We bought several rooms of furniture for our first home. We spent hours (2 days) picking out the perfect pieces. We were told that the majority of the items would be delivered per our request but three tables had to be ordered and would be in by June 12th. We received the furniture and love it with the exception of a damaged mirror which they told us they would re-order. The reclining sofas already squeak after just a month but we bought the warranty so we aren't worried. However, after waiting patiently for the three tables and the replacement mirror my husband called to find out when to expect delivery. He was told the beginning of July. Not happy but what can we do. Today, June 28th, I called to get an exact deliver date scheduled. I was told by our sales person, Fred Henry, that they are on backorder and we can expect them in mid-July. When I stated those are not the terms in which we made our purchase he said we can pick something else out. When I told him that was ridiculous because something else would not match the table we got he told me we didn't have a table yet. Then basically said we just had to deal with it "these things happen", regardless of the fact that we have guests coming to see the house. When I asked to speak to a manager he transferred me to Delivery. Anna was very helpful and informed me that it was known that the tables were on back order when the purchase was made and that Fred had always known they wouldn't come in until mid-July. She also informed me that we would not be getting a mirror because it was discontinued and the only options were to accept the damaged mirrors we had already rejected. She also informed me that Fred should have called to tell us and should have told both my husband and myself when we spoke to him. Now our only option is to search the store for a different one. Unacceptable.

I am disgusted with this dishonesty and lack of information from Colders. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a furniture purchase and we spent a significant amount of money based on the conversations we heard from the other shoppers. We were planning to furnish another section of our house but not with Colders since they won't even try to offer some consolation for this two month delay. Don't buy from Colders. Read the reviews.
