No water, coffee, or snacks in lobby. Pool and fitness centers all closed for emergency renovation . When telling front desk they should advertise this on their website, staff responded well do you wanna stay or not . When asked for owner information, staff said the hotel is privately owned, and he doesn t give out his name or information. Bums hang out in front of hotel 24/7 asking for money and cigarettes. The whole block in front and around the corner of the hotel smells like sewer. Rooms need remodeling. No security. Bell hop play around loudly. Valet extremely slow, and only one person working; my truck was left for 15 minutes before being park, while people from shuttle buses were getting off by it touching it, hitting it, etc. Its supposed to be a 4 star hotel but rooms are at best best western quality with less amenities, and customer service is horrible! And the stench is disgusting!!! I will never stay here again.
This hotel had mice run n around in my suite i was then moved to a little room which was ok but jus too small
Great! Roof top pool is beautiful! I loved laying out, I was able to forget all the hustle and bustle even though I was right on Burbon Street.
Had a wonderful stay at this hotel, although it would have been nice to have a fridge in our room.
Room 733. Everything was amazing. The hotel, the room, the service, great! Only complaints, no working ice machine on our floor, and no access to the balconies to Canal Street. Will stay again if in town. Corner of Bourbon Street and Canal Street.
Hotel needs some updating and cleaning needs a little work as well. Staff is friendly
Great price and location. Don't pay for parking at the hotel. There are parking garages 2 minutes away that cost half the price.
Room was okay, service was great, and location of the hotel is fantastic.
Location is great, in between the convention center and the French Quarter. The reason for 3 stars is because my room had one tiny window and the AC was extremely loud and rumbling when it kicks on.
Comfortable beds, good shower pressure, nice TV, plenty of outlets. Not a very nice view out the window, no fridge, sad that the pool closes at 9 even though theres never a lifeguard on duty.
Good location, clean rooms, parking charges too high.
Clean nice place friendly staff close to Bourbon Street rite outside the hotel door
110% Overrated hotel! After waiting an extra hour to check in. Room was cold, thermostat was all the way up and room continued to be freezing. Hallway was cold like a hospital. I was also overcharged for their valet parking, and when I inquired about the charges with their accounting department, not only did it take 3 days to get a return call, the unhelpful lady told me she would have to email the valet manager who has yet to call. Extremely disappointed in this claim to be 4.5 star hotel being so hard up over $52 as if though I don t know how long my car was in their garage and I m lying. Two thumbs down for their awful response time! I ve been to NOLA several times and this was by the far the most disappointing hotel yet!!!
Really nice, drinks was great, food on the other hand can greatly improve!
Good hotel, great location on the corner of canal and bourbon. Right in the French quarter and close to a main road to travel anywhere in NOLA
Everything was clean and fine overall. Beds weren't soft was the only negative.
Great Hotel, super location if you're planning on visiting Bourbon Street. The staff at the front desk could have been a little friendlier but they were probably stressed because of the Mardi Gras weekend. Aside from that I would definitely repeat.
My room was nice. BUT, on 4th July Weekend we checked in at 5 PM and the room was not ready. There were hundreds of guests with reservations waiting for a room . and That's when the checkout time is 11 Am and check-in time is 4 PM ( 5 hour difference !) .
I also saw few people putting something in pockets of front desk staffs and they were allotted rooms faster ! Cant believe if I saw Bribing ? Looked like a Welcome to LA warning !
Then when I checkout I find that my car ( valet parked) had lost its number plate ! They do an incident filing crap and I have no clue what to do with that incident report 2 days down the line .
One star for nice location, one star for nice room. Extremely unhelpful staff, lazy, sounded annoyed whenever answering the phone. My sister is a wheelchair user, it takes a little longer for us to leave our hotel room in the morning, we requested the trash taken out and clean sheets. It was never done, and they left our door open. We didn't see anything amiss, but we did alert the front desk. After we checked out we noticed my sisters makeup bag was missing, over 200 dollars of makeup inside. Several calls later to the hotel and nothing has been turned in. It's unacceptable. My sister also had technical difficulty with her wheelchair, only about 100ft from the hotel and the staff seemed so bothered to even help us in the slightest. When we initially called, they said they couldn't help us at all, then when I went to the desk in person, the young man they sent to help us was rude and annoyed the whole time. We had perfect strangers on the street helping us better. It was a very terrible experience and soured our entire time in new Orleans .
Exceptional service! Perfect location! Rooms are beautiful in this historic hotel.
Loved the hotel. Great location, very clean, beds are comfortable, desk clerks are attentive, courteous, and very helpful, valet parking was a breeze.
The Crown Plaza Astor sits at the heart of The famous French Quarter. It fronts Canal street and includes a private guests only second floor balcony over looking the even more famous Bourbon Street. We arrived early on the Sunday December 31st leading up to a busy New Years and Sugar Bowl which may be the only weekend crazier than Mardi Gras itself. Our room would not be ready until the stated 4pm but we checked our bags and the Bellmen were splendid. We were walking distance to all the French Quarter had to offer and even walked back from Saints game at Superdome which was less than a mile and was quicker than an uber due to traffic. The front desk staff was courteous albeit busy. The room was clean. Don't expect a super high end room as you are paying for location. Please hit the like button and enjoy your stay in NOLA. Who Dat
Excellent location, great price!! Large balcony on the second floor for all guests to enjoy. Staff was incredibly friendly! This is within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and attractions. Street car right out front if you want to go farther. Great Uber drivers always around too!
Was my time visiting Louisiana and I had a blast I would return again
Excellent hotel. Not to far from the Super Dome or Bourbon St.
Large room with views of Canal street. No mini fridge which at times was an issue to keep drinks cold and no room service
Very expensive. Fried shrimp was bland and dry. How do yoy screw up fried shrimp in new orleans? We were also ignored most of the time because we were a party of 2 instead of 6,8 or 10 like the other tables. Bourbon was delicious, though, and their bbq shrimp was goid (not great). Very disappointed.
Really bad experience. We booked our room June 2 and when we checked in last Thursday, they put us in two wrong rooms before getting us the right one. Then they left it up to us to get our luggage from one room to another. Also, when we checked out Saturday and valet brought our car, it was on EMPTY. When we parked it, we had almost a half tank of gas. The hotel said they couldn't do anything because the valet company is contracted out. REALLY????? Bad experience from start to finish.
My friends and I decided to stay a night here after a Saints game. On the expedia app it was $111 after taxes and fees. I called the front desk and they told me i would save three dollars if I went through them, so I did. once i got there my total was $148 not including the extra $10 just to park at the hotel. Hotel didnt have complimentary breakfast, no mini fridge, no microwave, the elevators stopped working towards the night and we had one friend in a wheelchair. They had food served downstairs that was thought we could have one of my friends went down and fixed a plate when a business man asked if he was with a company and he said "no" and the man took the plate from his hands and said "well you cant eat". The front desk man gave me a $20 refund, but i still dont appreciate a hotel for $150 a night not to have anything, but a mattress for you. Not impressed
Great place! had a fantastic room over looking the pool; great location, the concierge was fantastic, room was clean & comfy! will definatley stay here again
The wedding we went to was on the second floor of the hotel. The room was large enough for the reception and very nice. There was a large balcony we could go out onto that overlooked Canal Street that had a nice view. The bathrooms were close by but several of the stalls were out of order or had doors that didn't lock. Two of three soap dispensers were out of soap also. Their was a negotiated rate with the hotel garage but the rate at which they could get the cars into the garage was quite slow. This even caused a 3-4 + block traffic jam up Iberville. The bride and groom picked the hotel location and time themselves, but I didn't feel 100% comfortable taking my 5 year old flower girl on Bourbon Street at 9 pm on a Saturday.
Had issues with our keys and service was par. Room had a funky smell when we first got in.
