Shawn, Curtis and Marques are like the original three ghostbusters. To clarify, not the new ghostbusters....but the original three. These guys make Dom Draper look like a bum. Assisted by that secretary Kayla who keeps the staplers full and printers full of ink, these guys are unstoppable. Shawnee Mission Ford, and Olathe Ford have no one who compares to these guys. I'm lucky to have such a good dealership.

Bought a car and looked at the website the next day to see if it had SYNC. I then saw they marked up the price from their advertised price by about $2000. I went to Bob Allen and spoke to the owner of the next day and he said the website was a third-party website and there was nothing he could do about the content.
I was also misled on what they covered on their extended warranty and was told that dents we're covered, and a short time later I got a dent and they said it was not covered. I was very disappointed.
I started with this place last week when I had my car towed there to be fixed. They were wonderful and Curtis called with updates frequently. The next day they had my fusion fixed. Then Curtis called and said they scratched my car putting it on the lift (not s huge deal, we all make mistakes. I get it). He went on to say this next week they would get the part paint it call and give me a rental car while they fix it. I thought great! Awesome customer service! This week comes and they never called. I called Curtis Thursday and he thought the body shop had already fixed all this up and he would get back to me. He didn t have a rental that day so this morning he called and said he got it and I could drop it off any time. I called this morning and said I would be there at noon. He said great. I got there today and he apologized but in his words this is the only car I could scrape up , a Ford Fiesta. Wasn t super happy because it s tiny and i have my toddler and her car seat with me but ok I get it. I get in this car and it smells like someone has smoked in it for the past ten years (its a 2017), and it s EXTREMELY dirty and the gas light is on lol who does this?!? I told Curtis i wasn t happy about it and he apologized and said he would find a way to put gas in my car and that s all he could do.......I left and called the manager. He said sorry that happened and he could put me in another car if i wanted to come back....I did not want to come back when it s my day off, I have things to do, already left and put my child s car seat in this nasty car. It was also funny he offered another rental car when Curtis said this car was all he could get. Moral of the story I started off liking this place and was going to get my brakes done too but I will now be looking for a new place to go. I won t go back after that customer service......pretty upset because everything up until today I thought this place was great. They say they treat people like family. I d like to know if they would put their wife and toddler in this Fiesta...I have many pictures to show.

On the drive to work the Ford Explorer (brand new, rarely driven) wouldn't shift gears when pushing on the gas. Not long after the "check engine" light came on.
Called Bob Allen Ford to see if we could bring it in. Was told no problem, ask for Don and he'll take care of it.
My fiance left work early since they could look at it right away only to be told that they couldn't guarantee to look at it today, and they would need to keep it for a few days. I'm not sure how they could come to both conclusions.
When he asked if he could be supplied a courtesy car, he was told that you have to setup the appointment in the future to get a loaner. Sure, next time we'll schedule our car problems in advance!
We ended up leaving without getting the issue fixed. Terrible service and a huge waste of our time.
Updated: I recognize they responded to my comment right away but a part of customer service is reaching out to your customers and following up in person. They have our contact information on file from the service report we filled out. If customer satisfaction was truly important, they wouldn't put it on us to call them to correct the issue. It seems the "appearance" of caring about the customer is more important than actual customer service.
If customer service was important, they wouldn't say, "Bring the car in and we'll take care of it" and then not to care of it.
This review will stay as is as nothing has changed beyond a response on google reviews.
Updated: I would give the online marketing team for Bob Allen Ford 5 stars for staying on top of reviews! But not for them moving on my review, we'd probably still be waiting for our SUV to be worked on.
Not long after my edit, the service manager called my fiance and apologized and made arrangements for a courtesy car and repairs of our Explorer.
We got the car back on Friday morning. They replaced our rear tail light that kept retaining water and replaced the throttle body that was causing our acceleration issues.
This is the best ford I ve ever been to, and the only place I will ever trust taking my car to again. They have treated me so great since I ve started going and have made me feel like a valued customer. I ve worked with Josh in the services area a lot and he has done everything to get me taken care of. Would 10000% recommend this Ford over all the others.

Went in for a regular oil change and tire rotation. It was a pretty big line. The guy said 2 hours. It was done in an hour and a half. They even washed it for me. Good work.

Inconsistent service. The Fast Lane service person on my last visit was not friendly or helpful. I called in advance to make an appointment for service & was told to just show up. Upon arrival they couldn't guarantee service that day. The service advisor was helpful. Stick with one advisor & avoid the contradictory information. I want to be treated like my business is appreciated, and I don't get that feeling even though I purchased my car at Bob Allen.
I came in interested in buying a King Ranch Edition F-150 that was parked out front. Stood in the showroom for over 15 minutes while the salesmen BSed with each other and pretended not to see me standing there. Finally left and bought one at Shawnee Mission Ford. I guess I did not look prosperous enough for Bob Allen's salesmen to bother talking to me. Even though I had purchased an Explorer from you previously, you blew it, and I will not be back.
I went in to have a recalled part replaced. I provided them with the error code from my dash lights as well as the recall number detailing the issue and that I was completely covered under warranty. The man I spoke with immediately told me that I would need to spend $300 to replace a different part because their "fix" for my recalled throttle body would not actually resolve the issue. Of course I can't know for sure, but I suspect that the man was preying on the fact that I am a young woman and wasn't expected to know that he was feeding me lies. Luckily I did not pay for anything because (surprise!) the mechanic came out later stating that the problem stemmed from a faulty throttle body and replacing that fixed everything, just as it was supposed to.
I originally posted a different review but removed it because I felt I was being harassed by their PR department. Now I've decided that people need to be warned. Larry Brown messaged me on Google Hangout and when I didn't answer (because I was at work) he called me. When I didn't answer the phone call, he called again and again. When I finally answered I was fed many basic lines about how they care about their customer's, that they were not trying to take advantage of me, and the employee's "advice" and "suggestions" came across the wrong way. Nevermind that I was told my car WOULD break down again if I didn't spend $300 to fix a manufacturer error. I was never asked to provide more details or my side of the story so I got the feeling that they didn't really care what happened, Larry was just trying to do damage control. I felt like he was reading a generic statement that they give to all unsatisfied customers. The conversation was extremely one sided and I was hardly able to get a word in.
Long story short, I will never visit this dealership again. I would suggest to anyone who doesn't know much about cars but chooses to use Bob Allen Ford to be skeptical of what they tell you or bring someone knowledgeable along. I don't trust them one bit.
I have a 2012 ford focus, I am originally from Illinois and I have my transmission go out for the 4th time. I took it to Bob Allan Ford to get it fixed on a Wednesday( my car is under warranty). Sean who helped me told me that they would have my car done by the end of the day Thursday or Friday morning. I was supposed to go back to Illinois to work on Thursday and I was going to be gone until Sunday. He told me I would have to pay for the rental on the extra days and it would forsake be done by then. I was going to take off work on Thursday so I could make it work but thank goodness my boyfriend let me barrow his truck to go home. I did not receive a call until Friday two hours before they closed and he told me they were just then getting my car in the shop. He also informed me that my battery had almost no life and I needed to pay $130 to replace it. I called my grandfather and boyfriend to see it that was the right choice and they coached me to wait. Thank goodness I did! I then called Sean back and told him to wait and he said he would call me back before they closed. I did not receive a call until Monday. I could have saved money on gas and not put the miles on his truck. I am almost positive that he lied to me so I didn't put the miles on their car. I asked for an explanation of what they did and I got a paragraph of car jargon that I could not understand. I got my car back and took it to an Auto Parts store to get a new battery and he tested it and told me there is nothing wrong with it. The were trying to take advantage of a female. I will also never buy another ford! I have had the "brain" of my transmission fixed, 4 transmissions, fuel pump replaced, clutch replaced(yes it's an automatic), the door locks replaced and many other recalls fixed and I have only had my car for two years!

My son had been scouring the internet and dealerships within a 300 mile radius and found the greatest deals at Bob Allen Ford. We live 2 hours from Overland Park, and my wife and I stopped in to check out the deals that he had found. I must say Darryl Woodard made it the easiest car transaction I have ever experienced in my life. We also met Brad Hewlett who I believe is one of the principle owner/managers. Great folks and easy to deal with. Highly recommend.
Nothing quick about Bob Allen QuickLane anymore. I've been servicing my cars at Bob Allen Ford for over 10 years and an oil change is usually about an hour. Twice now in the last month went there for an oil change a half hour after they opened and the first time I was told it was a 2 hour wait. Said no thanks, I'll come back later. Tried to use their online scheduler to make an appt for this morning but other than an automated reply never got a response. So showed up at 7:30 this morning and was told it would be a 3 hour wait. I can understand being busy but let's be up front about it. If you get backed up 3 hours shortly after opening then maybe you should post wait times or something because no way is 3 hours considered "quick".
I was in a real jam after my last car was totaled in an accident the week before I visited Bob Allen Ford. Ray, Kevin and the entire Bob Allen team were great to work with and really put my angst to rest. They were able to get me in an incredible 2017 Ford Fusion for 0% & $0 down.
I am always happy with the customer service provided by Jake Horn in the service department at Bob Allen Ford. I able to get in quickly and have a diagnosis and solution communicated with me with a cost estimate in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I am not quite as happy with the rental/loaner car service contracted through Bob Allen and provided by Hertz in the dealership. I have purchased my vehicle at the dealer and even have purchased an extended warranty that covers a 'free' rental during times my vehicle is being serviced. I drive a SUV and on multiple occasions receive a 'compact' that is really resembles a golf cart that isn't even a vehicle the dealer sells as its main business! Last time I was given a Chevy Spark. I am also bombarded by the Hertz rep to purchase extended insurance coverage, which is not necessary as I am a fully covered under my personal insurance. I would appreciate a more comprehensive service from Bob Allen that provides customers with a reasonable courtesy vehicle that is comparable to the customer's.
What a great place! My Mom bought a new Ford there. There was some confusion on the paperwork. I emailed Brad Hewlett and he fixed it within a couple of hours. We got a great price, and exactly the deal we wanted.
We move fleet vehicles and need to service them sometimes. I use Shane Rentfro in the service area and Shane does a SUPERIOR job! Never had a issue, always fast and helpful. We ONLY use Shane and Bob Allen Ford for our Ford fleet cars!
I used Bob Allen Ford several times for servicing my truck, and have never been amazed at the service. The first time I needed my truck to go in for an electrical issue, I had them do an oil change as well. They called me to tell me my truck was done. When I showed up, I had to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes as they forgot to do the oil change I requested. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that time. Things happen. I get it.
Come the second time around, I need new tires, a break job and an oil change. I was out of town for work the next week, so I dropped the truck off so they could work on it while I was gone. When I got back home, I called Bob Allen Ford Service to see if my truck was done. In the 7 days that the truck was in their possession, they hadn't even started working on it yet. I had to wait another 2 days for the truck to be ready before I could pick it up.
Needless to say, I won't be using Bob Allen Ford Service ever again. Extremely disappointed with the service. I'll be moving my business to another Ford dealership.

Been taking my truck here for the last few years. I have always been treated well and have left happy. I had a few minor issues with the truck that they were able to quickly diagnose and resolve. When there was a line to get cars out at the end of the day the service manager jumped in my car brought it around and ran it through the wash himself. Labor rate is average for a dealer but a bit high as all dealers are. They never required an appt before but have now started doing them online which I found to work better for me. I was able to schedule the next day and it was not near the wait it had been in the past to drop off. I have had warrenty recall and paid work done here and have been pleased with the job done.

Shane in the service department really took care of us when my car had some major issues on a Saturday. We were in town visiting family and after we dropped the car off at 9am, he had it all fixed and ready to go by close at 4pm. This meant the world as we needed to travel 4 hours back to our home town for work on Monday morning. Bravo!!!
Honestly I despise the whole car buying process but Carissa and Bob Allen Ford made this easy and enjoyable. The truck sold itself but everyone at the dealership was fantastic. Carissa worked with me to get not only a great deal on the 2018 F-150 but made sure to follow up with calls and texts after the sale just to make sure. Not only will I return but I will recommend to anyone wanting a Ford to go see them. Attention management , Carissa needs a raise.

A car dealership is supposed to make money from their service department, not the actual sale of the cars. If that's true, why is Bob Allen's staff so rude? I have never interacted with anyone at this dealership that gives a darn about their job. The working environment must be awful because everyone is miserable. Nobody smiles. Nobody goes out of their way to make you feel like you matter. If you encounter a service / parts member while walking, they don't get out of the way - they expect you to yield even though you are the customer. The vibe I get is "shut up, pay for what we tell you to do and get out". I waited at the parts counter once for five full minutes. Four different employees walked passed me several times behind the counter and none of the acknowledged me. I recently left my car at the night drop for service and nobody ever called me until it was done even though I marked "call for estimate". After my car was done, I got in and the seat was all the way back and the stereo was on a rap channel turned up very loud. Just what I wanted to hear. I hate Bob Allen Ford. Their misery gets all over you every time you go there. My main car is a Range Rover and let me tell you - Aristocrat knows how to do customer service. The Bob Allen management need to take a field trip there to learn how it's done.
Our car had a factory recall. That is the ONLY reason I will ever take my vehicle here. The service department seems to be more concerned with talking on the phone than dealing with the customers who are actually in the store. And no matter what, when you bring your car in, there will be some sort of upsell or something that magically needs repairing.
Way more expensive than most places for standard things like oil changes. The biggest issue with this place is trust.
quite possibly the worse service center I have ever experienced at any dealership. I would be better off going to jiffy lube. have no phone services whatsoever. cannot speak to a service representative ever. phone system just puts you on hold and tosses you around until you get voicemail which is never returned. loved the sales/lease process team but will never go there for service.

Make sure to do your homework before coming to the body shop. I brought in my 16 explorer for corrosion warranty on my hood. They told me the warranty was only up to 70k, I m at 85k and that it wasn t corrosion because there s no rust present, they estimated me around 500 for repainting the hood. I didn t know anything at the time but aluminum doesn t rust which is what the hood is made of, but doesn t mean there isn t corrosion, I called ford themselves couple months later, they told me there is a lifetime warranty on corrosion if it was a manufacture error and it need to be diagnosed by a ford dealership to be approved. I went to another dealership we re they concurred with what ford said, they diagnosed my explorer with corrosion on the hood and ford approved it for replacement of the hood since the existing hood is no good. These people were really about to make me pay 500+ dollars for a hood that would of ended up having corrosion again within months of repainting it.

very disappointed in this dealer ship!! we made it very clear that we only wanted are credit ran threw the ford finance. and he agreed .we looked on are credit 3 days later they ran it 8 times with out telling us. and they gave us a low ball offer on are car. we have gone to other dealer ships win we got our other cars and it only took 2 hours to get every thing done. it took them 2 days.

Update 8/2017: Another excellent visit; service advisor solved the problem on the service drive without even having to have us check the van in. In, out and done in 5 minutes, no charge.
Rodney was great, he understood my need over the phone and was quick to get me in for service. Once I got to Bob Allen, everyone was really nice and helpful. I was in for small dent repair, but Shane also took care of my recall very quickly. He kept me updated and the wait was not long at all. I even left with a car wash! Had a 2013 Ford Escape SE bought from another dealer and was looking to possibly upgrade to a Titanium. My wife checked with a couple of dealers and got excellent response from Ray Blanco @ Bob Allen Ford. She was looking for a particular color and none on lot. Bob Allen/Ray went out of there way and brought in what she wanted from another dealer the next day. We went down that evening to drive it and ended up making a deal on it. We were happy we got an considerable upgrade to 2017 Escape with small increase in payment. Very pleased with salesman Ray Blanco and with everyone else in dealership.

I waited a year to provide an honest review that was based on both sales and service. I traded a car in on a newer used car and experienced a similar back and forth discussion between the sales agent and managers but then the managers are in charge and have the final say on the sale price. I expected to haggle a bit since I believe that's part of the fun of buying things. I didn t experience any pressure to buy a car or to take it home to try it out for a while. I found the car I wanted but wasn't pleased by the offer on my trade-in and made sure to express my disappointment. The owner came out to talk with me personally and we agreed on a fair price. It was clear the management team cares about its customers and will do what is needed to make things right. Since then a few minor mechanical issues came up but the OUTSTANDING service department personnel to include Brian and Sean took care of them with little to no delay on my end. Bob Allen offers a shuttle to drop you off at work and pick you up when it s finished. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from Bob Allen Ford.

Wait room had good wifi, tv, and complimentary coffee as well as bottled water.
Had a missed step on my tire rotation (retrain tpms sensors) but my service advisor promptly had it taken care of and apologized for the mistake.
I have taken my car into this facility on several occasions (recall work), but have never received service so poor as this time. I dropped off my car for collision service on the weekend and never got a call until I followed up Wednesday afternoon to be told insurance would probably be totaling it out. When I contacted the dealership again Friday morning to arrange a time to pick up personal effects from the vehicle, I was told it had already been hauled away to the salvage yard. Now I have to drive all the way out to the salvage yard to get my things out. At no time did the dealership reach out to me about anything that was going on with the vehicle. I will certainly never visit this location again and never buy a Ford again as I have had nothing but recall and service issues. Buyer beware!
Always a good experience they take good care of you. They also get you in and out very quickly.
Updated Post: Bob Allen reached out to me promptly and offered to have me bring my car back in so they could spend more time on it and get it looking great. They seemed very passionate about their business and customer service. I will update this review and rating further after they finish making adjustments to my car. It's nice to know that they care about the customer's satisfaction well after the transaction. Most places would not. For that reason I will continue to take my car here because I know that if something isn't the way it should be they will happily work with me on it to fix any issues. If everything looks good after they are finished I'd be happy to recommend their collision repair center to others. I'll also post updated photos.

I went to Bob Allen because my insurance recommended them and they had good reviews on Google. My car was hit by a deer and needed both doors on the drivers side replaced, both quarter panels on the drivers side repaired, the front hood repaired, and a completely new rear bumper installed. It was approximately a $7000 job. It has been just a couple months since this work was done and already I can tell it was not quality work. As you can see on my attached images, the rear bumper does not stay latched to the body, the chrome stripe on the driver's door does not line up with the rest of the car, and the plastic seam on the window is popped out. Multiple seems on the panels do not line up well. I am happy with the paint job they did on all components that needed to be installed and repaired but the installation itself is not well done. It seems like it may have been rushed. Not what I was expecting from a dealership like this. At this time I can't recommend them or provide more than a 1 star rating. My car does not look like an accident never happened and I believe that's what you're paying for when you go to a body shop.

I've owned my car a little over a year now, and I'm still completely satisfied. My first car buying experience was a nightmare and I was completely taken advantage of by Morse next door. I am so grateful that I went with Bob Allen the second time around. They were very kind and answered all 12,000 of my questions. Austin Blackwell and another man in finance/warranty/paperwork stuff (sorry I'm blanking on the name) stayed till 11:45 that night to insure I was going home happy in my brand new car. They even transferred my special tire valve caps and cut down my windshield washer nozzle covers to fit my new car.

I had an overall poor experience at Bob Allen Ford this week while dealing with the service department. Long story short, I went in yesterday to pick up my vehicle after being notified by service that repairs had been completed. I went to pick up my vehicle, being told it would get a quick wash and be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. I said okay and went ahead and waited outside for 40 minutes. At that point I went inside to inquire as to the location of my vehicle and a gentleman that was not my service adviser went to locate it (thank you). About five minutes later my service adviser came and told me that the engine had started knocking when they went to grab it for me. I asked them to determine the issue at that time as I did not want to wait another day (six days were enough, granted the service department was only open four of those days) and they did take a quick look determining that they could not locate the issue and would need to keep the vehicle another day. At that point I left displeased with the situation with the assurance I would receive an update in the morning. In the morning they updated me that the knocking (actually misfiring) was due to a bad coil which had been replaced and the vehicle was operational again. Bob Allen Ford did reduce my overall bill by 10% which in my opinion was insulting given the circumstances. I made my complaint and was told no further compensation could be given.
I have taken a couple different Ford's into Bob Allen over the years and each time (except this time) the service and communication has been outstanding. The Ford technicians do good work and the issues for which I took the vehicle in were repaired. So, thank you for the quality repairs and the compensation you did offer; however, you have lost a decade long customer.

I bought a used F150 from Bob Allen almost two years ago with 52k miles on the truck. Four months after I had a cam sensor go out. No problem it is something the 5.4s are known for. I was given an Explorer for the day while my truck was being fixed and sent on my way. I returned not long ago with symptoms like before with the cam sensor problem and there are no error codes tripping on the computer. Fine, my truck's warranty is about to go out and i'll be stuck holding the grenade waiting. This brings me to my main point.
When i bought my truck from Bob Allen Ford, I was asked about the extended warranty. I was trading out of vehicle that had no warranty and that was the main thing I wanted. I didn't want to have to work on my vehicles anymore. When i spoke to the male finance specialist in the fall of 2013, I inquired about the extended warranty I was being sold. He told me this is a Ford Motor Company Warranty, not an out side farmed out warranty.
I guess it is my fault for not reading the entire contract and checking this point. When it comes time for me to use my warranty, it is not an actual Ford Motor Company Warranty, the guy lied, I was stuck in a Chevrolet Sonic, which I find ridiculous,, and I am being told that the problems that even my passengers complain about, they can not find anything wrong!
I really liked this dealership when i first visited and bought my vehicle. After all the subsequent visits I will never bring my business here again. If I have to drive out of town to another dealership, I will from now on. I know that my business will not have an effect on the bottom line with what is pushed out off the showroom floor but I feel after explaining my entire story to the management and staff about my past, connecting with the fellow veterans that worked there at the time, and having the warm and fuzzy after leaving with my new-to-me truck that i would be a life long customer. Never again.
I bought a 2017 Ford Fusion from Bob Allen Ford last week and it was a pleasure working with them. They went above and beyond to get me everything I wanted. They even installed a factory moonroof in my car and I was completely impressed. I would recommend buying from them. If I ever trade I will be going to them again.
