Nice place, staff stayed open a little past office...
Nice place, staff stayed open a little past office closing so I could get a room.
Nice place, staff stayed open a little past office closing so I could get a room.
I was in the beginning portion of a 36-day road trip, and when I got to Jackson things had already gotten kinda rough. I had forgotten my laptop charging cord and had cracked the screen to my phone before I left. I decided not to worry about getting the screen replaced since it still worked just fine and the screen was still perfectly viewable, but I didn't think about how that would make it so that the phone was no longer waterproof. Not realizing this, I took the phone into String Lake in the Tetons which was the beginning of that phone's end. When I arrived at Flat Creek Inn, I was pretty stressed since my phone was my navigator, camera, music, email etc etc etc. The staff did everything they could to help me out offering ideas of how to deal with the water damage to my phone, letting me use their wifi with the bit of battery that I still had left on my laptop so that I could map my route and write in down on paper. They also let me use their phone to call people that I was meeting up with including my step-Dad who's hotel room I was headed to that night in Brigham City, UT, and it was great to let him know that I was running several hours late and might be later if I got lost. To boot they also had the rice that I put into a ziplock bag with my phone to begin the water removal process which ended up being successful enough after another day or so to get that phone to last me until it's replacement arrived. I also used their tire air pump to blow into the holes and cracks of the phone which was better than my moist human breath.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FLATT CREEK IN STAFF!!!
We had a great stay here. Clean rooms and attentive staff. Will definitely stay again.
I have stayed at this Inn on numerous occasions. I love the place. My first stay there was 17 years ago. Then again a couple of years later when I spend almost an entire month there. I returned recently and the rooms have been upgraded and the staff is wonderful. I wanted to extend my visit due to the weather and they did everything they could to accommodate me even though they had a full house. I highly recommend this Inn. Also when I walked in the room it was so clean and nicely set up. Even the towels were folded like a five star hotel. Love it.
The rooms were incredibly expensive for such a small area. The trim appeared to be unstained. The water pressure in the showers was abysmal.
I have stayed at Flat Creek before. I arrived quite late (11 p.m.) and left early the next morning. I had no trouble finding my room location and a key (left in a mailbox next to the office). Room, as before was clean, comfortable, quiet, very good value for the money in Jackson. Warning: if there is no one in the office to answer the telephone, or it is busy, there is no way to leave a message. Received a prompt response to an e-mail query. The office closes at 5:30 in winter.
This hotel is in a perfect location. It s less than 10 minutes north from everything Jackson has to offer and just south of Grand Teton National Park. It s also directly across from the National Elk Refuge, which has a trail that many people were walking or biking on. The Flat Creek Inn has their own gas station and convenient store, which makes life a little easier. I gave this place 4 stars since the beds were a little stiff and you could hear people walking around if you were on the first floor. I would gladly stay here again though!
Worst mattress I ever tried to sleep on and I tried both. Marriott prices, Motel 3 accomodations. Unfortunately we booked for 3 nights. Ownership certainly not re-investing huge profits in mattresses. Will say it was reasonably clean and decent location. Will NOT be back.
The views from this hotel are great. From your window, you see the hill/mountain side. However, unlike other hotels it isn't close enough to the main part of town to be in walking distance so you'll need to drive back and fight for a parking spot and the traffic. When we got checked in at the hotel, our room was okay (minus a light that one person in our party thought we got fixed but later started flickering again) but the DirectTV didn't work until we asked the front desk to fix. While there was no breakfast, they did allow you to have free coffee from their store. We did know that this was what we were getting, but for the price that this hotel cost, it was not very impressive.
I loved this place. Staff are amazing and kind. Very clean. Not huge but I felt it was perfect for us. 4 mom, dad and 2 daughters! Really appreciated their folks and the little store. Really close to Downtown Jackson and really close to Teton!
The combination of lodging, convience store and fuel station is a perfect combination for visiting the area. The rooms are comfortable, clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and helpfull.
We loved our week stay. Glorious views. Close to town. Store on premises. Very comfortable and quiet.
We chose to stay here due to proximity to Grand Teton N.P because we were about to embark on a 3 night backpacking trip in the park and wanted some stress free comfort prior to that. Room was about 85 degrees at 7 pm (nearing end of August). Air conditioning was broken. Front desk worker said they'd try and fix it "when they have time" and advises me to open the window because it gets cool enough at night. Screen on window is bent / not covering window. Fiance is not happy with highway noise / lack of security due to window opening onto common walkway. All other hotels are booked by this point it's past 9 PM and all other hotels (under $300) are booked and we are hot and crabby, and still nothing from the front desk.
"King" bed is two twin beds pushed together with a mattress topper but was still very firm.
Location is ideal, but I find the room condition / service to be very much lacking for the price.
I'm wishing that I had either camped in Grand Teton N.P. or went a little further into town for a nicer establishment with less hassle.
I would not recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing night.
Nice little shopping Mart, had everything we needed.
Stayed here several times. Great location and views! We have a kitchen in our room so we can prepare our own food. Nice soft linens and towels. And pet friendly!
I really liked the hotel. It had a wonderful view, it was very clean and the people that work there are very kind and happy. :)
This motel is right off the highway; but surprisingly the noise was not bad. They are nice and clean, conveniently located with a gas station and mini mart next to them. They have good A/C and the place was quiet. I did not hear the neighbors at all.
Stayed at Flat Creek 4 nights. No maid service the entire stay. If you needed anything you had to find it yourself. Water pressure was so low you had to run around in the shower to get wet. Their accommodations were cut but their prices sure weren t. I won t come back here and I would not recommend this motel to anyone.
Clean rooms. No free breakfast, and located a ways out of town.
It was wonderful. The rooms were at a decent price. You had a great view and service here was amazing.
Flat creek inn is amazing for the price. We had cathedral ceilings, a comfortable bed, and could not hear our neighbors. I would highly recommend this inn.
The cashier was very friendly... he allowed me to use their water hose to fill up my trailer tank!
I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and was pleasantly surprised by its value. It exceeded my expectations. My room was clean, didn't have the typical budget hotel aroma, and had lots of free goodies. Earplugs, hot chocolate, extra cups, bottled water etc. The gas station next door was convenient for last minute snacks. The blinds kept the room nice and dark, made it great for sleeping in. View from front door was beautiful.
Loved the view of the elk, and room was impressively clean.
Completely dropped the ball on my reservation and that of my sister-in-law. Fortunately, the manager made good, but after we showed him our written confirmation. Nice location, friendly staff, great view and the best all you want all day hotel coffee and tea. Only 2 miles from downtown Jackson.
Rooms are clean, the walls are kind of thin, we could hear the people next door blowing their nose so be careful what you say, other than that nice.
Very good place to stay -- away from the crowds (and prices) in Jackson. Convenient, just off the main road from the Tetons to Jackson. Not fancy but clean with comfortable beds and a good shower. Convenient parking. Friendly check-in and easy check-out. A good place to stay.
A great value for its location. You are a quick jaunt away from the bustle of Jackson and also near the airport. Its also in a great spot for those making trips up to Teton and Yellowstone Parks. Would recommend!
Clean rooms, great price and in the middle of everything along with a helpful staff!
Abby is a great hostess! Quaint facility with great service!
Stayed here for a Teton climbing trip. Perfect for what we needed!
Room with a beautiful view. Very close to a fuel station.Clean and tidy. Disappointed they did not offer free breakfast.
MY favorite thing about the hotel is that it is just outside of town. The traffic is horrible in town, and the parking is even worse. So being able to avoid all of that by staying in a huge hotel 2 minutes outside of Jackson is the best thing you can do to avoid a stressful vacation. The view is amazing, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Ill be staying here again for sure.
Rooms were nice and clean. Hosts were friendly. Great place.
I didn't stay at the Inn but I stopped at the store on my way through town. It's a good small town general store.
Our car broke down on the Teton Pass on a Sunday evening as we were driving through WY back to Denver, CO. After our car was towed into town, we worried about where we would stay. We were so fortunate that the Flat Creek Inn had a couple of rooms left- they took us right in (without an inflated last minute rate) and gave us an extra big room for our family. We greatly appreciated their genuine concern for our unfortunate car mishap, they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. And they allowed us to check out a little bit later (without an extra charge) because our car wasn't fixed until almost noon. We were so grateful for their excellent customer service, we loved the cleanliness of the room, the friendly and professional staff, and all the extras the room had available for our convenience. Thank you thank you Flat Creek Inn for taking care of us Coloradans! :)
A very courteous staff clean rooms excellent View very enjoyable.
Great service at the counter! Wonderfully homey feel in the room. And the view in the morning was great!
They charge $3.499 per gallon on fuel, where everyone else charges $3.16. Better to stay at Sassy Moose and get free homemade breakfast every morning
It's spectacular, the employees are very attentive. Very cozy and quiet.
A Crappy bed and an unclean bathroom was my experience. You can get a cheaper and better place closer to downtown Jackson.
We stayed here last week for two days.
The young man in reception when we checked in was very friendly. We arrived early and only one of our rooms was available. He promised us that is soon as the other room became available he would let us know. We put all of her luggage in one room and a few minutes later received a call that the other room was ready!
He gave us a recommendation for someplace to grab lunch and off we went.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The website provided recommendations for dinner, and some hikes.
We took the recommendation for one of the hikes and it was fabulous, and had a nice conversation with a gentleman at the front desk after the hike. He told us that he was the one who had recommended it.
I guess the only negative comment that I can make and it s a small one, is that there was a fair amount of road noise, but after a long day of hiking that was pretty easy to overlook.
The staff here at flat creek in made me feel like family! Great rooms and an even better location!
My husbands car had a tire issue and Kyle and his staff were quick to offer their help. Kyle went above and beyond for us. We are so grateful. Flat Creek is a friendly and helpful stop in Jackson :-)
It is a great 2* hotel. Dont expect wonders, but it has all basic amenties:
- CLEAN rooms
- Comfortable Beds
- Good Showers
- Reasonably quiet AC
- Good Wifi
They do have free coffee/hot chocolate in room. I would have also liked to have tea bags in the room.
Location is a couple of miles after Jackson. So I ended up going back to Jackson for breakfast every day before going back to Grand Tetons/Yellow Stone.
Overall.. quite good. Would consider staying there again.
This motel has the most incredible view of any motel I've ever stayed at. It is great to be near Jackson but not in Jackson, and it sure is wonderful having a convenience store that is basically part of the motel. This motel has its quirks but it is a great bargain.
Great location close to Jackson, 15 minutes from Teton Village, 2miles from downtown Jackson. They pointed us to some good food joints, Free breakfast snacks, free coffee, clean room every day. They run a well stocked convenient store and cheap gas right outside the motel. Everyone was super friendly even the mule deer out front.
Among the worst motels in my extensive travel experience. Price was too high for the poor quality. The outdated room got loud noise from both the road and people upstairs. Door could not lock tight so insects could get in. The manager tried to charge me for 3 nights for my 2 nights advanced booking. The most i can give is one star only for the location and beautiful view.
Stayed in the Flat Creek Inn for a few days while hiking in Grand Teton National Park. It is very close to the airport, Jackson, and the park. It isn't anything super special, but it is clean, comfortable, quiet, secure, and well priced. The staff was all nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there very much.
This is a very nice place! Stayed in a deluxe room for a couple of nights. It was clean and tidy, very cosy, quiet. On the picture you can see one of the local supervisors that greeted us while parking. The rest of the staff was nice as well. The spot is right by the Elk Refuge, has a good view and gorgeous sunrises! I actually enjoyed being a bit out of town. Thanks!
Cozy, reminiscent of other country cabins we have stayed in, lovely view, convenient. Very clean.
Arrived at quarter to midnight and young lady in office was very gracious and kind. Thank You , see you in 2017.
I loved the location and staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall the room was smaller than anticipated but was nicely stocked with necessities. Unfortunately I found that the bathroom and shower needed much better cleaning (there were prior guests hairs) and overall the room needs updating (the lightbulb cover was missing in bathroom). The mattresses were old and sunk in the middle. Yet the bed linens were very clean. I hope this Inn can improve. I also find the prices for lodging in Jackson unreasonably high, especially for value offered.
The hotel was decent and the view was amazing!! One room we had ended up having issues with the AC, but we let Tanner know and he took care of it no problem! Wonderful staff and for a great price! Will definitely stay there again if in the area.
Clean and comfortable. Great place for quick overnights on a budget.
We enjoyed our recent stay at the Flat Creek Inn. Our room was very clean and the staff was very kind and friendly. I loved the convenience of having a gas station close by. It s the perfect distance from town just a few minutes away but you get more of the country feel. The view from the front is absolutely beautiful overlooking the elk refuge and the mountains. I think the Jackson Hole area is one of the prettiest places on earth. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely come back again. Would definitely recommend.
It is a great place and plus my mom used to work there so I have no hard feelings
Basic hotel, outdated and not very clean. Small room and bathroom.
Noisy because close to the road.
For $ 215 there is no breakfast.
This is theft.
Old and dirty motel. Small room and bathroom.
Closed to the road, very noisy.
No breakfast for the price, it's robbery.
Not quite as described. The rooms with a "fully stocked" kitchenette.....well if you call no spoons and an old pot with mold "fully stocked" then I suppose it is. When I asked for more kitchen equipment, I was handed a box of pots and pans from a rummage sale.....one actually had old bacon grease still in it...literally. WI-FI is ridiculously slow, the 3g on my phone was actually faster. The "laundry facility" is actually (1) washer and (1) dryer.....for 50 or more guests...really. The noise from the highway is terrible. For the price, there are certainly better options in town.
There were big stains on our room floors and the room smelled quite bad but that's what you kind of expect from a Motel. Price was reasonable and staff was friendly
Clean rooms, good rates, free coffee and hot chocolate and a great location. Only a couple of minutes away from Jackson, but in return you get a great view of the mountains.
Awesome experience. The staff was awesome. Rooms were very clean. The view from this hotel is the best around. Also it was nice to stay there because unlike the other hotels in there, parking is not a problem at all. I have stayed in a few hotels in Jackson, but staying there was by far my best experience there. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
We enjoyed our stay at the Flat Creek Inn! It is just a bit outside of town, so that accounts for the lower price, but it was just what we needed. A great place to get clean and rested after a long day hiking in the Tetons.
I stayed at Flat Creek Inn this past weekend and it was perfect for what we needed. Our room was very clean and appeared to have just been remodeled. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. It was convenient to have a food mart and gas station attached to the hotel so we didn't have to travel far if we needed to get gas, snacks, or other necessary needs. I was a huge fan of the hotel's location. It is just outside of Jackson City, so parking was not an issue, and there was not much noise at night. There is also a fantastic view right outside of your door. All in all, I highly recommend this Inn for those visiting Jackson, or passing through on their way to Yellowstone.
We stayed at the Flat Creek Inn for 6 nights and found the room and service to be superb! It's the closest motel to Grand Teton National Park, and right across from the National Elk Refuge. Close enough to Jackson for convenience of shopping and dining, but far enough away from the busyness of the town. Really appreciated the microwave and refrigerator in the room, and the flat-screen TV with hundreds of channels. Reasonable rate and nicely re-decorated since the last time we stayed here. Our accommodation of choice when we come to the Tetons! : )
Pretty nice hotel but when we go to our room they didn't empty any of the trash cans from the previous guest. They are also not open late so it was hard to get our key when we showed up. Other then that it seems Otherwise clean and has really nice views from the front.
Room very small. Unsure if I would be charged for the soap. Air conditioning not great and a spider crawled across my bed. Nice having the store and gas right next door though.
Beautiful location. Not very expensive. Clean rooms and great service. Close proximity to Jackson, WY and Grand Teton National Park. Highly recommended.
We use the mart to get gas as we had back to the airport. It's also good for a quick snack or drink sometimes. The bathrooms are old, but usually clean.
Purchased day fishing liscense, friendly staff and good recommendations for places to fish.
We booked our final night here because it was the closest to the airport. We wound up not booking until a day before and I was happy they could accommodate us. The gentleman on the phone was extremely nice and helpful.
Room wound up being both the nicest and cheapest of our trip.
We did have some issues. The air conditioner didn't work (it went from 65 to 82 and back and forth). When trying to call the front desk discovered the phone didn't work (so I used my cell phone). While the front desk clerk tried to fix she was unable. She called maintenance but apparently they never called her back. We were offered a fan or to move rooms (but by this time we were unpacked and needing to go to bed for our early flight). We made the decision to stay in the room.
I would definitely stay here again - things again. Overall I loved the room and it had everything we needed.
Low shower pressure, great room and view. Convenient location. Good free coffee. No breakfast
