I was in the pediatric ER not too long ago, when I told my on call doctor that I had an inflamed nerve on that particular arm. She heard what I said, but overlooked it and continued to put the IV in my bad arm. Throughout the whole time I was there my whole arm was numb.

the emergency room here was slow and the employees...

the emergency room here was slow and the employees there are more akin to a hotel concierge (if you want he best falafel place ask them) than someone who could answer your hospital questions.
when told it would 'be only a few minutes' spirits rose. 2.5 hours later and still sitting.

Night time staff is a nightmare, each time it took an hour to get cold pack or pain meds.
I opted to check out a day earlier to avoid spending another night at the hospital.

Wonderful hospital with good doctors and nurses... just not enough of them working the ER... the last three times we came here for an emergency we waited over two hours (with our kids!!!). Probably best to go to children s hospital or MGH where the wait time is better.
