I of all people, as school teacher, understand that COVID-restrictions are important. What I don t understand as a mother, or as a half decent human being, why Banner has now made the decision to stop allowing guest trays for meals. My daughter just had a baby and she was able to order from the cafe with no problem, but each time my poor son in law tried to order (who was the only person allowed in the room anyway) he was denied any attempt to even PAY for his own food from the cafeteria, he was denied. He was also restricted from leaving more than once a day from their room. So he can either leave his wife attempting to recover from labor with an newborn infant, to buy all of his meals at once from an outside source, or just skip out on eating all together. As if being a new parent wasn t stressful enough. I feel bad for the poor nurses who work here, because from what I heard, they will go to any length to make sure to provide the care needed to all their patients. They are just stuck working for a company that only cares about profits and uses COVID to mask their greed and lack of morals.
