The reporting system and the website is fine, but they missed a few things on our pre-purchase inspection. One of the most glaring problems was that the underside of the kitchen cabinets is completely exposed to outside so the cold air comes blowing in during the winter. This is a major problem. Another issue they missed was electrical. All the kitchen outlets stop working whenever it rains which is probably a big safety issue.

The inspection was thorough and professionally handled. Report came in quickly. Overall a very good experience.

Very professional, very thorough, very informative. Frank had a lot of answers to questions we had, and the answers he didn t, he didn t pretend to know. Very refreshing because if you re buying a forever home, you want to make sure the home inspector has all of the attributes I just listed. He was also very personable and friendly while we had the pressure of both sets of parents with us to view the home. Fantastic service and he had all the literature ready for us and touched base with us again when we left.

Tony was both extremely thorough during the inspection and helped to explain everything in a way I understood it clearly. As a first time home buyer, that was extremely helpful. I was so thankful to have had hired Allied for the inspection as they identified a number of concerns that were unforeseen during my initial walk though, leading me to walk away from my agreement and save myself a lot of money.

Had a great experience with Allied. As a first time home buyer I had a lot of questions (some that were probably dumb) and the inspector, Tony, was very thorough, respectful, and knowledgeable of everything we were looking at inside and outside of the home. He even agreed to do the inspection on Labor Day, a day he could have had off. Thank you very much!

We had an excellent home inspection experience with Allied Inspection Services. Our inspector Matt was timely, extremely thorough and spent a good amount of time getting us acquainted with our new home and teaching us how to take care of it well! We definitely recommend!

Had a home inspection by allied, what a fun experience, not really, got the report... First off the inspector was very nice and polite, but not knowledgeable. There was trim, it was dented, god for bid its dented, it is only a cosmetic concern, that was a close one. Then there was minor low grade due to settlement, well the house was built in 1960, and stuff settles over time? right? The grade is 1% or less across the whole property (.5 ACRE ). Well god for bid if i forget to disable the locks on my garage doors, i might lock the door and try and open it with the power opener and ruin my garage door. WELL now it gets scary, we need egress in the unfinished basement, god for bid we get trapped in an enclosed space. Then I also need an exhaust fan in my bath, a gfci in my laundry room, and co detector in my living area. THEY WERE ALL THERE DURING THE INSPECTION!!!!! Well i must be finished now, no, I need drip pans under my water heater and washing machine in the basement. There reasoning is " When located on, near, or above finished spaces " Its in the basement!!!v And then there is pretty much what every house needs is caulk, caulk, and caulk. There is so much caulk needed, we should probably just start over and rebuild the damn house. ( Please don't use caulk, its old and outdated, use silicone based products when u can, its far more superior and longer lasting. ) That felt good. Thanks, Ryan.

I recommend Allied for anyone looking for a home inspection that will put them at ease. Ryan and Jerry were excellent! My fiance and I are first time home buyers so we were really worried about purchasing a house with problems because we didn't know what to look for. Jerry walked us through the house room by room pointing out what he noticed and explaining why it was important. He always made a point to check with us if we had any questions and if we understood his explanation. After the inspection I felt much more educated about the house and what was good and bad. I would recommend Allied to anyone in need of a home inspection especially if they are first time home buyers with little knowledge of houses!

Greg Moore was knowledgeable and thorough...if possible accompany your inspector during the visit and ask questions...Greg was more than happy to discuss. Significantly, he provided excellent follow up AFTER the inspection by responding to follow up phone calls and expedited testing to complete the buying process. One minor slip up with paperwork but that was promptly corrected.

Ryan was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and educated us on a lot. He knew what he was talking about and stayed professional the whole time. He was early and did a very though job!! Wish I could give more then 5 stars!!

I was well pleased with my home inspection. Greg Moore was knowage able and helpful in pointing out some defects.

We hired Allied Inspections for a home, wood destroying pests and radon inspection because the company received a high recommendation from our realtor. All three inspections were done in a timely manner. Our home inspector was Tony. He was professional, thorough and friendly. He took the time to explain the inspection and educate us on his findings and on regular maintenance steps we should take once we owned the property. Tony also took the time to fully explain the safety issues he was documenting so that we could decide which ones we wanted repaired and which ones we would address ourselves. The aspect of working with Tony that I MOST appreciated was his willingness to assist us AFTER his inspection and report were completed. We had just one or two items that were not addressed to our satisfaction during the inspection (we needed further information from our seller). After our seller provided the additional information, Tony was willing to return for a brief follow up and then update our report to document all issues to our satisfaction. This follow up was very important to me as a buyer and is one of the biggest reasons I am reviewing Allied (and Tony) at 5 stars. Thanks!

The 2 gentlemen that did the inspection were very informative and friendly. They were very helpful since I haven't had to do this in years!

From the beginning, Allied Inspection Services blew us away. When I made the original appointment, I had to change it right away due to my husband s work conflict. Being first time homebuyers, we wanted to be there and learn about our house. It was super easy to change the time and make the inspection work in the time frame it needed to be completed! Bob Quirk was very professional and really took the time to explain what he was looking at. He also gave us tips on how to maintain and make things last in the house. I loved the reports. They were easy to read and understand. I also loved the appliance recall they have available. The whole process took the stress off of first time home buying!

I would not recommend AT ALL!! They are the type of company that will sell you all the great advantages of their services, show up promptly for the inspection and rant and rave about their 3 month protection on their inspection, BUT when something is wrong with your home they will not return your calls! I'm giving Allied five stars because of the way they handled a complaint that I had. The inspector they initially sent out to do a septic inspection for a home I was buying did not seem very knowledgeable. He found a problem with the septic system, but wasn't able to tell me anything more than that the system failed inspection. I had to hire another company to come out to actually tell me what was going on and how it could be fixed. When I called Allied and told them that I was dissatisfied with the level of service I had received, they refunded the entirety of my inspection fee. I was really surprised and impressed. While I wish they had been more upfront about the limitations of their inspection, it's clear that they really value customer service.

I used Allied to inspect a property my wife and I are buying in Easton, PA. The experience was 5 stars all the way. Our inspector Justin arrived exactly on time and made the experience comfortable and educational. Justin took time to thoughtfully answer our questions about current condition of systems in the house as well as future outlook and potential issues which may be lurking not too far down the road. I felt confident in continuing negotiations with the seller with the information Allied was able to provide about the condition of the property. I applaud the professionallism and willingness to go the extra mile in educating their customer about basic maintainance items that can prevent small issues from becoming larger problems. We also used Allied to inspect thour septic system. Brock was our man. I echo the same comments. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service and would call on them again without hesitation. They made this part of our first home purchase a breeze. The additional warranties and appliance recall check service included with the inspectIon were also a pleasant bonus.

Tony was very thorough. He was friendly and professional. He was extremely clear in everything he said and if it didn t make sense due to our lack of knowledge, he was quick to explain in a way that made sense.

Our seller kept interrupting the inspection randomly and awkwardly. Tony made sure to keep the results as private as possible even though the seller kept interrupting or her adult daughters did. Even with that added pressure and awkwardness, he completed a strong, thorough inspection.

We dodged a bullet in almost buying a property with a bad roof and many issues due to amateur work. We could have negotiated with the seller if the sellers hasn t been so shifty, but that s a different story. We hope that our next inspection comes up with little to no problems present and that the seller is reasonable to negotiate with. Either way we got solid intel on the property from Tony.

That said, I would recommend getting family and friends to look over your inspection report with you if you re a first time home buyer. Realtors and inspectors are somewhat limited in speculation and options, so share the results so you re even more solid in your understanding of what you re buying.

P.S. - Not sure what the negative reviewers thought they were getting, but I am glad that the report was thorough. If something is a problem and classified in the wrong level of repair, who cares? It was still a problem with your house.

Save yourself the frustration and don t go with the company your realtor is friends with.

My husband and I are first time home buyers looking for a house that does not have any major problems, so we wanted to make sure our inspection would be very thorough. Allied came highly recommended by our realtor and we are so glad we chose their services! Our inspector, Matt, encouraged us to follow him through the rooms, explained anything troubling that he saw, and thoroughly answered all of our questions and concerns. There were a number of major problems that he discovered, so we decided to walk away from the house. We will definitely use Allied for our next inspection. Do not use this company. Inspector Matt Eddinger left a hot wire in my attic. Luckily only ruined our ac unit, but could have burnt down our whole house. Now he is refusing to take care of the issue he created. Also just found today smoke detectors without batteries in our home. So not only could our house have burnt down, but we could have not be notified in time from lack of working detectors. These people should be reported to the state and not allowed to inspect anyone s homes.

Do not believe all of the falsely inflated reviews you will read here. This company begs for good reviews, and when there is a major issue they failed to address, they make you sign a disclaimer that states you will remove all bad reviews. So anyone that settled an issue had to remove their reviews, leaving only the good reviews below.

The true mark of a company is not how they act when things are good, but how they stand up to their reputation and make things right when they are wrong. This company fails in this regard. They claim a third party will get involved in disputes, but their third party is just another inspector employed by Allied, which is a huge conflict of interest. They send their own contractors to evaluate problems, and fail to address the major issues that are found. They are more interested in protecting their wallet than the safety of your family.

If you are going to use them, be sure to ask about what happens if they miss something and how they solve disputes.

Choosing a home inspector is not an easy task, especially if you are new to an area. Anyone can come across looking competent and smart to a buyer that is not an expert in homes and is emotionally invested in a huge purchase of a new home.

I chose allied from a recommendation of two possible places. On paper they sounded good. They were punctual and respectful. Of course they found no major issues and the home sale went through. They pointed out many things that were very well built, and struggled to find any flaws.

A few months later and we are settled into the home. We discovered a major safety issue that wasn't only a "miss" on their part, but it was actually something they pointed out as very well done! I had two contractors come evaluate and tell me that my deck was a major safety concern and I shouldn't let my kids anywhere near it. They were not trying to sell me a new deck but were there for other work. They pointed out several major structural problems that seem so obvious that I have no idea how they were missed. This is a several thousand dollar problem that should have never been missed.

Greg from Allied was at the property early, and was started already when we got there. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Also, he explained everything he was doing, and any and all concerns he saw. I would definitely recommend Allied for any home inspection.

We had Randy for our inspection today, and Brock for our septic. My wife and I were nervous about what to expect, but these guys were very professional, knowledgeable, and just over all a pleasure to work with. Not only was their service top notch, but their rate was by far one of the lowest, especially since they offer everything. I and another first time homebuyer were looking for a home inspector and had Allied recommended to us by a friend, so we hired them to do an inspection a couple days ago. Tony Spagnola came out for the inspection and took his time to do a really thorough job. We had a lot of questions for him, and he took his time to give us the answers we needed or told us where we could find our answers for questions that would take a specialist of some kind. He got a detailed report in the next day with plenty of explanations and pictures. Overall, a really good experience.

I contacted Allied over 3 weeks ago, regarding my dissatisfaction with there service, and I still have not heard any response yet. This shows me that they truly don't care what the consumers think.

As far as the inspection itself, I can only review the inspector that I experienced. Below is a summary of the letter I sent to the company over 3 weeks ago...

The inspector showed a lack of courtesy in the way he treated our home. I don't think that I should have to clean up after the inspector leaves, but that is exactly what ended up happening. Not only were things left out of place but I had to sanitize surfaces throughout the house where I found his footprints where he was climbing up on my stuff in his bare feet. He also felt the need to rip my base moulding from the wall in several locations and not re-secure it. I also found several light fixtures as well as our digital house humidifier display, all of which have never had a problem before, to be no longer be functioning.

The inspection report contained many "discrepancies" that if given any thought can be easily explained and should have been omitted. This shows the inexperience of the inspector and lack of understanding of what is truly a "safety hazard". After reviewing the inspection report with another certified home inspector, we found many of the findings to be erroneous. Just to give one example, the following "Major Defect" was listed on the report:

"Major Defects

There are sections of the basement wall that were wet at the time of the inspection. You should have a qualified contractor evaluate the source of the water and make repairs."

In the 9 years I have been living in the home, the walls have never been "wet", nor were they immediately following the inspection. Following the descriptions of this "Major Defect" are images of a moisture reader with elevated readings. The readings were taken on an area of the paneling that was patched because of damage. The patched panel is a little too large for the area and therefore slightly concave, causing contact between the paneling the foundation. After reviewing this with another home inspector, he checked this "discrepancy" and reported the following:

" I tested the wall in pin mode which allowed for the direct testing of
the wall finish material. My readings were an averaged between 1.5 to 5% moisture which is not considered elevated with my meter. The walls finish under the windows in the basement id in contact with the concrete or block foundation wall. Utilizing a surface non- invasive type moisture meter could have shown a false high moisture reading due to the difference in density of the wood paneling and the foundation wall."

This, among many other "discrepancies" on our inspection report are easily explained and show a lack of experience / knowledge by the home inspector.

Overall I am very dissatisfied with the way our home was inspected.

Will not recommend for your hard earned money and the risk associated being a buyer

It has been very difficult experience with Allied, the report is done with missing tags so we had to follow up just to get where in the house the report was pointing only to get vague responses.

I literally had to coordinate Termite Inspection (even when listed on their own website as an integrated service) for them as they used a Third Party and they weren t available, no visibility on scheduling, very loosely put together operation for the Cost.

Pool/spa Inspection: Do not choose at all, that 115 usd was a total loss as the inspector only operated hottub superficially and made excuse of access for every question. The list on the site is misleading to say the least.

All in all go pick someone else and have peace of mind.

I was recommended to Allied through my realtor Pam Landis. I was sent email reminders as well as a follow up phone call the day before the appointment. We had chose to do a whole home as well as a septic inspection. They made sure the appointments were back to back so there was no wait time in between. Both Brock our septic inspector and Duane our home inspector were both so kind and not only went through the steps with me but also thoroughly explained everything. It was such a pleasant experience I would recommend them to everyone!!

Extremely thorough inspection. Justin was great. He explained everything to us, answered all our questions and provided professional insight to equip us in making the best decisions for our family. He never made us feel rushed, took his time and we truly believed him when he said that he would inspect the property as if he was purchasing the home himself. Being first-time homebuyers, we didn t know what to expect but we trusted our realtor s suggestion on using Allied and we feel confident that we made the right decision. They have always provided an outstanding product, they explain items during the inspection and after, and they have provided information to address concerns raised by buyers. They are professional, prompt, and honest. Traits that are not very common these days. I would recommend Allied for any inspection needs.

Our experience with allied home inspection was awesome. From scheduling that was made easy to having the inspector out we were very happy with their services . Matt Engle did ours and he was amazing. They make sure you know and understand everything . They are super quick with the home report and also offer allot of things for free at the end ( home warranties ranging from 90 days to 5 years). They also have this awesome program that sets up all your utilities in your new home for you. I highly recommend going through allied.
