My heating system went out just at the onset of the deep freeze coming into Texas this week. Called A#1 Air and they sent Jamal out within a few hours. He quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered up the necessary replacement parts. He also discovered one of the issues was an electric breaker malfunctioning and scheduled the electrician to get that fixed the the next morning as well. Ronaldis came this morning and got the breakers replaced and Jamal was back this evening with the replacement parts for the heater and got my system back up and working just in time before the big deep freeze. Jamal and Rondalis were both very friendly and professional and did an excellent job. I appreciate Jamal organizing the electrical fix in addition to repairing the heating system. Definitely recommend Jamal abs Rondalis and A#1 Air. I ve used A#1 for over 15 years and they always provide quality service and friendly, knowledgeable technicians.

This is a fantastic company that I initially doubted. Had a technician come out Wednesday (11/16/16) and diagnosed my furnace as having a faulty ignitor. Through some miscommunications, the part was several days late in coming in. Today, 11/22, technician Charlie S. comes out, replaces the part but then realizes it was not the part that was bad. After several hours of work, he fixed the problem. I finally now have heat. A#1 Air made good on their promise. Plus, Charlie S. found a flaw in the placement of the ignitor and the flame sensor on my unit. From the factory, the unit had those parts switched. The unit still worked, but just not to its maximum. Congratulations to technician Charlie S. and A#1 Air. I'm a customer for life, now. Highly recommended.
A/C was working fine prior to the service. They added refrigerant and charged $299 for a $20 dual capacitor so buyer beware of that upsell they will try. Outside of being ripped off there, they provided me with terrible advice on my drainage system, saying that it was fine, when it wasn't. Their advice was to install a french drain which after speaking with actual experts, is not even close to the correct advice. The primary and secondary condensate were sharing the same drain which is what needed to be fixed - not a french drain outside the house. By missing this, i got thousands of $s of damage from a leak in my ceiling. All in all, there is nothing special about this company even though you'll see their trucks driving around and they claim to be customer oriented. The technicans are new and inexperienced but are quite good a trying to take advantage of customers that don't know anything.
Our AC broke so we called them. They scheduled us a visit that was a week later. Kinda long for current temperature, but okay. Their window they gave us was very large - 1-6 pm. They do not show at all despite us calling them and them calling us confirming the appointment several times and them assuring us that "someone was on the way". Someone never was on the way.
I'm quite unhappy as it's 90+ degrees in our home and we could've gone with someone with a better response time and reliability in the first place.
I just couldn't say enough about the service. These guys came in and honestly assessed the damage and returned the next day with a new system. Very professional and when I got home from work I was blown away. Inside and out beautiful job, no trash, no problems. Couldn't be happier with the service.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! After the repairman argued with me about doing some unneeded work on my a/c system he charged me 340+ dollars for a simple part he failed to properly install. He left loose screws close to electric wires which were a fire hazard and shock hazard. He tried to Up sell me on work that didn't need done. And after all that, he left a drain hose dis-connected which let water leak out and damaged my beautiful natural wood parquet floors. I told the company on the phone about the damage and they would not address the damage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
I've heard their advertisements on the radio for years and they were the first people I thought of. They went above and beyond the call of duty!! My technician Aaron R. was timely, friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. I called A#1 air and they had someone at my house almost immediately. The call center was great and their overall service was excellent!! I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone I know. If you are needing services you will be glad you chose A#1 air!!
I called A#1 Air to replace my thermostat. A#1 sent a rep named "AB" and he got right down to business replacing my thermostat and checking my system for any other issues. He was friendly and professional and I was very impressed with the entire process. The rep on the phone stated a time window and A#1 called me a couple of times to update me on my status. The rep arrived right in the middle of that time window and it took him no time to get my A/C running again. I will definitely contact this company again! **Please note, we could not find the technician AB's name on the A#1 site for ReviewBuzz reviews. I wrote this review for my mother, Linda Phillips. The comfort technician Jay was fantastic. He was very helpful, professional, not rude at all, and above all else else patient with us. We took quiet some time to make the decision and bite the bullet; he was never pushy about the landing the job.
Thomas and Yermo were my installers. Total pros. They worked around my whole family being home due to the school closures over the virus concerns. Our job was a massive overhaul and they were courteous and awesome through the whole job. Well you done.Thank you for everything.
They installed a new unit with 18 months no interest and a 10 year warranty. If the payment was not made in full in 18 months, a 7K unit would end up costing me 19K. I live in a two story condo. They said I would need a yearly service check up for about $60 to keep the warranty valid. They called to schedule the appointment in June but the first appointment would be in August. I reminded them of the two story condo since my unit is on the roof. They said they were aware. After waiting two months for the appointment, they call me on the day of my appointment and tell me there will be a $75 ladder fee added. If the inspection is not done, my warranty may not be valid. No ladder fee was ever discussed in the past. It'll cost me $75 to supply them with a ladder to do a $59 inspection, so $750 extra in ten years to cover their 10 year warranty. They came back about about 4 times during the install because my condo would not stay cool during the afternoon, early evening. It gets 84+ in my condo and it's blamed on my attic ventilation, not their unit. Would not recommend this company at all!!!!!
Terrible. We had to reschedule with them 3 times. They did not call us to notify us they couldn't come and finally the day they came they said they were showing up the morning of that day but didn't show up till 9 at night. Aweful.
AB with A#1 Air was very professional and did an excellent job troubleshooting our issues. Should we need, we would be very happy to work with him again. We highly recommend A#1 Air.
They wouldn't honor what they advertise free estimate". Insist on $65 service charge to visit to give an estimate to install a light fixture. In a digital world emailed pictures and video are not enough for them. Nice company, I have worked with them in the past. But a firm that doesn't reward customer loyalty and wants to spend thier money on marketing instead, is just being run by the wrong people I guess.
Darren showed up at the time promised and quickly diagnosed why we were not getting hot air out of our heating unit. He repaired the issue and shared another concern with our unit. He provided possible solutions but was not pushy about upselling us. I will use A #1Air again.
David and Mark were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The install went smoothly, and I feel comfortable calling A#1 in the future for all my service needs.
Incredible job by both the technician, Brandon C. and Hooper our comfort advisor. Nobody likes being told you have to replace a new A/C unit, but they made the process very easy and painless. I can't say enough good things about my experience. I would absolutely recommend A Number 1 Air.

My two HVAC techs could not have done better or been cooler or more professional, I had conference calls/webex meetings all day long and it was like they weren't even all over my house, garage, attic, backyard. Also, Jeff B. the Manager worked with me for a couple days on financing or cash options and we picked the best option for me. I have an awesome 16 seer 2-speed system with AprilAire filter system. I am a maintenance plan member and I am set. A fair deal and a good job is what is paid for and expected for a major investment like this, and I feel I got just that.
If I could leave minus stars I would!! We are a family of six and have only had sporadic water service since February 8th due to a leak in our plumbing in the slab. It is now February 17th and we have just been told they can t finish the job as promised because it is wet. They did nothing for the past 2 days when it was nice due to multiple excuses. Meanwhile we have had to turn water off and on for brief periods of time just to flush toilets, quickly shower etc.
I have never been so disappointed and upset. We were given appt times which were not kept or changed without our knowledge. Then due to their lack of communication and zero follow through we are left for another weekend without a fixed leak because when we turn in the water it leaks into the house and never mind the wasted water!!
We have had our air and heat units replaced by A#1, a tankless water heater installed (which was a less than stellar experience) and now this. For the money they charge the service is not what I expect. They are too expensive and not trust worthy after this debacle.
Don't use them! Their "tech" came out, spent literally 8 minutes in the attic, and then came down to tell me how "the blower" needs to be replaced.
Said nothing about the motherboard, capacitor, blower motor, power, or blower wheel...just "the blower." He then proceeds to tell me how the coils are covered in oil and need replacing too. His recommendation was to replace the whole unit for $20,000.00. But hey, they had 0% financing for 60 months, right? What's $20,000.00?
Called another business who came out for free. I told him nothing about my experience with A#1 Air. Jason said that it was the capacitor that went out (after inspecting the unit for about 15 minutes) and that the coils were dirty, but nothing to be alarmed about.
Josh Prather came out to do a tune-up on my 2 heat pumps. He arrived precisely on time, was well groomed and polite. I have had several other companies do similar procedures in past years and none were anything as comprehensive as this one. Josh spent over 2 hours checking things out and thoroughly debriefed me on what he found. Luckily things were in pretty good shape but he did make some recommendations for improvement. I appreciated the suggestions rather than a hard sell. All-in-all a very pleasant experience. Josh and A#1 Air should be commended. I will recommend them to my friends. Good work!
Basically paid $80 for a salesman/technician to try to sell me new units. He was very reluctant to give me written quotes because they charge about 2 times more than what their competition charges.
A#1 Air is the best. They are always prompt and call ahead to let you know when they will be arriving. The technicians are very neat and are careful to always to wear foot coverings in the house.
The service person they sent out to my house went above and beyond on servicing my AC spending multiple hours making sure everything was working correctly. I also signed up for the subscription to have service every year because of the great service, but then I had to move. I was expecting a hard time getting a refund but their customer service was great and so understanding. I would definitely recommend this company.
My tech, Les McDaniel was very helpful and understanding of the problem I was having. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to listen to my concerns and explain things where I could understand them. He did a fantastic job today. Every time I have used A#1 Air, I have been impressed with everyone from the people who answer the phones and make the appointments, to the service tech and even the followup caller to make sure everything went smoothly. I highly recommend this company.

Sam Andrei, the service technician, did an excellent job explaining everything that was wrong and recommended their club membership to prevent any issues with it. They may be pricey compared to smaller HVAC companies; however, the saying is you get what you pay for.
I remember why chose this company, within 14 hours of my issue they had it fixed. They provide absolutely the best customer service in the industry. I would use them again in a heart beat, they above the rest. Sadly for me the issue was not covered by warranty. Preston the service tech did an amazing job and was pleasant and very knowledgeable.
Mike helped us correct a long time AC system existing since our home construction. In less than 24 hours, we had a complete Lennox A/C & furnace system replaced and cooling us again!! Installers were AMAZING - Jose, Rubin, Eric and Julio. Thanks Team for great installation service!!!

I am beyond displeased with my service from this company. I was told that I needed a new AC system to reduce my electric bill, the new system made no difference, I then had them send an electrician out to see where the power consumption was coming from, he did a few voltage tests and said "you should prolly just replace the panel" another 39 dollars down the drain. Didnt test the breakers, didnt turn anything off to see what was running the meter. After speaking on the phone with Oncor they advised me to turn off the breakers one by one to test the usage. Turns out when I turned off one of the breakers my usage went down tons. Breaker is not associated with the AC at all, so I spent over 9k on a system that was unneeded, they tried to sell me another 4k panel replacement that was not needed, and im still paying stupid high electric bills and now a home improvement loan. I feel like I was conned into buying something I obviously did not need. The manager I spoke to said he wouldn't discuss it until I could provide proof the system didn't do what they promised, upon sending the information I have heard nothing from them.
Edit: Still have not hear back even after making 2 phone calls to the company and them posting they want to make it right on here. Have been forced to file a complaint with the company that financed the work. So much for that 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Edit: Manager called back today and offered 500 refund on a 9 thousand dollar system that was totally unneeded. Stated that it was my fault they installed something that wasnt needed because I let them do it. So to date they have sent 4 people to my house, the original guy that was only supposed to do a tune up and told me my until was bad and needed to be replaced, the "comfort expert" who looked at my outside unit and said "you need a whole new system" without even looking at the inside unit and only going off of my high electric bill, (which was caused by the broken hot water heater), the electrician they sent to check the panel (whom I had to pay extra for) hooked up a tool to test electric usage and some how missed that the hot water heater was pulling 2kwhs every 15 minutes and chalked it up to "probably being a bad panel and a new one is about 4 thousand" and a senior tech who said "with the amount of insulation and new windows in this home you should be able to run a system 24/7 and not break 250 on AC usage on your bill, I cant see why they would claim the AC was the problem. Its probably the meter"
So to sum it up, I wanted a AC tune up, bought a cleaning of the entire system since it was dirty and was then told that my AC system was "100% the cause of your high electric bills" after paying for the cleaning service. They have made 0 attempt to resolve the situation past trying to just shut me up with a 500 dollar refund that doesn't solve anything. I still have the same issues I had when they walked into my home. I believe this is fraud as they sold me something under false pretenses.
In general, I have had a wonderful experience with A#1 Air. The technicians have been very knowledgeable and upfront. My appointment today for A/C maintenance was performed by Roy. I highly recommend Roy. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and an overall great guy!

Although this company has provided great service in the past, it was less than this time around. We waited nearly 5 hours for service yesterday without ac in late July here in North Central Texas. We finally had to reschedule the following day as it was getting late. The following day, dispatch called and told us they may / may not provide service in the afternoon, depending on the service techs schedule. In the meantime, no ac. I d recommend these folks if you re willing to wait, and work around their service schedule.
Andy with A#1 air was awesome. He was on time, courteous and kept me in the loop the whole time. Had pretty extensive system maintenance done with Andy here for about 3 hours. He was honest and was able to get everything done today without needing to come back. Even had someone from their office bring out a new drain pan so he could complete the work today without having to order the pan and come back. Andy and A1 air are fantastic. Not your typical HVAC company, and that is definitely a good thing. Can't recommend enough!
Yesterday a technician came out and told me that my 7 year old unit was shot (rusted out coils and leaking Freon) and that I needed a new one. He gave 2 written quotes for a new unit (that did not contain detailed information), and recommended that I finance through A#1. I thought about it over night and called back this morning to ask that A#1 add Freon to the unit to get it working temporarily until I decided what to do about replacing it. A different technician showed up today and fixed the unit - the air filter had been sucked up into the vent and was blocking the air flow. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!!!
Update 8/20 - had a good conversation with them today that cleared up some of the lack of communication we had previously. They are sending someone out to clean up this week. They ve been very responsive to the review and I ll likely take it down once the clean up is done.
Update 8/23 - they showed up and cleaned up. Exactly on time and well done. So ultimately after some adventure they did a good job of correcting issues and making the job finish out right, which isn t always easy to accomplish and much appreciated by me. Things in big jobs don t always go perfect, but a company can be measured by their desire to correct it, and they did.
I was both surprised and pleased to meet my Service Tech Samantha. It pleases me to see a woman pursue a career in a non traditional field. Samantha was very courteous and adhered to the mask and social distancing requirements. Aside from her pleasant demeanor, she was very thorough in determining the problem I had paid for with another Company's Tech just 2 months prior. Though it was more costly today, I am confident she knew what she was doing and gave it her utmost attention. I will definitely ask for her in the fall when it comes time to service my heating unit.
I would recommend Sam K and A#1 Air for any plumbing service. Sam K was professional, communicative, and personable. He provided a cost estimate and explained the time and parts involved. Sam K is a very good representative of this company.

I signed up for A#1 Air's $99 a/c service promotion and it turned into a bit of a nightmare when my condo was damaged during what should have been a routine service. The tech was awful and tried to lie his way out of the situation. Fortunately, the customer service team came through after a bit of back and forth. Our immense gratitude to Leslie for working with us to resolve this very stressful issue.

On Saturday night my wife and I came home to find no AC. We called A#1 because we used them in the past with great results. Sunday they sent Li Chen out to look at our unit. He concluded that it was the blower and he would have to order it and it would take 24 to 48 hours to get the part in.The part came in on Tuesday morning but it was his day off. He decided to come in on his day off to make sure we had a working AC. First I want to say to him thank you but also to mention he is a professional, knowledgeable and caring individual who sets the mark for the sevice industry. This is how you slam dunk customer satisfaction.
I have been so impressed by everyone at A#1 Air. From the telephone folks, the installers & especially Noel. He has made three trips to make sure that my unit is working properly. They will have my future business & I will certainly recommend them to my friend s & family.
A #1 Air is not all they appear to be, their sale personal are one place above a use car salesman, we needed a new AC system and willing to pay for a good system, we added a new hot water system too, and that's were it looked good on paper. That was the start of our nightmare. All I can say is we wished we had never used them for any products or services, what a waste of money.

I contacted A#1 Air a couple of weeks ago to see about getting a technician to repair my air conditioning unit that was turning on inside but not turning on outside. The technician came in and after some investigating said I had a Freon leak. He said my three options were to 1) do nothing, 2) replace the inside unit for $4500, or 3) replace the inside and outside unit for $7500. He also said that if I purchased a whole system, I could get a nest home thermostat, a ring doorbell, and a google mini installed for an extra $300 (when these had been advertised on the radio as being free). Obviously that's a lot of money I didn't have on me, so the technician mentioned that they had financing available. While he was running my credit, I made the decision that I wanted to get a second opinion from another company/repairperson. After informing the technician of this, he then offered me 10% off the entire system to "sweeten" the deal and told me he "had to do some leg work to get you this loan". (Like what, answer a few questions from a loan officer that took maybe 5 minutes? Give me a break.) I once again informed him I wanted to contact someone else, but I paid for the dispatch fee and thanked him for coming out. Two days later I had a different company come look at my system. The new technician recognized that my system did not have a Freon leak after all, but simply had a clog in the drain and needed a Freon recharge of less than 1 lb. I asked him about the life of my inside and outside systems and whether they needed to be replaced, and he said no, that with regular maintenance they should last about 5-10 more years before I need to start thinking about replacing them. The cost of this visit was only $85 - versus $4500 or $7500 from before - and my air conditioning has been working perfectly ever since. I have since called A#1 Air to cancel the loan I was approved for, and reported their technician to the customer service department, who said they would inform his manager and have his manager call me. That was 10 days ago, and I'm still waiting on that call. I'm sure there are some good people that work there, but just beware that there are some bad ones too that only care about making a big sale and not actually fixing your air.
I setup the appointment to A1 schedule of 12-4 the day before; they called the day of at 10am to say it will be between 2-4; the called at 4pm to say it would be later but they did not specify a time. I Called to complain to customer service and salvage the day and she said that she would check with dispatch to see whats going on and that she would call me back. I Called back at 4:30pm to find out whats going on and no one was working on my disaster. I arrange my entire day to fit around there service call and there service was a big disappointment and waste of my day. Wish I knew a responsible AC company. There system will not let me post a 0 star.
Well these guys are decent! They come in - their service call is not too expensive (60$ vs. 100$ for other companies) and they give you multiple options to address the problem.
Adam was amazin, polite and professional!! He listened to my concerns, completed the tune up service and went the extra mile to figure out what was causing my major concern (compressor randomly kicking on and off). Previously Royal Air had come out and told me nothing was wrong took their fee and left. Thank you Adam for the great job and personal service!!
Glenn and his teammate were great. They got to my home in the time they said they'd. And did a great job fixing my guest bathroom faucet and, at my request, did a fantastic job replacing my kitchen faucet.
The service A#1 Air provided on a rental home property was second to none! It was their first day moving in and the AC stopped cooling. I was very worried that they were going to have to wait a long time to get their ac fixed. No only did they fix the problem (not cooling at all ) but also recommended some very cost-effective changes that I could make to ensure this did not happen again. The previous AC companies that came out charged me at least $300 per visit. The technician was professionally dressed and A#1 Air was in constant communication with me. They came out within the two hours that they said the technician, Cody would arrive. I really appreciated being able to run errands and stay out of the heat until they arrived. I wish other companies were as considerate on other people's time. Cody was professional and very knowledgeable but most importantly trustworthy. I would definitely recommend using A#1 Air for anyone looking for the BEST ac company in the DFW metroplex. They made me feel important and got it completed in a timely matter. We've been working with A#1 Air for 3 years and they have always provided good customer service, but the individual technicians can be hit or miss. Today RANDY MCKINZIE performed our service and is hands down the best technician than we have had, period. Knowledgeable, shoots straight and gave us the real information that allowed us to plan for the inevitable replacement of our aging AC unit. I will be requesting Randy in the future. -JV
Great job! This is the second time I have used A #1 Air once to install a new water heater and this time to service my A/C. They are very professional and friendly and do a really good job. The technician who serviced my A/C unit (Andy V.) the other day was very helpful and explained everything in detail. He was also very quick and efficient and got everything up and running in a very short time. I feel confident in using this company ... give them a call!

I called to see about them coming out to check my tankless water heater. The service guys came out and said "is their any codes that popped up on your screen" I said no there has not been any. Then he said "well we do not work on this brand anyway, but I can flush it out for $300 on monday, well if you do not service this brand why would i want you to flush it for $300.That was a short version of our conversation. My whole point is, when you call and ask for a service on a product like, let's say a tankless water heater, you should ask what brand, that way instead of finding out when they get here, that they do not service that brand. It was a waste of my time and theirs

A#1 Air is a complete rip-off operation. A#1 was called because our home A/C wasn t working well and their diagnostic test was what we thought was competitive at $59. Upon arrival the service tech (Jordan) checked our system he said that the system was 1 lb low of refrigerant. My reply was well that s not so bad the new refrigerant is pretty cheap His reply was not this stuff it s $1000 per jug He also said that the capacitor was faulty and barely working. My reply again Great, that s probably the cheapest part that could break. I replaced a capacitor on my garage door and the part was like $11. Jordan s response was Not this type of capacitor, this type is a dual band, so they re like a couple hundred bucks. Well, A#1 Air charges $90 a lb for 410A refrigerant that cost $6 per lb and charged $299 to put in a $28 capacitor that took literally five mins. This is done with deception when people who are in distress because of the need of air conditioning in Texas heat and not know the true cost and if we are being lied to. This was confirmed when I comparison shopping and the same services with 1/4 the price.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH A#1 AIR IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY!!! Google 410a for the true price as amazon even sells it for $155 for a 25 lb tank shipped the capcitor that I was told was a couple hundred bucks cost $28.62 as an OEM part.
