Colders had the best price on a new washer that we...

Colders had the best price on a new washer that we had researched significantly online. Had we not done so and known exactly what we had wanted, we would have been at the mercy of a salesperson who didn't know his product. He had to keep going back and forth to his computer to look things up which we didn't understand. We wanted model X and upgrade Y. The only question was color availability and cost. Why that took multiple trips to the computer to fumble for "sort of" answers was beyond us. A separate issue, but why they would have charged us over $350 more for a different color is also beyond us. Same exact model. ONLY difference is the color. Kind of like paying another $2000 for the green Honda versus a blue one. Again, don't really get that. The kicker was when he stated that the rebate "probably" didn't apply. I had to say two times "...but I have the form printed right here...doesn't this combination work for it?". His answer? "I guess so."

To be fair, Colders was able to deliver and install it within 48 hours, which is great.

Noticed on the receipt that I was charged twice for removing the single old washer. Per the front desk person, "my manager" will be processing a credit on that. Not a major deal as it was only $20 but definitely an annoyance...one more thing I'll need to keep track of until that credit hits. The charge can hit my credit card within a day but a credit may take up to 10 days?!?!?. Is your accounting system that antiquated?

We both felt like we'd just left a used car lot with a salesperson that was simply trying to sell whatever he could to make quota and keep his job.

My advice is to do your research elsewhere and go to Colders if they have EXACTLY what you want for the best price. Get in, tell them exactly what you want, and get out.

I walked into this store today to clearly shop for new furniture. By other reviews I can seesthat the Sales people are usually on it with their customers. I walked by three people and didn't get as much as a "hi, welcome". I don't know anyone by name because no one approached me I was on the phone with my dad and was telling him my current experience. The sales person standing near finally acknowledges me and says to me on my way back to the front of the store, I'll tell u about our promotion when you're ready...
I am glad others recirece a better experience and hope that management makes sure each customer receives the same support and Service. Thanks for sending me off.

Bought a coffee table almost two months ago. Was told that I should have it in a couple weeks. Then, told the ETA was mid-July, then end of July, than beginning of August. Went to the store to find out what is going on and they told me that it was due to Covid and that manufacturing is down. Asked about just canceling the order as they cannot produce what they sold me, was told that I could have an in-store credit. For what, so I can buy something else that they cannot produce. It is now the 2nd week of August and I still don't have my coffee table. I would recommend that you go somewhere else for your furniture, if you want it this decade.

My wife and I recently purchased a new refrigerator, oven, and washer & dryer from Colders in West Allis. Our sales rep Tim Cronin was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. He treated us like we were his family. He made us feel very comfortable during our purchase. He didn't just try to sell us different things, he made suggestions based on asking us questions on how we would use each item, that went along way with me. If your looking to make a purchase, please ask for Tim Cronin, he is an amazing person to work with.
I'm very thankful to have met him. We are going to buy a mattress from him next week.

Colders is my go to furniture store. I have purchased furniture from the West Allis store two times in the past year, and once about five years ago. The sales people are knowledgeable and really seem to care about helping me to get the exact furniture that I am looking for. No high pressure sales tactics, just good service. I have been very satisfied with the delivery service. They are prompt, friendly, and careful while moving the furniture from the truck to my apartment. I highly recommend them for their quality furniture at a fair price and for great service.

Bought $2,000 in furniture Feb 1st. 6-8 weeks was the quoted delivery. That was 9+ weeks ago. Tammy W. in "Customer Service" is just plain nasty to deal with. The sales process goes well but once you turn your money over, nothing else will go well. Over promise, under deliver... The Colder's Way! Update: Sectional to be delivered 10 weeks after being ordered. That's a day AFTER Easter when we were expecting to have it for family to enjoy over the holiday. *** Demand a delivery date be written directly on your invoice*** for any "special" orders or you have no legal leg to stand on when they sit on your money for weeks longer than anticipated.

I placed a very bad review of Colder's Customer Service and their store because I couldn't get any assistance in honoring the 1 year manufacturer's warranty on the first recliner that I purchased in April of 2016. After the review was posted I received a call from Colder's telling me that they had reviewed my situation and would work with me to make sure I was a satisfied customer! I was told that I could go into the store, pick any recliner I wanted and they would honor the original purchase promotion (40% off sale) and I would have not only a merchandise credit for the entire amount that I originally paid ($999.99 - 40% = $599.99), free delivery of the new chair and removal of the old one! This meant that any chair I picked would have the 40% off and then my amount paid (the $599.99 credit) would be applied to the new recliner! I was very glad to hear that because it had been a long, uncomfortable year with the first one. I went in and dealt with a sales person named Tricia O'Hara and couldn't have been more pleased. Tricia was very patient, extremely helpful and so nice to work with, she went above and beyond to make sure I had the chair that I wanted. I want to thank the Colder's Customer Service Department for the outstanding offer and all of their help, all they asked in return was that I revise my original bad review and I was glad to do it once I had gotten the quality recliner that I felt I should have with my first purchase. The only reason that I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars is that I wish this had been able to have been resolved during the first year when I tried to get them to work with me but I suppose I had just never gotten to the right person so better late than never and they really came through in the end! Thank you Colder's, I will once again be a repeat customer as I had been before.

The woman who helped us pick out clearance chairs in the far back of your store was a great help! (Sorry I don t remember her name, it was later in afternoon on Saturday 2-1-20)

We were thrilled to get some great deals on fine furniture at a time when our finances are low. She was patient and respectful and yet her wisdom was greatly appreciated as we made our choices.

This experience actually change my preconceived ideas I developed many years ago about Colder s. I definitely will be back again !

We have had MANY interactions with Colders. At first our experiences were very positive. After problems with deliveries, needing to deal with furniture or fabric that became out of stock after we purchased them, etc., we are very disillusioned. I'll drive to Chicago for furniture before I'd set foot in Colders again.

Avoid at all costs. Received returned merchandise that they claimed they had no idea was returned. Was told by them that our order would be in by September and it still hasn t arrived. They blamed COVID but we all know that s not the problem. They now tell us they have no idea when things are arriving. Will not be back to this store. Horrible customer service.

The delivery was fine. But Dale messed up on my order. I ordered couch and love seat. He even made me go home and measure for couch. I looked at the total cost of my purchase and it was slightly under 3 grand. However I had several receipts all stapled together. Thought everything was in order. Had 3 things listed to be delivered. Delivery day came and no couch. I had family coming, 7 people and only a love seat available. Dale acted like I didnt order it. I reminded Dale that why would I order a love seat and no couch. That he made me go home to measure my couch, doors etc. He made no reply to me, took no accountability. I kept asking if I order this couch if I would not get another delivery charge. No response I also asked for a reduction of original cost of couch, again no response. I told Dale since you made me wait month and messed up my order, showed no accountability for his mistake that I wanted an additional discount as good faith. He said you already got 90.00 off but that was the original sale of 50 percent off plus 10%. I kept asking for no delivery charge and an additional amount off. He still ignored me would not confirm my no delivery charge and the extra off due to his error he would not even acknowledge. I am appalled and angry as I felt he only wanted his commission and lacks accountability in his job as well as customer service lacks integrity. So he said order now or you'll have to get it much later. Right a high pressure sell. Really. I will never come to colders again. His customer service for colders is shameful. 7 people I had over and we sat on floor. But Dale you got my original order wrong! Dont go to colders they are commision eager. People now tell me he has messed other customers. Colders you lack customer service with Dale. The supervisor eventually called me and provided me with no delivery charge, 100 off sofa and an apology. For that I am grateful for.

The sales people are rude and he discriminated against me, i was just in my jeans and tshit when a much older couple who were more finely dressed than myself were serviced immediately while i was waiting on him to finish up with another customer, needless to say i took my $6k in cash to steinhafels and made a great buy with a friendly salesperson. Cmon, $15,000 fora living room sectional.... i got a nicer one in my opinion for $10k less. The people who buy from colders might be a little dim. Imo

I notice everyone has something good to say about colders, but I on the other hand had a very bad experience. First of all I Ordered my furniture in October it was supposed to be there by the end of December didn t get it until February and we received it. It was not what we ordered and than they wouldn t give me my rewards because it was only good for a certain time. When we wanted to change the applaniances they would not let us without paying more money even tho they are the ones that got the order wrong. When I asked to speak to the salesman I worked with they kept giving me the runaround. And the manger was no help at all!!! So we are stock with something we are not statified with!!!!!!

I placed an order online for a washing machine around the 1st of August. When I ordered it, the tentative delivery date was mid-August. My work schedule allowed for me to be flexible for a delivery at that time. I was emailed by a sales rep saying that Whirlpool said it wouldn't be delivered until the end of August. No offer to cancel and order anything else. I did reply just to see if there was any way to expedite since I was without a functioning washing machine. I didn't hear anything until I sent an email on August 24th about my dissatisfaction of the lack of response and communication. The sales associate called me, and he explained that Whirlpool has not been responding to them. I told him that he needs to communicate that with the customer, as right now I feel "ghosted". Again, no date for deliver, and no offer to cancel the order to arrange for something else, nor was there further communication from the sales rep. I physically go into the West Allis store on September 9th. I explain the situation, and that I'm not happy about it. Finally, customer service offered to show me a washing machine that is in stock and able to be delivered. They said they could deliver on September 18th, and they couldn't guarantee a delivery time, so I would have had to taken the day off from work. They called the owner of Colders, and he said they couldn't expedite the delivery, but that he could guarantee delivery on September 19th so I wouldn't have to take a day off from work. He was aware of the situation, that it was over a month since I placed the original order, and that the sales person assigned to me did nothing to help my situation. The owner was on speaker phone, and he knew I was listening. He did not apologize. He did not offer anything for my inconvenience. Nothing. Finally, my washing machine gets delivered on September 19th (yesterday). I know how to use a washing machine, but there was no offer to make sure I knew how to work the machine. There was no testing it to see if it would function properly. When I walked downstairs after the men left, I ran a load of laundry. They did NOT set it up properly, as I walked down to find water all over my floor when I went to switch the load to the dryer.

Our experience was lovely. Granted we spent about 4 to 5 hours in store but it was worth it as our sales rep Emmanuel is phenomenal! I cannot thank you enough Emmanuel for the wonderful experience and helping us by giving us options and number crunching. This helped us make our choices accordingly to what we needed. No pressure sale tactics and he was within the area so finding him was a breeze. informative, cost compare, provided other options and suggestions. I'm glad we had someone like Emmanuel, it was the perfect medium because if I was pressured or uncomfortable I would have walked out. Keep it up!

The dock pick up dinked my headboard upon loading it onto the truck. It's not visible (inside of the post) but try to be a little more careful to ensure both posts are level so the edge doesn't chip upon impact.

This place has alot of great items, but the salesmen and manager staff are the most unprofessional people I have ever delt with. Had nothing but trouble with 3 separate orders and all they do is flat out lie about everything. Install came out and told my wife the dishwasher wouldn't fit , he didn't even try. I went to pick it up to do it myself and what do you know it fit and it was the same size as the one I took out. There were more problems with the other 2 orders also. Very unsatisfied

There was a mixup and the delivery drivers were scheduled for curbside drop off, but we had scheduled delivery and setup. One call to Colders customer service and Sara was able to get everything straightened out. The delivery men came in and were friendly, fast and efficient.
