I was looking for a dryer. I had a really nice sale associate name Sean K. he inform me on the deals that colder's had for there washer and dryers. My fiance decided to purchase both a front load washer and dryer for me at a really good deal. Sean K made sure we had everything we need and explained everything about the purchase. Sean K. asked if there was any removal for the old appliances which I thought was great. I didn't have to worry about removing the old appliances. Thank you Sean K for your help!

I bought a bedroom set several years ago and one piece broke when I disassembled it for a move. I called on Sunday to inquire about it, got an immediate text back saying the offices were closed but that they would contact me on Tuesday, which they did. They worked with me to identify the piece information, placed the order and I only have to wait until it gets to the store. The set was pretty high priced but the parts are very affordable. I'm very happy with the experience, especially considering that we are in the middle of the COVID 19 situation. Everyone was efficient and very professional. I know where my next purchase for furniture will be.

I love colders in West Allis it's my go to store for furniture and appliances. Tim is a great salesperson who I'd reccomend to any and everyone when shopping for furniture, appliances or even just looking around. He's very knowledgeable about the pieces in the store of what they do and the cool things they do. Again Tim is an excellent salesman and I have no issues recommending him to others, he's very helpful, nice and kind.

We were long-time customers, but we won't be going...

We were long-time customers, but we won't be going back. We purchased several furniture pieces Mid-January, and here we are almost 3 months later, still waiting on items that were "backordered". Such poor customer service and shady salesmanship. Of course at purchase, they promised a month tops for a sectional and dining table and informed us our recliner would be ready by March, but someone would stay in contact about delivery. NO ONE had reached out to us outside of my husband I both calling repeatedly to get answers. They also omited the part about an extra fee to "split delivery" despite the salesman stating otherwise about our delivery options, since the recliner would take time. The communication is just so poor: it's downright unprofessional, dishonest, and misleading. We were tempted to just cancel our order, but then there's a 30% restocking fee....but wait; how do you restock items on backorder??? What a joke.

I purchased 3 mattresses from the West Allis location. I went to both the West Allis and Grafton locations to test out the mattresses in the showroom. They both were soft/plush mattresses, however the ones I received are NOTHING like the ones in the showroom. I let them know immediately and they continued to tell me that I received the correct ones and that it may take 30-45 days to break in. I have been in pain sleeping on these mattresses. It s been over 30 days and they have not changed at all. I physically can t take another nights sleep on them and Colders has a strict no return policy on mattresses. I was never told in the store about this break in period. Money completely down the drain. I would NOT recommend buying a mattress from them! They did absolutely nothing to try to accommodate me.

Maxie my sales person was efficient and made sure I got the best service at the front counter as well. The delivery was quick and the guys made it look easy.. The person who ran my card at the store went out of his way as well. So pleased with my purchase!!

I need 3 to 5 pieces of furniture. I had never been to Colder's before, so the prices and selection were completely new to me, and I quickly realized that I wouldn't be able to afford everything I need right away-- probably 2 pieces to start.

Rudest. Manager. EVER!
We purchased; a sofa, love seat, recliner, end tables, coffee table, king size mattress and box springs, bed frame and pillows. Our salesman, Dale was extraordinary!! Worked diligently to meet our needs. We arranged delivery and were assured that everything was in stock and to be delivered together. Delivery day arrived and our sofa, love seat and recliner were not included. When we spoke with the manger, instead of perhaps apologizing for all the items not arriving together as we were told and perhaps working with us to find another delivery date and time to solve this minor inconvenience he instead accused us of being wrong and telling us we didn t listen to what our salesman said when arranging a delivery date. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our salesman was outstanding and what could have been simple human error turned in to horrible customer service and lack of professionalism and simple HUMAN KINDNESS from the manager. Due to his lack of management skills we will never again return to Colders West Allis.

Offered a sale price online for a washer/dryer combo emailed a receipt of purchase claiming to call with delivery information and a week later no call back. Called to see when I will have my product only to find out it was a misprint of sale price online and they will not honor the price given and had already cancelled my order without my knowledge. I asked what do they have that s comparable to the merchandise and he said they have no other offers on the same model. Considering this is not a corporate operated company I now know why they can care less about bad sales and misrepresentation of their merchandise or keeping their loyal customers happy. I will definitely spread the word as to how poorly this situation was handled and spend my trust elsewhere.

My wife and I have shopped here a number of times for appliances and furniture. Selection and prices are both very good. Most recently I was looking for better seating for my basement TC/rec area. I'm tall and find that most recliners leave my foot dangling off the end and, when reclined, leave my neck unsupported. The salesperson took the time to show my wife and I around and very professional (i.e., patient and helpful) as I tried a number of options before selecting left and right handed chaises with center console. Enough room to avoid dangling feet, good elbow support, plus the chaise included an adjustment on the back part specifically for the neck area.

VERY UNSATISFACTORY & UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE! If I could send with no stars, I would! My husband purchased 2 recliners @$1300 each($2600 before tax) two weeks ago. Although he looked them over, there were 2 different employees who repackaged them, 1 was careful, the other was fumbling around. Immediately after opening box, he noticed a tear in the arm. He called & emailed pics. He was told by Tony that they could send someone to repair it. 1 week later we hadn't heard anything, so he called again. They would ask questions then call back saying they need more info. Now we are being told that since he looked it over, Colders is not responsible. How is 1 purchaser supposed to watch 2 different employees package up the purchases at the same time?! We had planned to purchase the matching couch later this year, but due to this service we will NOT be returning! We expect better service when spending almost $2800 on 2 recliners! THIS SERVICE IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY & UNACCEPTABLE!!

Worst experience I have ever had purchasing anything. I have never written a negative review before, because it is not my personality, but I have given them every chance to make things right and I gave them one last opportunity before I decided to write this.

It is a very long story, but I will try and shorten it. Basically, I am brand new to Milwaukee and this is the first experience I had purchasing anything here. I went to Colder's to purchase a full bedroom set, did not see anything on the floor, so the salesman helped me order a set. Told me it was going to take 4-6 weeks to be delivered. I was ok with that, so I agreed. After 6 weeks of living out of suitcases and boxes, it was delivered to my apartment and was not the correct thing at all (female set with bedazzled handles and specific thin drawers for jewelry), so I asked them to take it back with them and contacted the store. The manager told me over the phone that I could come back in to pick something else out so I avoided a 30% re-stocking fee on the over $1,500 I spent and I would have to pay the over $150+ delivery fee again for the new items. I was still open to the options and went back into the store. The delivery guys accidentally forgot some parts, so I gladly took those back to Colder's as well. I went through the store, there were only 2 choices that I could pick from that would not require me spending more money and then I still had to pay the delivery fee, so it was more cost to me either way.

After I finally had given up, I simply just wanted my money back and said I wanted to be done with this entire experience. They tried to negotiate with me and said they would not charge me the delivery fee and still held the 30% re-stocking fee over my head if I did not choose something, but I told them I did not want one of the two choices they had and I was not waiting another 4-6 weeks to order something again. After two trips out to the store, multiple phone calls, never speaking to a manager in person because they were not available ("lunch at 4:30 pm"), finally the original salesman (who was not the problem at all, he did a good job) finally got them to return my purchase and they said they would not charge me the 30% re-stocking fee. I checked and they refunded everything but the delivery charge, so I asked for that and they said they could not, so I was out the $150+.

After spending over $1,500 at Colder's, getting about $1,300 back and absolutely nothing to show for it other than wasted time and money, I can only hope that my story can save other consumers thousands and cost Colder's much more than that.

Went to Ashley Furniture and got a better set for a cheaper price.

No assemble-it-yourself style products. Everything already assembled, overpriced, and want you to pay for delivery. Pushy sales people work on commission then laughed at me when I asked about IKEA style furnature. Will never return or spend money here. Will tell everyone I know!

How UNRELIABLE these reviews are..First, Colder's sells multiple brands so of course if you buy cheap furniture you get a cheap product..Second it's not the Delivery service that's unreliable but the sales associates not informing their customers of the delivery details just so you'll buy and they'll make their commission(they are the ones who have to submit your "custom order")

Unfortunately, I have to give them one star to be able to write a review. Stay away from this franchise. The worse experience every on purchasing item, that's not even the worse. Getting them to come out and fix the problem. Gets even better A reclining sofa we purchased from Colders made by southern motion. The first six month the reclining mechanisms had to be replace. This past March of 2017 we had to have the cushion inserts to be replace also. This sofa is not sat on every day and was bought in April of 2015. Now one of the cushions Colders told quality repair men. Colders words.. The cushion is all deformed and shifted. This was done in March of this year. Colders will not stand behind their work and all I get is it's out of warranty and if I want it fixed I have to pay. I'm unable to attach a pic for all to see. I figure it's time to call Contact 6 and get them involved.

I've been in the market for a new living room set ...

I've been in the market for a new living room set for awhile. As such I shopped around at several stores, and was looking for the best deal. Of the 4 stores I went to, this was by far the best experience.

After browsing for about 5 min, a sales associate (Tim) came by and greeted us- unlike other stores he didn't hover over us the entire time. I should also note that one of the stores we visited earlier, we were set upon by a flock of vulture like sales associates, and at two of the other stores we were completely ignored as the sales associates who were completely preoccupied with standing in groups chatting with eachother.

The store had a large selection, and it was spread out in a way that didn't feel pretentious. I found several sets that I liked, and Tim checked in periodically to see if we had questions. When I finally picked out a set, Tim helped us check out.

Overall this was a great experience, and I am happy with the price I received and the quality of the product.

Mom is moving and not sure what would fit in the new apartment so looking to see what was out there. Micheal Cross showed us around, pointing out options. Then nicely gave us time alone to figure out our thoughts. He found us looking at something completely different which we all laughed at. Micheal looked it up in stock and filled us in on the sale price. This gave her the nudge she needed to say yes. She is so excited. Thank you Michael for all your help. You made it easy and enjoyable for a hard change in my moms life. We have more to purchase so we will be back to work with Micheal again.

My husband and I purchased a bedroom set (mattress, box spring, and bed frame) from Colder's last month. While shopping in-store, the salesman assured us that installation and removal of our old set would be included. A week later when they dropped off the set and installed it, the gentleman that did the installation said that he did not have a work order to remove our set. Wanting to avoid the hassle of calling customer service, we ended up taking care of removal ourselves.

The first few nights went alright, though we did notice the frame creaked every time we got in/out of bed. About a week in, we heard a cracking noise. I inspected the bed, but couldn't find anything wrong with it. Fast forward a few weeks to yesterday. My husband and I climbed into bed and the entire thing snapped. We immediately jumped out of bed to check the damage and sure enough, both the frame and box spring had broken. The frame only had 3 small (2" wide) support slats supporting the box spring. They were not properly installed and the screws had ripped through the frame (which I can now see is particle board, not solid wood). Because of this tension, the main support beam in the box spring also snapped.

Today, I had the pleasure of calling customer support. This was a frustrating experience to say the least. I went through the menu MULTIPLE times only to have the call randomly disconnect before ever reaching an operator. Finally, I did speak with a helpful gentleman who took down the information and said he'd contact the repair company, which was then supposed to contact me to schedule a repair time. They returned my call that afternoon with the news that my bed cannot be repaired for ONE MONTH. Where are my husband and I supposed to sleep while we wait an ENTIRE MONTH to have our bed repaired??

We haven't even had the bed for a month and it's already unusable. To add insult to injury, I received an email from Colder's reminding me that "if it is determined that the service provided on your product is not covered under the Terms & Conditions of your service plan, you will be responsible to pay the service provider for the service call." When I called to ask customer service if I'd incur a charge, they were unable to provide me with that information. The service provider called from a restricted number, so I am unable to contact them for more information.

Both items broke due to BAD INSTALLATION and POOR PRODUCT QUALITY - my husband and I SHOULD NOT be held responsible for something we didn't damage. We shelled out a pretty penny for the set, expecting it to be of good quality. Sadly, it's no better than the particle-board crafted frames we could have purchased at Walmart for 1/3 of the price. Save yourself the time and money, buy your furniture elsewhere.

**UPDATE**
The day after posting my original review, I was contacted by a member of the Colder's team. They were able to send a wood technician out the next day to repair the frame and they promptly put in the order for a new box spring. They were able to have the box spring delivered just two days later! In total, it only took 4 days to have everything taken care of, as opposed to the month long wait time we were originally given. I am very pleased with how easy the repair/replacement process ending up being and would consider using Colder's again in the future.

We feel we received the best deal on the appliances we purchased. In fact we returned the next day to purchase a new wash machine and take advantage of the delivery. Tricia was our sales rep and treated us very professional. She was very knowledgeable on all the items we chose. our items have not been delivered yet so cannot comment on that aspect of the sale.

My delivery call, email and text message scheduled my delivery from 1-4pm. As I work during the week, I made plans for the morning hours today. At 9:30 AM I got a call from delivery drivers phone wanting to know if they could come at 10:30, I said I cannot be there as I am coaching. At 11:30 I then got a call from a colder s saying the drivers were 10 minutes away. I texted the delivery driver that called earlier and said I cannot make it until my delivery time from 1-4. He proceeded to tell me my appointment was from 12:30-4, which on all three communications it was stated from 1-4. I texted him when I left the gym. He texted me at 12:30 asking me where I was. They were messy and left garage around. And did not seem to take their time. They through the couch together and when I asked them to move, they got
upset. It is very organized and I did not appreciate them calling and texting me non stop for a time frame which was not illustrated to me. My time was 1-4pm.

In an age of most stores not having any inventory on site and inexperienced delivery and installation technicians, Colders was a refreshing change. They had the products I needed in stock and their delivery personnel were knowledgeable, on time and efficient. I will definitely make Colders my first stop when looking for appliances in the future!

We ordered a new Kitchen Aid dishwasher and a refrigerator a few weeks ago at it was delivered Thursday February 16th. My wife was home when the delivered it and did not notice the ding at the top of the refrigerator when the where at the house delivering it. For one she is only 5'4" and the ding is at the top of the refrigerator so it is hard to see from that angle. I was out of town for work until late Friday night so did not see the new appliances until Saturday. I noticed the ding first thing Saturday morning because it is right at my height. My wife called the store over the weekend and the woman said it needed to be reported to the store within 24 hours of delivery, but she would leave a message with a manger to call us. We received a call the following Monday or Tuesday and after talking to them they told of there is nothing they will do. The ding is obviously from them it is not in an area or height that would have come from our kids or someone bumping into it. We reminded them we have purchased almost $15k of appliances and sofas from them over the last 3 years still nothing, they keep bouncing her around because nobody can make a decision. I typically will not leave a negative comment about a company without first talking to them to rectify the problem first. In this case they are truly deserving of the low rating for ignoring our concerns. We like to try and purchase from a locally owned stores, but sadly in the case we will not be buying anything from Colders again.

I ordered a new sofa around Memorial Day Weekend. They called and said it would be about 6 weeks until they get it. Ok fine. I call 6 weeks later and they say first week of August. They said they would let me know if anything comes up. I call again because I haven't heard from them and now they are saying SEPTEMBER. Unnn freakingggg believable I posted this exact message on Facebook only to find out a friend experienced the same thing except her 6 weeks turned into 3 months. This is absolutely ridiculous. Have communication with your customers if you are experiencing delays. This is such an inconvenience to our family. I would have purchased from somewhere else if I knew I wouldn't be able to use my living room due to not having the furniture I've already payed for. #horribleservice #neveragain #youcouldhaveatleastcalled

I bought a bedroom set, dinning room set and 2 dresser. The bedroom set and mattress arrived on time, the dinning room set took over 6 weeks to be deliver and I am still waiting on my dressers. It has been over 13 weeks and nothing. I call the store and I spoke to the assistant manager and no they have been no help. Costumer service sucks so if they don't have it on hand don't buy it. They will take your money and leave you hanging until they get the item. You will not get any help on the order.

I had been shopping around for mattresses over the last few months. Very time consuming and frustrating. Until this past weekend when I decided to try Colder's. Purchasing mattresses this past weekend was the easiest thing I've done in a long time. My salesman Fred Henry made this experience very smooth.
