I went in 3 days ago with a rash on my arm and back that was causing some irritation, burning and muscle pain. The muscle pain was my biggest concern, as i have never had a skin irritation that caused muscular discomfort. The nurse seemed pretty confident it was shingles, as was i. But the doctor came in and completely disregarded my concern that it was painful. When i told her that there was painful swelling in or around my lymph node in my arm pit near the rash, she began pushing hard into it and told me "It's not that swollen." Twice she asked me "so its itchy with no pain?" After i clearly stated several times that my reason for coming in was because of how painful it was. She ended up telling me to take benedryl, and that it was dermatitis, but couldnt explain the pain. I asked if we could treat for shingles, and she refused stating that she was taught all life-threatening rashes, and this was not one of them. She could not get me out of the room fast enough. Now, im at Nextcare with a Shingles diagnosis and a prescription for treatment. Thanks for wasting $400. I hope i never need your help in the future. Your dedication to taking care of people is laughable, and your empathy is non-existant. I felt like you didnt care about me or my concerns. That doctor saw "rash" on my intake form and made up her mind that i was wasting her time and disregarded the pertinant information required to make an appropriate diagnosis. Perhaps she thought her ego was being threatened.
If you can help it, go somewhere else.

Banner Thunderbird's ER contracts with doctors (No...

Banner Thunderbird's ER contracts with doctors (North Valley Emergency Specialists) that WILL take advantage of you financially and they are partially responsible for running a medical scam on our community. I've been to this ER twice in my life and both times after paying out ALL of my bills with Banner, I was soon hit with a surprise bill in the form of a collections letter. My credit has suffered greatly because of this. By now i've figured out the MO - they have you consent to seeing doctors that your insurance doesn't cover when you are signing in (while you are preoccupied with fear your safety/health); then, after your discharge (and this step is important) North Valley fails to mail you or notify you of any bills due; thus, when you finish paying any bills from the ER you think you're good, but no! North Valley is on the sidelines waiting to send your balance over to the Bureau of Medical Economics. They have harassed me out of about $2500+ over the past three years and want $500 more. The first time was fishy, but twice? AND you have an established pattern of taking advantage of your ER patients? Whoever is conspiring on this operation deserves for their souls to burn for eternity. I just want your bill collectors to stop harassing me and leave me alone so I can focus on school and surviving this pandemic. Basically, it seems like they'll f*ck over any patients they can for money. Pathetic.

/////////
review for North Valley Emergency Specialists

this place is predatory, unethical, and borderline a scam. I have been harassed by collectors for over a year now because of the deceitful practices between North Valley Emergency Specialists and Banner Thunderbird ER. to be clear - i had contacted Banner and paid out ALL of my bills (double and triple checked) only to be hit months later with a collections letter (they use Bureau of Medical Economics) because of these f*ckers. no bill, no contact from them prior. now that it's in collections it's conveniently impossible for me to contest.

how would i have contacted them to pay out any outstanding balances if i didn't even know i was treated by one of their doctors in the ER? this is the second time this happened to me at Banner (you sign away your right to see doctors within your insurance when you sign in; literally taking advantage of people who are just seeking emergency care) and my credit is screwed because of them. next time i think i'm very ill or dying i'll just stick it out and hope i don't die i guess!! I am a college student who is orphaned so in all seriousness - F*CK YOU NORTH VALLEY. you're all jokes and sad excuses of "medical professionals"

Was a great hospital and had good experiences in the past. But in recent months has taken a nose dive in patient care and services. Actually had to leave Banner and go to John C. Lincoln hospital because my wife was continually past over by people who came in after her Making her wait while everyone else got right in and seen.

Update:I had my baby here on 3/19/19 and I regret it each day she has to stay here. My baby is still admitted after I myself has been discharged after my CSECTION. There are absolutely no attempts to make parents comfortable as there child stays in the NICU. As her condition progressed her comfortability level decreased significantly as far as parental visitation is concerned. Being moved to "CCN" Made for a very stressful time. There is absolutely no accommodations for parents to both visit at one time as the space is the size of a broom closet and then there are 4 babies occupying that small space. So, trying to stay with my baby overnight was nearly impossible. There are no parent restrooms to use we must leave the entire NICU unit to use the pubic restroom. Imagine how hard and uncomfortable that could be for a mother who just had a C-section days ago. This is by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had after giving birth. I would never suggest this hospital and had I known these things before would have never chosen this hospital.

Feeling a little down this morning . This is probably the WORST hospital I've ever given birth in (ThisTbeing my 6th) FOOD IS DISGUSTING, It is just old and not very comfortable at all....only upside is THEY TIED MY TUBES (My nurses were amazing as well)... .....So, I'll be discharged today and of course baby has to stay ....I was under the impression she would stay in the room she was in but NOPE....she has been moved to a shared curtain area...although that means she is doing better it makes for a very uncomfortable stay for me as her parent since I will no longer be a patient... This sleeping in a chair business will be a real challenge but I have ZERO INTENTIONS on leaving my baby. I'ma just do what I gotta do and pray my body takes it easy on me. They are NOT ACCOMMODATING to parent with babies in the NICU who have had csections and will be breast feeding as well very much AT ALL! SMH Oh well....if I could comfortably move my baby for the rest of her stay I absolutely would.

When I had my surgery there they put me in a room that look like a storage room. It was crowded with all types of equipment surrounding me and dirty with blood on the floor. That's the room I woke up to. I wasn't really able to speak being that my surgery was done through my neck.. so I text my daughter in law and she and my son came over immediately and saw it for themselves. My daughter-in-law raise all kinds of hell, then I was placed into a nice room with some proper care even though my physical therapy didn't show up until 2 days before I was discharged. And she herself stated that they should have requested her soon after my surgery. Understand that I was there for 11 days.

The worst experience I ve ever had at a hospital. I wouldn t take my dog there. I was told the wait time was 6 hours. I understand being busy but 6 hours? Really? I went to the emergency room because I felt I had a serious emergency, and I was treated like I didn t matter. There were so many people there it was unbelievable. It was standing room only. I was very rudely told to move and go sit down by a nurse. When I said there were no chairs available, I was told to go find one. After an hour and a half of waiting, in excruciating pain, I decided to go be treated at a different hospital where I would actually be seen by people who care. Will not be returning.

A nurse told me to "kill yourself". This is by far the worst hospital ever. I was treated as if they wanted me to get worse not better! I was ignored, treated horribly, and ripped off. An ekg is $500 extra. So for a RN or MD to look at a screen for one minute they charge $500. What a rip off. These people are no good!

I'm 34 weeks pregnant having contractions they tried to stop them which did not work 4 days later still here having contractions haven't been checked. Takes forever for a nurse to come see you then they tell you well doctors don't like to talk to doctors that's why it takes so long . I have been in pain and now all I want to do is go home to sleep haven't been to sleep in 36 hr and just to think I have to come back here when my doctor is ready to deliver my baby I'm not sure if I want to . The elevators are so hot it's uncomfortable when you have to keep going down for ultrasounds. Takes forever to get transport to get to you needs more staff all around . Food was ok not the best but not to bad . House keeping only came in twice and only took out the trash never moped or anything bed sheets haven't been changed in over 4 days .

Here's a update Thursday night come in doctor said let's have baby then gets called away then night doctor comes in s says no after I'm already to go In to the or then to top it off I'm in a room with no air it's hot and I'm having contractions I'm ready to walk out this place is a joke

I want to thank the OBTriage for being patient, professional and prompt to care for my pregnant adult daughter with her early labor concerns. They actually deserve 5 stars. The nurse was very sweet and did everything she could to make her comfortable. Fortunately, the baby is fine. But unfortuntely, my daughter was transfered to the emergency room for other medical issues. It was disgusting. The waiting room was filled with ill people complaing about the length of time they had been waiting. There was trash everywhere, spilled drinks on the floor. While the so called nurse and security person ate laughed and chit chatted about god knows what right in front of us. It was terrible. It took an hour just to be checked in by one the most rude nurses ive ever met. I thought if its like this out here i can only imagiine what was going on behind those doors. We finally gave up and just left. Honestly, if my daughters Ob was not affiliated with this hospital I would never step back in there. And she definetly would not have her baby in that place.

Entered ER hypoxic and very very sick . In hospital for 6 days in with fungal double pneumonia....
EVERY single person that I dealt with had the utmost professionalism and patient care as their priority. I never have been so well taken care of.....EVER...

From the cleaning crew to the person(s) delivering my meals...ALWAYS Courteous, attentive, and professional.

Thank you is NOT a big enough term for the gratitude I have for the 3 south team of nurses and assistants. I am truly and wholly impressed. The amount of care given enabled me to not worry about anything other than my recovery.

The Respriatory technicians were some of the most professional people I have ever met. EVER.... EACH and everyone went above and beyond during EVERY interaction (every 4 hours) to ensure my comfort and answer any questions I had. Burt in ER gave me my life back, NO BS. To not be able to breathe at all was a truly scary situation. He continually checked on me to guarantee I was recovering properly. That is enormous when in this type of situation...
Once inpatient, Mike was especially knowledgeable and desired to help me understand my new norm. He even made a suggestion to my Dr helping expedite my recovery while ebbing much of the discomfort from my issue. You don't get that level of dedication every day!

My only critique is more about dealing with billing situations while still freaking out being in the ER. Asking for full payments and other things in the middle of a personal crisis sucked but am unsure how to resolve. I understand the need but it could be handled at a different time.
Outside of that hiccup TOP NOTCH!
Wish I could vote it 10 stars

ER staff is fast and thorough. I spoke with my physician about my symptoms and she referred me to the Banner Thunderbird ER. They tested everything that could be tested, spoke to my physician, and I was admitted. The food was the very best food I've ever had in a hospital, and my private room even had a shower. The hospitalist was very knowledgable and I saw many specialists before I was discharged with lots of written information about my illness and referrals to specialists where I could continue my treatment.
The entire staff made me feel as though my care was a priority for them. All of my questions were answered pomptly by people who wanted the best for me. There was a clear plan laid out for my future care and they explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner. Banner Thunderbird will be my first choice of hospitals in the future.

We re going on 58 days spent at Banner Thunderbird, with many more to go (early birth and our micro preemie has been in the NICU). I spend anywhere from 10-18 hours a day every day at Banner. We ve had nothing but a great experience. From spending 8 days in the labor and delivery/antepartum wing to the last 50 in the NICU. The staff is absolutely wonderful - so helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and personable. We are very confident in their medical capabilities and greatly trust the decisions being made with our daughters medical care. Thanks Banner and staff!

This is the most unsanitary hospital I ve ever see...

This is the most unsanitary hospital I ve ever seen! I was taken to the hospital due to having signs of a stroke. I was left in the waiting room for upwards of an hour in a dirty lobby (unknown liquid on the floor, trash, etc) before being taken back. When I was finally placed in a room, their was a container with urine on the medical tray that is used to prepare IVs with, blood spots on the floor, and dirt along the edges of the wall. When my husband complained initially about the state of the room, the nurse apologized and took the urine container but did not take me to a clean room. I was being treated in that room for about 3 hours before a person in charge apologized and admitted that they were running behind with cleaning that night and offered to move me to a clean room. What s the point then? I ve already been exposed to whatever the previous patient(s) had!

This hospital was extremely remiss and negligent and their duties, along with the home health nurse who contacted EMS for transport!! My best friend was visited by her home health nurse yesterday afternoon. My friend lives with her sister in her sister's home. My friend always insists het sister leaves when she sees the nurse, so she went out to her patio then came back inside to bathe. When her sister finished bathing the nurse was still there, so my friend's sister went to visit a neighbor until the nurse left. At some point during that time the nurse called for emergency transport for my friend, but NEVER attempted to call or licate my friend's sister (whose vehicle was still at the home). Nor did the nurse attempt to call her! My friend's sister has been worried sick for roughly 16 or 17 hours. When the nurse car was gone she could not find my friend (her sister) anywhere. Thought maybe she called for a ride. But she continued looking and trying to call with no answer! My friend's son came over and attempted to help locate his mother. She did not answer her cell phone! They contacted the police and close friends and family. None of us heard from my friend nor saw her. They contacted the police who also did not know where she was. Finally they began calling hospitals and found out she was being held in Banner Thunderbird ER for transport to HonorHealth Deer Valley! It's absolutely inexcusable!

I was in the Emergency room on Saturday, November ...

I was in the Emergency room on Saturday, November 7, 2015 for 6 HOURS!!! I had taken a pregnancy test two days prior and it came back positive. I began heavily bleeding Saturday morning, with unbelievable amounts of pain (which i am still experiencing). I had gone in, was checked in, and sat in the waiting area for over an HOUR before FINALLY getting called back. When they brought me back, the nurses aid set me in a chair in the hallway of the orange zone, and told me i would have to sit there until they could determine whether or not i need a room. I sat in the chair for 45 mins with no attention. My pain got so bad to the point where i was bawling my eyes out. Immediately after i started crying someone came up and asked if i could pee in a cup. I told him no, and he asked why i was crying. I told him im in pain and he said "so you cant get up to pee?" Like seriously?!
So they finally get me in a room after 20 mins of crying my eyes out, and asked me again to give a urine sample. I gave just enough urine to fill two viles up. I WATCHED her fill the TWO viles and throw the cup away. Those viles sat there, on the cabinet, and never left my room. 2 hours later, the PA comes in and said he is doing a pap/pelvic exam, that they ran my urine for a Pregnancy test ( A TOTAL LIE, THE URINE NEVER LEFT MY ROOM!!) and infection, and it came up negative. They didnt do an ultrasound, no blood draw, nothing!!! Sent me home witb a script of painkillers and told me they dont know whats wrong with me. I PLAN TO FILE A LAWSUIT!!!!! I have a witness that can testify that they didnt do a DAMN thing for me! Expect a call from my lawyer.

I don't know what kind of new staff was working today. My sister who is diagnosed with Lupus has been coming here for a long time. Always treated kindly until today. She has been having kidney problems and tonsillitis. She was in a lot of pain. They accused her of trying to get pain meds and that they were going to flag her. Is this medical staff not aware that PEOPLE WITH LUPUS DEAL WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS CONSTANTLY? By the way my sister was not even asking for pain medication. This is a horrible way to treat anyone. If you can't be compassionate and actually read the documents of what your patient is dealing with, DONT BE A DOCTOR!

The service I received there was awesome what I am complaining about is their billing department. This is a fair warning that they WILL send you to collections even though they never sent you a bill or contacted you about your medical bill but they claim that they sent it out multiple times. Not once did I receive anything from them about a bill. All I have to say to your billing department .

I am absolutely appauled by this hospital! My father who has congenital heart failure has been waiting for over 4 hours to be seen with chest pains , problems breathing, and swelling! When does my father take precedence when he collapses on the floor? Absolutely unacceptable. To think I had my sister take him to this hospital because they have an excellent cardiac unit and this is how my father with congenital heart failure is treated! Last time we ever bring any of our family members to this hospital!

Please NEVER go here for psychiatric care. The unit is a volunteer work unit, and it shows in the quality of care from your staff. The RN's are okay, but the technicians are absolutely horrible. My mom was admitted to banner thunderbird a couple...

My mom was admitted to banner thunderbird a couple months ago and overall the experience was non exceptional. The only reason they are getting a good rating is because of the case manager Jodi. We told the doctor and nurse that we had issues keeping up with my moms medication and all her appointments and neither of them seemed like they did anything or was even remotely interested. Jodi came in, we told her that i didn't have a car and so couldn't get to every appointment and also that my mom had a hard time paying for her insulin so sometimes she goes without it. 30 minutes later jodi came back with some paper that she said we can fill out to help with the cost of the medication. We filled out the paper work but it needed to be signed by a doctor so she called my moms pcp, faxed it over there, got it back, helped me get all the documents needed and mailed it in for us. Shortly after that we got a call from our pcp office saying my moms insulin was delivered there and it was free. She also gave me 2 services in glendale that would help help with taxi cost and a bus that was only 10cent. We make every doctors appointment now and I have not had to take my mom to the hospital in 2 months. It was a big stress reliever getting those two things. The rest of our experience was poor but Jodi took the time to not just listen to me but help. As for the doctors they need to learn some people skills and I would encourage banner to provide some training or something.

My toddler fell off a swing and busted open his head. When I got to the ER I was terrified, crying and shaking holding my bleeding 21 month old. They got me back right away, calmed me down and took special care of my son. When they had to clean out the wound, my son screamed and my mommy tears were flowing...they made sure we were both ok at all times. They also tended to my 6 year old, made sure he understood everything was ok..got him crayons and paper, Patched up my youngest son and got us in and out. Thank you pediatric ER staff!

Cannot wait to start again. If you need behavioral help, this is the place to get yourself on the road to everlasting recovery!!

DON T go to Banner. They contract with physician groups that will not accept your insurance and bill you for the full amount. I have BCBS and their adjustment stated I only had to pay $156. The emergency physician group will not accept that and is billing me $696. They take advantage of Az not having legislation in place making it illegal to balance bill. Banner takes advantage of its patient s in need of emergency care.

Horrible. My son had RSV and they sent us home after just a few hours. When we returned later that day because his symptoms worsened, we literally had to beg to get him oxygen. The doctors here genuinely do not care about their patients. Also the "highly trained professionals" here put his leads on backwards. So the monitor was reading that he was going into cardiac arrest. An unnecessary amount of stress coming from a place full of people you're supposed to trust. And on one other note, it took over an hour of waiting in line to check in as there was only one woman working registration. And she kept leaving

Horrible experience with the doctors. Some of the nurses are fantastic and have the heart to care for people. I was in t-bird in early December and again Christmas day and day after. Was admitted after seeing th ER staff regarding a cellulitis issue. The staff number o e concern is not the patient but collecting the copay. The staff doctors would not listen to the issues and diagnosed and caused an issue on my leg and when I asked to speak to administration I was ignored and told to talk to a nurse supervisor. Horrible experience and I have dealt with this hospital for 30 years. My kids were born here and the way they treat patients with the lack of respect and compassion has made it to where I will NEVER recommend or come to this hospital again. I would have gotten better care at a veterinarian clinic!

He hasn't had it since this morning and it's already 9pm.. I know this because he can only text me.. because he can't speak with his jaw wired shut and in pain as well. And just go to a different hospital next time no matter what to come and take your money they have a 2.6 rating for a reason, as I continue my stay at Thunderbird hospital hopefully I'll be able to go home today I have run into an attendant that runs the nursing station on TowerA 1st floor I keep on running into issues you know I called the front desk and they don't send my messages to my nurse and it's important that my messages get to my nurse and I was told by several of my nurses that the message was not delivered to them and that she never got the message that I sent out and it's important that I get my medication before I eat my meal that's the way they want to do it and my meal will get cold waiting for the front desk to transfer my messages to my nurse I find it call the front desk and ask the front desk for his name he told me it was Jacob I don't know if that's true or not but that's what he told me and I don't feel Jacob is on my side I feel that Jacob is not transferring my messages when I asked him to that's why my food gets cold before my nurse gets the message that I need my medication I don't know how many other people run into this problem and I do not know or want this problem to be somebody else's problem a front desk Clark that answers calls for the nurses should send the message to the nurse as soon as they get it they have the little talking things that they can send messages to everybody from everywhere I mean it's like a little tricorder and people talk to each other across the hospital and that's a great way to send a message but according or what the front desk is doing is not sending the messages to the nurses and one day somebody God forbid it's going to send a message out to the front desk and I hope that Jacob does not answer it because he will not send it out and something might happen to you that patient while he is waiting for Jacob to transfer that message to the nurse my case in point it's a simple thing it's just medication and I will get it eventually I just don't want my food to get cold and it does every time

Worst experience ever. My mother needed to use the restroom and I kept calling for a nurse and they would just cancel the call. I had to walk out where the nurses are and they're just hanging out and they all looked at me weird. I made one walk back to the room with me "Amanda" and she was really rude. I asked her if she could update me on my moms results and she had no clue what I was talking about, she asked me if I knew anything. The emergency part of the hospital sucks and it's very unprofessional. I hate this hospital, it's not the first time something like this happens.

My mother came into your hospital on Saturday with increased weakness and severe pain after surgery to remover a cancerous tumor from her colon earlier in the week. I was extremely disappointed that the only thing your hospital did was give her hydrocodone for the pain. No blood work, no tests, nothing. She was treated like a number.

I've felt horrible for months, came in expecting a long lobby wait, but surprisingly there were two nurses by the door checking vitals before registration. This is new to my knowledge, but it's a great idea and should be implemented in all emergency rooms. I was taken back immediately and helped right away which I am very thankful for as my problem is worse than I thought. Every staff member has been very kind so far and I'll be sad to go when I eventually get discharged, but I look forward to getting well and getting back to my life and family and friends which thanks to the wonderful staff I'll be able to do soon.

I dont remember all of the nurses drs and staff that helped us these last 48 hrs but they were all fantastic. One person did stand out above the pack, Misty in the storks nest! When I was there with my newborn son she and I spoke about people, life, babys, and tattoos. I can genuinely tell she cares about her job and loves what she does. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy. You really made an impression on me and I wish you all the best!!!! Thank you everyone

Banner Thunderbird psychiatric ER is despicable. I...

Banner Thunderbird psychiatric ER is despicable. I was verbally abused my several of the BHT techs by treating me with physical restraints just for walking in the hallway. They denied me phone access for over 6 hours. It wasn't until I was hysterical that they allowed me to use the phone and only for 3 minutes before they ripped it out of my hand and said times up. The psychiatric therapist named "Angel" said that I needed inpatient treatment. I told him that I was willing to be voluntary in the hospital as this is how I entered to the facility. I told him my preferred hospitals if they had to transfer me to another psychiatric hospital but said I was willing to go to any. He contacted my mental health treatment team and lied to them telling them that I manipulative and defiant as well as denying voluntary treatment and persistently demanded to have me petitioned or involuntarily hospitalized even though my treatment team did not feel that this was necessary or even that I met any of the criteria. He lied to me, to my husband and my treatment team and told me that "my mental health symptoms were not appropriate for this hospital" Ohhh...You mean the symptoms of manipulation and defiance that you made up in order to control me. It sounded like the reverse was true that in fact he was trying to manipulate me and my treatment team into petitioning me. I was scared, unable to contact my husband and fearful of more mental abuse. I was transferred to UPC downtown the next day involuntarily by the police and was later that day released because the UPC psychiatrist said the petition was not substantiated. How could a person like Angel give an oath to do no harm and to protect and care for his patients and then abuse his power willfully and maliciously to cause harm? I was betrayed and it was done when I was the most vulnerable. This hospital is absolutely disgusting and I intend on reporting the abuse not only to the hospital but the department of health and human services. Thanks Banner for contributing to my PTSD and encouraging me to never reach out again to ask for help when I am in mental health crisis.

Horrible wait. There are only 3 other patients in the er waiting room and I've been waiting over 2 hours, and none of the people in front of me have been called. The wait has been horrible every time I've came compared to other hospitals. Nobody here cares about the patients. Every time I've came the staff has a horrible attitude.

This place has no compassion for people in really big pain. They treat you like a drugseaker even though they see you in severe pain. I will try to stay away from this place. If this place is a representative of banner then I with not be going to other banner facilities.

Takes multiple Emergency room visits for them to figure out what's wrong. Took 3 visits for them to finally admit me for pancreatitis! 3 more visits for them to find another infection after a miscarriage that they didn't care about at all. Fake smiles. Horrible PA'S hardly ever get a actual certified DR. Go some where else if you can!!

I was in extreme crisis upon arrival at Thunderbird Samaritan Banner. The doors to the crisis center were locked. I wandered through another entrance hyper ventilating and unable speak, There were two staff women sitting behind the HELP DESK that did nothing to help me at all. I just kept wandering around the hallway in obvious distress until a patient(?), visitor (?) took my hand and tried to get me help in the emergency room. The security person just snapped at us to step back. The man/visitor actually helped me to breathe and walk and calm down enough to speak. Not one staff member at this hospital (and there were ample staff) tried to help. But a complete stranger did. Shame on all those staff that came into contact with us and did nothing to help.

If I could give it zero stars I WOULD! The last 2 times I've "had" to go there were absolute HELL! This may sound extreme, but I've made my loves one's promise to NEVER take me there even if I'm on my death bed. Plz do not respond to me post that you want me to email your customer service department like you have to the other poor people that have complained on here. I was treated so bad that nothing is worth dealing with this establishment ever again. SAVE YOUR FAMILY THE TORTURE & GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I only wish that I would have listened to the MANY people who said stay away from there.

Worst hospital to work for they slave drive you ex...

Worst hospital to work for they slave drive you expecting you to do a lot of work in little time. everyone is short staffed nurses, evs, cafeteria, trash, CnAs. They are to busy monopolizing every hospital instead of fixing the issues they already have. They would rather brush off the issues then fix them. Nurses are rude and try to get everyone in trouble when all they do is gossip, look up the vacation they want to go on next and on the computer doing stuff they dont need to be doing then spending time with the patients or stripping the rooms and doing their jobs. They never get told to mind their own business or take it to the manger. Manuela is always trying to get people fired or have them quit . alot of the rooms are never cleaned correctly because they always want a room cleaned stat even when it doesn't need to be, and 1st shift is the worst. Jobs are suppose to make you feel like your part of a family but everyone here makes you feel worthless nothing is ever good enough.

I of all people, as school teacher, understand that COVID-restrictions are important. What I don t understand as a mother, or as a half decent human being, why Banner has now made the decision to stop allowing guest trays for meals. My daughter just had a baby and she was able to order from the cafe with no problem, but each time my poor son in law tried to order (who was the only person allowed in the room anyway) he was denied any attempt to even PAY for his own food from the cafeteria, he was denied. He was also restricted from leaving more than once a day from their room. So he can either leave his wife attempting to recover from labor with an newborn infant, to buy all of his meals at once from an outside source, or just skip out on eating all together. As if being a new parent wasn t stressful enough. I feel bad for the poor nurses who work here, because from what I heard, they will go to any length to make sure to provide the care needed to all their patients. They are just stuck working for a company that only cares about profits and uses COVID to mask their greed and lack of morals.

Waited almost 4 1/2 hours to see a doctor in the ER with a family member with server headaches and nausea. When a PA finally arrived and order the necessary things over another hour passed by with no medical attention. I could hear threw the curtain the nursing staff gossiping and planning there lunches. I simply asked for some tissue and 45 minutes went by before I got some out of the bathroom. I am a military Veteran and know how triage works and have family in the medical field. I do not think any of the medical staff would neglect there own family members or loves in this fashion. Very disappointed

I have been in OB Triage a few times now after being told to come. I will be speaking with my doctor about what a waste of time it is. The nurses are rude and dismissive. They make you feel as if you re an inconvenience. You advise them of your symptoms and they do not respond. They monitor you and send you home even with the symptoms being unresolved. Once I went and was advised I could go wait in the ER to get more testing. Isn t that why I came to OB Triage? The ER initially sent me to Triage. I could have stayed home. Each time I have been placed in a room there has been someone else s urine cup or hat in the toilet, gloves on the floor, trash, etc. When you advise the nurses they leave it there with the previous patients information on the sample cup. Makes me concerned for my personal information.

In regards to my recent visit with my 5year old we went to Banner Hospital on Thunderbird Rd. In Glendale on Saturday September 28th. Due to my child having a fever up to 103.5 prior to arrival, once we got into our room and the Dr. had came, she was rude from the moment she walked in. The worse attitude anyone could get from a Dr. on a First visit. It was the worse experience we ve ever had at this location.
We as parents are told to bring our children to the ER if they have a fever that goes up to 104. My child has had this happen for the past 4 days and the Dr refused to check her because she was already on antibiotics due to Impetigo and said it would make no sense to check her for anything when she already has medication and was bringing to argue with me about it in which it made me give the same energy back to her which then led her to finally say ok we ll check her. It shouldn t have to take a parent to put their foot down with a Dr. we come to the hospital because we need a Doctors help, not to get belittled.
I will never return to this hospital even if my life depended on it. Nor will I refer anyone to visit this hospital.
