Ordered a sectional on memorial day (yes memorial day) and finally got my complete couch roughly three weeks ago. The sales agent that sold us the couch left the company and eventually someone took over and contacted me regarding the fabric of the couch and how it had been discontinued. Late notice upon contacting me and a long delay to say the least so we re-ordered. Then it was ordered wrong and the chaise was not delivered which led to an even longer wait for myself and fiance. With the entire wait, headache, and inconvenience, all we were offered was free delivery which I think is pretty sad. Highly doubt we will go back and I wouldn't recommend. Unless you're taking it same day i'd avoid.

We bought several rooms of furniture for our first home. We spent hours (2 days) picking out the perfect pieces. We were told that the majority of the items would be delivered per our request but three tables had to be ordered and would be in by June 12th. We received the furniture and love it with the exception of a damaged mirror which they told us they would re-order. The reclining sofas already squeak after just a month but we bought the warranty so we aren't worried. However, after waiting patiently for the three tables and the replacement mirror my husband called to find out when to expect delivery. He was told the beginning of July. Not happy but what can we do. Today, June 28th, I called to get an exact deliver date scheduled. I was told by our sales person, Fred Henry, that they are on backorder and we can expect them in mid-July. When I stated those are not the terms in which we made our purchase he said we can pick something else out. When I told him that was ridiculous because something else would not match the table we got he told me we didn't have a table yet. Then basically said we just had to deal with it "these things happen", regardless of the fact that we have guests coming to see the house. When I asked to speak to a manager he transferred me to Delivery. Anna was very helpful and informed me that it was known that the tables were on back order when the purchase was made and that Fred had always known they wouldn't come in until mid-July. She also informed me that we would not be getting a mirror because it was discontinued and the only options were to accept the damaged mirrors we had already rejected. She also informed me that Fred should have called to tell us and should have told both my husband and myself when we spoke to him. Now our only option is to search the store for a different one. Unacceptable.

I am disgusted with this dishonesty and lack of information from Colders. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a furniture purchase and we spent a significant amount of money based on the conversations we heard from the other shoppers. We were planning to furnish another section of our house but not with Colders since they won't even try to offer some consolation for this two month delay. Don't buy from Colders. Read the reviews.

After looking at every furniture store in town, we finally found exactly what we wanted AND the best deal at Colders. Tbh we didn t even plan on going to Colder s because I was leery of the double back deal they run but decided to run in & check it out last minute before plunking down a big chunk of $ at another store. Thank goodness we did! We found furniture we liked better AND it turned out to be the BEST price BY FAR (saved us $3,000!) on all the furniture we purchased w/o sacrificing the quality which was a big concern. We also HIGHLY recommend sales rep Sean (aka Scooter) Kennedy at the West Allis location. He s a real nice guy but most importantly NOT high pressure & worked to get us the best deal possible while giving us plenty of space to look around and discuss things w/o breathing down our neck. Sean was greatly appreciated after dealing with so many reps that drove us absolutely crazy the second we stepped in their door shadowing our every move. So if you shop at the Colders s West Allis location, definitely look for or ask for Sean!

Placed a custom furniture order on 4/22/18. The order was completed and delivered on 11/5/18. That is after various calls and trips to the store, because no one noticed only 1 of 2 ordered couches was made and delivered, once it came in, arm was cut, back was separated from it, and a leg was missing before they even loaded it for delivery, no one knew when my parts came in for repair until I called and had them look...sigh. I gave the delivery/customer care department the star. They deserve 5 stars with their attempts to resolve all hurdles, but I had no way to reflect that other than to type it. Tim Cronin, sales associate....haven't heard from him since 4/22/18. Store manager, John, cleared up all of my confusion tho. Sure did. He told me that it is not policy for him to follow an order to completion even tho there is a noted issue with the order, or to offer money back unless I asked. I noted that I had paid in full on 4/22/18 and before I could finish my sentence, he told me "That's what people do when they purchase things. They pay for then." Don't believe me? Ask the 2 staff members he said it in front of on 9/5/18. No words. Actually I have a few more...what kind of customer service do you think people deserve for purchases in the thousands of dollars? Don't answer because you already showed me.

update 4/1/19:

Just prior to posting a review to this website, I had also sent an email complaint to corporate. The President emailed me back right away that Monday morning, 11/19/18. He then had someone follow up with me directly by phone on 11/19/18. Her name was Sue. She updated me as to what all occurred after my email was received, and noted that the contents were quite disturbing and embarrassing. Most of my questions and concerns were addressed at that time. I would like to note that even the witnesses to the in-store situations were consulted and my accounts of those dates were substantiated. Unfortunately no one can figure out why John reacted to me in the manner in which he did, as I was assured he had never acted like this before. Not even a guess as to why I was treated this was since when asked he even replied that he didn't know.

I was offered a $300 and mailed a $500 gift certificate. I merely accepted what was offered to me as I didn't believe that I needed to tell anyone a total of $600 in refunds and the opportunity to get more items from them with the $500 gift certificate came nowhere close to balancing out the headache for this +$5000 purchase. As a matter of fact, I told her not to even waste the postage sending it.

I was asked to update my review since I was contacted and a resolution was attempted. I resigned to wait to update my review...the same 4 months that I had to wait for my resolution. All in all, I and my guests LOVE my furniture.

My experience with colders had been horrible we went to the Delafield location and ordered a love seat that reclined automatically we had to change to a model that didn't have a council had to wait a month for delivery within one month the motor was out on the headrest this is a 4000 dollar pc of future we got it on sale, called service dept waited three weeks the tech was nice after awhile he said we needed a new motor(really what kind of merchandise are you selling)it has now been over a month I called service dept they said they would check and get back to me 2 hours later I called back they said it would come in this week but didn't bother to call me back with that info I am a person who has to take off work for this is need to know ASAP although I'm sure it will be yet another month for it to be installed colders ypu are rating 0 in my book I for sure will not be a reputed customer we still have furniture to buy but I will be going elsewhere Carmella Aliota and Doug Snodgress

A lot of choices. The clearance items are mixed in with the regular priced items. Like all furniture stores the prices seem high but if you have the funds the quality is good. They do have a lot of sales.

I got our mini fridge for our office here. It works great. The best worker I dealt with from Colders was on the dock when I came to pick the fridge up. Agustin I believe his name was. I ordered the wrong sectional. They allowed me to keep the incorrect for the holidays. When the one I needed came it, it was not a good match for my home . I contacted my sales rep Emmanuel and explained my delima and he spoke with the General Manager . He got back to me the next day and let me make another selection. I am truly grateful for the awesome customer service.

I walked in right before closing just intending to look quick for the dining set I wanted. Did not see it and was on my way out when a very nice salesman Michael took the time to show me a set in another location of the store. It was exactly what I was looking for. I paid for it, and picked it up all done in less than 15 minutes. Thank you Michael for taking the time. It is perfect at home.

There was a lot of furniture to choose from, but nobody from the staff was offering to help with anything. We actually walked around all the bedroom furniture three times, and not one employee asked us any questions. Only until we were leaving and made it to the front desk area did someone ask. Limited customer service. We went to Penny Mustard immediately after.

This was a very pleasant experience! Due to covid pandemic, freezers are hard to come buy! I had just purchased one for guaranteed delivery from. Home depot, for them to delay it by 3 days, sit on the phone for 2 hours and then have them tell me, you will not get a freezer! I called colders, they had it put aside, drove In, they loaded it and on our way we went!!! We are thrilled by the ease and excitement service!!

Best sales experience I've ever had. Emmanuel was an amazing and knowledgeable sales rep. He provided no pressure and actually found me a better deal than I was previously looking for. I was planning on only buying either a washer or a dryer, but left with a matching pair. Give that man a raise!! I would definitely go there again for any future purchases.

Our salesman was named Joe D. And he was tremendous very personable and helpful. We came in for an over the stove LG microwave and we noticed an open box exactly what we came in for except it was dark stainless and after discussing the $150 savings.we chose that one. Joe helped us carry it to the wall socket so we could try it out. And then when we purchased it he helped my husband carry it to the car, so we didn t have to wait for a warehouse man. That s what I call full service. If and when I come back Joe has a lifetime customer.

Not one person said hi to us or asked if they could help us, they just walked by. Very disappointed by their customer service! If I could give less than 1 star I would!! Poor customer service!!! I came in to purchase a stove, refrigerator, washer, and dryer. I had my eye on one particular set the stainless steel fridgerdale set. Dale assisted me & gave me three different prices. A price for the stove & fridge of $680.00 & the washer & dryer $812.00 if it is electric & $891.00 if it's gas. I told Dale I'll come back the next business day after work to make my purchase. I come back like I said & Dale rings me up at a price total of $2100. I ask him how is it that price when you gave me a total of $680 & $812? He said oh they must didn't add the discount. So he double checked & said he made an error. So I said can I get it for the price that you gave me? He said I can't. I asked for a manager. Roy, the manager meets with me at the front. I let him know what was going on. I asked him would he like me to show him which set I was referring to? He said yes. I took him to the sets & he replied well I don't have anything to go off of because there is no numbers on here to know which appliances. I showed him the card Dale wrote the prices on & he asked to see it. He wrote all these numbers on it. I believe he did it to cover up Dale's mistake. I said I just showed you. He said we can't mark these down. I said well your employee gave me this price & I waisted my time coming in here to purchase at this price, Dale gave me this price so shouldn't you honor it? Dale says with a smirk on his face there is no numbers & we could of looked at a number of them. I said no we only looked at those. I knew what I wanted because I had my eye on this set. I said well pull your tapes to see the one I went to yesterday. Roy refused to do so. I am very dissatisfied with the services provided today. Anytime a customer is told a price then it should be honored. I'm by far not pleases & they just lost a customer.

Paid a lot of money for a sofa, picked out a custom material, felt very comfortable in the store, looked great. The sofa that was delivered looks good but after setting on it for a short while it looses its shape and isn't comfortable at all. All I can say is that they sell cheap furniture that once you get it home turns into crap!

I wanted to order a sofa that was special order that I found online. I originally assumed that because it was a special order item, I needed to make a trip to the store to complete the purchase. Of course, with Covid, I did not want to be in a public space unless it was absolutely necessary. I sent an inquiry to Colders via their text application and connected with a very friendly and knowledgeable rep that was able to get the entire purchase completed for me through text!! How awesome is that!! I had quite a few follow up questions that I sent through text and I never received that your annoying response back. The rep was very friendly and helpful through it all!

I did the $2 back on every $1 spent on Serta sale!!! Great deal!! Michael gave me plenty of space to look around but was always around when I had a question or concern. Thank you Michael!

Had been eyeing a bedroom set i seen online. It was a special order item that can take 8 weeks or more and I preferred not to wait for that length of time. Went into the store to take advantage of the great sale that was happening and to see if i could find something similar to what i loved. Walked in the store and was never greeted by a team member. I ended up approaching one and he was somewhat helpful in showing me some pieces. I was ready to order and he called another sales person to process my transaction. I waited about 15 min, and no one ever came over to help me order. I went back to the original sales person and he told me that Tim was busy and would be with me shortly. After about another 15 min, no one still came to assist me or give me any type of update or any other acknowledgement. There were only about 3 other customers in the store and a numerous amount of sales persons. The rep at the front could not answer a question about delivery without calling around for a sales manager. All in all, the customer service here was poor this day. I ended up walking out of the door not placing the order that i originally went in to place. Went home and had to order it online. Very frustrating. This has me nervous and not confident when it comes time for me to receive my furniture. I'm hoping a member of management sees this

We needed a standard (not Queen) sized sleeper sofa and we needed it within a week. Also of course we wanted it to be in a certain color range and we needed it delivered. We went to Colders on Hwy 100 as we have typically found they have the most choices in stock and at affordable prices. In minutes a salesperson found us one, in stock, in the color we wanted and promised delivery by Friday of that week. It all happened in one stop for us at Colders.

3 months later we are still having issues with a s...

3 months later we are still having issues with a section we purchased. I pulled the couch out to vacuum and noticed that 2 cushions were discolored and a different material. I called to store and spoke to Monica who told me to bring in the incorrect cushions and a correct one. She also told me it was my responsibility to inspect the couch. Two delivery people were here, assembled, it and photographed it. I immediately asked to speak to the store manager. He told me he would have a tech call and implyed that would happen immediately. I was not home so I requested my husband receive the call. They did call, my husband did not answer but called back and told me that the earliest they could come out was Tuesday afternoon. Both of us are swamped and due to the multiple issues we had in September, I feel they should work around us.(see review from September) I called John and he accused my husband of not answering the phone. I told John that my husband immediately called back and the earliest they could come was Tuesday. I told John that this is unacceptable and that John implied that a tech would come out on
Sunday. I also told him that I was willing to bring the cushions in and he told me that I could not do that. I told him I wanted a tech to call me immediately and I also demanded that they will be working around our schedule. I believe In an effort to get me off the phone, John claimed someone would be calling me before the store closed. That call never came. I did ask for contact for the higher ups and I was told that they do not take phone calls. I referred back to my past reviews and saw I dealt with a Susan L. Come to find out she is the Human Resources director perhaps her time would be better used educating the staff on customer service skills and product knowledge I was led to believe that she was a store manager . John also indicated that yesterday was the first he was hearing about our issues in September. Again I referred back to my past reviews and sure enough he was involved. John also accused my of calling him names..I NEVER once called him a name although I would have been well in my right. So bottom line, here I sit 3 months later with an incorrect product and no resolution. Do yourself a favor, spend a little extra and go to Steinhafels where customers are treated in an appropriate manner. Irregardless of when I found the issue, there is still and issue. My guess is one of us will inevitably have to take off work, they will have to special order the cushions wait another 6 weeks and hope it s correct. Absolutely unacceptable!

I was very satisfied with the knowledge that Patricia had in anything that she wasn't aware of she went to go find the correct answer for me instead of giving me false information. Gave me the best deal for my money and was working with my budget as well then try to pressure me to bind anything more than what I needed which I greatly appreciate it. And my delivery guys were fantastic I didn't need to tell them what they need to do or how they need to do it they even would be on as to help me rearrange my living room for my furniture will fit perfectly how I wanted and needed it I was very pleased with them. I will recommend Colder's to anyone

I have to leave a review because I am beyond impressed. I bought 2 couches from Colders and the price was definitely great, but then when I found the same couch a little cheaper at one of those local stores (not a big chain store), I came back 2 days later and Colin at Colders remembered me and helped me price match my purchase with no questions. He was very nice n very helpful throughout the whole process of picking out my couches, he didnt pressure me or make me feel obligated to buy. Very very nice! Great job Colin! I will definitely be back!!

Very easy experience! Salesperson was helpful but also not pushy. Let us take our time and didn t hover as we we re looking through furniture and options. He was right there once we needed assistance or had questions. Would definitely recommend!

If i had to rate my overall experience i would give it a 3.9 out of 5. The sales person was helpful and courteous. I purchased and floor model by choice. I was told my king size bed would be wrapped on saturday and was called on sunday by your shipping staff to see if i planned to pick up on sunday. I showed up on sunday after the call, a rainy day mind you, and my purchase was not wrapped as promised. I could have complained and waited but that would have been a waist of my time. The amount i paid could have been spent somewhere else. I think my purchase deserved at least some bubble wrap or shrink wrap to protect it as my souse and i moved it. I got the call which made me think my purchase was ready for pick-up.

Went to Colders to check out a dresser that I had seen on clearance on their web site. I wanted to make sure the color was right and the quality was decent. I have been a customer of Colders for 25 years and have always been satisfied with my purchases and the service I received, so I was somewhat dismayed by the negative reviews that I saw online and it was only because of that dresser that I took a chance and went there anyway, even though my last purchase was nearly 10 years ago. Well, I was greeted by Tricia, who immediately took me to the dresser I described. I was disappointed by the color and the quality. However, after walking around for a few minutes, I spotted another dresser on clearance at the right price, but, I would have to purchase the matching bedframe. Frankly, the dresser was in dark cherry and my current headboard was a dark oak and I did not really love it anyway, so I made the purchase. Because I was purchasing the floor model, which was in excellent condition, I was able to have it delivered in 3 days. Colders let me know yesterday that it would be delivered today and gave me a 3 hour time frame. The furniture was delivered on time by two very professional and pleasant men, Andre and Taylor. The furniture was handled with care; Andre made sure the bed and dresser were exactly where I wanted it and Taylor even stapled the bottom netting of my box spring back to the frame, as it had been ripped by professional movers last month. I am very happy with my new furniture and very satisfied with the service I received from Colders. I will not hesitate to return again and I will definitely recommend Colders to everyone.

She walked me around showing me what she thought would fit what I was looking for, and then allowed me to explore on my own as I figured out which chair was the best for me. Pick up was extremely easy, and I was very happy with their prices!

Tim was great. Knew exactly what we were looking for. Returned calls as promised. Even stayed a little late to accommodate the time we could make it in. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Made our shopping experience awesome. We are pleased with our 3 purchases and the time frame of expected delivery.

Awful experience.

Awful experience.

We bought a sectional which looked terrible after about 6 months. They let us return it for credit but made us pay for the delivery of the new furniture. We were also told that several people had returned this sectional with the same experience. If this was not our fault why were we paying for delivery?

We also bought a king Serta with a new frame. It started squeaking within the first two years. We were told that the frame we bought did not have enough support for the mattress and then given instructions on what we need to purchase at the hardware store to fix it ourselves at our own cost.

Our second round of furniture included a Lazy Boy rocker and a pull out couch.

The Lazy Boy was stitched wrong so they needed to order a new seat. Months later we called wondering when it would arrive to be told that it had been sitting in the warehouse, long after it should have arrived and been fixed.

The pull out started squeaking within the first 4 months. We were told that we need to open it and pull it out to reset the mechanisms, which made sense. We were concerned because it started squeaking so soon and were told that the mechanism had a lifetime warranty (which was great) but if this "trick" didn't continue to work beyond a year we would have to pay for labor.

Colder's seems to get the furniture out their door but after that they seem very uninterested in keeping their customers happy. In the future I would rather pay more and know that if I run into problems that they will be resolved. I have never dealt with a business who cares so little about quality customer care. We will be building a home in the near future and Colder's just missed out on a lot of potential business.

Last year we had a problem with a fridge damaged when delivered. We had to order a new one and reject the original just to get the parts to fix it. This year we had pillows missing from our order. 3 months later and I am still trying to get the pillows.
