It s absolutely Furniture Shopping Made Easy . Michael C. has exceptional customer service skills. He listens when you tell him what your looking for- He allows himself to be part of the vision your creating. He has consistently helped me find furniture that is up to date- yet sturdy enough to handle 4 and 6 year olds. My wife and I went there today because they have a decent sale going on. 50% off on blue tag items plus an additional 15%. We found a mattress and wooden bed frame that we were ready to purchase. However, the salesman was extremely confusing to the point I had no clue what he was talking about. I had already calculated in my mind the cost should have been around $1600 for both items. Suddenly he is talking about $2800 and then having an extra $2000 to make up for the difference. He mentioned $5000 at one point. What difference and where are you getting these prices from?? So, confused my wife asked if we needed to spend a certain dollar amount to get the discount and he kept talking about making up for the difference of the sale items.

That made me feel as if he was trying to trick us into spending double of what we wanted to pay just to get a better sale. This greatly annoyed my wife and i so we went to steinhafels, purchased a brand new mattress with a 10 yr warranty and an entire bedroom set for $2300. This includes delivery and assembly. None of this spend more to make up the difference nonsense.The salesman was great, no bs, and was up front and honest. He did not try to squeeze extra money unnecessarily out of us. That is why i will continue to go to Steinhafels.

The salesman Dale really listened to what I was looking for & was so friendly. I was pressed for time and he helped get everything moving quickly. There were tons of fabric choices & my sofa is beautiful. I can t say enough about the delivery process either. I got multiple updates including their delivery tracker the day of delivery so I knew just when to expect them. The delivery men were so efficient and careful, and friendly too! Overall a great experience, I will definitely be back

Shopped around a bit and just happened to find our favorite style here, despite not having a great feeling about the place. Their "sales" can be a bit misleading- things are so marked up that it's practically 50% off at all times, and you could still end up overpaying for low-quality stuff, so make sure you research and compare. We ordered a matching loveseat and sofa for our new home. The loveseat came after a week and everything went well- the delivery was good and the loveseat was just what we were hoping for, and so far it has held up well. The sofa however, had some hiccups; We had been told the it would take about 4 weeks to arrive (even though it wasn't special order or anything) but we ended up getting calls that it would be delayed longer and longer, up to over 2 months from when we had ordered. At that point we decided to cancel the sofa order due to the frustration with the situation and needing to get another couch sooner because of family and holiday events. They were helpful and apologetic and refunded the sofa cost. I understand that delays can happen, but I wish we had been warned upfront that this could happen as it might have changed our decision making. If you decide to shop here, make sure you compare with other stores for price and quality, and ask lots of questions upfront to clarify details!

We bought a couch from Colders last May. This June, the arm broke (our fault), so we reached out to Colders to repair it. Even though it was just outside of the warranty, they were very helpful and repaired our couch in a timely fashion and at a very reasonable price. Great customer service!

We had a pretty good experience buying a recliner ...

We had a pretty good experience buying a recliner and getting a free sofa and chair. There was a lot of effort on the part of the salesman, but they stuck with us to help us put together the perfect order. The furniture arrived when they said and the pickup process was very simple and organized with very helpful staff to help load and tie it down in the trailer. This is about the 4th time we bought furniture from them and never had any noteworthy problems.

I understand that everyone wants to do a good job and earn commission. But seriously we were not even past the first dinningroom set and this sales man would not stop! He stalked us around and while I used the restroom he continued to harass my husband. We stated we were just looking and gathering prices etc. Not to buy because we do not have space right now. I had to literally tell the sales man to back off because he was making me uncomfortable. It makes me sad because there were some interesting pieces we like... But we still don't understand the sales pyramid they have going on there. Not sure it's worth going back.

The time of purchasing was great! Lisa was very helpful and seemed very knowledgeable. Then when our furniture came in I was initially told that they were trying to find out where my sofa was. After a week of trying to get an answer, I find out it was damaged in transportation and no one has been honest enough to tell me what was damaged. The manager gave me a credit towards our purchase for due to the fact that no one communicated with me about our furniture. When the furniture was delivered it looked like someone had been sitting in it because there were dips in the seat cushions. Needless to say, we are very disappointed. I contacted the manager back to inform him of my disappointment and he never called me back. They scheduled an appointment with their senior service tech. At this same time, I asked for another credit for the inconvenience and was told that they wanted to come and assess the situation and we could talk about it after the fact. The service tech was here last Saturday for 2.5 hours making the repairs to the furniture. Unfortunately I have not heard from the manager about another credit. I am extremely disappointed. This was an inconvenience and the furniture is brand new. We spent a lot of money! Don t know that we will do business here again.

I was going to buy a new stove and microwave from them. I asked three times if they install the microwave and was told yes three times. Today they called and wanted to confirm mondays delivery and was told no they will not install this is after charging me $140 extra for "installation ". I asked to talk to manager and was told none were working, this was during normal business hours. One would call me back. 3 hours later the sales person called. All they said they would do is give me the name of an installer. The sales person was not overly friendly or willing to work with me so I canceled the order. We have spent well over $10000 there in the last few years. There has definitely been a change in the way they do business. Not Good.
Update Colders manager did call me back and we have come to an agreement. I am happy with the agreement and will continue to do business with Colders.

Very disappointed about the quality of my multiple thousands of dollars upholstered bed. Very poor quality.. Highly surprised about this. I have been a reoccurring customer since 2011! I will never shop with colders again. Good luck.

Customer service was almost non existent. I saw a few people walking around but only one approached me after being there quite a while. Actually, that seemed to be the only sales person to approach anyone. He was awesome! I made a purchase. 60% off. One back order. 4 stars are given because my salesperson was very friendly and helpful.

BUYERS BEWARE YOUR ROOMS ARE NOT READY AT COLDER'S!!! I order my furniture 3 months ago and I still haven't received it. My sales person Pamela followed me around the whole store until I made a purchase. She told me my items were back order and it would take 4 to 8 weeks before I received it, which is a long time and that was a lie. I called once 8 weeks had arrived they told me to would still be another 4 weeks. I called 3 weeks later told me another 2 weeks. Talked to the manger Matt who was very rude and really didn't care about my problem, Told me it is out of there hands was you order it. Also told me it can take up to 5 months before you get your furniture. The only thing Colder's wants is your MONEY!! Once you send it you cant get it back so they don't care anyways. If I ever get my furniture I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!

The colder's delivery system I found to be the bes...

The colder's delivery system I found to be the best of any the retailers that I've utilized through the years. Starting with the e-mail notifying on the delivery window, the phone following up on it, and the ability to track during the day. Thought identifying the delivery folks along with their picture was a great nod towards safety and personalized the experience.

Drivers arrived right on time, were courteous, and extremely careful when bringing the sofa into the house.

Looking for a sectional for our lower level. Came into the store to see what they had to offer, really didnt have anything specific in mind. Really early in the couch selection process. Within a minute, there was a floor person following us around asking way too specific questions about what our budget is,
What we can afford, talked about financing. felt really uncomfortable with someone literally a foot behind me at all times. Am I going to pick up a couch and walk off with it??? Felt very unwelcome, very pressured, and very pushed into making a decision that day or get out of the store. Never going to return because I didn't feel welcome at all. Fell like I was just a walking dollar sign to them.

Hard sales tactics. Fake sales. Extremely over priced.

Wanted an A+ mattress with massage base. Queen size was $7,800.! Insane. Went to a different store, exact product-----the same brand. $4,200.00. Went to 3rd store off brand, priced at $2,250.00. Beware!

We have been here so Many times. I bought a stand up freezer 6 years ago. The type I wanted was sold out. He told us the next one had a similar cooling system that was even better than the first and would give us the sale price.

I wish I would have stuck to my list and not listened, as he had no clue. Worst freezer I've ever owned.

We worked with Scooter at the Colder s on Hwy 100 in West Allis. He was the perfect balance of helpful with gathering information but also encouraging us to explore for ourselves and find the couch we liked best. Once we had found the piece that fit our needs, we called him over and he handled the rest. It was easily the smoothest couch buying experience I ve had in a long time. I greatly appreciated feeling like I wasn t being pushed or convinced to buy something. Definitely a 5 star worthy experience and Scooter deserves all the credit.

Lovely place! Sales person offered just enough help without being at all pushy. She helped me find what I was looking instead of trying to get me to buy a higher cost item. And the store goes on forever! Found my sofa and chairs after wandering through a lot of the rooms in the back and they are perfect!

Absolutely terrible and misleading sales team. "guaranteed" a delivery date for a special order, we impressed upon them the need to hit the date. On the day of delivery they called and said it was delayed 3 weeks. Spoke with the manager, he didn't seem to care or offer any help.

Don't trust the guys to strap your stuff down on your truck. My dresser almost fell out of my truck after they strapped it down. Also, my refrigerator is missing a water tray for underneath the water dispenser on the front. And also has a dent in the freezer door.

Customer Service is poor. My refrigerator was delivered damaged. I called customer service who had me call the manufacturer for them to review the damage first. Whirlpool wanted me to take a day off work so they could send someone out to look at it. I m not able to do that, being a single parent, especially an 8 hour window. When I explained this, they wanted to send me parts to replace broken pieces. This was a brand new , $1500 purchase. I went back to Colders and am pursuing an exchange. This was a slow process as I had to leave several messages with the sales person and customer service. It s over a month and I m waiting for the ex change. I don t recommend Colders purely because of customer service.

I called Colders first to see if they had what I needed. The man on the phone was very friendly. They didn't have it at the store I called, so he transferred me to the other store. They had it! I was able to purchase it over the phone, then go to pick it up. It was all set. They were friendly and helpful and even loaded it in my car.

will NEVER shop here again. A refrigerator that was marked down for a "dent in the side" was actually a lemon and never defrosted correctly. ended up having to de-ice the freezer about every month ....also had previously bought an expensive leather sectional sofa, that broke down years before I finished paying for it. Not enough straps for support under the cushions. Very expensive to repair. Colders only paid for the material...it was the labor that cost, $275 per section. The material was very cheap; only a few straps. My bad for going back after the first negative experience

When we returned, Tim greeted us immediately, helped us make our purchase, and ensured us that he d send along our thanks to Fred as well. Great prices, great experience. Absolutely horrible. I was willing to look past the saleswoman talking to me as though she were addressing our 2-year old that was with us - as if I'm unaware of the nuance between a front-loading and top-loading washing machine. I should have known, then and there, that the $100 savings wouldn't be worth it. We purchased a "near" top-of-line washer and dryer set by Samsung. Six months later, the dryer decided to stop working. We called Colder's on Saturday, who told us that the appliance place they contract with would call us in one to two business days. On Tuesday, my wife called the appliance place around noon, who told her that they had seen the request and had responded that they weren't actually under contract to work on Samsung for Colder's. So, of course, my wife called Colder's back. The gentlemen she spoke to said that it was on our file that the appliance place had indeed emailed them back first thing Monday morning. Apparently, the most appropriate way to address that situation, per the Colder's Handbook, is to wait until the customer calls wondering if/when the warrantied product will be serviced. Colder's then let us know that we'd need to contact Samsung directly (that would have been pertinent information on Saturday). Today is week later, the following Tuesday. Samsung has sent one repair man out last Thursday without the parts required to fix the issue and today told us that they are still waiting for the parts. But, rest assured, they're doing all that they can to expedite the parts order. Do yourself a favor, just go to a big box store that has their ow service people. This has been an absolute joke. Both Colder's and Samsung will not be getting any more of my business.

Google won't let me post without at least one star...which I'm guessing will artificially inflate their average rating, which irritates me even further.

About three years ago we bought what we thought at the time was a nice leather couch & loveseat, so we paid extra for the extended warranty on them. Recently the color literally began peeling off on a section of the loveseat, so we called to get it covered under the warranty. After 6 or 7 calls that only resulted in being put on hold for a half hour just to get disconnected, we just drove to the store to get it handled. The customer service lady there was kind and apologetic, and after seeing our pictures of the love seat assured us it would be covered and taken care of. A repair guy came a couple of days later to look at it and said they would get back to us about it. After several WEEKS we had to call them back again and go the the whole hold/disconnect deal again several times, only to be told by a disinterested lady"sorry, not covered" and then promptly hung up on.

We bought a new Maytag refrigerator model M1txegmyb01 from Colder's in West Allis
and noticed a loud howling sound after running for 24 hours. I called Colder's and they sent a repair technician out and was told this is a normal sound. I told the repair man I am aware that the newer refrigerators do make a bit more noise than the older ones but this is above that. I even went to another store to hear a different one run, and no noise like mine. I talked to the Manger, John and he said they would not be able to do anything, at best if I wanted to return it the restocking would be 30%. I checked with Sears and some other retailers. At least at Sears you are guaranteed 100% satisfaction and they will take returns on appliances if you are not happy. Something Colder's is not willing to do. Therefore I would recommend you look some place other than Colder's when purchasing anything, especially in today's economy.

Brian at the Grafton location went above and beyond with customer service. I had called the store looking to purchase a dryer ASAP. As a family of 5, and 2 dogs I could not live without my dryer. Brian took my information and told me he would call me back to see what he could do. Ten minutes later he called to tell me he could have it to me the next day. I am so appreciative of Brian s customer service, help, and dedication to my purchase. He went out of his way to help me and ensured me that the dryer I wanted would be put on a delivery truck and brought to my home the next day. I had called three other large appliance providers and no one could help since items were out of stock or delivery times were booked. Thanks again Brian for your wonderful customer service!

The other day my wife and I stopped in at colder s to shop for bedroom furniture. Our sales person was Greg he sa no pressure style of sales os wonderful. We found a set that we liked very much by Rachel Ray. He looked up what the sale price was, in which the sale going on till the first. It s 50%+10% on bedroom furniture, so the price was fantastic and finished the sale. We will be receiving our furniture Friday. We can t wait, thanks Greg

First time buying from Colders and so far so good....

First time buying from Colders and so far so good. Our sales person was Jeff Aldridge. He was excellent. We needed a new bed and he took a lot of time with us going over every option from the most expensive to a lower cost option. He went through all the benefits of each model and helped us find something that will hopefully be delivered and set up by Monday which we really needed for guests. He helped us save so much money that we also came out with new bedroom furniture as well. I have been in customer service for the last 17 years and though my review of Colders might change if we have any issues with delivery and set up but as far as Jeff goes, he provided us with top notch customer service and couldn't have asked for more. Thanks a ton Jeff, keep it up!!!

Dale Dopp was very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. Really spent time working out the best deals within the store specials. Management lacking on response time when paged to confirm numbers. Wait time was ridiculous and no fault of Mr Dopp.
