Counting down the days to cancel system hasn t worked for two days. First day can t get anyone then back and fourth they will send someone on Thursday so 4 days not working. We have had them almost 3 years and I can t wait to switch!!! PS (4 weeks later)never have heard from them except a message saying he looked forward to talking to us. So don't be fooled into thinking they actually care.

So far, everything is pretty good. Haven't really had any issues with the system so far. The salesmen and installer we're very nice and fairly professional. Service since then regarding some phone number issues has been spotty, but I have been able to solve them on my own via the website. I love my cameras and the easy use of the app so far. As of right now, it's seems like a pretty good recommendation to any one I know looking for a system.

The sales representative was very nice. He made sure all was taken care of before leaving my residence. He also followed up the next day. The technician did an awesome job with explaining how the equipment worked and advised I could call him if I had any additional questions. Although it was late, he took his time to make sure I was completely satisfied with the alarm system.

This is a scam. A rep comes to your door and offers you what they call a special deal..they even ask you to not tell your neighbors about your deal since you are an exception. Then you get a useless system (mine picks up up movements every 1-2 mins so I have about 200 videos a day and then it stops working because there are too many videos!) and when you try to problem solve with their reps you get no help. They literally told me "too bad". READ the fine print...what the rep told me was a lie ( after telling me about this company founded out of Utah by Mormons-who supposedly don't lie) and I am stuck. DONT BUY THIS

We have had the alarm system in place for a few days now and are very happy with it. Clint and the service tech who came out to install the system were both very helpful. They customized the system to our specific needs and helped explain all the different features and options that the system has.
We love being able to use our phones to control the system, view the videos from any location, and the doorbell motion detector and video are fantastic. It's nice knowing our house will be protected when we are gone.

They used third party companies 5 years ago to sell their system without putting their contract information on the contract, so when you go to cancel your almost up 5 year contract, they auto renew it and tell you sorry your paying for another year. Don't do it.

Edit 4 days later: They gracefully ended my contract after a review. I signed up with Guardian and had no idea of AMP smart. I am now free to rip it out and sell my house.

I have had my system for over a year and it has always worked great! I did a ton of research and no other company offers the amount of included equipment with no up front costs. My sales person, Jeromy Taberski, answered all of my technical questions and made it easy to use all of the automation. Thanks!

Very overpriced systems with ridiculously long con...

Very overpriced systems with ridiculously long contracts (5 years). We're now stuck paying 2-3x more than we could with other services for more than 4 years with equipment that is no better than Nest's or ADT's. They lure you in by offering you "free" equipment, but you'd be way better off buying equipment independently and paying for a different alarm service than taking their "free" offer and paying a fortune for monitoring over 5 years.

We ve had a great experience from sales to tech help. Our sales rep, Chris Wisbey was friendly and knowledgeable and most importantly has been just a phone call away for any questions or concerns. Gabby, at tech support and our serviceman Tyas Kitchen went above and beyond when we had a problem with a thermostat that turned out to be an Hvac issue. They were so understanding after all of their prompt and extensive trouble shooting. We re really enjoying the system and have already sent a friend looking for a security and smart home system their way. Very happy customer here in Tampa, Fl.

Excellent service and installation. David and Kevork were both courtious and professional. Kevork was extremely knowledgeable about the system and was able to answer all of our questions. Kevork did a bery tidy install, no wires left out and cleaned up afterwards.

Well, I too was tricked by them. The people indicate to you that they work for your current alarm company and they don't... Neither here nor there, I was ready for a new alarm anyways. I went with them. They did a good job with the installation. A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail wanting me to sign a new contract. I trashed it. I had already signed one. So I got a call asking me to sign it and send it back because the sales girl signed off saying that they wouldn't charge me for service calls, and we had both initialed it. Apparently she wasn't supposed to make that promise and so they wanted it signed again without that(AFTER they've already taken out my old alarm and put in the new one). I told them I wouldn't do it. So they sent her to my door crying saying she wouldn't get paid if I didn't sign the contract and she did her job. I said I agree that she should get paid but this isn't my fault. She made the deal, we both signed it. You can't come back after the fact and ask me to sign a new contract. That would be Bait and Switch! Anyways, I never signed it and they left me alone after awhile.

Fast forward 2 years and 3 months... Now we are selling our house. WHAT a nightmare trying to sell a house with their equipment in it! They won't let us leave it, they are insisting that we take it. They will charge us $99 to remove and install(no big deal) but we don't have a phone line at the new house to hook it up to and they don't support wireless on the keypad we have. We are getting satellite internet and Television. They don't support either of those on our keypad. We have 10 months left on our contract, we have offered to leave it behind and transfer it to the new homeowners, and we will pay the next 10 months for them, they said no. We have asked if they can give us a new keypad that is wireless, sure if we pay $200 plus the $99 relocation fee. That's the cost of 8 months of service! I said what if we just disconnect it but continue to pay the monthly fee for 10 months. Nope! Can't do that either. I said well what if we just take it out of the wall and pay you the $47 per month and yall don't have to do a thing. Youre just making a free $47 a month for doing nothing. Nope... It has to be connected for the duration of the contract. They really have us bent over a barrel here and aren't willing to compromise on any of our suggestions. Their only suggestion is pay the $300 to move it and put the new key pad in, or pay to run phone lines to our new house and pay $40 a month for a phone line in addition to the $47 we pay them.

This whole thing has been a nightmare and I can assure you that when this is over we will NEVER use them again.

Calen Cromwell was outstanding! I asked him not to give me some sales pitch and just provide the information that I was asking for. He did just that. Told me what options I had, what I could use from my old system and the price. Very simple and easy and took no time at all which is exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend him to any of my family and friends with no hesitation at all. 5 stars!!

I had a problem with my camera that it stop recording new videos/clips. I usually call every month to have it fixed. A rep named Nick gave me a call to resolved the issue. He was very helpful and took time out to call me back. He was able to walk me through the app to set up everything to avoid the problem going forward. He even advised me to give him a call if ever i will have any problem with my camera. I really appreciate the call. He is an awesome guy.

Now I am being told they can't give what they prom...

Now I am being told they can't give what they promised but if I take this down they will cancel the contact and I have to take down this review... So just waiting now ,, doe's anyone know if a good place.
I figured since I've been getting the run around I'd start giving my update....
I was told that since I didn't like the three min. Clip I should get the SVR to record 24/7. So I did. But was not told that it times out on the computer and unable to bring it up on my phone. Now... I'm told to go and get an hmdi cable. Shouldn't this be something the technician does? We got disconnected and did not call back. My next step is to cancel if not corrected within the next few days.
Below was my org. post as I was really impressed. After signing contract it's been nothing but issues. I would not recommend.
Anthony and jermey said if I had any question to call or text them... Not true as I was just told to call customer support. I was under the impression that once it detected something it would record longer than a min. And did not know you only get a certain amount of clips a month, which i ran out of living k on a busy street. Then I was advised to pay additional money and get SVR... Which I did, I'm still waiting on customer support to call me back. The whole experience has been a nightmare. Was told to go and buy an HDMI cable to keep the video on the screen.. Three stores later I found one and to no surprise did not work and system timed out.

We just had a visit from Anthony and Jeremy. Wow! These two were awesome! We purchased feeling well informed on this product and have done much research on this and others. I couldn't believe how fast they were able to install. Even after all was said and done they were still there to answer questions... I would highly recommend for sure

I have had constant problems with AMP doorbell camera where it stops working. AMP customer service says they will call me back & they do not call me back. Doorbell camera not working but yet I get no offer of monthly discount due to several disconnected timeframes! I want out of this contract they say I'm stuck till 2023! Totally disappointed with AMP!

Shady salesman!! Came in and showed us the system options then said he needed to verify we were homeowners. Asked wife her cell number and said that didn t populate in his APP, proceeded to put more info in and asked her to click the green button on his phone???? Not 5 minutes later credit alerts on our phones as he did a hard credit check and said nothing of the sort to us!!! Shady shady, I know it s not the end of the world but come on people be truthful and honest when doing business!! Now I will never do business with these people and have alerted all neighbors

UPDATE!! Hats off to Jason McRae who heard our concerns and rectified the issue promptly. Thank you again Jason and we look forward to install coming soon!!

My AMP Smart system was just installed yesterday and I am very pleased. They completely installed it the day I signed up. Things that I like most are keyless entry, heavy duty smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detector, front door camera. I could go on and on. The sales rep and installers were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Daniel is my sales rep and Christian and another nice young man (sorry I can't remember his name) my installers. I feel my family and I are safe now. This gives me peace of mind which one cannot put a price on. I love my "smart" house!

We recently changed our security system to AmpSmart and we are very satisfied with every step of the process. Our salesperson, Calen, was very helpful and knowledgeable with his product. All of our questions and concerns were handled in a professional manner. Calen is a very personable and capable young man and he never made us tech challenged people feel that our questions were a bother. The system is more user friendly than our previous one, we are glad we answered the door that day.

Stay away from this company! They are a bunch of crooks with horable service. I am going on the 3rd system with them while locked into a ridiculous contract. The last time it was replaced the tech never showed up for the service call 3 times in a row even after the scheduling manager Steve promised they would be there. Extremely long hold times every time I have called. If I want something done I have to escalate it through the company they have monitoring for them. *Update - after posting this review I was contracted by a very nice young man. He spent a lot of time on my ongoing pains and lack of service and for that I am grateful. I have been told the employees I spoke with have been mentored and that the company as a whole is working to better the whole customer service experience. A knowledgeable tech came out the other day to install my 3rd system with a differnt type. So far everything seems to be working as it should. I will update this in a few months as to how the new system has been performing.

This has been a great home security system for us....

This has been a great home security system for us. It helps us to feel safe and secure, we love being able to use video doorbell and indoor cameras. Our kids feel a lot safer and can actually sleep in their own rooms. Maddie from customer service is so compassionate and kind. And Claudia from tech support is Amazing! Cam was the one who came knocking on our door to show us this security system and we are ever so thankful he did. He is very funny, smart and personable. Amp Security has a great team and they are all more than willing to help. We would recommend them to anyone. Great quality and service

AMP Smart seems to be a great home security service with excellent Customer Service but the sales representative that I had the misfortune of getting leaves a lot to be desired. My experience with her was okay, at best, when she made her sales pitch. She made all kinds of promises and totally FAILED on a major one...to pay off my old security service. When I called her about it she ignored my calls and texts. To be straight forward, even her manager was rude and nasty. So I called Corporate and they were very helpful. I recommend AMP Smart but be VERY careful of sales reps.

The salesman Matt, was very informative and set us up with a great system. It is much easier to use than my prior system and gives me a great piece of mind. Worse service I ever got from a company, the alarm would go off in the middle of the night and when I call them nobody would answer. The windows, doors, and medical alert keep going off saying the batteries needed to be changed ever month, I don't think so. I have reported the to BBB for poor service all the way around. When I called I have to get transferred to about 8 different people before they could answer a simple question and I end back up at the first department I call to begin with so disorganized. Will never use them again and will let everyone know what crook they are.

Along with helping us have peace of mind in hour home when we are gone or home sleeping with the family, Amp SMART has also made our home much easier to remember to lock our doors, turn off lights, and keep our cost down with energy usage, especially with our Z-wave thermostats. Had a sales rep come by the house. Nice girl, very personable. Discusses our house being a trial house to advertise with their sign. I live in a cul-de-sac with virtually no through traffic, so that was really suspicious. Got the whole spiel and was offered a 3 day trial. I agreed, as long as it was a free three day trial. If they truly felt my yard was good advertisement, they should be ok with 3 free days, right? Wrong. Girl called two different managers who refused to waive the fee. Now, reading these other reviews, I understand that this is just a sales tactic. I am glad I stuck to my guns.

Dylan and Reed is very respectfully, He and Reed came back the next day to check to see that we were able to set the alarm and that the technician did her job and was respectful as well as cleaned up after the install. I love the service that Amp provide us and will be referring family and friends to Amp. Keep up the good services you are providing.

When i originally signed the contract, I told the sales rep that I did not want to sign up for a 5 year contract. I was assured that everything was changed and updated and that it would only be for 3 years. Now I am being told that it is a 5 year contract. I have had nothing but issues with the service and the equipment. I just wanted the contract to be over now I am being told that I have two more years or have to pay the$700 early term fee. This has been nothing but a scam from the beginning. The sales rep was deceitful and lied to get me sign the contract and assured all my concerns were address and she turned in updated paper work. SCAM!!!!!

First off while me and my boyfriend just built a house.. moved in and was sitting in the garage on Friday night, preparing for a birthday party on Saturday. A sales guy came up and told us that they are looking for people in our neighborhood to put up signs in the yard. We would get to pick 3 monitors and installation and equipment would be free.
A friend came over and I showed them our house and came back out to sales person telling my boyfriend that he wanted him to do this survey.. but it was no survey it was setting up services. He said that we would have a free trail to test it out but wasn't happy with all the holes in my new house. And yes a installation person was right down the street from us as well so we couldn't even think about it. Sales guy stayed here til midnight and installation til 130 am and we had to go to walmart for my kids birthday at 3am in the morning. Leaving us with few hours of sleep that night. Sales guy came back multiple times instead of just calling when we had plans, not happy.
Then after calling to cancel the rep got sales person on other line and this guy saying he is going to retain my boyfriend. As far as the paperwork goes I was on the account but according to rep when she got back on phone she asked me if I was married to the father of my child and I said no and she then proceeded to tell me I can't cancel the account. I feel completely uneasy about this whole process and after reading reviews of this being auto renewed without notification and same situations occurring with sales people, installation and rude customer service. Expecially rude customer service when you call in.. I want no part in this. I will be contacting a friend at channel 8 news and BBB about this company.
