This establishment was perfectly placed between fun and fabulous. Most importantly the room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable, prompt room service and the restaurant was fantastic! Thanks to Groupon, I paid less less then a $100 for this wonderful experience! I will be back!

Main hotel has decent rooms restaurant has a good bar. Here during a pandemic and this whole town is surreal and empty. The damn democratic leadership of this fine city has ruined it and I hope not for food. Will not come back her till things return to normal if and when they ever do

Perfect location, they are even kind enough to provide ear plugs for the street sounds. Ended up needing them for the rooms, I could hear every conversation from the room nextdoor.

The lobby is clean and all the employees were welcoming and helpful.

Our stay was actually kinda of terrible. We tried checking in earlier than intended which is understood to not be guaranteed, but then our room wasn t ready at 4pm - regular check in. We waited for our room from 1230pm to 5pm. No remorse or accommodation from staff.

Most staff is rude and don t care. They ignore you at the desk and shrug at every inconvenience. Pool and gym is closed due to repairs. Still paid same price and no one informed us of repairs until we were looking around dumb in our suits and asked about it specifically. Then the concierge said go to Ace Hotel for a pool. Oh but it s $20 per person and not accommodated either. Ridiculous.

The rooms were not good either. The beds were hard as a rock. No refrigerator. My sister got sick from whatever is in the air. No cold water. Vending machines don t work.

I think the only positive I have of this place is the location. Right on Bourbon and Canal which was convenient.

Either way - stay away if you don t want to overpay for rudeness and non-accommodation on vacation.

The Crown Plaza is centrally located on Canal and Bourbon Streets. We stayed in King room which had a new mattress which was quite firm and very comfortable. The pool is small and gets sun around 1:00 PM so be were the water was cold. Overall a good value for the price.

Room 701. Overbooked for what we reserved but was able to give us a handicap accessible room instead. We were told it had a view of Canal St......not true we face Canal but all we saw was another roof top. Room service took over an hour to bring us water and soda. The rooms only came with one towel. Not a horrible experience but for what we paid I expected alot better service. Will look for another place to stay next time.

Waited 3 days to have our room cleaned also had to go find someone for toilet paper. This is the noised hotel I have every been in. After midnight you might get some sleep. Out front of the hotel you feel threatened with so many beggars. The rooms are nice Though .
As we pulled up to the hotel it looks very nice but when you get out here come the homeless people asking for money. I did have the car Valet parked because parking is a nightmare. Well I ask for the car 3 days later and low and behold a parking ticket on the window this is nice it s a new gifted from the hotel. Nope I went to the head of the hotel and said is this how you operate he said not at all.
He said I will get this taken care of. Let s see what happens in 3 days when I call on the Ricky to see if it s been paid. If you don t want to sleep or don t care about people begging outside your place then this is we re you want to stay

We recently stayed at this Hotel for a weekend getaway last week Aug 2017. Unfortunately, we ended up staying longer due to the flight cancellations to Houston. The staff was very considerate to us and honored our original price. Due to capacity, the rooms were limited. Their gesture was more than appreciated when they allowed us a suite for same price of a regular room. God Bless them.

The room was spacious, clean, and all plumbing areas were operable. The cleaning staff was magnificent !! The restaurant was excellent, great food and coffee. My place of choice upon visiting NOLA again.

Room was ok. Tub was dirty. $50 to park is a rip off. Bellhop didn't offer to get our bags as he just stood there looking at his phone. Didn't inform me over the phone that the pool and gym were out of service.

Rooms have a covered with pine moldy smell. Not very big. No garbage pails in the room only the bathrooms. Worse of all the hotel is in the heart of the disadvantaged. Homelessness. Hustlers. Just undesirables! It's depressing and scary. Good for just a stopover.

This is right on the corner of bourbon and I wish I had done my research - way too crowded. Pros - staff was super friendly, the room was clean, walking distance to just about everything. Cons - crowded/busy lobby, beds were hard, ceilings are low so shower head is low, only valet parking. I wouldn't recommend coming with kids because it's so busy and close to bourbon. We planned a last minute trip and every other hotel was booked. The smell of alcohol and cigarettes were everywhere and there was at least one drunk in the lobby. In all fairness, we did come during a holiday weekend. I'd stay here again without kids.

Decent hotel particularly for the money. Clean and nice sized rooms. Plus, many rooms with 2 queen beds, making it more comfortable for families of 4. However, lines in front to check in were constantly long. Also, I would feel vibrations in my room when others would
close doors of nearby rooms, making it hard to sleep.

Watch the room service charges, as I was overcharged by about 30% ($15) for food. I took the issue to the front desk and it was never corrected properly. Valet Parking took over an hour to retrieve my vehicle even though I called it in to the front desk prior. The location is great. The suite had a lot of room.

Excellent location. Everything is at walking distance and the tram is front of the hotel in canal st. The valet is expensive (30 dlls), but it's the same in every parking lot in french quarter. It's a good family hotel.

Disgusting attitude of the front reception staff. I have never received worse customer service in my entire life. Will NEVER stay here again purely because of the service we received. They should not have customer service jobs end of story.

We did not have enough towels based on number of guests. There was no shower curtain. The tub was dirty and looked like it was in world war two. I asked for two keys I received one and I kept hurting myself on the board like beds. I would rate this hotel aa a 2. The restaurant had a nice menu but the prices we hight $30-$40 per meal.

I liked the lobby and the service checking in was prompt which is nice when traveling for 9 hours. The location was great with both corners on Bourbon and Canal streets. It is a shame that it smells so terrible. High Drug use on the streets. Not a great place for kids.

Nice 4 star hotel right on the edge of the action on Bourbon Street. So you don't have the ruckus but you're steps away from the action. I'd definitely stay there again. If you fly in DO NOT buy the shuttle bus to the local hotels! It took FOREVER to even get close to my hotel...people where bailing left & right every time the bus stopped even if they were 3-4 blocks away! I had to bail 3 blocks away too!

Incredibly unprofessional, selfish and moronic sta...

Incredibly unprofessional, selfish and moronic staff.

During my stay over Voodoo fest weekend, all was going great until my girlfriend and I were robbed of over $5,000 worth of personal belongings. We left for the day, locked the door behind us and came back after housekeeping cleaned up. And man did she clean up. I was impressed. She found our watches hidden under luggage, an Ipad Pro, company computer and other miscellaneous belongings. Our hotel room alone probably made this maid's whole weekend (you're welcome).

Yes, while we shouldn't have trusted hotel staff, we did and we got burned for letting our guard down. I would have been okay with the situation if hotel management, security and staff did LITERALLY ANYTHING to help resolve the cluster that was unfolding out from under their supervision (mind you, we were not the only ones who got robbed by their staff over the weekend).

It was unbelievable the lack of competence and basic customer service that management chose to treat our situation with. I would have had better luck taking the case next door to Popeye's and having them help resolve the case. The night time security manager (Leo) came up to our room in a huff and "swore" it was not them and that their staff would never carry out such acts before he began raising his voice with us. He also threatened to fire one of his own employees (Anthony in Security) because Anthony helped us and was not supposed to be talking to us for as long as he did. Insane.

Front desk and onsite management (I'm looking at you Kinesha Stewart and Trisha Lightell) offered nothing but empty promises, that they would do everything in their power to help us and after over a month since the incident, multiple emails and voicemails directly to her, still no response. I can't even tell you what the director of the hotel has done for us (Ivy Lim) because SHE HASN'T EVEN RESPONDED TO A SINGLE EMAIL OR ANSWERED A SINGLE PHONE CALL. It's maddening working through this when nobody is trying to right the situation. How is someone who I'm not even sure exists, left to manage an entire hotel especially when they have the professionalism and customer service skills of a 9 year old.

At this point, legal action is being sought out and we're having to work between the hotel, the hotel's parent company, claims, and the housekeeping company. My girlfriend has resorted to working directly with the lawyer of the 3rd party housekeeping service, because the insurance claims is useless and the hotel doesn't respond.

OH YEAH. They refunded a random credit card, which is expired, of $189 that was owed to us for checking out early (because we couldn't stand to be in the hotel for a single day longer) and now, accounting won't answer phones or emails in regards to how we can at least be refunded for the night we didn't even end up staying. An absolute nightmare is a total understatement when looking back at my experience with Astor Crowne Plaza.

Beautiful hotel, and very clean! We had a small room but even so it was awesome and I'm sure a bigger one would've been real elegant. The pool was not open but will be soon so I hope to see it when I come back. Thank You!

This hotel was very nice. The staff was on point. They were able to answer all my questions and met my needs. The room was very modern, clean, and in good working order. The bed was very comfortable and I looked forward to naps and bedtime. The breakfast was very good, I'm glad I added it to my room. I hate the parking situation, but that is due to the area. The valet guys worked hard to take care of us, and our car looked the same as we handed it to them. I would stay here again.

At check in at about noon a woman named Keyonna gave my partner and I no pre check in. I returned after a half hour and another front deck man gives me the pregnancy check in option so then they ll call you. Finally another half hour later Keyonna helps me again after I lie to her and say I got the phone call and then she proceeds to give me room. She is horrible at customer service and needs retained.

My room was spacious and nicely designed. There is a swimming pool (often overcrowded, but still). There is a gym which is enormous compared to most of the other hotels in the US I ve been to.

Disadvantages were expensive breakfast and the location - which is an advantage at the same time. You are right in the center of French Quartier, so it can get loud.

Overall, price-quality relation definitely great!

Spacious room, big bathrooms, in room safe, great view to major street and nice restaurant downstairs for dining. Quiet hotel even though on a very busy street. Parking took a long time and waiting for valet to return my car was ridiculous. The concierge desk was slow to send anyone up with a cart however they didn't want me to get the cart on my own and bring it up to my room. So there goes the five star service! Otherwise everything else was okay.

I booked thru a 3rd party online but called to confirm everything, Lucian was amazing on the phone! He was very patient, answered all of my questions & was so helpful and even submitted my preferences. Good service is so rare these days. The hotel is beautiful inside, very welcoming upon entering, perfect convenient location and I love the extra security on elevators. Beds were comfy, huge TVs, great views. I had 1 small inconvenient issue while there and called & spoke w/a manager, Trisha L. She listened patiently & handled the issue to my satisfaction. Great service overall, can t wait to stay here again! Highly recommend!

Nice location and the hotel is clean. However our room had cigarette butts and pretzels on the floor when we checked in. Front desk staff is about 50/50 on friendliness. We booked the hotel Friday through Monday morning with the understanding that we would be checking in Saturday morning. I called ahead and emailed the property to let them know. We got to the hotel Saturday morning and we were told that we were a 'no show' and our room was re-rented, we would have to wait for a new room to be cleaned. After waiting hours, we went back to the same front desk clerk who was unfriendly and just would say our room is still dirty. We sat in the lobby another hour, then we talked to a different front desk clerk, Sydney. She refunded us for Friday night, since our room was re-rented. She also called housekeeping and we were in a room within 30 minutes. The rooms are nice, lots of space but the mattresses are hard as a rock. Two people in our party slept on the floor because the beds were so hard. If they got better mattresses, we would stay here again.

Nice room but for $120 something a night you get nothing but a bed to sleep in, no wifi, no mini fridge, but they don't want coolers in they room, so getting some cold water was too much work, they have nothing in the room but one bottle of water for $7, only sport channels on the TV, nope never again

Terrible customer service reps. They hung up on me 4 times, resulting in my phone calls taking over an hour long. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied. Absolutely terrible. Never got to speak to anyone and never got our reservations confirmed or refunded. I will never be booking with them again and beware if you do!

We enjoyed this hotel. Close to Brennan's Bourbon restaurant which is good. Close to the happenings on Bourbon street. Good front desk staff. Good clean room.
Bad, the noise from bourbon and canal streets. We were on the 4th floor overlooking canal. Couldn't believe how noisey it was. We're talking until 3 am at least.
We walked to the French quarter in 20 minutes from here, nice easy walk.

If you want to be near the French Quarter this hotel has a great location. It is right off Canal st. so if you like a bit of peace, this is not the place for you. There are always swarms of people walking in front of the hotel doors. Inside, the decor is nice and the service is warm and accomodating.

My big complaint about this hotel is the beds. i love a good hotel sleep but that was hard to come by here. The beds were quite uncomfortable (I could feel the mattress springs) and instead of a nice fluffy comforter that one would expect from a hotel of this caliber there isn't much better than a white hospital blanket to keep you warm and cozy.

Not a bad hotel but probably won't be my first choice for next time.

The location of the hotel is on canal and bourbon, which makes it a decent option if you're looking to party. However, our room was not able to have wifi access due to the location of it, the sheets were dirty and looked to have dried blood on them, and the parking is atrocious. $42 a night and getting out Sunday was a nightmare. It's extremely disorganized and their call/text service did not work as advertised. We had to wait 45 min for our car on Sunday, and you're supposed to just stand there and wait. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

Extra nice and respectful employees who go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable a possible. Also connected to one of new Orleans great restaurants for some good eating. You can also get third party attractions set up here at help desk like swamp tours and the help desk is always happy to help point you in the right direction when leaving grounds to go explore. Conviently located on the corner of canal and bourbon so it's the perfect location to enjoy the french quater, River Walk, and CBD with ease. Also not bad of a commute to go uptown or midcity. They have large well maintained and we'll catered Ball rooms to host events or enjoy an event that is there. I personally have not stayed at the location but have worked doing carpenter work on the 2nd floor outside decking for about a month now. Being here day after day working I have experienced all of these things second hand. I have also done some work inside the hotel on one of the floors and it's absolutely beautiful as much as I have seen.

I was in New Orleans for mardi gras and I was pretty disappointed with a few things in the hotel. The policy of not letting guests in the hotel bring anyone up to their room was a baffling decision. I get not wanting to let random people off the street or large parties in the hotel. But I should be able to bring 1 guest in with me. The valet was also pretty slow which is unacceptable for the price you have to pay. The location was great for parades and Bourbon street. There is some noise but you shouldn't be at mardi gras if you can't handle noise. The rooms were nice and spacious, but the fitted sheets kept coming undone. I think they were too small for the beds. House keeping was quick and professional.

I love to stay at this hotel in New Orleans. It is located on Canal & Bourbon and serves an awesome breakfast. The only reason for minus 1 star is because no matter what time of day or night there is always a lengthy wait to check-in or out and I have never waited less than 45 for my vehicle from valet.

Pretty nice place with a convenient location. However it's right on a very busy street and makes for a zoo with the traffic. No pull out so you basically stop on the road and valet. The pick up of your car from vallet is slow and very chaotic.

There are some maintenance issues to take care of. Based on a conversation I had, it isn't that the maintenance people don't care... it's that management doesn't want to authorize the money necessary to upgrade things. But the staff are super friendly and how much time do you really spend in your room when you're in the middle of all the hustle and bustle? Recommmend for those who won't spend a lot of time in the hotel room except to sleep.

This is a place for party people because
it's literally next to Bourbon Street. But it's still quiet, even though everyday when you walk out, you will see drunks hanging out and getting in fights in front of the hotel. Mcdonalds, Starbucks, and Walgreens are all within one block, which is fantastic. The rooms are clean and luxurious enough, but only about 50% of the staff are friendly.
