Was trying to buy a Silverado 1500. Very poor selection and the one they had was not great. Way overpriced. Very poor sales people. I had to make the sale for them but because they were so bad I went to Stewart Chevrolet and got a better truck for a better price and a great experience. Don't shop at Boardwalk for any kind of car.

Service Dept: did three factory scheduled services there. Everything was done professionally and in reasonable time. A bit pricey, but seems better than other Jeep services in Bay Area
Great service. Everyone was there to help. It was a very pleasant experience. Only spent a few hours there. No hackle. Would definitely recommend this dealership to friends.
Bought a car today. Overall the experience was great! Everyone I worked with was extremely professional compared to 3 other dealerships I went to prior to coming here.
Boardwalk is the only one place that I had been trusted to work on my corvette.Been coming here now for 5 years or so. I never had a bad experience here at boardwalk auto mall. Due to cover 19 pandemic it's mandatory to wear a mask . This morning I forgot to bring my own mask .The manager Jose Cabral hand me one for me to use. Mr. Cabral you're the best. Joe Cabral (manager) is very helpful , kind and honest. Joe always takes really good care of his customer. This place feels like family. Highly recommended.
Customer service was great, everyone was friendly and easy to work with. Problem was coordination. I brought my car in to have three things fixed, only one item was fixed on the first trip. Now the blame game started...was less than pleased...agent realized that maybe this was their fault and not mine so he changed his tune. After all how could it be my fault, they had my car not me. Cool thing they gave a rental second time at their expense.
Second go around I went to pick up my car after rescheduling and it was not ready when I went to get it (ok maybe my fault on this one but I was told it would be 1 to 2 days fix and I came 4 or 5 days later without being called). So had to leave again.
When I got the call everything was good to go but it was a bit frustrating getting there.
Impecable experience. I was interested in a new lease and since I already had a previous lease with Boardwalk they had all my information in their files and everything went smoothly with little need for additional paper work. Went in and left the same afternoon with the new lease.
Great service department. Very helpful, very responsive, and my final bill was less than what was quoted. Car was also washed and detailed when I picked it up. Also, if you're there to look at a new Corvette, make sure to talk to Tim. Very fair price without the huge dealer markup.
Worst car dealer, very bad service, chasing them for months to process cancellation of a jeep extended warranty. They are not responsive, no one to follow up on customer issues, simply awful customer service.
They were inappropriate and very unprofessional. I had a terrible experience both with the services department and with their manager. Communication was a huge issue. They did not call me back when I left voicemails. They couldn't "find" the keys to my car at one point. They never offered me a rental, I had to request that they offer me something after they had already had my car for a week. The manager said he would take over and personally oversee the servicing and the communication, which he never did and still has not returned a call or contacted me. They had my car for a month. To top it all off one service department guy made sexual comments to me. The whole situation was highly unprofessional and very inappropriate.
I always dread new car shopping. And after having the usual pushy salesman experience at a competitor Jeep dealership where every question I asked was answered with 3 more questions, I left depressed and almost gave up but decided to try Boardwalk. At the competing dealer as soon as they determined that I might not be buying today, I was practically shown the door. I had done my homework, owned 3 Jeeps previously. and just wanted a walk around and test drive. No offer to get a key to look inside one. "We only allow test drives for people who are ready to buy." Wow, unbelievable. How do these people ever sell a car? I wondered. So I rock up to Boardwalks new Jeep showroom in Redwood City, and turns out they have the exact vehicle I was looking for. Limited EcoDiesel in Black with 20" rims, exactly the vehicle I have been looking for. Lovely saleslady Mackelle approaches and I express my interest in this Jeep. I prepare myself for the onslaught of questions. Instead..."Sure, let me get the key. Would you like to take it for a test drive?" Holy crap? Really? Wow? Then I saw the sticker price. Waaayy more than I was planning. This limited had a bunch of extras. It was loaded like a Summit. I was so dejected. And it was the same price I saw online using the "Build and Price" feature with those options so I know there is no trickery going on here. But wait! Its a 2015 and there are rebates and discounts to apply!" Says Mackelle. "Let's talk to my manager Gary." Ok, so I keep hope alive. Gary proceeds to work some magic. I don't even want to say what the final numbers were. I don't want to get Gary in trouble! But they ended up getting the price down under my cap. Basically I ended up with all the options for free. Great! Lets do it! Next is financing...Tricky again as I have two cars and a motorcycle I am also financing, but one of the cars I am selling. Without going into too much detail, Gary did back flips to make this work and I drove away with a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited EcoDeisel Black with 20" wheels and a huge smile! Her name is Charley. (Thanks Mackelle for help with the name).
It's rare to find a salesperson with the kind of skills it takes to bring a frustrated customer like me back from the dejection I left the other dealership with, but Mackelle was able to do so and do so expertly. And if she didn't know the answer, she was willing to go find it. It was so refreshing to work with her. No pushiness and no bullshit whatsoever. Thanks Broadway and thanks Mackell!!
Worse case of customer service I have ever experienced in any industry. Made an appointment for a specific recall which couldn't be serviced because they didn't have the part. The appointment was made 2-weeks prior so they should of planned better. When I asked why they had me bring the car in in the first place and leave it there for the day, the manager (I think his name was Joe) just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. This guy definitely needs to learn how to deal with customers or stay out of the shop. He didn't even have the courtesy to reschedule my appointment. If you want a pleasant experience this definitely is not the place to go.
Johnny B and Ian Anderson were very helpful in finding a great deal on the car I wanted to get. They didn't pressure me at all which was nice compared to other dealerships I've visited. Highly recommend working with them if you want a friendly car buying experience
We had a wonderful experience purchasing a Chevy Volt. We took our time and looked and considered other kinds of cars but came back to the Volt being the most best choice for us with it's longer range electric capabilities than other cars in it's class. We were extremely happy with the level of patience and detail they exhibited.
We leased our new Chevy Bolt through John Burns (aka Johnny B). If it were not for his help, we could have bought our Bolt at another dealership. There are plenty of dealership around here and no lack of choices. JohnnyB seemed like a genuine person and his personality and effort made our shopping experience much more pleasant. It wasn t just about closing a sale for him but rather he put in the extra effort to make sure our vehicle was a good fit for us. And when it came to negotiating the price it was Eddie who made it work for us, demonstrating an understanding of where we were coming from and at the end helped push his boss to try to match one of the many other dealerships. Thank you Johnny and Eddie in helping us buy our first EV!
Went to Chevy. They would not budge from msrp, so went elsewhere and got a much better deal. I know this is odd because I know others who went here. Guess it was the wrong salesguy or something. Oh well.
Service dept was prompt and friendly. Needed to get AC fixed and a number of other minor things checked out. I expected to be without my car for 2-3 days but they turned it around so I was only without it one day. Bill was half of what I was expecting. I would definitely take my car there again if I need future service.
The drop off at the the appointed time went quickly. The work was done when promised, and the bill came in under the original estimated cost. I couldn't ask for a better experience.
I felt like all of my questions were answered, and the process of getting a new car was made very efficient and pleasant. All of the people I interacted with were friendly and not pushy at all.
Purchased a Corvette Grand Sport from the team (Brian, Eddy, and Ali) at Boardwalk Chevy and had an incredible experience. They were very knowledgeable about the various corvettes I was comparing and provided best in class customer service as I walked through the process over a week's time.
I'd highly recommend others looking at performance cars like the Camaro or Corvette to do business here.
After visiting several dealerships on a particularly rough day - after my truck broke with unfeasible repairs, I visited Boardwalk and immediately felt comfortable and welcomed by the sales team. We were welcomed by a new sales member, Cheri, I believe it was, and Dean Peters - both of whom made the process of test driving and figuring out my options when it came to a new vehicle very simple and easy. They were very patient and understanding. I was able to trade in my old broken truck and start a lease. I'll also shout out to Brian and Ali, who stayed late along with Dean to finish up all of the paperwork so we could leave with the new vehicle that day. Kudos to them.
Negotiated over the phone on a very busy day and completed the transaction in person at the end of the day. Could not have pulled it off without their flexibility.
worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my entire life! I purchased a warranty for the car and the guy talk me into getting a service warranty for oil changes and check ups. Once I did my research I decided that I wanted to cancel that warranty and they chose the wrong one to cancel after I explained very clearly which one I wanted canceled. Which is fine if they fix it but the lady I spoke to told me it was my fault and they couldn't help me. They will not respond to my phone calls, and to top it off my car that I just spent 37,000 on is in the shop with no money because of this mess! So if you want honest reliable people you better go somewhere else because they are a JOKE!
I had a great time test-driving, asking all my questions about the Spark EV and then leasing it the same day. The sales and finance staff, Ian and Ali , were friendly and helpful and Ben was a great resource re: EV. I recommend this dealership.
I arrived without an appointment to get android auto to work which required an update. This was after 12pm on a Saturday. They still took my car in, they did the update and checked the recalls on the car also. Very impressed by the customer service. Solid dealership. Brian, Ben, and Ian on the sales side were very honest to purchase my Camaro from. (Which later required the software update)
Incredibly easy and awesome experience. Never felt pressured to make any decisions and the entire team was very honest and transparent with any questions I had. I could not have asked for a better car buying experience. Special thanks to Jymaal, Dean and Ali for all thier help and input. Definitely would purchase from here again and recommend it to all my friends.
Bought a new Chevy Bolt EV. Salesperson kept me informed of when car would arrive at dealership and was professional and pleasant to work with. Could not have been an easier process to buy a car!
try not to take your car to this place, they will try to have your car for more than a week just to tell you what the car needs, they charge you even having a guarantee, you tell yourself that it did not cover it and you have to pay for the repair, If the problem is not fixed, they tell you that you need another piece and you have to pay again, they do not give you a welcome as they should treat you as if you were nobody, especially a tall man named Jason, I give him a star, because I can't put any
Don Mays was great. I was very impressed with your entire team: Dean, Ben & Ali. My 'standards' were high since my last car was a Lexus. A friend asked 'you're buying Chevy?' My answer: 'No, I'm buying a Volt + you'd be really impressed with the professionalism of the guys at Boardwalk Chevrolet'.
If you want a fair and clean deal on any GM car, you must hit Boardwalk. My sales guy Al Rezaee was east to work with. Even though I got $5/month more than the other dealer, I enjoyed the comfort that Al gave me in closing the deal. His manager was also a nice individual. I m not complaining about the $5 per month given the fact that they don t push you and don t start high like other dealers and then try to show you how much discount they are giving. Thank you Al for everything and Lee up the good work.
Brought my 2016 Silverado (same truck I bought from them in summer of 16 for $50k) in for basic service on a rainy day. And picked it up with a big scratch on passenger rear side. Since talking with service advisor there s nothing that the dealership will do or take ownership for. Bad decision on their part because not only is it not the right thing to do, but they also lose a client for future. I was in the market for a new Corvette too! This dealership and Chevy lost a good customer.
I would like to think Chevrolet Service department Joe Cabral for fixing my AC unit and having my vehicle promise back to me on time. I love bringing my Cadillac to this dealership They are easy to work with and no hassles. Thank you again for doing a wonderful job and I hope you have a great day.
I hesitated in choosing exceptional (only) because of an incident while the gent was preparing to pull my car into the service bay for service. As I'm finishing up the check-in process with Jason (who was outstanding!), I see a gent with a collection of keys dangling from his belt prepare to enter/ drive car to bay. I said "Young man, please remove your keys before getting in my car." He was professional about it, but I shouldn't have been in that position to begin with. Keys would definitely have damaged leather seating surfaces.
We bought our 3rd Corvette through Boardwalk, working with Tim Boone. Tim is awesome, he gives the best customer service. He takes the time to explain and answer all our questions, he does not rush us. We have always had a great experience buying our corvettes through Boardwalk Chevrolet, they have the largest selection of corvettes to choose from.
I ve never had service so horrible or dealt with people so rude. I will never recommend any dealer at Boardwalk Auto Mall. They are the absolute worst ever. They scratched my truck, poked a hole in my leather seats, could not find a radiator leak in a hose and rudely denied it all telling me that my truck was too old. So I just a truck that s more than a certain age deserves to be destroyed in their opinion. I had to pay for that horrible experience in order to get my truck back to top it off.
OMG! Nightmare. Service department is horrible, you cant find your way around because no one will help you. Then after finally getting to service you have to deal with a service manager that is rude, ignorant and has no clue what he is talking about. I tell him one thing and he blabbers on about something COMPLETELY irrelevant, basically it went in one ear and right out the other. After finally getting my car serviced i get it back with lights STILL ON for service car and check oil filter and i can hear a rattle coming from the engine. Pop open my hood and there is oil all over the top of my engine. Overall i wasted my time and money dealing with boardwalk service! AVOID this place! you wont regret it.
Highly recommend you consider this place for your new car purchase, picked up a new Camaro SS from Oliver last week and was very pleased with the experience.
Obsoletely the worst service I have every experienced.. Disgusting customer service with a don't care attitude. Whoever "Wahl (sp?) is - supposably a manger? Should be sent on some sort of customer service training. He even canned Chrysler head office - "bunch of Idiots" and "I do not care what they say" or "what the their website says". I understand the dealership is family owned - well I would be extremely worried about my business if I had people like these on my payroll.
Awesome experience. Art and Ali really helped me out and made everything really smooth. I made it tough for them and thought I was nothing come out with a new car because of my credit score but they came through for me. The SparkEV is really fun car to drive and no more gas! Thanks Boardwalk Auto!
Edward, Ian and Ben were super helpful with helping me pick up a 2017 Volt. I came in with a price range in mind, and they helped to work with me to not only make sure I was walking away with said price but also making sure I didn't have to make any sacrifices with regards to what I wanted in a car. The whole experience has generally opened me up to GM vehicles as a whole again and would definitely purchase from Boardwalk Chevy the next time!
Dealt with Tim for 3 months off and on for my Bolt EV order and delivery. He was very accurate and honest during the entire scheduling and production process.
Don May was my sales guy who helped me get my 2016 Volt. He was patient, passionate, personable and fun. Due to the high demand for this awesome car I had to order one from the factory in Kentucky. He helped make this super easy. When the car finally arrived he took me through the 1,000s of cool features and capabilities. If there was anything he didn't know the folks at OnStar were able to answer within minutes from within the car. Very nice. I'll definitely be back.
The mechanic that worked on my van (Fernando) was awesome. I feel confident that he did a good job. He has worked there as a mechanic for years!
I did have a slight issue with the team that registered me and my vehicle in. First they quoted me $400 and later, when I brought my vehicle in, the price jumped to $1,800. But thanks to Fernando, the bill was reduced to $1,370.
I witnessed a conversation of two mechanics discussing a customer they had serviced - 2009 Rabbit. The work ended up taking 45 minutes to complete the work, but openly laughed at how the service representative charged the customer for 8-9 hours. He then finished the story by saying, 'It's easier when they're so old." That last statement could have been talking about an older model of car, or blatant discrimination against an elderly customer.
Easy drop-off for a online appointment, they keept me informed what has to be repaired, check they're website for coupons, saved me some money, covid safty messures are great and everything is done outside. Car was ready and washed when i picked it up. Great service
Awesome sales team! Would highly recommend if you're looking for helpful and efficient service. Tovy made sure I got a good deal on my Jeep. Plus my car was clean, full tank of gas, music was connected to my iPhone and gave me detailed instructions.
