AMP Smart is basically a big scam. The door to door salesman convinced us to give it a trial . He was very pushy and also told us we can t talk about our offer in case they want to sell it to our neighbors at a different price. I find that very shady and I m pretty sure we all got the same price. It s just another way to make you feel like you can t pass up the deal and need to do it immediately! Once we said we would give a trial within 30 minutes he had an installer headed to my house I explain to him it was 9 o clock at night and we had to be up in the morning. Didn t matter to him, the installer came and was at her house until 1130 at night. We gave the alarm a try and decided we didn t feel any safer than we did with the system we have always had. Plus, we didn t feel comfortable going into a 60 month contract and paying $73 a month. The system we have been using has no contract and is 39 a month. We have the same features. So, we decided to cancel. The sales rep came the next day and we told him we wanted to cancel. He wasn t happy. He then told me I had to call the one 800 number to cancel. I called four times and could not get anyone to cancel me. Finally I get someone to cancel me and they informed me that a technician can t come out until a week and a half later. It s funny how the technician to could out in 30 minutes when I wanted the equipment installed. So now I m stuck with no refund until they uninstall. The following day I get up and my garage open/close panel is going blinking and making a loud beeping noise. It was fine until they hooked the equipment up to it. They refused to send anyone out to look at it and asked me to troubleshoot over the phone. They wanted me to climb a ladder and look at the equipment. Sorry but, I am not an equipment expert and are they going to cover my medical bills if I fall or something were to happen? When I refuse to do the ladder they told me that unfortunately I would have to deal with the flashing light and sound until they could get out next week! I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused to get on the phone. Now, they told me that they would repair any holes left from their equipment. I don t feel too confident they re going to do that on Wednesday. I have consulted a lawyer and I have him on call if there are any issues. I will update my review then. Also- do your research. Half of theses good reviews are from employees! Facebook says now workplace but there are other ways. They are falsely making their reviews better!
